Kind of short. -shrugs- Working on building up stuff. I gots more plans now.

The door to the apartment was forced open by the powers of the still enraged wolf. The jackalope stayed behind him, about to close the door before the wolf shut it with a slam. Desmond's paws slowly lowered to his sides as he looked down to his feet. He wanted to read Ryker's mind and just help him not be as angry as he was, but he knew better. He turned around slowly, looking through his dark bangs at the wolf that now plopped down on the couch, turning on the television. Unnerved, Desmond walked to the refrigerator, clearing his throat which had a knot in it.

"Do you... Want anything?" He asked, not looking away from the fridge. There was a pause as he could feel the gaze of the wolf on him.

"Yeah." Ryker replied with a soft smile as he looked over his companion. Desmond suddenly felt a tugging sensation on his tail, ushering a gasp as he started to walk backwards in the direction of the force after closing the fridge. He stopped at the couch, feeling Ryker's legs against the back of his own. He slowly sat down on his lap, turning a bit to see Ryker's face, the smile still there. Desmond looked down, closing his eyes as he nuzzled into the wolf's soft furry neck. His nose was overwhelmed with Ryker's scent, causing him to calm down a bit.

"I'm.... Sorry... I don't mean to-" Desmond started as he felt Ryker nose into his hair. His willpower couldn't hold back the smile that came to his sullen face.

"Stop apologizing. You know how I hate that." Ryker said, taking in the scent of the jackalope, the calm taking over him too. He kissed the boys head before resting his own against it. "I have you here. You're safe. All that matters."

Desmond's smile grew a bit more with Ryker's words. The wolf had some immense power of the telepathic mind controller's emotions. Desmond was so used to being the controller, not the controlled. That changed when he met Ryker. The wolf may not have had the power to push thoughts into people's heads like the jackalope he held in his lap, but Desmond would do just about anything Ryker asked him to do. It was the strangest thing to Desmond, but he loved it. He loved the feeling. Ryker may push his buttons, but he pushed them just right.

With a soft nod, the jackalope agreed to the wolf's demand. He slowly adjusted himself in Ryker's lap, turning and straddling him as he looked into his two toned eyes. Ryker looked back, watching the grey eyes examine his own features. In that moment, Desmond remembered why he stuck by this wolf. Why he would do anything he wanted. Why he would stay by his side until the end of their time. His paw moved up to Ryker's cheek, cupping it as he leaned in, kissing the man. His eyes slowly closed as he felt Ryker's paws move from his hips, traveling his body slowly. It caused a small shiver in the jackalope as his fur stood up from the many weak spots on his body that Ryker passed over. Suddenly the wolf adjusted their position, laying the jackalope on his back while he hovered over him.

Desmond blushed up at the wolf as he felt him using his powers. Ryker was tugging up Desmond's beater, lifting it over his head and off his antlers with ease. After that, the wolf took the jackalope's paws in his own, pinning them above Desmond's head as the two maintained eye contact. Ryker slowly leaned down, kissing Desmond again before making a trail of kisses and nibbles along Desmond's jaw, stopping at his neck. Desmond tilted his head to the other side, letting himself be vulnerable for the wolf. His neck was worshipped with more nips and kisses as he watched Ryker move back a bit, a force keeping Desmond's arms pinned back. He smiled softly as he closed his eyes, suddenly feeling more kisses trailing down from his neck to his chest. Then the canines tongue slipped out, making an actual trail down Desmond's chest as the jackalope let out a soft moan. He arched up into the pleasure, gasping as the wolf blew his breath at the dampened fur. As Ryker went farther south, Desmond's ears perked up.

"Ryker... Wait..." He whispered as he felt his shorts begin to be tugged down. If it weren't for another presence around, Desmond would be fully enjoying his moment with Ryker.

"Shhh... Let me try this..." He whispered back to the jackalope, kissing a trail down past his waist line, tugging down the males boxers. His paws trailed down Desmond's sides, his second power coming out to play as they made his fingertips emit small blue sparks, causing static shocks to Desmond's sides. Just as Ryker was about to nuzzle into Desmond's sheath, a loud crack came from outside startling the two from their moment. "What is it Des?" He asked, a bit annoyed from the interruption, but also confused.

"There's.... Others here..." Desmond said, sitting up as his ears twitch a bit more, trying to get an idea of who was here and what they wanted. There was another crack, closer sounding as his eyes grew wide. "Other mutants... They... They're recruiting?" Desmond asked, questioning what he was reading telepathically. Ryker got up from the couch, looking to the window to see outside, but saw nothing. Desmond shot up as he looked to Ryker nervously. "By force... They know I can hear their thoughts. Ryker, we need to go."

And without hesitation, the two flitted around their home, grabbing valuables that they brought and the food that Ryker stole as they moved to the door. Desmond had pulled on his sweater for a quick cover up, along with his shorts back on. Just as he opened the door, a blast of air threw him back into the apartment against the wall with a yelp. He lay on the floor, slowly getting up as Max glared out the door. He stepped outside looking around as he felt a rise in the winds speed. His eyes darted everywhere before he caught sight of a group of other anthros down in the parking lot.

"Ahhhh, if it isn't the infamous thief." Laughed a feline down below, tail swaying in moonlit night.

"Yeah. That's me. What do you want?" Ryker growled as he took a defensive position, not taking his eyes off the assaulters.

"Well, we need your help of course. That little... Rabbit... Can help too if he becomes tamed." The feline said snidely, his little followers looking up at the wolf. As they looked, the jackalope came up beside him, causing the others to look away.

"Ryker... These people are bad... They just want to destroy everything-" Desmond said before being cut off.

"Ahhh. I'm not fond of having my mind read." The feline said loudly as he raised an arm. Instantly, Desmond stopped talking as he looked at Ryker in shock. "There's this neat trick about air. It's needed for so many things." The man laughed manically as Ryker glared down at them.

"Stop this. I'll help, just stop hurting him." Ryker said as the feline started to walk forwards.

"Good choice, lad. Exactly what we wanted to hear from you." He said as he lowered his arm, Desmond getting his voice back with a few coughs.

"Ryker.... We shouldn't...." He started as he got to his feet. Ryker ran over to him, helping him up and supporting him.

"Des... I don't have the power to fight them off. We won't make it... We have to play this smart." The wolf replied to the jackalope. With a grimace, the jackalope nodded, placing his trust in Ryker. The two started walking towards the group as they saw the feline was a tiger with golden eyes. His size was almost as intimidating as his power.

"I'm glad we didn't have to hurt you first before asking. That always seems to be the case nowadays."

"So... Throwing me into a-" Desmond started in retort before being silenced again. He winced as he closed his eyes, feeling a bit of pain this time.

"If you didn't have such a valuable power, I'd kill you right here and now. You're lucky your... Partner... Is smart." The tiger said with a smirk as he looked to Ryker. "Now, if you'll come with us, we'll show you the rest of our... Family." At the word, he smiled, knowing it was more of a gang he formed out of their submissions. Reluctantly, Ryker carried Desmond along as the boy curled into the wolf's side. Regret was flowing through his blood as he pet Desmond's head, but he knew that the two of them against someone with a power level higher than their own would be more of a threat than those humans were earlier. The group walked further into the forest until coming upon a clearing.

"Chloe, if you would." The tiger spoke as a girl stepped in front of everyone, linking hands with everyone. She looked to Ryker and Desmond with a small frown.

"Hold hands, please." She spoke softly, sounding almost kind-hearted as she closed her eyes. Ryker took hold of the tigers paw and Desmond's as the jackalope took hold of a strange girls. She looked to him shyly, her blue eyes under her red hair making him blink a bit. Suddenly, the surrounding area changed and warped as they teleported. Desmond had heard of mutants with this power, but he had never seen it done, nor been teleported by it. It only took a few seconds before they were in the center of a camp, other fur mutants walking around before noticing the tiger. Upon seeing him, they knelt down, murmuring something. Desmond glared at everyone as they praised him, like he was some sort of god. It only angered the jackalope.

"Well. Welcome to your new home, boys. You're part of the fight now." He said, looking to Ryker, then Desmond before speaking. "Don't let me down."
