Flare felt helpless, curled up in a defensive position on the planet. The Erebus had left mere seconds ago. The draconids circled the planet, Looking for anyone left behind. She could only hope the cloak would protect them. The team sat in silence. Emotions were severe. Hopelessness. Loss. Anger. There wasn't much hope among them now. Flare had to keep it together. She motioned to the team quickly, getting up and treading over the rocky terrain quietly and without using any will. All their focus was in their cloaks. The team followed her quietly, but there was unrest. Ar'uya, one of the scientists, was thinking of just running for it. Running where? She scolded him silently over their mind link. Others thought of surrender. She gave them such a violent telepathic response, a couple of them stumbled. There would be none of that while she was alive. The draconids were leaving orbit. They were headed back to their home world. They had to keep the cloak up longer, to make sure it wasn't a bluff. For hours they walked north, over the slimy, rocky terrain. The company was silent, all assuming they were doomed to die here on this planet. Flare held out hope that they would see the Erebus again.

Four days laterFlare took a handful of the algae that had been growing so plentifully in the oceans. The team had managed to set up a small primitive distillery for pure water, but there was no food here. That's where the algae came in.She picked a handful of it up, scooping it into her suit. She had stripped and was using her polymorphic suit as a bag for food. She filled it up, sighing and lugging it back to their camp. It wasn't far back. Just about 10 meters. They hid in some rocks not far from the sea. They had to hide close to the ocean for water. The science team had come up with some brilliant contraptions in their first days. They had studied and found a compound in the sandstone that was highly flammable when mixed with a few other components, most noticeably salt from the ocean. There was plenty of that.Aa'zac threw a handful of the powder on the flames as the others began making more powder. It got cold here at night. Flare sat next to him, sighing and bumping against him, not on accident. They had been getting a little more...acquainted over the last 4 days. The first night here wasn't so good. There were arguments all over the place, a couple fights that had left rocks half their previous size. Flare had to kick some asses that night. It had been terrible sleep. Not to mention cold. Several had gotten hypothermia, which only added to the stress.

The second day was much better than the first. They had gotten hungry, and had no food. It was Flares idea to eat the algae, though it was pretty nasty. It kept them alive. After analyzing it, finding no poisons, they had started eating it with ravenous appetites. They needed

water too. The salty water was no good. Aa'zac had come up with the idea to distill the water. They set that in motion, using their willpower to boil the water.Third day, things improved. They found some iron veins not far away and tore some loose, forming a crude pot that oxidized a little too easily, but it worked. They discovered the flash powder that enabled them to burn fires through the night, keeping warm. They were on the fourth day now. They had no idea where the Erebus was. What it was doing, or if it was even still existing. Flare sighed and tapped Aa'zac's back, getting up and heading into the rocks a short distance away. Aa'zac followed, as soon as they were out of sight, he stopped, turned her around and kissed her on the lips, holding her close to him. She returned the kiss, closing her eyes and letting herself fall into his arms. This was out of character for her. Maintaining the tough girl image was hard. And she needed her rest from that. Ironically, it was a scientist that understood her. He sad on one of the rocks, pulling her down next to him. They didn't speak, only held each other close, looking at the darkening sky. It was twilight. That time between total darkness and the sun still up. It made for some amazing views out here. The sky was so alien. So beautiful.

Flare produced her suit, the polymorph wrapping around both of them like a blanket. Flare pressed against him, her female body conforming to his male form. She could feel him trying to fight the good sensations sent through his nerves, but to no avail. Flare had not had much time for sexual adventures. She had always been so busy with life back home. But now, she was out here all alone. With no one but her team. They had all the time in the world. She kissed his neck, their minds connecting and finding what spots and touches pleased the other. Aa'zac rubbed her back, caressing her tail as she rubbed his belly and chest. They were both aroused in the sensual, sexual moment. It was only a matter of time before they started having sex. The stress. The heat of the day. The cold of the night. It was too much for them to take without relieving the stress. Flare gritted her teeth as they began the act, holding each other close against the frigid night. It was cold and lonely here. They had to wait for help to come to them, or they would die here.
