the next chapter of the story :)

As I pull back onto the freeway my phone rings. I look at caller id. Darn it you, cant you go one day without bugging me? I answer the phone. "Tal..."

"YO! ITS BEEN OVER AN HOUR! WHERE YOU AT!" Berrwain shouts, trying to be heard over the music playing loudly in his vehicle. I cringe in pain at the sound as I pull the phone away from my ear.

"Im getting back on the freeway right now. And hey, TURN THE MUSIC DOWN!" I reply, Sarven saying the last part with me.

"Oh right, the music. Hey what brand speakers did you put in this thing?"

"I made them myself. Why, are you thinking you want a set for your car?" I ask tauntingly.

"Well, no..."

"You blew up a speaker didn't you?" I ask exasperatedly.

"Well... uhh maybe... I don't think...." Berrwain stammers out.

"Did you or didn't you?" I demand.

"Yeah, I blew a speaker..."

"You blew the subwoofer didn't you?" I ask.

"Kinda, it still sorta works" Berrwain says as if nothing is wrong.

"Ugh. Your paying for it, you know that right."

"Yeah yeah, gotta pay for my mistakes, death on my head if I do it again, yadda yadda yadda whatever. So what took you so long?" Berrwain rants, attempting to change the subject.

"oh, stuff. Hey do we really need to talk about this right now im a little busy at the moment." I reply.

"Oh I see. Have you any dignity? Doing it in a public crapper!" Berrwain taunts.

"You know, for being recently discharged from active service you have a dirty mind. And no, I was not doing it in a public crapper! Im busy trying to get a thirteen speed stick shift behemoth of a truck up to speed right now, which aint easy when you are using a hand to hold a phone." I tell Berrwain. "Here Sarven, you want to talk to him?" I ask as I hand the phone to Sarven. Sarven and Berrwain continue talking while I bring the truck back up to speed. I hear a horn and look out the window to see the s10 from earlier, the kid driving has the windows down, the stereo cranked, his tongue hanging out, and his outer two fingers out. Is he trying to get me to rock out? I glance at my own stereo and then back at the teen driver. Now he is smiling and giving me a thumbs up. So you go from obscene gestures to attempting to be friends? Whatever, if he wants to try to be friend for five minutes before I leave him in the dust im not gonna be a dick. I reach towards the stereo when Sarven snaps his paw out and grabs my wrist.

"Drosmine we have to take the next exit. There is a heavy storm blowing in and with the trailer loaded like that we don't stand a chance at staying on the road" Sarven says, concern obvious in his voice.

"Oh crap. If its that bad the whole damn freeway is going to be littered with motorists in deep crap here shortly!" I say as I look at the teen in the small truck. I point at him, then to the side of the road and the sign for the approaching exit. The teen responds simply by shaking his head and pointing to his watch. I just shake my head, point up, and then draw a finger across my throat as I turn onto the exit ramp. "Sarven, are the others going to the holiday inn?"

"Yeah, there is supposed to be an underground parking lot that is truck accessible. Everyone else is already there, they are waiting on us. We already have a room, we just need to get there." Sarven tells me, letting go of my hand so I can change gears. I can feel the wind start pulling at the truck as wind speeds pick up.

"How far away is it? I don't think weve got much time before we loose something" I say as I check the trailer in the mirrors.

"Not far according to Berrwain. Just take a right up here and it should be a couple miles from the exit."

"Oh great. Heavily loaded behemoth truck driving against high winds. This is going to be fun" I say sarcastically as I turn on the turn signal. Before Sarven has a chance to say anything a gust of wind blows, making the truck creak and groan under the strain. "We should probably hurry before this crap gets too bad."

"Yeah that sounds like a good idea. Lets go" Sarven replies in a hurry. I pull onto the road and head down the street, fighting the wind the entire time. "That looks like the place, let's get inside" Sarven comments as he points to the hotel on the right side of the street. As I pull into the carport the valet driver comes outside and stops dead in his tracks when he sees the truck. I park the truck and open the passenger door.

"How about I drive, and you tell me where I can park out of the weather. No offense but I doubt you can drive this." I say, gesturing towards the thirteen speed manual transmission. The man just nods his head as he approaches the truck.

"How do you drive this thing? Its huge!" The man exclaims as he climbs into the truck.

"With enough practice you can drive anything with an engine" Sarven says as he pokes his head up from the back seat. The valet worker jumps and almost falls out of the truck doing so. Sarven chuckles quietly as he settles back down in the back seat.

"Must you do that every chance you get?" I ask. "one of these days your going to hurt someone doing that" I turn to the valet worker "Im sorry about that. But the weather is getting nasty, can we get this thing out of the elements before I loose the contents of the trailer?" I ask impatiently. The valet pulls the door shut and directs me where to go. I park the truck, kill the engine, and thank the man for his help. "Here is something for your help" I say as I hand over a tip. The man walks away shaking his head and muttering something under his breath as he goes. Once he is out of ear shot I turn to Sarven who has a big grin on his face. We both burst out in laughter for several minutes. "DID YOU SEE THE LOOK ON HIS FACE!?!" I exclaim hardly able to breathe. "THAT WAS HILARIOUS!"

"Whats so funny?" Berrwain asks as he walks up to us.

"Ill tell you later" I choke out as I wave him away. A few minutes later once ive regained my composure and my breath I grab my computer bag and Sarven's bag from the truck. Sarven climbs out of the truck, locking the doors as he gets out. We all start walking towards the stairs and Berrwain hands me my room key as we go. As we come up to the door Sarven pushes his head between Berrwain and myself to open the door and I burst out laughing again.

"WHATS SO DAMN FUNNY!?!" Berrwain yells as Sarven and I laugh. I just wave him away as I walk through the door. We all walk up to the fifth floor where our rooms are at. As Sarven and I walk into our room Berrwain punches me in the shoulder.

"Ow, what the hell man?" I ask him as I turn to face him.

"TELL ME!" Berrwain exclaims.

"Alright alright Ill tell you! Just don't break my arm" I reply exasperatedly.

"Bout time!"

"Oh shut up. So, you remember the first time you saw the inside of the big truck?" I ask.

"Yeah. I thought it was really cool, and then Sarven stuck his head up from the back seat and I fell on my ass trying to get out of the truck" Berrwain replies in a begrudged tone.

"Well he did it again!" I reply as I turn to Sarven, a grin on my face.

"You two are mean, you know that?" Berrwain asks as he turns and leaves the room

"You two are mean, you know that?" Sarven imitates Berrwain, clearly mocking him.

"Oh quit it you" I say as I poke Sarven in the arm. I get up and go to the door and put the "do not disturb" sign on the outside of the door then lock it. I return to the bed where Sarven is and take my shirt off as I sit down. "So, going back to earlier." I start as I drop my shit on the floor and open my computer bag. As I pull out the hand made incense burner shaped in Sarven's likeness he interrupts me.

"Do we really need to go back to this?" Sarven asks as he shifts his position.

"Yes, yes we do. You are troubled by your actions when you should be proud of your actions." I say as I pull a few sticks of incense out. I place the burner on the night stand next to the bed, put an incense stick in it, and light it.

"Do you even know that my parents were betraying their country? Do you know that you killed traitors? Sarven, they were selling top secret intel to top bidders on the black market! You don't think I got all of my money from what I do with my spare time, do you? No. sixteen million dollars my parents made because of their actions. I used that money to buy a lot of tools and other stuff, a warehouse to store everything in, and a house. I kept six of what was left, and the rest I sent to the IRS with a letter explaining where the money came from and why it was being sent to them. This was before their death Sarven. Their death wasn't an accident, it was intentional. You were actually supposed to rip their throats out in front of their entire platoon after making their betrayal known if they were to survive the suicide mission they were sent on. I thought you knew this, but I was wrong." I explain to Sarven in a soft tone. I reach out and place my hand on his snout, pulling his head so that he looks at me. "You may not think so, but by leaving them for dead you did a great service to your fellow marines and to this country." I say, and then in a more seductive tone I add "More importantly you're still alive to be here, in this bed with me." I take my pants off and turn off the light. Before lying down I light a candle next to the incense burner. I am about to crawl under the covers thinking Sarven is missing the hints when he drapes his wing over me and balls up around me.

"You don't have to go to such great lengths to get my attention" Sarven tells me. Sarven licks my cheek as someone knocks on the door. Sarven gets up to answer the door. As soon as the door opens I hear an employee start lecturing Sarven about fire hazards and safety issues and the such. I quickly pull my pants back on and go to the door.

"Shut up. We get it, put the damn candle out! You don't need to stand here and deliver a lecture when you could just say put the candle out." I snap angrily. The employee that was lecturing Sarven slowly steps behind his superior, who is now glaring angrily at me. "And you can just piss off! Kick me out and I can easily have the charges on the credit card used to pay for this reversed and then you loose a lot of money. So just leave and I will put the candle out, stay here and were goanna have problems."

"You can keep the stupid candle, the room is fire proof. All dragon accessible rooms are. But you do need to put out whatever is making that horrible smell" Retorts the man in the suit as he turns and walks away, the employee in tow. I shut the door and return to the bed. I lick my fingers and pinch the stick of incense to put it out. I undress completely and crawl back into bed. I look down as Sarven crawls into bed with me to see his member hanging between his legs and coated in a thick natural lubricant. I spread my legs and arch my back as Sarven positions himself on top of me, slowly lowering himself onto me. I feel the tip of his shaft press against my rear for a second before slipping inside. I moan in pleasure as Sarven slowly thrusts deeper. Sarven croons as he licks my neck, thrusting deeper still. I wrap my arms around Sarven's neck as he pulls out and thrusts again and again. Sarven envelops me with his wings, his hot breath warming the air quickly. Sarven starts breathing heavier, and I know he is close. I arch my back and press into Sarven's thrusts. I feel the knot expand inside me and the warm seed pouring into me. As I pull Sarven into a closer embrace my phone starts ringing.

"please do" I say with a sigh. Sarven picks my phone up with his tail and whips it across the room where it shatters against the wall. Sarven rolls onto his side while holding me and caresses me as I fall asleep. In the fleeting moments of consciousness before sleep I hear Sarven whisper "sleep well my love".

"Drosmine, hey drosmine. DROSMINE!" Berrwain says in an urgent tone trying to wake me up.

"shut up Berrwain! He is sleeping!" Sarven replies in a hushed voice. I come to, still holding my embrace with Sarven.

"ugh, Im up. Sarven who are you talking to?" I say groggily as I gain awareness of my surroundings.

"He is talking to me. And seriously? In a hotel room?" Berrwain asks behind me. I think Sarven can tell how I feel because he completely covers me with his wings to hide me from view. Oh god this is so embarrassing! What the hell is he even doing in here anyway!?!

"I think it best that you leave Berrwain. Leave NOW" Sarven says sternly. I can hear footsteps and the door slam as Berrwain turns tail and runs out of the room to avoid Sarven's anger. "Im sorry about that. Just go back to sleep, it's only two in the morning and we have a long drive tomorrow" Sarven says softly.

"Why would I if I can't enjoy you being here with me when I'm asleep?" I ask trying to hide my embarrassment. Sarven balls up around me and wraps his forearms around me.

"Aww, aren't you sweet?" Sarven croons. Sarven licks my cheek and pulls me closer to him to comfort me. "Just try to get some sleep Drosmine. I will wake you in the morning" Sarven tells me softly. I let my body go limp and try to go back to sleep, but to no avail. I must have fallen asleep at some point, because the next thing I know, Sarven is telling me to get up. "Come on Drosmine, it's almost noon! We need get moving" Sarven says, urging me to get moving. I wake with a start as I recall what happened earlier.

"wha... oh, alrighty then" I say as I uncurl. How the hell did I end up like this? I thought Sarven was tied to me... unless im not the only one that was embarrassed by Berrwain's insensitivity. I find that Sarven pulled out while I was asleep and he curled up in a tight ball around me.

"Drosmine get up. We have a lot to do and not a lot of time to do it" Sarven informs me as he pokes my chest.

"Im up im up. Hey, whats going on here? You said it was almost noon! Its only seven oclock!" I reply as I get up and look at the alarm clock.

"I thought we could go do something fun for breakfast and I needed to get you up to do it." Sarven retorts with a grin. "Now come on! Get dressed and lets go!" Sarven says excitedly. I get out of bed and get dressed. I find a pen and some paper and write a note for Berrwain because I know he is going to barge in again. I grab my wallet, room key, and keys to the truck and walk out the door with Sarven.

"So what's so important to go do that I don't have time to take a shower?" I ask as I run down the stairs two at a time just to keep up with Sarven.

"You'll see" Sarven replies happily as he bounds down the stairs.
