Another installments of the new Greensville Misfits story. Enjoy!

It was finally Friday - the week had been eventful and exciting, and as Geoffrey had said, others had started attending the school as well - dozens more. And now, with school over for the week, everyone was on the bus eagerly planning for the weekend.

Aiira herself planned to simply relax over the weekend - her brother, however, had different plans for himself and his friends.

Their home was a modest, one-story building that was surprisingly long. The first room of the house was the living room, which connected to the dining room through one door, and then a hallway led to the bedrooms across from the entrance. From the dining room, there was only one door, and that led into the isolated kitchen. The hallway stretched on perhaps ten or twelve feet and then turned, meandering along at the back of the house for twenty or thirty feet. There were four bedrooms along the hallway, one for their parents, one for each of them, and one guest room, with a bathroom at the end of the hall.

The living room was a spacious affair, filled with a number of couches, chairs, a coffee table, and a television set. Its walls were painted a dark blue, matching the lighter, almost sky blue carpeting rather nicely. The dining room bore walls of dark green and carpets of white, with a neat arrangement of a table and chairs being the only furniture in the room. The kitchen had shiny black walls, with dark grey linoleum flooring and smooth granite countertops. Most of the various kitchen implements, including the toaster, microwave, stove, and refrigerator, were black as well - it was generally a darkened room. Each of the bedrooms was different - Aiira's parents had the largest room, with light grey carpets and rosy-pink walls, with a large red-covered bed and a few nightstands and dressers. The guest room was sparsely decorated, with bland white walls and carpeting, a dusty nightstand, and a dresser. Kern's room was next along in line - he had black walls with red carpeting, though said carpeting could rarely be seen through the piles of materials and clothes and such on the floor. He had a desktop computer on top of a battered old desk, with his similar bed - sparsely covered by blankets - crammed in the corner next to his dresser. Aiira's room was a chaotic affair - the floor was clean, but the walls were covered with a mix of things - posters for books, movies, and games mingled with photos of famous celebrities which mixed with hand-drawn pictures of various different ideas - mostly for fantasy stories. Aiira's bed was in essentially the same area as her brother's, but it was more heavily coated by quilts and such, and her dresser was stuffed into the opposite corner. She also had a desk, covered with yet more papers, sketchbooks, binders, pencils, pens, paintbrushes, jars, and all manner of artistic supplies, and she often kept her laptop there as well.

Aiira spent the rest of her day surfing the web and drawing, occasionally doing a bit of writing as well. It was, in general, an uneventful part of the day, and so she went to bed at about nine at night.

She woke up about an hour later, hearing noises - laughter, chatting, and other such things from the living room. She blinked, and stood up, still clad only in her short white nightshirt - that left her midriff uncovered - and black panties, and shuffled carefully out of her room to investigate the odd noises. She peered around the corner of the hallway, and she realised that the TV was on. She remembered suddenly that some of Kern's friends were staying over for the weekend while their parents were out - Thomas, a Mogram, Nikolai, an Illani, Geoffrey, a Phelgon, and then some of the newer students - Rorak, another Ashnavar, this one a male, with silky red fur, black ears, white paws, green eyes, and a permanent, friendly smile fixed on his long snout, Paul, an ever-grumpy Phelgon-Mogram hybrid with grey fur and blue eyes, and Vopold, a quiet, golden-scaled Drakonid with a tail longer than he was tall. Those were the ones he had been allowed to have stay.

They were all males, of course, which left Aiira as the only female in the household for the weekend, not that she considered this at the moment. No, all she wanted to do right now was find out what they were doing, what they were talking about, no doubt things that they would never dare to speak of around the females - who they had a crush on, who they liked, who they disliked, all of that kind of talk.

She stalked closer, her bare paws padding against the thick carpeting almost noiselessly - until she came across the old lump in the floor that had been there since they had moved in, and she tripped over it, making quite a thump as she fell onto her snout.

"Ow!" She yelped, crying out instinctively before she covered her muzzle with both paws, realising she had given herself away. She looked up to find all of the males staring at her as though she had grown a second snout.

"Sis, is that you?" Kern's voice.

"Uhm... Hi?" She waved meekly to the group.

"Come on, feel free to join us. We were just getting ready to switch movies." That sounded like Rorak, inviting her like that. Always so nice, always so friendly to everyone.

"Uh, sure?" Aiira stood up, making her way into the living room before she remembered what she was wearing and slid carefully behind one of the sofas. "I'll... just stay back here."

"Aw, come on, sis. Nobody's gonna laugh at you if you're in your pajamas. We all are." Just like he had said, they had all donned their nightclothes before they had started watching the movie - Kern himself wore a white t-shirt and shorts, Thomas just had on some briefs, Nikolai, ever stylish, had adopted a jacket and shorts, Geoffrey simply wore boxers, Rorak had donned a tank top and knee-length shorts, Paul had chosen an extremely long shirt, and Vopold had, almost disturbingly, found a large loincloth to wear.

"Are you sure..?"

"Yeah, I'm sure. It'll be fine!"

Still uncertain, Aiira edged out around the couch, leaping over it to try and find a seat - unfortunately, she hadn't thought the seat would be occupied, and she landed squarely on top of Paul, causing them both to yelp and Aiira to fall off again.

Chuckles and laughter erupted around the room at the ill-fated stunt, and Aiira blushed, straightening her nightshirt and finding an unoccupied space next to Rorak for her to sit in, and she noticed that his eyes widened at her garb, and he blushed for a moment before turning his attention back to the TV.

"Alright, so what kind of movie do you guys want to watch? We've got some comedies, horror movies, disaster movies, action movies... Anyone got any suggestions?"

"Ooh! Ooh! Comedy! Let's watch a comedy!" Thomas called out, Rorak nodding in support of this idea.

"No, no, no! I say horror. Best for a dark night like this!" This came from Paul, and got a quick word of agreement from Vopold.

"I'd say a... how do you say, action?" Nikolai offered this. "Something with much action, yes. These are the best of movies."

"Disaster movies usually have a lot of action in them," Geoffrey pointed out.

"Yeah, but so do horror movies!" Paul shot back.

"Uhm... maybe a romance?" Aiira suggested in a small voice, drawing incredulous looks from Nikolai, Paul, Vopold, and her brother.

Rorak, however, was quick to jump on the opportunity. "Oh, I know! How about a romantic comedy?" he asked, gaining nods of assent from Geoffrey and Thomas, and Aiira nodded as well, shrugging slightly.

"Well, we've got me, Nikolai and Paul in support of an action movie, and then Rorak, Geoffrey, Thomas, and Aiira going for a romantic comedy. What do you say, Kern?"

He hesitated, looking around. "Well," he began. "I'd honestly say a romantic comedy. Disaster movies always make me paranoid, and I don't think I'd manage to get the images of a horror or action movie out of my head in time to get any sleep!"

The small group of opposing supporters grumbled, but acquiesced to his announcement, and they found something that would fit the wants of almost all of those in the group. It had romance, it had comedy, and, of course, it had moments of action as well, which helped to soothe the doubters enough that they would accept the movie more easily.

Aiira partially curled up next to Rorak, her long fox's tail swishing about as she settled in, while all the others similarly made themselves comfortable in expectation of the movie. She noticed Kern cast a curious glance over at her, then at Rorak, before he simply smirked and looked back towards the television.

They watched movies until about midnight, whereupon they scattered, Aiira stumbling tiredly back to her room and promptly collapsing on her bed. She was asleep as soon as her head hit the pillow.
