Poem #62: Colors Deep
#63 of Poetry
This is a poem about life and feelings; but most of all, this is a poem about fighting against the struggles in life; this is a poem about overcoming the biggest challenge; this is about finding your purpose and running straight at it guns blazing and voice raw from cheering and screaming. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have enjoyed making it.
Colors Deep
Living breathing
Pale seeing
Let the wings unite
Feel the heartbeat rise
The wandering soul has fallen
Into the well of time
I see the colors
Swarming me
Pricking poking
Absorbing me
Taken by the way-side
Take me for a drive
Down the open road
Of sorrow and of joy
Listen for the blissfulness
Wistfullness and glee
Let the black tar carpets roll
Underneath my feet of lead
And acid rains of fire
Rain down on my cloudy head
I feel the black ink flow through my veins
Understand the music lies in me
Softly wriggling writhing deep
Letting all the notes sleep
Dreaming of the twinkling chimes
So synchronize
All the lights inside
This wave of motion drowns on me
Suffocating joyful pleas
I suffer in my reverie
Awaken all the sensual glee
Inside my mind dark fire burns
Smoke and incense burn and dance
From the darkest memories
And the brightest blurs
Are the instances I will learn
Syncopating a kind of trance
Against the withered heights you'll see
All the fading muffled trading
Wading in the red truth tide
The life and love I will survive.
