"Come on Haseem, your only hurting your self and everyone of your fellow terrorists when you keep secrets from us." A linoone wearing a tucked in collared shirt said as he undid his tie to a loose knot. "And trust me I'm not going to leave here today until you tell me what I need to know." He said calmly as he sat down off camera. The camera angle was fixed on a young weavile named Haseem, Balanda, a low level foot soldier working for Aziz Abadi.

"I told you I don't know anything" Haseem said in a thick middle eastern accent. "I work for commander Aziz, but I've never entered the compound or spoken directly with him. I swear." He stated looking to the side of the camera where the Linoone sat.

"Bull shit Haseem!" A voice said off camera. An open vanilla case folder. filled with photos, slid across the table from the right as a houndoom, the one who threw it, got up from his chair and walked to Haseem's side. "We have photo documentation of you not only exiting and entering the compound but we have you talking to, and even eating with Aziz." The houndoom said pointing to the pictures on the table. "You know it's ass holes like you that make the world the piece of shit that it is."

"If it wasn't for America ass holes like me wouldn't have to exist. Where I come from, people don't think of us as ass holes, we're called hero's liberating the world of the western hypocrisy." Haseem said as he slammed his fist on the table and swatting off the folder and pictures. "You American's sit at home, watching American Idol, Dancing with the stars, and all that other shit that makes a joke of voting; all while sitting on your fat ass' eating doughnuts."

The houndoom grabbed the long, greasy, shaggy hair of Haseem and pulled his head back; getting in the weavile's face he yelled, "Fuck you doughnuts are awesome!"

"They are delicious." The linoone chimed in off Camera.

Having watched the recorded footage of Haseem's interrogation unfold, Shade and Jayden burst into laughter at the terrorist's last comment. "Is this really why these people are trying to kill us? Because we love deep fried dough?"Shade jokingly laughed as he pressed the pause button on the video.

"Or maybe it's because we watch celebrities walk down the red carpet, wearing fifty thousand dollar clothes just for the opening of a Denny's" Jayden joked along.

Hearing the laughing coming from the barracks, and knowing who the two laughing were, Spark entered with Tech close behind. "Oh good, it looks like you two aren't doing anything right now." He said stopping at the table the two young soldiers were siting at, "Zero and I have some preparations to take care of before we deploy. In that time I need you to teach Tech here how to shoot a gun, mainly the Hk MP5 SMG and the Berretta 92Fs side arm. We deploy soon, teach him fast." Spark said, already half way out of the room.

Shade stood from the small table both had been sitting at. "Alright Tech, I only have one question you, have you ever fired a weapon before?"

"No, I've been a book worm all me life. But I guess the closest thing I've ever come to firing something was a slingshot when I was a lad back in Ireland." He said with a nervous chuckle. "you don't really have to teach me how to shoot lads" He was stopped when both Jayden and Shade began to lead him out of the barracks.

"I'll take this one out to the range, Shade, you grab the guns." Shade gave a nod and walked off back to the armory. "Don't worry Tech, you're going to be fine. We're only teaching you how to use these weapons so you can defend yourself incase you get cornered or something."

"That's all well and good, but I'm way too deep in religion, I don't think I can kill another living thing." He said as he was brought into the indoor firing range.

"Listen I know it's going to be hard to pull the trigger against another living soul. I know because the first time I did I froze up, I dropped my gun out of my hand at the sight of what I had just done." Jayden said as he handed tech a pair of combat gloves.

"I froze too," Shade said entering the room, "My first kill, I threw up at what I had done." He set the weapons he had grabbed from the armory on the small table off to the side. "And it's different for a sniper, most soldiers don't even see their kill from time to time. They fire a thirty round clip in under eight seconds and pray one of those forty hit an enemy target." Shade said as he and Jayden equipped the weapons with suppressors. "Not a sniper, we have five, sometimes ten rounds, and before I put one in an enemy, I have to see them, the panic in their eyes." Both started to load up some magazines with ammunition for tech to practice with.

"I, like commander Zero, am an assassin who specializes in close range kills and combat. Some assassins choose the sniper alternative, only having to take a small glimpse of their target, one shot, one kill, and if their good enough, and easy escape. But when you get up close and personal with your target, when you want to look into his soulless, evil eyes and either slit his throat, or take him out execution style then you're talking about going threw and killing about ten or fifteen heavily armed guys, and that's if your lucky."

Jayden slapped a thirteen round clip of ammo into the pistol and racked the slide, clicked on the safety. Holding the pistol by the suppressor he handed the loaded gun to Tech; grip out to him. "Understand that what you're about to hold can kill if handled incorrectly." Tech nodded and took the pistol into his hand, Jayden released his grip on the other end. "Now," Jayden said pointing down the firing range, "aim down range and when you have you sights centered on the target flip off the safety," He tapped the safety with his finger to indicate what Brian had to do, "call out 'Gun is hot' and fire at the target until the gun is empty."

Tech gave a reluctant nod, centered the sights of the weapon on the target down range and flipped off the safety, "Gun is hot!" He shouted before pulling on the trigger. The recoil was nothing to him, a few jerks here and there, but nothing really to deter him from continuing. Brian continued to fire at the paper target down range until the gun was empty and the slide clicked racked back, indicating the gun was empty. Jayden came over and showed him how to release the clip slide and engage the safety once more.

"Alright Tech that was good for your first time." He pressed a button on the side wall to bring the paper target forward. "Well I guess I spoke a little too soon." He said as he paper target was brought closer. Taking ot off the clip and placing it holding the paper to the light it showed only one whole was made and it was off to the far right of the target. "Well thirteen shots and only one was made again, good for a beginner of your skills." Jayden reloaded the weapon and showed him a couple of different stances to stand in. After about a half hour Brian had found a propper stance that he was comfortable in.

"Alright onto the SMG." Shade said as he picked up the HK MP5A2. "This is the MP5A2, fixed stock, light weight and very easy for a new guy to handle." He charged the bolt back and slapped in a thirty round clip of ammo and slapped the bolt forward and engaged the safety. After showing Brian how and where to place the stock on his shoulder and how to re-engage the safety and release the magazine, Brian fired down range. The first few times weren't too smooth but after a few corrections from his instructors, Brian was firing both weapons with ease, and even getting some well placed grouping on the targets.

After placing so many rounds down range the young umbreon was now in a slight adrenaline high. His hands were slightly shaking and his pulse was threw the roof. "This is amazing, is this what those jocks felt like when they were bullying me in high school felt like?" Jayden and Shade couldn't help but burst into laughter at the question. "I can't wait to see what really combat is like." Brian set down the MP5 and joined in on his comrades laughter.

Zero and Spark had been watching his younger comrades instruct their new brother from behind a large one way window, the front had been painted over with a special paint that still allowed clear vision on one side, while concealing the window on the other. Something that was now being used on city busses, or so Zero remembered.

"So do you think he's ready Zero?" Spark asked as he folded his arms across his chest. Both had also heard the conversation between the soldiers. "I mean do you really think he's ready for real combat?" He asked looking over to Zero.

His gaze never averted from the window as he brought out a cigar and lit it up. He took a large drag of the cigar and exhaled out the smoke. "were you ready, were any of us ready?" He asked taking another drag. "I belive this kid is ready to defend himself, and I belive it will kill him if he has to kill someone."

"What was it like for you when it came time for your first kill Spark?" Zero asked remembering the conversation the others had earlier; handing his friend a cigar.

"My first time?" He asked accepting the cigar. "I remember it like it was yesterday." He said lighting up and taking a few puffs. "I was in southern Germany, and I was ordered to take out some guy who was the leader of a neo-Nazi group who was starting to become a little too powerful. I had him cornered in his office, and I froze.

"Were you able to complete your mission?"

"Yes I was, but after I got back to the base, I was a complete mess, I wasn't able to think straight, I was throwing up and the image of his bloodied body haunted me for days." He took another drag of his cigar. "To this day his face still haunts me." He looked over to Zero as he exhaled, "and what about you?"

Zero took yet another drag of his cigar and exhaled deeply. "I had to kill a child." The Cigar dropped out of sparks fingers. "It was my fist mission, and my handlers thought I could take on a high profile case."

Spark picked up his cigar and put it out in an ash tray as he looked to Zero again. He took a moment to think back to when Zero started, or at least the time it was said he started in this field. "There is only one child of a powerful person that was assassinated that long ago."

"The youngest son of the late Dictator of Malancha." He said before taking the last drag of his cigar. "The dictator was on the verge of dieing from colon cancer, and though his son was young, he was scheduled to assume power over the country at the time of his fathers death."

"I'm sorry sir, I'm having a bit of trouble with the logic of that mission."

He gave a small huff and looked to Spark, "you know, that's what I said when I took....well had no option in taking the job. The simple fact of it was, if the son dies before his father, and the Dictator falls to his illness than we could move in with a team and make a hostile take over of the country." He gave a heavy sigh. "I still see that child's eyes threw the cross hairs, the mother weeping over her babies lifeless corpse." He brought out this time a regular cigarette and lit it up "do you know the old saying, 'A life for a life'? " Spark nodded as Zero exhaled a large amount of lung damaging smoke. "I belive that is why my daughter was killed before was even given the chance to be born into this world, because I struck down a child."

"you know Zero you can think what you want, you can think the cosmos passed judgment on you by taking your unborn daughter, or you can belive that it was a tragic accident caused by some drunk driver, in either case Zero, you can't blame yourself for what happened, I know killing that child was the hardest part of your life, but now it's in the past. We need to move forward."

Zero nodded as he clenched his fist, even talking about what had happened on his first mission brought back emotions he had been able to burry so long ago. The killing of a child, the slaughter of his fellow operatives in Russia, all of it was starting to resurface along with a promise he had made to himself long ago. 'the protection of those I love, those I hold near, even total strangers, I'll protect them till my dying breath.'

"Thank you old friend." Zero said as he released the lit cigarette, and crushed it with the tip of his boot. "come on let's assemble the youngling's." He looked back to Spark, "Oh and don't tell my wife I was smoking again, she'd kill me in a heart beat."

Spark gave a small chuckle as he followed Zero out, "don't worry sir, your secrets safe with me."
