Chapter 5 is finally here. I'm sorry it took so long, but it was difficult trying to write about the surprises. This is from Kuroi's point of view .

An Ordinary Day

Chapter 5

Yaoists, Fear Them

I walk into an ultra-modern living room to see two snow cats sitting on the white sofa. They are both identical, with blue-grey eyes, sleek white fur, and platinum blonde headfur. The only difference is that one has her headfur cut to shoulder length and the other one has long headfur.

"Kuroi!" The long headfur one seems to know me, and her voice makes me remember their names, sort of.

"Kuroi! Do you remember us?" The one with short hair asks me.

"Vaguely, you're Kuuki, right?" I point at the one with long hair. "You're Tsuchi?" I point at the other cat.

"Wrong, you got us mixed up again, as usual! I'm Tsuchi," the one with long headfur points at herself, "and she's Kuuki."

"Well, he was close enough! Glomp attack!" I watch Kuuki take a few steps back and she runs, jumps, and hugs me all in the span of a few seconds. Being unprepared, I stumble back only to see Tsuchi repeat the process on the opposite side of me. Good thing they weigh about 190 pounds combined when wet.

"Ah, the twin's dreaded 'glomp attack'. I've heard it can be quite lethal." My ears perk up when I hear the sound of Hikari's voice.

"Hahah, very funny. Sarcasm always was your best form of humour."

"Yes, Kuroi, and slapstick seems to be your specialty!" Look's like Hikari knows how to give a good comeback too.

Kuuki releases me from her vice grip.

"Now, now you two. Play nice." Tsuchi lets go as well.

"Yes, ma'am." We respond in the same tone at the same time and we all start laughing.

"You two had no trouble finding the place I assume?" Hikari was worried they wouldn't find this place? Do they have a horrible sense of direction or something?

"No problem whatsoever. I had the wind tell us the right way to go."

"Wait, what? the wind told you the way?"

"Hikari, you never told him? We told you tell him!"

"What Tsuchi means is that we told Hikari to tell you we became ninjas. I became a master of air and wind jutsu, and Tsuchi mastered earth jutsu."

"Oh, well that helps, but aren't ninja supposed to be stealthy? You two are completely white, wouldn't that make you more noticeable?" I then notice that Tsuchi has vanished. "Where did Tsuchi go?" I feel arms hanging over my shoulders and look only to see nothing.

"Who cares if we're pure white if we can camouflage as easy as we breath?" Tsuchi's voice sounds as if it's coming from everywhere all at the same time. I feel the arms leave my shoulders and turn around. "We can throw our voices too." Tsuchi materializes in front of me. "So we can appear - to be in - a completely different - room" Her voice was thrown around the house; the first four words came from the kitchen, the next three came from the magic room, the three words after that came from the second floor, and the last word came from her.

"Wow, I hope I'm not on your hit list."

"You aren't, but you may be if you make a wrong step." Tsuchi's voice takes on a menacing air.

"We won't have to worry about that though. We've been friends with Hikari forever and he talks about you a lot, so we feel like we know you almost as well as we know him." Kuuki sounds so sweet, but Tsuchi can be really scary when she wants to. They may be twins, but they definitely aren't the same. "So, Hikari, how did it go?"

"Yeah, was he okay with it?"

I turn to face the twins. "How did what go? Who was okay with what?" I feel Hikari approach me from behind and wrap his arms around my chest. My hands automatically come up and hold his arms as I turn my hear and look at him. "Who are they talking about?" I give him a pouty look.

"He accepted it. So, are we going? We have to get my boyfriend some new clothes." The room is suddenly filled with the sound of fangirl cheering. "I probably should have warned you that they love yaoi and having an all male couple in front of them is making them fangirl."

"Great, we have our very own fan club."

"I like to call them 'yaoists' since Tsuchi almost treats it like a religion. I remember buying her a pin once that said 'Beware the yaoi girls for you are cute and go well with other men'. I thought it was funny, but now she tries to pair every guy she knows with another guy. Including me, but she can't do that anymore unless you are the other guy."

"You're sweet, but you spend too much on me."

"What ever are you talking about? I haven't spent a dime on you."

"Not yet, but you will be soon!"

"True, but you can't say I spend too much on you if I haven't gotten you anything yet."

"Touché"

"Come on you guys, enough talking! We gotta get going!"

"Yes, we should go so we can get back before dark."

"Okay, we're coming."

"Hikari, why do we need to get back before dark?"

"You wouldn't have needed to worry about it before, since I would put a spell to protect you in the food you ate, but this town is full of demons who are incredibly displeased with the twins and I for protecting other furs. They wouldn't come out during the day, but they would swarm us at night. They also want to get a hold of you for some reason, so, please, never leave my side when it gets dark out. I don't want you to leave my side at all, but I know that everyone needs their space."

"Don't worry, I'll study magic as much as I can and learn to protect myself, but until then I won't leave your side. Trust me, I won't be leaving you at all."

"Thanks, that puts my mind at ease. You know I love you, right?"

"Not as much as I love you!"

"Okay you two, enough with the sweet nothings. Let's get a move on!"

I feel a slight breeze push us from behind.

"Let us get going, before I have to turn that breeze into a gale."

Hikari and I step out into the afternoon sun. I glance down and see his hand by his side and reach out to it. I guess Hikari noticed my movement because he moved his hand to grasp mine before I could get his. This was quickly followed by some more fangirling. I have a feeling that this is going to be one of the best days of my life!
