The orderly was confused when he walked into the door. Lucas was laying on the bed his foot kicked up on a pillow, resting back reading a book. The large otter was humming to himself looking out the window rocking back and forth on his hind paws. The room was how it was but the sheets, blankets and covers had all mysteriously vanished leaving the patient in only his hospital gown. When asked the two plead the fifth stating simply that someone had taken them away. Not wanting to be found in a puddle of otter spunk Lucas devised a cunning plan of dumping everything in a nearby laundry bin. The chihuahua didn't even seem to notice or care as the otter tip toed back into the room after stashing the 'loot'. Lucas jumped in the shower the meantime putting on a new gown not before the otter paid him a visit... Carlson had shut the door behind him, making sure his tail didn't caught in the door one of the biggest inconvenience of having one. Lucas had to keep his cast out of the shower; having to do his best to balance on one foot trying to scrape out the dried jizz coating his chest. He had told the otter time and time again to clean up after himself and each time Lucas was stuck having to do it. Carlson had argued that it was his way of making him "feel at home." It was fine when they were home alone but when they dropped into a public stall or in an elevator...or in a hospital, it kind of put him in a predicament he didn't much for for being in. The otter slipped into the bathroom, again pulling his tail in before shutting the door. Every fur with a tail learned at a young age to be mindful of it. It really was another appendage that had to be watched out for. Carlson dipped his head his ears splaying a bit embarrassed as he snuck a peek in on him. Lucas was still picking at his belly making the otter flush a bit brighter. "Carlson," Lucas began making the otter jumped as if he caught him with his paw in the cookie jar. "Next time I'm jzzing on your chest." There was a small silence that followed, only the sound of running water could be heard as the otter just smirk to himself at the picture forming in his mind. "On second thought," Lucas correct pulling the curtain back a bit looking at the otter. "You'd enjoy that." "I'm always into cum shots," Carlson reasoned with a shrug. "I don't think that's what they meant." Lucas laughed letting go of the curtain not even bothering to close it. Carlson leaned against the wall looking inside with a smirk. He fixated on his rump licking his chops. "The doctor said I could be out of here by the end of the day. They just got to finish some papers." Lucas went on peeling another piece off his belly. Carlson began unbuttoning his t-shirt. "You sure that's ok, love? You don't want to leave before you should." "I just got a busted ankle really. Some bed rest and I'll be fine anyways." Lucas said having to hold onto the bar on the wall for support. Carlson laid his shirt neatly on the sink. A paw running down his lithe chest and over his pudgey belly to his fly. Unbuttoning the shorts and rocking his thighs back and forth for them to simple fall off on their own. Groping himself and licking his lips again he turned towards the shower take a few heavy steps as he pulled off his last piece of cloth and let it drop to the floor. "Dr. Holly said it wasn't anything serious but there could be later complications in the future so she wanted to make sure that things-," Lucas voice jumped as a warm paw rubbed his thigh across his rump and a large webbed finger slid between it probing him roughly as low murr escaped the man behind him. Carlson dragged the rest of his bulk into the shower shutting the curtain behind him looking down at the slightly startled male with compasion and caring. "Don't turn around hun," he said his voice heavy as he brushed a paw up his back. "Don't want to get your ankle wet." "Yes, that would be just terrible." Lucas smiled resting back against that burly chest. Carlson wrapped both arms around him giving him a soft squeeze and running his muzzle down across his cheek, closing his eyes and just feeling the water fall over their face. A soft chirr escaped his lips as he gave him another soft squeeze. The feel of that warm flesh against his fur was something that always made him blissful. A warm body to hold, to touch and caress. Someone to love and care for and need. Someone that in turn loved and cared for him. That someone as 'perfect' in the otter standards, as Lucas was for him. A warm breath escaped Carlson as he pulled Lucas against him, bringing a paw down to grope him lovingly. Rubbing that those soft pads over his tender, sensitive flesh. Using a large finger to tease his head. "Tease," Lucas mumbled closing his eyes and just resting against him. "Only ever for my one and only." Carlson mumbled, nuzzling his face a bit more. The otter didn't even seem to know that the two were in a shower. The water rained down above them but gracefully slid of his natural oiled fur, cascading down his lithe muscular body and along his tail, down to the tip and into the drain between their feet. "Love you," he grumbled a bit as if it was the first time he had spoken those words. "I know," Lucas said bringing a hand up to scratch behind the otter head, along his neck and between his ears. "Me too. I love me to." The otter fuzzled up a bit nipping at his neck playfully making Lucas squirm. "I love you, ok?" He laughed trying to shoo away the otter. The hospital shower was small and was cramped for the two males but the otter only seemed to enjoy the contact more. "Your my man, my everything. Happy? Now quit it," he said pushing the otter snout out away from his neck. It was embarassing as the doctor examined him. The staff wasn't sure if he got the bruises from the crash or elsewhere and he eventually told his doctor, in private, that it wasn't that and hinted elsewhere. Thankfully the zebra didn't press him for details. And yet for the rest of the examination she had a smirk on her face. Lucas limped out of the shower and not because of his ankle. Carlson was behind him with a rather satisified goofy grin on his face. "That's the last time Owen," Lucas said rubbing his rump before climbing back into the bed. One of the staff must've added the sheets while they were freshening up. "Last time." "So you say," Carlson nodded, agreeing but they both knew otherwise. The otter pecked him on the cheek, rubbing a paw over his thigh and giving him that warm goofy smile again. "I'll be back, I got to check a few things downstairs. Justin's suppose to be coming and I want to make sure he got here ok." "Of course," Lucas rolled his eyes. The otter was a horrible lier but whatever he was doing he was sure he was going to find out sooner or later. Carlson gave his thigh another strong squeeze with that webbed paw, kissing his cheek again...lingering for a second, those coarse whiskers tickling his cheek as if the otter was thinking of just staying and climbinb in bed with him, before he turned tail and quickly left. Most likely before he changed his mind. Lucas could see him from the window of the door waving at him...until Lucas waved back and the otter headed off to whereever it was otters went to. Lucas laid back, scooting down in his bed before wincing again. Using water as a lubricant was not advised, he thought rubbing his lower back a bit as he adjusted his leg onto the pillow Carlson was kind enough to place for him before leaving. He flipped his phone open looking over the missed calls. Mostly from work and from the texts he had gotten from a certain snow leopard. Something about the small terror of the isle coming to skin him alive or something. Lucas wasn't sure but just in case he sent a message to the stoat to leave the larger male alone. The door to his room opened up and he placed the phone back in his pocket. Lucas was about to condescend the otter for just leaving him like that but his voice caught in his throat as he saw who it was. "What are you doing here?" Lucas asked but it was colder than he attended though he didn't care. "I heard you were in a life or death situation, on your final thread." He said taking off his hat and tossing it over to the chair. He was an older man and from the looks of it hadn't shaved in a few days. His hair was neatly cut in a crewcut. The sweatervest and cropped pants didn't match him at all. "Well. I'm not." Lucas stated flatly never taking his eyes off him. Jordan didn't bother sitting down, instead he walked over to the window and looked out into the parking lot. "This view sucks." He spoke half heartidely after the silence between them became unbearible. "Life sucks." "You seem to be doing good." Jordan turned towards him. "Not talking about the hospital, of course." "Course." Lucas pulled the sheets up a bit uncomfortable being in the position he was in as it was. "You've seen me. I'm not died. Go report back to mommy and daddy," he said sarcastically overtone of his disdain for the two clear, "that i'm ok and fine and dandy. That they won't be coming to my furneral, ever." "Stop being so hot headed." Jordan pulled out a small box from his coat pocket. "You can't smoke in here! It's a hospital for flip sake!" Jordan raised an eyebrow at the word but pulled the cig out of his mouth and placed it in the box again. He looked past him towards the picture set up. Lucas had an otter on his shoulders, with another larger one at his side. It looked like they were at a beach or someplace similar. "Who's the riverdog?" Jordan asked but clearly wasn't that interested in it. "None of your business." Jordan looked back out the window, pulling the cigarette out again and fiddle with it in his hand. "Remember when Lilith brought home that cougar?" "Her prom date you mean?" "Yeah! That guy was a hoot." Jordan placed the cig in his mouth before taking it out and placing it back in the box. "I thought Dad was going to shoot him on the spot." "He's not my father-," "I mean he even got the double barrel out!" Jordan laughed softly ignoring Lucas. "That was a fun night. I don't think I've ever seen him so red faced before." "Lancer was an ok guy." Lucas spoke before his mind caught up to him. At the time he thought he was just another one...some random fur his sister was trying to use to get underneath their parents skin. THEIR parents, not his... "He was defiantly fun at the party." "With the beer pong?" "Heh, yeah! I thought he was going to start stripping on the table by the end of it. Not that you would've mind." He said looking over at Lucas who flushed and looked away. "I didn't do anything." "Sure you didn't. Finding the two of you naked on the couch the next day... nothing, of course." Jordan popped the cigarette back in his mouth, letting it dangle from the side. "If dad didn't threaten to skin him alive you two might still be together, instead of you an the otter." Lucas grumbled. Lancer was a good guy, really. It took a lot for him to 'deal' with what he was but in the end the parents didn't want them together and they weren't about to hide their disagreements about the whole thing. Kicked out the very next day, crashing at his place. Having to deal with his family and brothers who hated him for being a human, the whole thing was something he rather forget- "W-what do you mean otter?" Lucas asked quickly his thoughts finally catching up to him. "Well seeing as how the first guy, that I know of." Jordan answered puffing the unlit cigarette. "Was a cougar, I figured you'd eventually fall back to the furrier side of love that dare not speak its name." He took the cigarette out and looked at it with a frown. "Christie still doesn't know you smoke?" Jordan shrugged his shoulder putting it away. "Image is everything." The words stung Lucas. He could feel the shame of his past slowly coming back. Image is everything was something their parents would say after anything they did wrong. If they got bad grades it would effect them. If they were late for class, attention would be drawn to the family. That they weren't the happy go lucky, good pure christian Rebublican family everyone knew them as. If the neighbors knew what happened behind that closed door... "They said you went to Havard by the by." Jordan spoke as if he read his mind. "Really? Couldn't they just say I died? Be easier." Lucas laughed which Jordan joined in. "Yeah, it was a bit hectic at first. They made letters and paid countless people off so that it would really appear that you did. Rather than run away, of course." "Kicked out." "Ran away, kicked out? Same thing." "Yeah, seeing as how you didn't do a damn thing about it." "And what did you expect me to do?" "I was just a kid! Something! Anything! I didn't have a job, I was still finishing school and if I was sucking cock I would be out in the street in a box!" Lucas was tacken aback from his own words. The anger that had been so repressed for so long had just boiled over, spitting out like molten lava leaving his lips burned. "Y-you know what I mean." "Joey?" Jordan asked with a raised eyebrow not even showing any signs that Lucas had just shouted at him. "Lancer was a good guy...but his family was too much and I couldn't stay there. So...when I got the chance, I stayed at Joey's. It was close to school and I could finish things up." "And all you had to do was be his bitch through it all?" Jordan said in the same tone as always. Lucas figured if he pulled out a gun and shot him in the leg he'd still have that look on his face with the same voice. He really was a master at controlling himself, the perfect image that their family wanted. "Basically..." Lucas thoughts trailed off as the door opened bringing his attention to it. The large otter used his back to push the door open making Lucas groan and cover his face. Carlson had several balloons, flowers and from the looks of it had gone down to the lunch room and gotten several donuts for them. It was a sweet gesture but at the worst time. He didn't even seem to notice they had a guest as he place the flower on the table with the box of donuts, the balloons tied to his wrist like some child at an amusement park. He bent over giving him a whisker filled kiss before finally realizing that someone else was in the room. "Your not suppose to smoke in here." Carlson pointed out. The cigarette was back in Jordan's mouth, unlit but it appeared he was still trying to smoke it. "How very Frank of you." Jordan replied examining the otter the whole time. The large otter was in the baggy cargo shorts he always was with a tight white wifebeater on. Muscle rippled underneath that rich dark fur, clearly seen on his large arms and legs. The body was long and lithe tone except for that gut. His hair curly, facial fur untrimmed and long. And like most the furs he'd seen was wearing sandals, bright lime green nike sandals that had comfort grip - a present from Lucas. Carlson offered a paw with a large smile on his face. "I'm Carlson, and you are?" "Jordan. Jordan Brown." He said looking at the paw with little to no interest. The awkward silence that followed finally made Carlson pull his paw back. "I work at the hospital and was just checking in on the patient to see if he needed anything. But from the looks of it things are going better than we had thought." Jordan headed for the door, opening the box of donuts and stealing the only chocolate glazed one from it. "But it looks like I overstayed my welcome, talk to you later B." "Don't send any postcards." Lucas joked but truly meant it. The less contact he had with that life the better for the one he had now. Things had gone a lot better than normal even when it was just the two of them. The small conversation they had was the longest one he could remember having with his brother. "It's not policy to send 'em." Jordan replied waving back at the two of them before stopping at the door. "Oh and Mr. Otter. Do take care of him, or I'll have to break you legs." He laughed jokingly. "Same goes to you." Carlson replied with a friendly smile placing a protective paw on Lucas's thigh again. The door closed behind him and Lucas was sure he wouldn't be seeing him again. "You alright?" Carlson asked brushing the back of his paw across his cheek. "Yeah, why?" Lucas looked at him unaware of the tears running down his face.
