#1 of Meet the Studs

So, bit of a musclefur fan. Less obvious from my writing style and gallery than you'd think, but just glance at mah faves. The evidence is there. All things meaty, manly(and sometimes femmy), and powerful, when portrayed with style and talent, is A+ in my book. So much so that I've been developing a rather exhaustively involved and in-depth series, nearly a decade in the making, involving the subject...well, perhaps not involving, but rather featuring it, to the point that with barest exception...

all the furs are huge. Like, nearly all of em. Indulges my author appeal and leaves open tons of possibilities for far more varied personalities than "vain, dominant gymrat" and themes to explore therein.

So of course, I've had to wrack my tiny brain creating characters for this self-indulgent little project, and suffice to say, I've been busy. You don't even know the breadth of character and species I've been developing and mining so far. Like, guess. You won't get it, but guess. Ya don't...just, dude, stop. You don't even know. You're embarassing yourself. You don't know. YA DUNT KNOW

Enjoy. Love it, Hate it, let me know.

Yoshi Kazu

Species: Shiba Inu Dog

Age: 22

Height: 5' 7"

Weight: 529lbs.

Appearance: Yoshi bears all the natural qualities of his distinctive and distingished breed, give a few rustic, worn touches: fur beige as spiced bread, rough, dirty red in patches and shaved down in others; sharp "dorito" ears that twitch with the wind, the left one notched(don't ask for details, you'll only get faraway glances and mumbles) ; beady, inquisitive blue eyes with a certain anxious haze to 'em, like his mind's movin' a miles that his naturally puppyish face won't show; and lusciously fluffy, curly, rust-flecked tail that beckons the eye to his lovely rear. Most curious thing about him is his emberassing lack of eyebrows; the skin appears singed and furless, as if they were fried right off. Good luck gettin' the story on that one.

Or, for that matter, the aforementioned hole in the tip of his left ear, the gaps where a few canine chompers should be, the big, black comma-like shapes tattooed on both fluffy pecs, themselves bearing a slight heft characteristic of off-season lifter-types, like a couple of big, mournful panda eyes, the peculiar way the fur on his crown never seems to grow or how his tail never wags.

Yoshi's taste in dress csuggests a certain flair for ethnic flavors while still simple and modest; a velvety green, buttoned jacket with a slight collar or sometimes just a loud, hot pink button-up shirt with wavy white patterns, some busted seams around the arms and the tag torn off, dog tags hung around his thick neck, long, black pants with "Sparefish", the name of his favorite bluegrass band, printed in bold white font down the left leg and a worn-out pair of graying-red high tops.

Personality: Shy, Sweet, Anxious, Stunted. Yoshi's a quiet, reserved guy who's almost painfully bashful around others. He's got no shame of his body, though he's not of the mind to show off. He just doesn't really know how to deal with other people, often stammering and avoiding eye contact during conversation, skulking off by himself when no one's paying attention, blushing madly, when approached or complimented. Those who find his shyness cute only flummox him all the more. He also responds poorly to stress at first and is prone to crippling panic attacks. Despite his years of military training and impressive skill in battle, he skulks away from confrontation where possible. He honestly does try to be affable and pleasant, help out with chores, put his bod to good use, play devil's advocate when he summons up the gumption to speak, but he has a consuming self-conciousness about him, deep, deep down, that dogs him with every sentence, glance, or twitch.

What makes his behavior peculiar are the little things when noone's lookin. The impassioned, almost pained headbanging when he's tucked away somewhere and got a pair of earbuds plugged in. The scarcest hint of a snarl in the way his nose scrunches up at certain comments, or the momentary clench of a fist that petrifies the massive cords of muscle in his forearm and biceps. The squeak of a halted rebuttle, his smooth vibrato tambre dripping like honey before he glances sidelong, shrinks down and resumes his invisibility. All hints of a bolder, louder ego constantly harranging itself and beating itself down, as if out of neccesity.

Just about the only person he can soothe himself around, is squadmate and best friend, Baitang Sumerigawa, and the two are virtually inseparable. The panda is like a big brother to him, bringing him back down gently when his anxiety flares up. Yoshi follows Baitang's lead no matter the situation and will fight with his life to protect him and watch his back. Like Bai, on the battlefield, Yoshi displays a strong sense of justice and responsibility and will take to the task ahead of him with determination, perseverance and thoughtful versality in tactics. Once he gets his nerves under control, that is.

Abilities: As a soldier, Yoshi's proficient with many styles of melee and armed combat, but his personal choice of firearm is "Champagne", an enormous minigun capable of tearing through enemy squadrons with seven-hundred shots a minute. It's massive and heavy, limiting Yoshi's mobility by a wide margin, but his overwhelming strength allows him to wield it with surprising agility. The weapon itself is actually a combined cluster of multiple minigun barrels affixed to a massize harness typically tethered to his back; one for both arms, and two more fixed slightly higher that can pivot up, down or to the side, making the shiba inu a lumbering juggernaut of superior firepower. The barrels themselves can even be detached to be wielded one at a time, or laid in place like portable turrets, sensing and raining hell on any unrecognized targets that cross its field of vision.
