Chapter 26 yet another home

The ride to sarah's apartment was a long and difficult ordeal for the feral grey wolf. It went against just about all he knew. For a split second he wondered how things would he have never spoken to Sarah. But that fleeting thought melted from his mind when he felt her fingers run over the fur of his neck. She had learned how to feel Grey's emotions, call it wolf intuition if you will. "Grey my love please try to relax, I know car rides are a new experience for you, but think of this as a sort of vacation. " She smiled at him and he forced one back. But from the window he saw the landscape of dirt and pine trees give way to an alien world of steel and concrete. Though his yellow wolven eyes he watched his mate weave though the city trying as best he could to take it in. They turned into a parking garage, and Sarah pulled into her spot shutting the engine off. "Well Grey we are um home, mine at least. But just so the neighbors don't freak may I use the leash? " She was scared and a bit embarrassed asking him this since he was her mate after all. Grey said nothing only giving a simple nod. She snapped the leash to his collar and opened the door.

"Grey please take it easy and relax you are safe by my side." Stepping out of the car she turned to him still sitting in the passenger seat. He stood and slinked out from the car, his paws hitting the cold lifeless concrete. His wild DNA told him to run but something kept the wolf from acting on these thoughts. Maybe he had already become more tame than he thought, maybe it was something more. They stood there for a moment till he sighed, "I hope your den is more comfortable than this." She laughed. "Well let's find that out together shall we?" She gave a some what comforting tug on the leash as if for once in their relationship she was alpha and not him. Before it grew tight he moved in her direction and for the first time Grey was obedient at least for the moment. They approached the elevator, and Sarah reached out pushing the up button. After twenty seconds or so, a bell rang and the doors opened. Grey stepped away growing unsure of the strange thing. "Oh stop Grey this is an elevator, it will take us to my apartment." She knelt down nuzzling him then they stepped inside together. The doors closed and she selected her floor, Grey barked as the elevator began to move.

His yellow eyes darting about the small space trying to make comprehend all this. The bell dinged again as they reached their floor and the doors opened. Grey was astonished as the surroundings were now totally different and much more inviting. They stepped out into the hallway walking down it. He held his body low staying defensive looking about. The feeling of carpet under his paws was strange, as were the many scents. Sarah stopped at a door marked a67 and fumbled with her keys. Finding the right one she opened the door, "come inside Grey this is home." He padded inside looking about at the odd place. Sarah took off the leash and collar and hugged the nervous wolf. "I love you Grey, you are my heart." He licked her wagging his thick tail "as do I Sarah that is why I made this sacrifice." The two nuzzled one another for a few minutes because in reality with all of the drama as of late, their moments together had been few. Sarah stood and ran her fingers over his large ears, "feel free to explore I have to read through the list of tasks we have to achieve." He nodded and plodded around sniffing his new odd home looking at his mate's den. Sarah found the packet and began reading. Most of the tasks were simple in her mind, things like potty training, healing on a leash. But some worried her like being able to be petted by anyone, and being able to be off leash at a dog park. She shook her head looking up to Grey who was peering out the patio window at the city.

Chapter 27 training begins

She removed her hair tie letting it fall loose over her back. Placing the papers on the table she walked to him and sat with her lover. "Grey one good thing about all this is all notes will be written by me and I will be video taping your progress. So we can be much closer to one another here with out worry." She wrapped her arms around him and kissed him growling. "I think you first lesson will be to learn some new tricks." He kissed back then pulled away slightly, "tricks?" She nodded with a fiery look in her eyes pushing him over onto his back. Before he could react she straddled him leaning down licking his belly fur. Murring he stretched long thinking to himself how maybe this would not be so bad after all. Sarah teased further down his belly then nuzzled his flaced sheath. "You see Grey not all sex is simply about making babies or pups. Humans especially like to have sex for pleasure." She raised her short skirt up then slid back to his muzzle. Her silk panties were already damp and she slowly rubbed her crotch to his nose whimpering. "Lick me my alpha please", to which she felt his spongy warm tongue press into her. As he lapped she leaned down sucking on the opening of his sheath letting a hand slowly slide down to the base wrapping over it. Her hand slowly slid up and down his filling sheath till she felt the base swell a bit. Grey whimpered arching his back as Sarah pulled his sheath down exposing his half hard shaft. Chapter 27 tasks to be made

The next morning Grey awoke first curled around Sarah on the floor. The heavy scent of their musk thick in the air. He chuckled to himself thinking what Sarah's boss would think walking in upon this. He lovingly licked behind her ear dragging a fang to her soft flesh. She stirred and jumped up. "Shit my boss will be here soon to check on our progress. Grey simply laughed at her words. "My love I thought that was as you say progress last night." Sticking her tongue out at him she ran to the shower removing her clothes mixed with a cocktail of sweat, saliva, mixed female human and wolf fluids. "Grey just hold on I will let you go potty im a second. The words seemed so odd to him but yet in a strange way the so called wild wolf understood. Until a knock came at the door. Grey smiled knowing who was on the other side simply by the scent and padded to where the knocks came from. One failure of Sarah had always been to take her lover's brain for granted. He watched her every move and as such knew how the door operated. Looking over his shoulder seeing she was busy taking a shower trying to ready herself Grey turned lifting his nose opening the door.

Her boss barraged in and slammed the door behind him, all was silent other than the sound of a shower. That and the muffled sounds of a women cursing from the same room. It was at that moment the man's blood ran cold realizing that it was not Sarah who had let him in. "Grey where the fuck are you? Just remember you need me t....to." "Oh do I now?" The large wolf came out from behind a chair standing in front of him. "I am sure one of your doggie tasks on that paper is for me to protect my owner." He stepped towards the man forcing him backwards towards the door. "I would say I have accomplished that as you say task wouldn't you say? Oh and yes you are right I do need you thats why your still breathing." Sarah came out from the bathroom wrapped in a towel only to look up seeing the situation between the two. "Grey what the fuck are you doing get over here. And you, what gives you the right to just let yourself in?" Grey obedienly moved to her side sitting then growled softly . Her boss looked bewildered, "who the fuck am I? Your damn wolf let me in, why dont you ask him." She looked down scowling at Grey then got his collar and leash harnessing him.

Sarah nerviously spoke trying to break the tension, "Well as you can see sir we have already completed some of the tasks, and in a remarkably short time may I add." He cleared his throat, "that may be so but I am putting in a work order to have a new door knob installed." At heart she found it hard not to laugh but managed to keep her composure. Grey turned away from him padding to the couch leaping to it laying down scowling at him. "Her boss kept an eye upon Grey as she turned her attention to Sarah with a smile upon his face. "I have decided to add something to the program.......you see when Grey mentioned that all animals can comunicate with one another that got my mind going. So i have a special task that i want Grey to preform and if it is succesful i will remove a few tasks from the list." Sarah nodded listening to what he had to say although her gut told her this would not be good. Her boss held up a finger motioning her to join him in the hallway away from Grey's ears and she followed closing the door behind her. He turned looking to her still with a somewhat evil grin of revenge, "i want Grey to comunicate with another animal and have it proven. I have the perfect animal as well it's even a wolf, his name at the lab is Blue we got him as a pup shortly after Grey was brought in. I dont really care what he says to Blue only that it is documented and in the messege that Blue is told to repeate it once he gets it.

She nodded thinking not much of the task for the moment only wanting him gone and went back inside closing the door. Walking to Grey she held her hands on her hips with an angry look upon her face. "Damn Grey are you trying to get yourself killed? If you hurt that asshole you know he will pull the plug on all this and that will be the end." Grey bared his fangs standing on the couch lifting a leg peeing on it looking dead at her, "i love you with all my heart Sarah but i will not back down from him and to you..... dont soon forget that i am a wild animal at heart." Yelling she knocked him off the couch seeing him pee, to which he flipped and pinned her wild eyed with his jaws firmly planted around her slender neck. "So what does your asshole boss have intended for me now may i ask or are you going to keep that from me too?" Rolling she escaped his clench and grabed his throat in her teeth clenching hard drawing blood. "Fuck Grey do you think i am doing all this because i want to? i gave you your chance to escape all this shit you were the one who chose to stay, how dare you bite me. Yes i will tell you once you stop trying to dominate me and start treating me as your equal."

Grey pulled away having never thought of Sarah as that for some reason. Although she was his mate there was always a deep way of thinking towards humans inside him that caused him to see humans as not so much lesser than him, but less intelligent. It was nothing against Sarah but simply because all other animals around the world saw humans as less equal, so did he in a way. The difference was Sarah had been the first to change this view of the species at least in his eyes but still the stigma stuck untill this point. He turned away padding to the patio door looking back as if asking to go potty flattening his ears. "I....I am sorry Sarah maybe this is all a mistake, maybe i am not the one to make the breakthrough from animal to human, maybe you should not love me." He looked away ashamed as she walked to him opening the door to which he padded out fully releaving himself then curling up into a corner. "I love you Sarah with all my heart and i now see that not all humans are the same daft creatures. Thats why i fell in love with you and asked you to be my mate, not because there was no other around, but because i wanted you." Tears rolled from her eyes kneeling down to him, "Grey i fell in love with you because of your heart and having the courage to do what no other one creature would. I fell in love with you because you are strong and nobel, even when faced with horrable tasks. i love you for what you are now, not what you may be in the future or what you were in your past." He pulled away for the moment simply saying, "i have a messege to send, you silly humans think stepping outside a thin wall prevents me from hearing you......leave me be." She stood only walking to the door locking it, then went into her room slamming the door.

Grey sat on the patio for what seemed like a few hours. his yellow eyes cast upon the landscape of metal starting to think how odd humans were till a black crow happend to land on his stoop. Grey sat sillent not wanting to frighten it and for a moment almost admiered him. The crow as simple as it may be was free to go and come as it pleased. roaming about where ever it chose, and yet with that freedom chose to be here. "Why do you stay here crow?" The bird instantly begain to fly away but because of their insestant curiosity caused him to return. "Because the city is a good place to find food, find a mate etc...." The simple answer confused the wolf who stood on his haunches tilting his head to the bird. "But dont you find humans more often than not crewl as i do?" The crow nodded, "yes that is true just the other day a child was feeding me popcorn, i was circling above watching other birds eat. So i swooped down landing then the human threw a rock at me, maybe because the other birds were pigons and i a crow."

Grey stood nodding and bowed to the simple crow, "do you know who i am?" The crow laughed lifting his wings to the wolf, "no i dont, i figured just another dog trying to eat me. You see that happens offten around here so a bird always has to keep his guard up." Grey stepped to the crow a bit but not as to scare him off. "I have a task for you one that if you succede you will never have to worry about food for your family. I need you to go to ITT and find a lab wolf named Blue and deliver a messege for me." The crow hopped interested by the wolf's words cawing, "oh really and how can i trust you?" Grey sat and smiled, "my dear crow do you know what i am?" Still hopping about the crow replied, "no just a dog i figured." Grey leaped swiping the crow off the edge of the patio to the ground under a paw but instantly released him. "No my friend i am a wild wolf and if it were not for the fact that i need this messege taken to this one named Blue you would have been a snack for me as soon as you had landed. Now then tell this Blue I am Grey a wild wolf in the same program as him, i was once alpha male of a pack a few hours north of here but am now in the city in a test program. He is part of it too, i wish to know all he does about himself however i am betting that will be very little. Tell him it is ok to tell the humans that he got this messege and that it was from me. However i have a special task that i dont want the humans to know take a few of my hairs to him to smell and bring me some of his back. Once you return your family will not have to worry about food." Grey reached back plucking some of his hairs out then placing them upon the edge of the patio. The crow slowly moved to them grasping them and flying off into the horizon with the wild wolf watching from his own man made perch.

chapter 28 family

At the faciility Blue paced within his cell. He was a full blood wild wolf of 7 months however he had been taken away from his mother early on in the wild. Mostly raised by humans all he really knew was this concrete cell and that twise a day he was fed. That and periodicly maybe a doctor would walk past his cell monotoring his speaker making sure he had not said anything. As of yet he had said nothing to the humans, he was was named blue because of his stunning steel grey coat of fur. Humans tended to refer to this color in pure breed dogs as blue so the name stuck. He would spend his adolesent days padding back and forth in his cell looking out with blue eyes that scared some of the doctors. When he was a pup he never trusted them and even at a young age could not be trusted. With Blue it was almost as though he knew what he truly was even though he did not know.

Their cells were partially open to the air to give the wild animals some idea of natural sun light. Blue relished these moments as part of him deep inside told him this is where he belonged. One evening a tired crow landed on the edge of his outdoor cell watching the young wolf. "Are you the one they call Blue cause i have been searching through these cells for awhile now and i'm tired." A raspy tired voice came instantly back, "yea thats what they call me i'm Blue who wants to know?" The crow kept his perch not stupid enough to go closer feeling that this was a different wolf than the one he had spoken to before. "Look I was sent here by a wild wolf living in the city to deliver you a messege to the humans. His name is Grey and he was the first to break contact between humans and animals. He says you are supost to say i got Grey's messege and say "all is good." But there is another part to this, the one i have been holding in my beak." He droped the hairs as close to Blue as he felt comfortable doing then watched the young wolf examine. 'This part is between you and him i am to take some of your hairs to him if you will allow me. I mean yea i could use the food but it ain't worth getting eatten over ya know?"

Blue heard his words curious of all this since it had been the animal code not to speak to humans. But something seemed real in the crow's words. That and the fact he brought these hairs from so many miles away. Blue sniffed them thinking not much of them other than they were that of a wild wolf and were grey in color. "Oh this is the famous Grey isn't it, the one I have heard so much about." The crow circled above shaking his head, "honestly he seemed a bit nuts to me saying how I would never go hungry again and blah blah blah." Blue laughed at his words again sniffing the hairs and then nodding. "Ok I will do as this Grey asks if anything it is a change of pace for me." Pullung a few of his hairs he left them in a pile for the crow to gather as he turned to the cell door waiting for a doctor to pass.

A week later the crow returned to Grey tired from the many miles. Flopping the hairs down he cawed then saw a plate of fresh fruit and bread placed on the rail obviously for the crow. It was early morning and Grey had already been up waiting at the door as he had been every day since the crow left. "Sarah come please let me out i think the crow came back, i really think he did this time." Sarah rolled her eyes thinking that all this caged up stuff had driven him half insane but she always did as he said for she felt at some level it was comforting to him. She got up sliding into her slippers and fumbled her way to the door sliding it open letting Grey go outside. On the patio the crow was nowhere and Sarah growing tired of this growled but this day Grey stopped her. "No look he brought me back hairs from the wolf. i wanted them to see if i could find out where it was from. Excited Grey smelled them then bared his fangs instantly, and his hairs raised. Sarah had never seen such a reaction in him and tried to comfort him but he pulled away growling more. She could not understand what the trouble was and pressed him. "Grey please tell me what is the matter with these hairs? I have never seen you like this it scares me."

Grey's pupels were fully dialated as he looked to her fangs still fully bared. He said nothing sniffing the hairs again then howled in pain even though it was broad day light. "Do you really want to know why i am so bothered Sarah? Have you ever wondered why I hate humans so much even though the one I love is one? These hairs are from a wolf i know, one i know very well." She sat huttled in a corner a bit afraid of him but scooted closer to him, "who Grey please tell me." Snapping he pulled into the other corner more glaring, "your boss knew damn well who Blue was when he came up with this idea. Those hairs are from one of my young I had just sired before I was brought to this place." Totally enraged he lunged at Sarah full fanged. 'Fuck the program and your fucking tasks you find out how many of my pack are in this mess and release them now or else."
