Heaven Falls
More meanderings, take them as you will.
I get a rhyme or rhythm in my head some times, or maybe it's just all the old, bad memories
From... from...gasps
A literature class. Ahah.cringes
I see Life--and he's a Clown
Who views the World from upside and down
And watches as each and every one
Wanders daily, strays the path
What path did we create
When to the stony slate
Didst Moses Etch the Ten Commandments
Break them on one knee?
What frustration, hither comes:
The Jester swings and casts his bones
And promises a fortune fair and foul
On 'morrow's eve.
We are the agent now
Of his empowerment
We are the needy, reckless fools
Who bid the Jester come.
'Tis we who sow the seed of Law
'Tis we who sow the seed of Strife
'Tis we who sow the seed of Vanity,
Impoverishment... Morality... and yes, Divinity.
Almighty, God, and can you hear?
Was it you now, who made the queer one--queer?
Was it to send a message?
To scorn? To jeer?
None of that--and hogwash all.
It's us; we hear and heed the call
The need, the want, the hunger
To cast judgement and be judged.
And so, we bend and twist this world
Through ill proportion render it
A sad and sickened place.
What then, when Heaven falls--
When the World takes his rightful place?
