Hello and salutations for now.. Third chapter. Not many views on the last one, or the one before. But can't/won't leave until this story is finished, damn anyone who says otherwise. Thank you.

Again, many of you know me, many of you do not. It doesn't really matter much anymore. Moved to Writing.com for a while, but had a snowball's chance in Hell in a virtual sense. Probably won't have one here.

Chapter 3

It felt as if I was in a dream. This dragoness before me was very beautiful, and very familiar, but her appearance was hard to make me think of that feeling. Rust red colored scales, curves around her midsection and a reasonable amount of muscle bulging around her arms. She smiled at me as if there was no tommorow. Her most noteworthy thing that attracted my case was a necklace with a black wolf dangling was what brought me back to Earth. Her name, it sounded both familiar and heavenly, like the rare jewel: Garnet. "Thank you for helping me." Garnet bowed slightly and politely with a smile. I nodded dumbly, with a sudden desire to say something--scratch that, ANYTHING. To be able to get to know her. "Are..you alright?" The dragoness nodded and picked up some school books and a slightly black toned purse proportionate to her size. Which appeared to be a stunning 30' in length, and 25 feet width.

"U-um.. Guess I'll be going now." She went around me, but looked back at me nervously. "Would you..walk me home? Its around here." Garnet seemed so shaken, and the paw holding the books was shaking visibly. The look in her eye was showing fear and so many things that was hard to identify. I nodded and ran up, following her tight, muscled feminine figure to the 'home' she described. It was a little cottage, seemed nice and peaceful from a distance. An elderly man was sweeping the brown leaves into the grass to clear the walkway.

"Father!" Garnet smiled, and there was a dreadful pang in my chest for what reason I couldn't fathom. The elderly man smiled back at his 'daughter' and his glance came back betweem us; eyeing me up and down (or rather, my bandolier) with a keen eye that had probably seen much over the years. "Garnet." He said quietly. "Were you followed again?" The dragoness hung her head shamefully and muttered something unintelligible, but there was a 'Helped me.' that was audible. "Young man--"

"Dragonizu, sir."

"..Thats a quite long name, boy. I'll shorten it. Izu, did you help out my daughter? Was she attacked again? She has a kind heart, but not a will to fight or use magic."

"My name isn't... Nevermind. Yes. Yes. Sir, that doesn't seem very.."

"Practical, yes I know." Garnet was still muttering under her breath, but her father continued to look me in the eye with gusto. "I appreciate you helping her, young man. For better or worse, your always welcome at our home."

"Thank you." I lowered my head out of respect. "Please, allow us to give you what hospitality we can." Garnet and her father didn't give me a choice, they nudged and brought me by the arm into the house. The inside was peaceful: Tea was brewing in a pot on the stove, which by the smell of it was probably one of those Gas and Electricity: Sue us if you can! knock offs. There was a huge addon to accomodate Garnet, which was a floor or two largely build rooms. She went upstairs and her father nudged me with a wink.

It wasn't that I didn't like Garnet, but she was very beautiful in her own way. Didn't like the way her father was pushing me to talk to the girl. But never the less, I complied and followed her silently up the stairs. She set her books down on a small desk and removed her school wear, before slipping on a loose blouse and scale colored shorts. My hand raised and knocked on the door, making her yelp with surprise and turn around. "Oh, its you.."

"Hey." I nodded silently with a smile. It was an awkward silence for about a minute or two.

"Thank you again for helping me." Garnet put her paw over her chest and smiled.

"Why were they chasing you?"

"My lineage, I suppose. A daughter of an enemy, long thought dead."

"Long..thought dead?"

"Indeed, the man you saw down there is not my real father. Whats sad is, I can't remember his face, or name... My mother, oh I remember her. When those two were together they made us so happy and free. But they're gone now, with my brothers and sisters." she gestured to a picture of a wolf-ish creature, a human with orange hair, and a young red dragoness.

"My uncle couldn't take care of me, so he was gracious enough to leave me in caring hands. Scarred and bloodied from raising me, but caring." Garnet smiled.

"So, you miss all of them?" Garnet nodded. "Laughing together, playing together, and being able to share in such experiences." I felt for her in that department; set in a place with no memory, no name, and no way to know how to get those back. It was an awful thing. It was apparantly time to change the subject. "Your um.. Wing. Are you an Avian?" I blinked at Garnet. Never had thought about it, but stretching my appendage out, it wasn't easy to see if I was. But there was a thought worth keeping.

The sun was setting, pouring out a light of tranquility. Garnet and I had talked quite a bit about things we've seen, with an occasional chuckle or giggle. Her father, apparantly a priest at a local cathedral called us down and served some oddly colored fish, the graying color was odd to me. "So, Izu. Are you enjoying your stay in town?" I nodded, and replied curtly "Yes, alot of people are interesting to meet with."

Garnet smiled at me from one end of the table, which strangely was octagonal. "Ah. I take it your not from around here? Your accent is..noticeable."

Accent? A ragged, slightly deep tone was an accent? Was best not to comment on that one. "No, I'm not." The elderly priest looked at my face closely, but didn't say anything else. "Well, its getting late. We can set up your bed on the floor.." There was a loud shuffling and Garnet took both our plates, with an expression that she wasn't having it. "He can sleep with me in my bed." Her father looked baffled, but understanding. "All right. You'll be with Garnet tonight until we can find another place for you."

I sunk in the chair, embarrassed a little bit with red hair covering my bangs. Garnet led me upstairs and set me on the long, elegonated bed. She scoot on one side of the bed and removed her informal wear and put on a nightgown, which complimented her scales. A light blue dress-like thing with partially see through legs before laying down. The dragoness looked at me with loving eyes and whispered a goodnight to me.

It was going to be an odd night...
