Chapter 64 (Time Paradox): Awkward Realization in The Future

The situations at tense and Al will give the final answer to the clockmaker.

"What do you guys think, shall we go detour for a bit at this moment?" Al asked around the room.

Black feeling a bit of a challenge nodded at him. Ken gave a doubt at him. And Andromon calculate the possibilities, but he nodded.

"Then it settled. Call in a meeting; we got to introduce him to everyone." Al announced. Black and Kazu walked out to call everyone in the mansion to assemble in the meeting room.

Everyone assembled at the meeting room, wondering what's with the sudden meeting. After Al makes sure that everyone is inside the meeting room, he instructed the clockmaker to remain outside of the room until he was called in. Al came in and the whispers went dead pairs of eyes look at him intently.

Feeling the tense, Al cleared his throat. "Sorry guys for the sudden meeting this morning. We just receive a weird request from a total stranger." Al greeted everyone. "And this stranger claims from the future to seek help."

Everyone starts to whispers about the weird request especially when the request came from the future because it is never happen before. "Umm... What is future?" Calumon asked as the Digimons never heard of it.

"Future is things, event and time that have not happen yet." Derek explained to Calumon.

"And it is usually unpredictable." Zane added.

"However it is very unbelievable because it is not scientific. It is beyond imagination." Izzy added.

"And yet it happened." Al responded. "And there is a living proof of it." He looked at the door. "You can come in and introduce yourself." He called loudly so the clockmaker heard it.

The door to the meeting room open and there stood an old man with magenta glass, magenta shirt doubled with jean jacket; green jean short and a cap less cap. He walked in with a cane for his support. Everyone looked at him with curious and suspicious. As the old man finally reaches Al, he turned around and looked at everyone in the room. The old clockmaker didn't seem surprise to see everyone in the room.

"Greeting, heroes of the past, I am called clockmaker and I've come from the future to seek help." He introduced himself.

"Why do you seek help?" Al asked.

"There is an enemy that is strong beyond imaginable. It can spawn Digimons at its will and as big as a walking fortress. However, this enemy is not alone for they are only small part of greater enemy and it must be dealt as quickly as possible."

"Why us?" Tai asked. "Don't you have tamers in your time?"

"We do." He replied. "But in my time, the tamers are called hunters and the Digimons are called hunted. And again as I said, the enemy is strong beyond imaginable and I doubt the hunters are able to defeat them. That is why I need your help. All of you are far more experience than them."

"We would like to help." Kari replied. "However we have matters here as well."

"So I've heard." The clockmaker nodded. "However, I'm willing to compensate your "time" as what I've discuss with Alphonse." The clockmaker gave a quote at the word 'time'.

"And that will be?" asked Renamon.

"The location of his whereabouts and a little special bonus, IF you are willing to come." The clockmaker replied. Al gave a surprise look for he never mention about the special bonus. Again the stakes grow higher. "So what's it going to be?"

One by one, the Destinies set his/her eyes to Al. All of them anticipate his decision while his mother and sister look at him in worries. Al looked at them for a moment and asked them. "Is this what you all want?" They gave no response as if their decision is solid. "*sigh* Well you know the answer." He answered the clockmaker.

The clockmaker only smiled at him for "In that case, we shall depart soon. Would you please form in two lines?"

Everyone start to stand up and form two lines, Digimons on the right and Human tamer on the left. Actually most of them, Kazu, Kenta, Suzie, Calumon, Andromon, MarineAngemon, Coronamon, Lopmon and Juri stayed behind with Sarah and Vilvet. The clockmaker took out the Digivice and pointed at the wall. "DigiQuartz open." He called out and a portal to unknown future opened.

Pair by pair they starts to enters the portal. Al and Amelia bade their farewell to Sarah. "I'm going, mom."

Sarah felt uneasy when she saw his son leave on another mission. "Must you go as well?"

"I have to because it is my responsibility." He answered.

Sarah gave a sigh and smiled at him. "Please be safe, okay." She looked at Amelia. "Please look after my only boy, Amelia."

"I promise." Amelia nodded.

Al looked at Vilvet, starting to tears also. Al gave a smile and patted her head. "You keep an eye on mom, okay Vilvet?"

"Okay" She sobbed. "Be safe."

All of the Destinies are already left except Al and Amelia and the clockmaker is waiting for them. They stood at the portal for a second and then looked at each other and nod. They brace themselves as they entered the portal. Because it is too bright, they have to close their eyes. The distance wasn't long because after they passed the portal, they felt heat in the air. They opened their eyes to see different scenery. The area is definitely a forest but the coloration is different because they were dark red instead dark brown. There are also had sparks of data either floating in the sky or hanging around the tree.

"Hey, old man." Al heard a strange voice, completely unfamiliar to him. He looked at the source and to his surprise; he saw unfamiliar faces at the human while he recognize most of the Digimons. "You're late." The one whosaid was a high schooler with slightly long brown hair that tied at the back of his head, wearing red and white vest and baggy green jeans. At his side stood an Agumon and by the size of it, it is twice than his size and wore red armband.

"Sorry for the delay." The clockmaker replied. "I need a little persuasion to convince them to come."

"Well you should be, because the Digimon has been defeated." The brown hair responded. Al can sense an insolent child in him and completely dislike him.

"What?" The clockmaker looked confused but he remembered several ace hunters. "Oh dear, I am terribly sorry to make all of you come here for nothing, for now. However, this is... was a small urgent task in case I do need help to handle it. There are more matters that will mostly need your aid. In the mean time, I will give you a simple tour about this time."

"This place is called Quartz zone, a zone which Digimons live in the human world. What you see around you is a forest identical to the human world. In fact these are the representative to the human world." The clockmaker explained.

"What do you mean?" Jake asked.

"It means that what happens here will affect the human world." He said.

"Why does it sound so familiar to me?" Al asked while thinking about the explanation.

"Anyway, here you can see new Digimons that you haven't seen before and while you add it, you can spend here like a vacation."

"I highly doubt that." Al sighed. He looked at others. He recognizes Jake, Zane and Derek in his Digimon form and other Digimons but he didn't recognize the humans. "And who are they?" Al asked.

The humans looked at him in hurt. "Wha... don't you recognize us?" The red brown boy with red flame motive blue jacket called.

"Um... not really?" Al answered in confuse.

"Relax Davis, he didn't recognize our younger form yet." Said the boy with dark purple hair and wore light grey uniform.

"Huh...?" Davis? looked confuse at the boy. Then he remembers it. "Ah you're right. How can I forget about that?"

"Wha...?" Al responded after hearing the name Davis. "Did you just call him Davis?" Al asked while pointing his claw at the other boy. The dark purple haired boy nodded at him. He looked at the boy who claims to be Davis and try to remember the similar characteristic with the older version. Now that he thinks about it, the hair looks similar except the facial hair and his juvenile attitude.

He snapped back into reality and looked at him. "Davis?" He asked and Davis nodded. Al looked at the other boy and he saw the similarities with Ken. "Ken?" He asked while pointing at the boy and he nodded. He looked around and finally starts to see the similarities in all of the children. "Every...one?" They all nodded and some of them are blushing for their appearances were different than their adult form.

"Oh right... I forgot to mention something." The clockmaker responded. "When they passed through the portal, they will be reverted to their prime form. In this case, their children form."

"WWHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT...........?!!!!! *" Al screamed till his lungs out and make the island vibrates , birds flew away, and those who near him covered their ears when hearing the shrieking banshee.

Note: In the Anime, Al will yell: "EEEEEEEHHHHHHH........?!!!!!"
