Light began to stream into the bridge of the disabled airship; I awoke with much pain damn did I just get rammed by a dreadnaught? I could feel the aches all over as I surveyed the damage to the bridge something didn't feel right, for starters the view outside the bridge opened to a dark Forrest that abruptly ended along a path yet in contrast the bright blue skies with fluffy looking clouds not like where I came from where the skies were populated by ships of war and trade, also the smoke from industry and the many wars that raged each and every day , this was not sios, and it sure as sunder was not earth below sios, What is this place? , I wondered as I shook myself out of staring, no that will have to wait I need to survey this damage and find a shipyard that is if I can get this bucket to fly, as I ran stock of the logs and various readouts my hopes were dashed, not only were the engine's too damaged, I was completely drained of fuel, despite leaving port with a full load.

This was a Mystery, and it's getting worse How come I can only remember spots blurs of images, I do believe I may be suffering some form of concussion at least that's what I hoped it was, I still remember my name and my rank Grand Admiral Nickoli Krukov and my ship the USSRS Apocalypse while it is disabled now it is, well was I guess now, the flagship of the 1st Soviet Royal Fleet, well at least I can remember some things, just not how I got here or why if it was choice that I came here.

After taking stock of my disabled ship I decided to take some gold at least I sure as heck hope wherever I am actually accepts it as currency then again gold is universal right? Don my uniform I hope its recognizable that I am an Air/Naval officer if where I am is similar to where I came from and begun my trek down the lonely path, hopefully a town was nearby, as I walked I took in my surroundings a bit more the nice green grasses, many trees that dotted the roadside at different points, though as I looked at the massive Forrest I felt a small amount of dread in the pit of my stomach, instinct alone told me something just wasn't normal about it, shrugging that aside as I crested a small hill, what appeared to be a town started to come into view, Huh looks like I may be in luck , with that thought I started to increase my pace the town was more sparse than what you would call big, and what I mean by that is, not allot of houses per say but big wide streets and open market type areas kind of reminds me of the small town I grew up near then I noticed the residents, they, they are horses? Yes I know that sounds strange but here I was in a town populated by horses,

Before I could even get a word out I noticed a bright pink one staring up at me "Um hell......" is all I got out before he/she? Darted off at speed bolshe moy did I say something wrong? Or is my kind feared here? Is it the uniform? Every question was running through my mind, double checking to make sure my service pistol was at the ready if I so needed it I continued on, very much aware that I was receiving the attention of the town, now under certain circumstances I can cope with attention but this had me unnerved, for starters this world was one I was not familiar with, that was becoming extremely apparent, secondly the reaction of the first resident I came across was not one I had hoped to receive, sure arrest me or say hi, but run off before I say anything? Hmm, as I was pondering this I found myself in front of what appeared to be a sweetshop or bakery, but before I could even think to go inside I heard "WOAHHHH LOOK OUT BELOW" before I could react a bluish/ rainbow coloured blur slammed into me I pushed this this horse with wings? What was this place? Off me I admit I lost my temper a bit before whoever he/she was could say anything I stormed into the shop and found a seat, I needed to at least take this all in, that's when I heard the door open and the offender walked in and began an apology "Hey I'm ah... sorry...is..." I cut her (as the voice sounded feminine if a touch tomboyish) off with "Bolshe moy!! You wish to apologise and think things are ok after using me as your own personal runway? I don't know the rules here but I would appreciate it if you don't do it again, now leave me alone please" she replied a little crestfallen with "ok mister and I Am sorry" then she retreated out the door leaving me to ponder everything thus far that happened.

It seems as though I was not going to get any peace, no sooner had I got back to my thoughts than a yellow horse with wings pinkish and styled looking mane with were they butterflies on her flank? Heh kinda cute tattoo for a horse come into the shop and inquire to the owners "Um hi..... I um here that some pony is feeling a bit sad and.... Um upset?" I had to strain to actually hear the last bit as it sounded like a squeak, the shop owner (at least that's who I assumed) pointed in my direction well time to see if this timid seeming pony (hey if that's how they refer to themselves then I will too) is here to arrest me or just tell me to leave the town when she saw me her face became very unreadable, you just know when you're in trouble or not and her face was well neither, she approached me and said in that same quiet voice "Um hi I'd like to know why your so upset.... That is if you don't mind oh and my names] squeak [" ok so I caught all but her name "Ok well please sit then, and I'm sorry I never caught your name?" "Oh it's.... Fluttershy" ah so that's her name yes very feminine and its cute how her name seems to fit her so well I wonder if that's common here or just a fluke"pleasure to meet you, my names Nickoli Krukov I was Grand Admiral well still am just not for where this is" "oh it's nice to meet you too" was she blushing slightly? "please tell me more... that is if its ok with you" such a shy pony but at least she is nice and polite also she seemed to genuinely want to help "ok I shall, I'm not sure how I ended up here, or even where here is, my ship is disabled and as embarrassed as I am to admit it I seem to have some memory loss, would you be able to tell me where I am and where the nearest human settlement is and if they have a shipyard at all?" "oh umm you're in Equestria, but the town here is called ponyville, and I'm umm sorry to say there is no human settlement in fact I thought they were all little foals bedtime stories" uh oh this was not the news I was hoping to hear"umm may I ask you a question, that is if you don't mind" "sure" I replied, "what kind of pony are you? I've never seen any pony like you before" well time to see if I'll be taken seriously considering she said I was 'just a foals story' "Well I'm a human" then there was a long awkward pause as she studied my face to see If I was joking I guess before replying "oh wow I've never met a human before and I'm so sorry I can't help you but I may know some pony who can my friend twilight runs the library maybe she knows more, I'm sooo sorry" she almost looked like she was going to cry "hey thanks Fluttershy I appreciate the help can you show me where it is?" "Oh I'm sorry I'm running late to feed my animals, but it's near the centre of town it's a big tree house she is very smart and umm would you like to be friends..... That is... if it's ok with you?" only a brief conversation but she wants to be friends? Best I get to the library and see if this Twilight can give me anything to go on I made my way out of the sweetshop and towards what I hoped was the centre of town, when I spotted it, how could I miss it? *facepalm* that's right I was too busy focusing on other things and then I got my nose out of place when I got crashed into I made my way to the building and paused outside the door, I could hear voices, 2 to be exact, 1 ordering another around when suddenly *WHAM* right into my face the door slams, well 2nd time today my nose is out of place, as I stand there stunned I notice a small dragon wait dragon? As in a real life dragon that's in myths and fables of old? Well that's something I wasn't expecting then again this world is vastly different best I get used to seeing things like this walked out carrying stacks of scrolls and papers, I decided to stand back and just in time to as a female voice yelled out "SPIKE WAIT YOU FORGOT ONE" and the door burst open again, now I was face to face with a purple unicorn yep a unicorn wow well guess I'm not as shocked or amazed by now but still wow with a navy or slightly lighter bluish mane with a pink and dark purple stripe in it, "Oh so sorry my assistant sometimes forgets things are you ok? oh my your bleeding" before I could answer she dragged me in and showed me to a chair, so I sat in it and as I was about to ask she ran off upstairs into a room before darting back levitating what looked like a first aid kit and was her horn glowing faintly? Yes it was, seems unicorns here can harness telekinesis she was fast in dabbing up the blood and helping stop the flow that I was grateful for blood noses aren't fun or always easy to stop as she was putting her stuff away she said "there all better, my names Twilight sparkle what's yours? And if you don't mind me asking what are you I've never seen anything like you around?" I cringed a bit cos I could just about imagine the reception I'll get but "Pleasure to meet you I'm Nickoli Krukov, I'm a human, Fluttershy said you may be able to help me" "A Human? No no no no no, you're not serious are you? They only exist as foals tails" a bit off put I replied "Yes I am serious, look for yourself I'm guessing I'm not the usual type you get around here"

She immediately went looking through books, I was a bit stunned as she levitated them out from shelves till she found what she was looking for and held it open with a very aged picture of a human and compared it with me "Well I guess there is some truth in these tales, but how can it be that you exist and no pony has ever seen you or anyone like you before?" I replied "Well to start with I'm not from here, I wish I could go into more detail but somehow I just woke up here with a disabled ship, I'm not even sure if here was my intended destination, this place is just so unusual to me"

We went onto converse about differences between Equestria and where I came from with what I could remember after talking for a long time and needing a break, as luck would have it in strolled a white unicorn with a styled mane must be a model or upper class rich he he"oh darling sorry to interrupt but we must discuss what you wish to wear for the Grand Galloping Gala this year and don't tell me your thinking of wearing the one I made last season as it simply won't do.... "Hi Rarity this here is Nickoli Krukov he's a human, and no I was thinking of trying something a bit less formal this year, the princess is holding it outside, but I'll trust your judgement" "marvellous dear I think I may have just the thing in mind" she looked over to me and said "Darling I am Rarity Top fashion designer here in Ponyville pleasure to meet you" blinking then bowing wouldn't want to offend someone who seems of high standing"pleasure to meet you too, as you know I'm Nickoli Krukov, Grand Admiral of the 1st soviet royal fleet" she looked a bit stunned for a few seconds "Oh my, and your uniform is in rags I don't mean to sound insulting dear but it strikes me as odd" at this I looked over my uniform it looked fine, at my questioning look she directed me to a mirror where I noticed the back of my uniform had some holes and rips, obviously from being rammed into the ground by that pony who used me as a landing pad "oh I see, heh didn't notice it was torn up a bit" was my meek reply "Oh think nothing of it darling but I insist you come with me so I can at least mend it for you" I looked to Twilight who just nodded and said "Go ahead I need to write a letter and I'll meet up with you later at the café for a snack if you're hungry which I'm assuming you must be cos I haven't seen you eat all day" well now that she mentioned it I was feeling a little bit hungry, so I simply nodded back before getting the door for Rarity and holding it open as she walked through, before I could however spike came through the door and gave me an odd look before he was called aside by twilight "Spike take a note" is all I heard as I left with Rarity in the lead.

"So Darling you're in a royal navy?" "Yes I rose through the ranks as a skilled combatant starting with light fighter craft aboard fight/bomber group carriers till I attained command of my own flagship" "Hmmm darling I haven't heard of any wars going on in Equestria unless I'm mistaken" "well I'm not from here, I come from a place called Sios, gripped in constant war and fighting a tyrannical dictator who calls himself the Lord High Chancellor" I left it there as more memories began to flow back, painful memories "Oh that sounds dreadful we have our share of Ruffians and miscreants here but they are kept well in check, I hope you enjoy your time here" that lifted my spirits a bit "Well everyone I have spoken to has been so kind and helpful, well except that cyan coloured Pegasus the name eluded me before but horses with wings I remember now are Pegasus ponies yet another myth turned real here with the rainbow mane who used me as a landing pad" at the description she shot me a look "oh that's Rainbow Dash she means well even if she can be a bit uncouth she's a good friend just give her a chance please darling?" at that I felt really bad I had lost my temper with this charming ponies friend "I will in fact next time I see her I'm going to apologise about being short with her earlier I guess I was just too overwhelmed with everything plus the looks I was getting about town" she looked shocked at that last part "Looks darling? I'm sure they mean well but you are quite the oddity and to think I thought humans were little fillies tales" "heh yeah I guess I am the odd one out" she gave me a look "Oh don't say it like that, you look quite dashing, I simply meant that not being a pony means you really stick out.... Anyway here we are, the carrousel boutique my home and business" I let her unlock the door and then rushed in to hold it open for her, earning a touching smile "My you are well bred dear, your manners are simply something I rarely see outside Canterlot, well except for spike, such a dear he is" "thanks, and talking about spike, without being rude is there something between you two? He shot me an odd look when I held the door open for you back at the library" "oh he's such a dear and I hope you took no offence to it, but the little dear seems to have a bit of a crush on me *giggle* I love him to death but he is simply too young for me" "I see, well I didn't take offence to it, but at least now I understand why hehehe" Rarity showed me around a bit before asking "Now dear I can't repair your clothes with you in them, would you mind taking them off for me" sounding half between an order and a question I did as any well trained officer does, that is take them off fast without thinking, standing there topless I noticed Rarity giving little looks as she tended to my top, and was that a slight blush? That's when it hit me, I was standing there topless in front of a lady, now being that I have had experience with women before usually those who frequented bars and I was at one time married, I suddenly became aware that this was a different place and the lady I was exposed too was obviously one of class "Oh um Excuse me do you have something I can cover myself in, I hope I didn't offend you or anything especially after your generous offer?" she must not have heard me at first cos she seemed to be very focused until she eventually replied "Oh oh, not at all dear, in fact I should be the one apologising for staring at you not that I don't like what I see *giggle* there's a towel in the bathroom upstairs can't miss it, you can use that till I'm done" "thanks" I said as I ran up to grab the towel, did she just say she liked how I looked? Well I may not still be in top shape but I guess I still look kinda buff even if I have more of a vodka gut than I used too as I was still pondering things on my way back I nearly tripped over a cat well seems ponies have pets here"sorry comrade didn't mean to nearly run you over" the cat a Persian at first gave me the "I'm going to claw you look" before it softened at my words and my hand giving it a pet, nuzzling into my hand right then Rarity came past looking for something "Oh you've met opalescence, isn't she just darling? I hope she was nice to you" so a female Persian "she's adorable and very nice" at this Rarity gave a slightly puzzled look "Oh well I'm glad she's taken to you so well, she's usually wary around strangers, you and Fluttershy are the only 2 not to receive the usual greeting" well I'm glad I got the nice one not too sure if my body could handle much more, I followed Rarity back out to her work area and we were about to resume conversation when a pony with a blonde mane tied back in a ponytail with an orange coat and Stetson walked in with a dress, and was that 3 apples tattooed on her flank?

"Howdy there Rarity, I was wonder'n if'n ya could fix up mah Gala Dress a bit, seems last storm we copped flooded mah wardrobe?" "of course Applejack but I may need to alter it depending on what extent the damage is" "well alright I trust your judgement" "applejack dear I have a guest you simply must meet, that gentle colt standing over there is new to our town his name is Nickoli Krukov" to which she looked my way "Well Howdy there pardner I'm applejack, nice to meet you" I took the hoof offered to me and shook back "Pleasure to meet you" she stepped back a bit "aww shucks no need ta be so formal, anyway why do you look like one of them foal story humans?" she asked with an odd look "I am human" I deadpanned, she gave me a look then said "Well all right then, you don't seem to be lying so I'ma gonna take yer word fer it, and I'd like to know how you got here" she looked at the clock before continuing "but ahm running late as it is, cya around Nickoli, and Rarity those fabrics you ordered, breaburns bringing them by tomorrow bye ya'll" "thanks applejack" then Rarity turned to me "Applejack runs sweet apple acres and it's the middle of apple bucking season that's why she's so busy" she told me I must have had a questioning look on my face, "Well no wonder she's in a hurry, maybe I can help out somehow once I get the gist of the place" "oh darling Applejack would simply love that I'm so glad you're kind enough to help her" "well I don't mind besides I was raised on a farm, but we grew potatoes not apples ha-ha" Rarity gave slight look of disapproval at the mention of growing up on a farm but then smiled "Well Dear it looks like your uniform is repaired, try it on and let's see" so I put the top back on and looked in the mirror, I think the look on my face said it all, never had it looked so good Rarity even fixed some of the small nicks it copped when I was in the field "Perfect, how much do I owe you and do you accept gold?" after I asked I knew I shouldn't have, I could see the hurt look on her face "No my dear it's on the house and I insist, you are a guest here and your already going to help my friend Applejack and that is thanks enough" I realised my mistake then and there "I'm sorry if I offended, but thanks and I really mean it, you're so kind" yep defiantly fits her name to a T, elegant, a lady of high taste and generous too, Rarity sure was a ..... well Rarity, "Quite alright darling, now I must start on Applejacks dress, could you please tell Twilight I won't be able to meet up with her as I have to fabualise this dress" I nodded "I will, hope to see you again soon" as I was heading out Rarity replied "You sure will darling and I need to take your measurement I insist on making you some additional attire, maybe even a dress uniform or suite for the Gala, which I'm assuming you will get an invite to after Twilight mentions your arrival" at the last part I felt kind of intimidated, at least I hope the friendliness extended to the rulers of this land I could only assume it was a massive event held in high prestige much like galas back where I'm from which I have attended because of my rank (but in all honesty to me they weren't really that fun) before I got out the door Rarity stopped me again "Oh and can you be a dear and give this to spike from me please?" she hovered a big ruby towards me which I put in my pocket and nodded yes as I set off.

I made my way back towards the centre of town and caught sight of Twilight and Spike who waved me over "How did things go?" before I could answer Spike spoke up "You're not muscling in on my girl are you huh?" Twilight gave spike an angry look but I spoke up to answer both, "Rarity did a great job on my Jacket and shirt, fixed things I didn't even notice, and no Spike I'm not Rarity wanted to fix my uniform for me, oh and she apologised for not being able to make it she's busy with Applejacks Gala Dress" as we made our way to the café I suddenly remembered the ruby, I pulled it out "Hey Spike, Rarity said this is for you" I handed it to him at which point he hugged it "hey thanks sorry about before" he seemed to be in his own little world before he devoured the ruby, "Not a problem, you eat gemstones?" the young dragon smiled and replied "yes there part of our diet" nodding I kept walking with them till we got to an outside dining area and took our seats, I looked at the menu, hmmm vegetarian, not my first choice but considering this place was inhabited by ponies it was inevitable, lost in the menu I nearly fell backwards when the waiter arrived "May I take your orders?" I gestured for Twilight and spike to go first as I was still trying to decide on exactly what and making sure no grass, hey or dandelions were in it, "Dandelion sandwich for me" Twilight ordered, followed by Spikes "Hay fries extra crispy with source" finally I ordered "Ceaser salad hold the dandelion please" "Fine choices" replied the waiter as he left as suddenly as he appeared, "you on a diet?" Twilight asked laughing a bit the joke not being missed by Spike, "No just where I come from dandelions aren't very appetizing" she gave an interested look "I guess humans diets are a bit different" I replied "Yes were omnivores we eat meat and some plants" she looked thoughtful for a bit then a little sad as she said "Sorry we don't have the facilities to give you what you usually would eat" I gave a shrug and replied "Its ok I was thinking of adding more salads to my diet, guess fate finally took a boot to my bum and made me ha-ha" at that we all had a laugh "So Nickoli have you anyplace to stay? If not I would be honoured if you would stay at the library with me and spike" I hadn't thought of a place to stay "I'd be honoured to stay at your place Twilight, to be honest I never even thought about lodgings" Twilight smiled and replied "Great it'll be like a sleepover but longer" a sleepover huh? Ok cool why not, then thinking of how to ask without offending I just gave in and asked "Twilight I hope you don't take offence but how much would I owe you and how long can I stay" her smile never drooped as she replied "Your welcome to stay as long as you want, and don't be silly your my guest" nodding I replied "Thanks you along with everyone I've met so far are just so nice here" again the thoughtful look when she asked "I take it where your from noponys as kind?" I nodded "Yes where I came from it wasn't unusual to be shot at just by looking at someone the wrong way, many a time I've had to dodge flying bullets" shocked looks as both asked "Guns and bullets? Only the royal guards have such technology here and its kept under strict lock and key" I smiled as I replied "well at least here I won't have that on my mind" they both smiled as the waiter arrived placing our orders in front of us, "Bon appetite" I noticed twilight hover her sandwich while eating it, and Spike all but dive into the fries, I must say generous portions here, I started on my salad, and talk about flavour, I've had salads before but they usually have been a bland affair, but this, this was amazing, emboldened by the taste I decided to see if the hay fries were good "hey Spike, mind if I have a taste?" he paused and said "Sure, take a handful" so I did, and they were good, we finished our meals in silence then noticed it was getting late Twilight stated "I'll take care of it" and set several gold coins on the table, at which I sat some of the gold I had on the table and motioned her to take back some feeling guilty about how generous she was being to me "What is that currency?" I asked "Bits, there gold fashioned into coins but gold is accepted here" understanding I said back "Well I always carry Gold on my ship that's why I put some there if they'll accept gold then I'll pay you've been kind enough to give me a place to stay" she looked reluctant but finally gave in, I asked the waiter and he measured it up, to which I added a bit more and told him it's a tip and to give my compliments to the chef, to which he was very pleased. And then we set off back to the library.

The walk back was filled with more questions and answers from all 3 of us, but considering I was still taking in allot of this new information I ended up answering all the questions I could, some I left deliberately vague in detail as they brought back painful memories I was still not comfortable facing , Spike took the lead and opened the door when suddenly...................................................................................................................................................................
