I crawled my way to the things mouth then slowly climbed out and found myself facing a room full of goo, and corpses. I realized that the monsters I'd been fighting while this beast tried to get rid of me had just been the things puppets. I sighed softly then heard someone shouting and crawled over to one of the weird cocoons that hadn't broken then ripped it open and caught a very slim dragoness who fell out. I stared at her and she said softly "Thank you, the moment that creature died I felt its attempts to corrupt my mind stop. Are there any other survivors?" I shrugged and said softly "We'll have to check the rest of the cocoons, all the ones that creature let out were either corrupted, or dead." She glanced behind me at the monster and its puppets then shivered and said softly "I can't believe you killed that thing, or that it could even exist." I nodded and ran a hand through my hair then started going from cocoon to cocoon pulling them open. Finally I found one that had a coherent survivor. He was a black lab with red marks on his hand and foot paws making him look different from most. I glanced at the rest of the cocoons and realized they were either empty, full of lust filled mindless beasts, or filled with the creatures latest meals. I sighed and glanced down then mumbled "There has to be a way out of this place, obviously can't go back the way I came from, so maybe there's an exhaust vent underneath this goo?" I glanced at the Labrador who was trying to sort his wits out, and the dragoness who was staring at me as if I was some kind of guy who could fix all our problems then dug around in my bag, which I still hadn't lost despite all the fighting, and tried to find something they could use to breath. I blinked as I found a pair of diver's masks that one of the guys had probably put in there. I sighed and mumbled "Wish I'd known about those before." I handed the masks to the dragoness and the lab then said "Pull it down over your face and just relax, follow me into this... mess. I'll do my best to guide you through, but if you feel like you need to breathe, come back to the surface. This shit will fuck you over if you aren't careful." They nodded and the three of us dived in then I swam down to the bottom with them following. I blinked as I found a valve that said "Purge all secretions into sewers?" I smirked and twisted it causing water to pour in, and the secretions to be washed out. We were washed out with it, but, mostly clean water was something I could handle. I saw some pipes hanging from the ceiling of the sewer and grabbed onto them with the lab and the dragoness following suit. Eventually the tide subsided and the water only flowed through the usual drainage canal. I let go and motioned for the others to do the same then the three of us started looking for the nearest manhole. Suddenly the dragoness let out a yell and I turned around. She was grinning really big and pointing up where an open manhole was shining light down on her. I motioned for her to stay back and climbed up while she and the lab stood there talking. I stuck my head out of the manhole and looked around then, when I was sure the coast was clear, motioned for the others to follow and climbed out. The dragoness followed me quickly cursing when her wings started to get stuck.
