#6 of Last of the Lycans

Well here it is. Last of the Lycans 6.

This time edited by the awesome Aacid!!!! Go check out his page.

I'm sorry about having such a long space between uploads and going behind what I said about putting out a yiffy story first. But this just kinda wrote itself. I know pretty much know how it's going to end and it will be soon, I think.

For those who are just clicking to see, I would advise going back and reading the others before reading this one. But for those who don't want to (if I was browsing I wouldn't want to either) I'm including a STORY THUS FAR!!

Story Thus far-

Leith, a Lycan born to interracial parents of Human and Lycan. But they were killed by Humans and he was found by Luyet and taken as far from the Humans as possible. He grows up with a strange affinity for Humans that only Luyet can explain but he doesn't. He tries to run away to the nearest Human city of Tempest but is always stopped by Luyet who keeps telling him how dangerous the Humans are. But the time comes and Luyet dies and Leith gets his chance and runs off to go to Tempest. After meeting Luna in the forest he is able to see Humans up close and starts to get a strange attachment to her.

Luna, a Human girl who grew up in the Human capitol of Futurda and whose parents died is convicted for helping Lycans. She runs at the advice of her brother and escapes crossing a mountain range to Lycan territory known as the Ile foothills.

The two of them run into each other and Leith finds that Luna is fluent in his language, the two start to talk and Luna realizes that the Human government the Elif is controlling and wants to exterminate the Lycans for no reason other then control, she promises her help to Leith and the Lucans

Both of them head to the Lycan capitol Amita and talk to the Elder of the Lycans. Leith has a plan in his head on how to help the human and Lycan relationships.

That's the gist of it, but you're really going to want to read it to get all the details.

Hope you guys enjoy Last of the Lycans 6

It felt a little weird for Elest to be sitting in a military uniform now. Just a day ago he was jailed and being interrogated by Fuieln. Inside he felt a bit torn, between both Luna and his new obligation to the Elif. But I am doing this for Luna, he thought to himself. Since he had learned about her capture, every time he thought of her this image of her being brutally attacked formed in his mind. He felt that it was now his duty to help the Elif and they would help him. He'd scratch their back and they'd scratch his. They finally shed some light on what they wanted him to do, literally build an army willing to take the fight to the Lycans. He personally had no idea what Fuieln had mentioned by building an army but he suspected that it had to do with bringing the fight to the Lycans. Around him was the Elif council, called for an emergency meeting where Fuieln currently addressed the council conviction.

"We now have the opportunity to strike at the heart of these things!"

The representative from Truld nodded his head, agreeing with everything the leader was saying. Elest still felt out of place but Fuieln spoke highly of him.

"We have our thanks to give to the brother of Luna who has agreed to help us." All their eyes landed on him and he began to feel the pressure grow within him, this was for real.

"Um....s...sir? If I...I...I may ask?" Elest could hardly speak due to his nerves.

"Yes?"

"What do you mean by building an army?"

Fuieln chuckled and sat back in his chair. "We need someone so rally the people, get them ready for our assault."

"So everybody's going to serve?" Elest asked still wondering why they had chosen him.

"No, not everybody. But we need a large enough army to assault the Lycan town of Tve. It won't be an easy task but I believe that we can do it."

Elest nodded, it was all he could do while the leader continued. "We will launch our offensive from Tempest, getting all of our gear and weapons from the forges. We will then march upon them over the Ile foothills and attack systematically, taking down all of them in one fell swoop."

The plan drew applause from the surrounding men. "Then, Humans will rule the Earth from now and forever. We are the divine rulers, the ones who are meant to be. We will prevail."

Elest felt like a small mouse under all the large men and their plans, he couldn't help but feel like a pawn in some master plan.

Leith drew in a breath as the elder listened.

"Well, diplomacy."

Both Luna and the Elder were extremely confused. They were expecting some long winded plan of attack against the Humans and one that would, hopefully, eradicate them from the face of the Earth.

"Meetings?" Luna questioned, tripping over her words. "Just meetings? What about all that stuff you were telling me about? Attacking them and beating them?"

Leith kept his calm composure and drew in another breath through his black nose. "That is what you said."

The elder licked his chops, briefly contemplating the plan before delivering his own objections "Diplomacy would not work. The Humans are smart creatures. They could walk all over you and any logic you give. These war mongers have to be beaten with what we know best, fighting."

Leith took a defensive stance. "The Humans, you are right, are beastly creatures who like to seek out war. But some actively are against it."

He excused himself for a second and came back into the dark room with his bag. "I have proof that some would."

The elder and Luna watched as Leith dug through his bag and took out the three bound books he had.

"I have these."

The elder watched with curiosity. He knew what they were but he had no idea what they would accomplish. Luna on the other hand cocked her head.

"Books? Why books?"

Leith took out the one that he didn't understand all that well still, the one about Human politics and the Elif.

"I still cannot read this one that well but, I know it condones war."

Luna took the bound object from Leith and flipped through a couple pages, skimming through some parts.

"Leith, where did you get this? All of these for that matter." She said glancing at the others.

"I wanted to study Humans. Lycans do not have any books so I had to resort to reading Human."

The large Lycan took the book back from her and flipped through a couple pages to a passage.

"Listen." He ordered, beginning to quote the book word for word.

"And thus the Elif were created to do good works and help prolong Human existence and superiority. But far have they fallen from this once noble task. Most of these politicians are corrupted with what power brings and the dynasties that they make ensure that it never leaves the interest of said person. So what is the stance of these people? To ensure that Humans exert the power that they hold. Myself, I have noticed that this is mainly done by use of force against not only enemies of the Human race but also to enemies of the Elif themselves. These acts of violence are wrong and unjustly carried out. But, if we can oust this system and introduce the system I have explained earlier, I think that we can change our face and even to a point to get along with other races. Such as the Lycans."

Leith finished his stumbling through the words and let them sink in. Obviously his hope was that these words would sway both of them.

After a long pause the Elder tapped his stick.

"I am not sure what you just tried to accomplish. But those words it seems to be are from one soul, not many. I do not think that one would change the outcome of any major talks."

He sighed, "I do not back this idea of diplomacy, what's more, I do not get why you came here first."

Leith bowed his head. "I was just hoping that you would agree with my plan and follow through by coming with me to represent our race."

The Elder paced back to the altar and tapped his stick again.

"We, our race, was created first. By the mighty God's Arita and Sumitar." He turned back to face the Lycan and Human. "We were first; the Humans are an afterthought created with the purpose of revenge. They are the embodiment of revenge." His voice held a tone of pride. "We are the master race and we will prove that!"

His old eyes moved to Luna and he drew close to the Human and scoffed in her face. "We will win."

He turned back to Leith. "Thank you young Half-breed."

"Why?"

His voice rang out as he called for the two others to come back in. They quickly showed up. "Send runners to all towns. Tell them so send their militia to Tve."

Leith cocked his head and finally The Elder turned to him.

"You have given me the opportunity and the idea. We are going to launch an attack against Tempest. We will take back our land."

Leith took a step back and his muzzle opened slightly. "W...war? That will not solve anything!"

The elder chuckled, his nose flaring as he drew in a breath."Once the Humans are gone everything will be said and done. We can once again roam the magnificent Earth provided to us."

Leith stepped up to the old Lycan and growled deeply at him. "Think about the God's! Eradicating an entire race for our own benefit, do you think they would approve?"

The two 'guards' forced Leith back away from their leader.

"Humans have been a stain on us ever since their conception. Crafted out of revenge and deceit. We will be doing Arita and Sumitar a favor. A glorious task." His paws lifted to the sky, one still holding on to his stick. His gaze shifted from Leith to Luna.

"Human! What do you think?"

Luna took a moment to think over all the things that have happened in the past couple of days. Her views, it seemed had shifted from one side to the other and then back again only to rest in the middle. She did see the horror that her own race was causing but she also didn't want them to be eradicated. She did think violence was necessary, especially after what they did to her.

"Um." She wanted to hide behind the brawn of Leith but he stood, still restrained by the two others.

"War, I think, is necessary." She thought that if she sided with him, he could maybe change it to driving the Humans Out. "I support your decision and I want to go and fight. But I don't think the full destruction of my race would be a good idea. Just drive them out of the territory, mark it as yours! Assert your dominance."The order to assemble had already been given, it was going to happen. But the elder turn his graying head slightly. "You are a smart female. We could use more like you."

Luna suddenly felt extremely uncomfortable.

"I concur." He said after drawing close to her. "Humans will not be destroyed! We will fight for our land." He turned to the altar and knelt before it. "Dearest Arita and Sumitar, protect us from the darkness. Give us divine intervention and grant us the victor. We, your servants, are to march to the battlefield."

Kalah had taken her new position as the leader of Kamit, her life had changed. Everyone now came to her to have her solve their problems. It was quite a tedious task, one that she felt she was not ready for. But the population felt she was. The female Lycan strolled through her town fondly remembering the times when she was with Leith. The wind around her stirred up and some leaves in the ground rustled. The quietness of the day was relaxing. It had really been the first time she had been alone in a long while. Her large paws swayed slightly by her side and her black nose took in a deep breath of the new air trying to take in the most of this rare moment. But the silence was soon broken by the sounds of pads walking in the dirt behind her. Her ear twitched and she turned her head to glance behind her.

"I am sorry to interrupt." The Lycan apologized. Kalah had never seen him before; he obviously did not belong to her town. Naturally, she had to be protective so a low growl emanated from deep inside her.

"What is your business?" Came the growling query before he moved up next to her and started walking beside her, matching her stride.

"I am from Amita." He said in a grand fashion.

"Amita? Why are you out here?" Her growling subsided.

"I am a messenger. I met with your gatekeeper and he said that the leader was taking a stroll."

"Yes, I was. But not anymore." Kalah grew slightly annoyed when she realized she lost her peace.

He walked along with her. "I did not know Kamit had a female leader when did this happen?"

"My father died; I took his place. What is your business?" She almost snarled her tone grew a bit more annoyed.

The messenger trailed for a bit, thinking about what she just said. Nobody knew about the death of Kamits leader.

"Hmm. Did he pass peacefully?"

Kalah nodded but still pushed him for his business in her town.

"May Sumitar and Arita grant him peace through the meadow." He bowed his head. "But, I bring news."

Kalah's ears twitched as he finally got to what she wanted.

"The Elder has called for a Militia from every Lycan town."

The female Lycan let her eyes drift away and stare through the woods. "A militia? Whatever for?"

"Well" He said looking down at his pads as he walked. "The Elder has declared a war on the Humans. We are going to take back our land to the west!"

The second the messenger said that, Kalah stopped her stride and her mind raced back to Leith. Was he in on this? Did he have a say in what was to happen? Did he know about it?

"W...when did he come to this decision?" She asked in hopes to shed some light on Leith.

"I do not know. I am just a messenger. But, gather all able Lycans and converge on the town of Tve. We will march together."

The messenger then left without so much as another word. Kalah stood there and watched him leave the meadow they were standing in. She took in another deep breath.

"There is going to be a rainstorm." She said under her breath and turned back to Kamit to gather her Militia.
