Skullcrusher Island (Revised)

Story by Kodyax on SoFurry

Slightly edited with some revisions done because they were needed and others to bring the main character in line with how I have my persona now. I also changed the species of the villain because I decided I was not going to start putting in avians in my stories unless absolutely necessary. But I am uploaded this with the revised addendum for my own purposes. Plus you can see for yourself how I changed things. This version is probably going to be the start of a new series of a steam punk reality.

Professor Kodyax von Fenryx versus Doctor Vulgar Doomsday on Skullcrusher Island

Zeppelins with colored lights that look like icicles orbit a steel and glass fortified edifice held aloft by giant turbines high in the sky. A party is being held in the flying fortress where anthropomorphic animals dance in Victorian finery. Rusty robots serve drinks as android musicians provide automaton jazz.

A crimson furred wolf-bear hybrid in black leather armor looking like for all the world like some cross between a big game hunter and an army scout takes a cocktail zombie in a Tiki mug from one of the robot servers and sips it gently as he watches the crowd uneasily. His gray eyes scan the crowd for signs of trouble as he runs his red furred hand over his bald head for the not the first time tonight and sighs with some apprehension as he watches the proceedings with a dubious air. A gray raccoon in the uniform of a Prussian officer leads a pink haired cheetah lady in what could very well be considered a harem dancer outfit over in his general direction.

"Professor von Fenryx! " The raccoon calls.

"What is it Colonel Cooper?" Kodyax replies with a slight sneer. "Honestly I have no idea why you invite me to such frivolous events. My studies..."

"Can wait," Colonel Sylvester Cooper growls back. "Your reports back from the field have gotten quite incredulous as of late."

"What are you professor of anyway?" The lady cheetah inquires.

"The good professor has his Master's degree in the fields of biology and geography, my dear Sirocco," Colonel Cooper replies.

"With an introductory expertise in the practical application of biosphere theology," Kody adds with a smirk.

"You're a ranger?" Sirocco asks.

"Correct my dear," Kodyax says with a bow. "I have a Field Marshall's commission in the Imperial Army's Reconnaissance Division but I am considered an irregular at best."

"Yes, the Professor is quite the Knight Errant of the modern era," Colonel Cooper grumbles.

"Alright, Cooper," Kodyax growls, "I know the Nobility often does not have a clue as to who is who in the world but I doubt even they are clueless to have invited that creature to a function such as this."

"What do you...E Gods! Doctor Vulgar Doomsday!" Colonel Cooper exclaims as a n ash furred rat in a white leather coat with black leather pants can be see making his rounds as the raccoon and the cheetah girl look on in horror.

"Ah, Professor Kodyax von Fenryx!" Doctor Doomsday beams amicably. "It is so nice to finally meet you in person. I trust you are still hard at work cataloguing the worst of the abominations you come across in your travels before you fill them full of lead?"

"Oh yes, part of my research before I return to the university," Kodyax manages to state in forced geniality.

"You know, we are much a like, you and I," Doctor Doomsday preens. "We both pursue knowledge others have deigned forbidden."

"Doctor Doomsday!" A pink vixen with black tiger stripes in the attire of a proper Victorian aristocrat calls. "You are wanted in the observatory!"

"Thank you, my dear," Doctor Doomsday says with a bow and then looks at Kodyax, "I would like to discuss at length with you, some of the monstrosities you have found and killed, Field Marshall, but it would seem that must wait for some other time."

"Really, Aurora, I am appalled," Kodyax growls as the vixen joins them while the rat leaves their general vicinity and is out of earshot, "I expect better..."

"Not my decision, Kody," Lady Aurora admits as she kisses Kodyax on the cheek and then hides behind him as Doctor Doomsday turns to wink at her. "That damned rat gives me the creeps! Mother invited him to 'stir the pot' as she put it."

"The Empress has not quite grasped the difference between stirring the pot and poisoning the pot." Colonel Cooper states with a sigh. "I probably should keep an eye on him."

As soon as Colonel Cooper goes to keep an eye on Doctor Doomsday Sirocco gets on her knees.

"Sirocco!" Kodyax growls, as she paws at his crotch. "This is most unseemly; I know your 'training' has given you an overt fondness for special cream, but really?"

"You really need to relax, Kody," Sirocco coos. "I've seen some of your reports. Really? Monsters everywhere you go. The Colonel hasn't even displayed the more bizarre kills you've made."

"Those are just the ones that have survived the trip back to the museums," Aurora counters. "I've been with Professor Fenryx on some of his expeditions. Or rather, he has accompanied me on many of mine." She smirks at this and presses her bodice against his side. "Take it a face value when I tell you that what gets taxidermied and shipped are tame compared to some of the truly bizarre things we've encountered."

"The Colonel has problems with many of your accounts as well, Lady Aurora; he thinks them to be quite fanciful." Sirocco says with a smirk. "But he rarely goes into the field himself." Then the cheetah looks at her queerly. "Is there a place we can all discreetly play?"

"Mother has some private playgrounds, but we need to be discreet," Aurora says with a blushing smile.

Kodyax and Sirocco look at each other and wink before nodding to Aurora as a prelude to going below. Through a hidden passageway, they arrive at a steam powered dungeon with sex machines galore and whine of clockworks providing a constant drone. Officially Aurora outranks the other two as a princess of the realm but in times of carnal actions, Aurora more often defers to Kodyax as she has grown comfortable under his command.

All three of them get undressed as quickly as possible with Kody getting undressed in the most rapid fashion followed by Sirocco; Aurora in her finer is last so she has to watch as the cheetah lowers herself to lick and the lupursyn's scrotum as she gets off all her finery. Aurora is fondled as she undresses by Kodyax who manhandles her bosom much to the vixen's delight as she gives him a lusty look. The two females share a conspiratorial look as Sirocco suckles on Kody's emerging cock.

What none of the three are aware of is the clockwork eyeball on spider legs watching all of this discreetly and feeding the video discreetly to Doctor Doomsday. One of the lenses in the array that orbits his ocular nerve as part of what he has done to himself displays the scene for his pornographic gratification alone and he does his best to keep himself composed as he exalts his own clockwork creations before the Empress. For her part the Empress, a tigress of extreme advanced age but still seeming to be in her late thirties due to the crown of horns, two of which spiral out to either side of her head like those of a ram with a third spike not unlike that of a unicorn erupting from her forehead, which bespeaks of something special in her blood that has granted her a kind of immortality.

Her title is all she is known by now, a fact she is quite pleased about as she wields power around in numerous ways, both subtle and not. In fact the discomfort many have for the evil mad scientist calling himself Doctor Doomsday is something she is counting on to exert some subtle control on most of the gathered here tonight. However the absence of Aurora does not go unnoticed as she calls over Colonel Cooper to demand his knowledge of her whereabouts.

Colonel Cooper feigns ignorance as he relates that he left her in the company of the good professor and field marshal. The Empress both does and does not approve of her daughter's dalliance with the dashing adventurer that she has in her service in Kodyax but ultimately, she is secretly pleased with the matter as a dalliance with him furthers her own eugenics experiments with her own progeny. So while Colonel Cooper claims befuddlement at the current situation, the Empress herself is quite aware of what is going on and will be checking up on her wayward daughter as soon as possible as she only half listens to the boring diatribe of the bad doctor.

In the semi secret chamber, Aurora allows Kodyax and Sirocco to fit her to a bondage swing so he can facilitate the taking of her pussy; while she in turns eats out the cheetah as the kitty in turns has her rack nibbled on by the lupursyn as he drives his shaft deeper and deeper into the vixen's tunnel. All three more or less moan in tandem as each one enjoys the use of their bodies by the other two. However, along the way to climax a colorless, largely odorless gas is pumped into the chamber which causes all three of them to pass out.

Kodyax struggles to remain awake and regain his composure as Doomsday walks in and shoots Sirocco and smirks as he directs another automaton that looks like a cross between a lobster and an octopus to grab Aurora. The scientist gives the ranger a stern gaze as if to challenge him to stop him. With the cheetah bleeding out on the floor, there is no doubt in his mind that he can heal her or fight the golem and in his weakened state without weaponry, take on the clockwork construct is tantamount to suicide, so he goes to save the dervish even as the wicked wizard makes good his escape.

"What hit me?" Sirocco growls when she comes to.

"We were going out from something in the air supply," Kodyax states, "Then Doomsday came in, shot you and grabbed Aurora."

"Giving you two choices," Sirocco grumbles and shakes her head as she follows along all too easily, "Fight for her or save me."

"Yeah, but the real joke is on Doomsday," Kodyax says with a smirk that draws a look from the cheetah demanding an explanation which he is only too happy to provide: "I know where he keeps his lair. He forgot he gave me his coordinates because he wanted to discuss certain things with me."

"I'd be leery of any topics he'd want to discuss," Sirocco warns.

"I know that all too well," Kodyax says as he begins to get dressed. "I've read the reports he's had published. Disturbing only begins to describe them."

"Just being in his general vicinity gives me the creeps," Sirocco admits with a shudder then gives Kody a fading smile, "Do I even want to know what he has planned for our archaeologist princess?"

"Nothing good, I can tell you that," Kodyax says as he climbs a ladder to an arsenal of firearms and exotic weaponry.

"What is this?" Sirocco asks after she follows him.

"A weapons cache," Kodyax plainly explains. "One of many I have set up in various placed." He then starts grabbing weapons. "I have no idea what sort of menagerie Doomsday keeps on his secluded island lair."

"Are those Hellbringer revolvers?" Sirocco asks with wild eyed wonder and points to a pair of four chambered revolvers with a diamond shaped barrel. "I thought they were illegal."

"You need a special permit to carry and use them," Kodyax admits. "I have such a permit and these." He holds up the pistols, "Are special, I incorporated a new concept in the trigger mechanism. All my firearms have it: double action."

"Your infamous halberd-carbine I presume?" Sirocco inquires of another gun, this one a rifle with the same diamond barrel but with twin sword blades mounted horizontally in relation to the gun barrel with twin box magazines plugged in sideways to the main weapon, "Really, Kody, isn't this over kill?"

"Have you read my reports?!" Kodyax shoots back verbally as he makes sure the rifle is in perfect working order, both the blades, and the pump that aids in the cycling of rounds. "I've needed to use both the blades and the bullets this puppy fires. Which reminds, me, where are the special box magazines I made..." Then he grabs special red magazines as well as polka dotted magazines. "You never know when you'll need scatter or dragon rounds."

"Butterfly swords?" Sirocco giggles as she holds up a pair of cleaver like blades with wide guards that look like the letter "D" and are used by certain martial artists in our own world. "Really, Kody? I know you've been to the Dragon Empires numerous times..."

"Yes, Shirley," Kodyax jokes but draws a dark glance from the cat. "I have to have some weapon for in close combat." She just continues to glare at him. "Plus they can be better than a machete at clearing a path."

"You really try to get the most utility out of a given piece of equipment don't you?" Sirocco asks incredulously.

"How else do you think I've survived as long as I have?" Kodyax asks factiously.

"But what if you need a blunt weapon?" Sirocco asks to which the guard is shoved in her face. "I got you; the guard doubles as a cestus."

"There you are!" Colonel Cooper thunders as he walks in on him with definite purpose as he glares at Kodyax. "I need to have a word with you."

"Let me guess," Kodyax grumbles in Cooper's general direction, "Princess Aurora has been kidnapped and you want to pick my brain or something along those lines?"

"Quite," Colonel Cooper says with a glare. "What do you know?"

"A gentleman does not kiss and tell," Kodyax returns and the realization of what he is saying scandalizes the raccoon. "Would you like to facilitate her rescue?"

"You have to ask?" Cooper inquires mockingly with a smirk.

"Is there an airship ready to leave?" Kodyax asks point blank. "I have an idea on where he's taking her."

"And who is this he for whom you speak?" Cooper asks in all seriousness.

"Doctor Doomsday is no longer with us is he not?" Kodyax inquires.

"Thank the Gods, yes," Cooper exclaims then realizes what Kody is really asking. "That bastard has the Princess!?!"

"He does get it eventually," Sirocco observes wryly.

"Oh, hush, for a career military man he is actually quite quick on the uptake," Kodyax teases.

"I'll have the Sun Raider make accommodations for you to join her crew," Cooper says slyly. "I understand Captain Natasha Badenuva is quite anxious to have you sail with her again."

"Be careful what you wish for, Colonel," Kodyax warns sternly, "Your intelligence on the situation may not be as complete as you might think."

"Is that a veiled threat, Field Marshal?" Cooper inquires darkly.

"Take it as you like," Kody counters with a dismissive tone. "You're the one playing cards at the moment."

"You're mixing you metaphors, again, Professor," Cooper challenges.

"If that makes you feel better about yourself," Kodyax says coolly, "Go right on believing you have all the facts."

"I will make the arrangements then," Cooper says before he gives a curt salute and marches from the room.

"What was that all about?" Sirocco asks when the coon is out of earshot.

"The good Colonel has the authoritative notion that Natasha and I are currently at odds with one another," Kodyax reveals as he waits for the appearance of a rather stern looking hippo who salutes him with a grin.

"SIR!" The hippo states at full volume in a decidedly British accent. "I have been dispatched to fetch you for the Captain."

"Thank you, Goomjub," Kodyax says with great politeness and reverence. "I am already accoutered for the journey," then he turns to Sirocco dressed in Arabian styled garb complete with twin scimitars. "Coming, Sirocco?"

"I'm ready and willing to go chase that buzzard," Sirocco growls.

"Lead the way, my good man," Kodyax orders.

"This way if you please, sir, madam," Goomjub says with great respect for Kodyax.

"By the way," Kodyax inquires, "How is the little nipper?"

"Doing quite well, sir," Goomjub says with pride. "A right rapscallion he is, when the time comes he will be quite able to follow in his father's footsteps."

"Good to hear, good to hear," Kodyax replies with pride.

"Kody, what are you two talking about?" Sirocco asks in a tone that says she will accept nothing better than the whole truth.

"Would you like to inform the young lady cat or should I, sir?" Goomjub asks in all serious with a smirk on his muzzle.

"You may if you wish, Goomjub," Kodyax states as he shares the same smirk as the hippo.

"You honor me, Sir!" Goomjub beams. "The good Captain has availed herself of a puppy sired by the good Professor. The boy is something of a matter of pride among the crew."

"Why do I get the feeling the boy child takes after his father?" Sirocco says with a smirk on her muzzle as they pass through the corridors to the airship.

"Quite, ma'am," Goomjub says with the kind of pride one usually reserves for one's own progeny. "He can stalk vermin and eliminate them better than the cat-snakes we keep on board."

Aboard the Sun Raider, a privateer zeppelin in the service of her majesty the Empress, Kodyax gets quite the reception. Captain Romanuv is a folf herself and gives Kody a kiss as her son looks to be plotting mischief until his father gives him a stern look. Beowulf knows better than to antagonize his own father as he is one of the few people that will dare to just grab his tail for a proper spanking as well as is his right as the boy sire.

Natasha smirks and smacks her son's backside as she orders the ship to depart. In one of the watch towers Colonel Cooper watches and sees the he read his intelligence wrong and it's then he glares at the Professor as he smashes his spyglass on the floor. Once again Kodyax has made a fool of him and the worst part it was all his own supposition.

The Sun Raider makes its way towards an island chain on what is known as the Sea of Devils the main landmass is shaped like a human skull with a mountainous hill in the same form which is known to mariners and air men alike as Skullcrusher Island. The crew shakes their heads and many make signs to ward away the evil eye as the Sun Raider descends. Bolts of lightning arc out from the eyes of the hill and rake the hull of the Sun Raider.

Captain Romanuv is forced to stop short of landing as the lightning shorted out their navigation equipment making putting the ship extremely problematic. Unphased by this proposition, Kodyax takes out a glider and takes off for the island proper. Beowulf calls out for his father and runs to join him in jumping off the ship when his mother restrains him.

The child does not understand that his father has a job to do and cries long and loud for him to come back as Sirocco's heart starts to break seeing the drama as a bit of guilt pours in knowing what she wants to do with Kodyax herself and how much this pup is failing to understand what is going on. Natasha does her best to console her child even as she silently wishes his father good hunting even as a part of her curses the very existence of the princess that got them into this situation.

In the dungeons of Skullcrusher Island Aurora is completely naked and hanging from the ceiling by her wrists and ankles. Around here are several machines designed to stimulate her with both pleasure and pain. Doctor Doomsday is sitting above her observing her reactions to the various machines.

Vulgar Doomsday designed this chamber strictly for his own amusement as fake phallus pistons in and almost out of Aurora's camel toe as he feels his own front in a kind of sick satisfaction. Whip machines slam a cat-o'-nine-tails on here breasts at great overall speeds which causes here much pain. Paddle machines slap her rear as she does her best to contort away to little avail as the bad doctor just licks his beak lustfully.

As it turns out, the defenses for the fortress are largely automated with automaton guards with various armaments patrolling the grounds and in those areas that are not patrolled monsters that can survive long periods between meals lurk as penned in by Doomsday's design. Kodyax is a greater expert in the ascertaining the order of these threats from his various hunts and he can instantly recognize them before they can fully become aware of his presence. It may boggle the minds of some but Kodyax's efforts at being stealthy actually pay off as he able to explore the castle without being perceived, much to Sirocco's chagrin as she is not quite as successful as her much larger canine counterpart.

It eventually gets back to Vulgar Doomsday that there is an intruder in the castle and while he is annoyed at the interruption, he merely orders the intruder captured and brought to him as he prepares another station besides Aurora to receive him or her. Sirocco is a lot of things but stupid is not one of them as she uses her speed to try and keep out of the clutches of the defenders by simply being too fast to capture. Much to her annoyance, the efforts of the mechanical sentries to obtain her physicality for their master gives Kodyax a distraction and allows him to move about with greater impunity.

Sensors get shot out where Kodyax can perceive them and these black out areas serve to further annoy the bad doctor although eventually he does catch on that there is probably more than the one visitor that he is aware of from the reports of his guards. Eventually he is so intrigued by what could be going on that he suspends his play with Aurora and summons crystal screens to try and ascertain the full gravity of the situation. A sensor is shot where there is nobody and should be nobody around.

The guardian at the gate to staircase leading down to the dungeons is a coiled cobra made of steel whose senses Vulgar can see through. Bullets usually just bounce off its metal skin unless they are specially made to pierce the armor of the construct, a skill set and knowledge base most are not aware of. Although there is another flaw he had not thought of but Kodyax is well aware of having studied blueprints of this type of automaton which is actually a standard type as he tosses a grenade into its mouth.

Vulgar finds the destruction of one of his favorite pets alarming but upon seeing that Sirocco is whom his guards is chasing makes the logical leap; he that the other intruder is Professor von Fenryx. However, he is unaware that the good Professor is actually closes than his own estimation as he goes to a public address system he had built for just such an emergency. Looking up, Aurora can see Kodyax sneaking up on Vulgar as the vulture prepares to taunt his foe.

"Greetings, my good Professor!" Vulgar says into the microphone. "Setting the cheetah as decoy was an amusing proposition but it showed your hand." He pauses to smirk before continuing to monologue. "However, you should have known your feeble attempts to infiltrate my laboratory were doomed to failure." Again he pauses to give himself as self-satisfied smirk before trying to play a head game with Kodyax as the wolf-bear brings his revolver to bear. "I can kill the Princess at my leisure now. Surrender to my creations and you will buy her a few moments yet to live." He looks over at Aurora who has her own self-satisfied smirk which disturbs him for a moment before panic sets in as he realizes the situation. "He's right behind me isn't he?"

"Why, yes, yes I am!" Kodyax announces before pulling the trigger of his gun as Aurora just nods darkly.

"Ouch!" Vulgar yelps as the bullet catches him in the left shoulder. "You won't escape here without me!"

"That remains to be seen," Kodyax says sternly. "You arrived here by airship or submarine?"

"Submarine," Vulgar says with a smirk as he reaches for his own derringer.

"I can pilot that if I have to," Kodyax says as he takes aim and fires again and caps Doomsday's right knee. "I'm sure what you're reaching for, Doomsday but it won't do you any good."

Vulgar coughs up blood with a baleful glare at his executioner. "I can set this whole island to blow!"

"I'm sure you can, and I think I might actually prefer that," Kodyax says honestly as he takes aim again. "Especially with some of the things you have conjured into existence and penned in like so much charnel chattel."

"That's a Hellbringer is it not?" Vulgar asks with a sinister smile. "You only have four bullets per gun in that weapon. And you've already pumped two bullets into me. My own self-experiments are already repairing the damages you have visited upon me. Choose your next two shots carefully, Fenryx."

"I'd aim for you heart," Kodyax quips, "But you don't really have one do you?"

"I have something better in its place," Vulgar boasts and opens up his lab coat to reveal a device that should not exist in this or any other realm of reality.

"You fool!" Kodyax yells. "You had to have made some sort of pact with the forces of chaos to receive a device like that!" Then he smirks. "But it's also very prone to malfunction and exceptionally fragile."

"You're not that cruel!" Vulgar begs at full volume. "I have information I can pass on!"

"You have nothing I would be interested in hearing Doomsday," Kodyax growls as he puts a bullet in the contraption that destroys it instantly. "Or that I don't already know. Or have you not actually read my collected book of reports?"

"Damn you, Fenryx!" Vulgar gripes at full volume. "Damn you to hell!"

Vulgar Doomsday collapses to the floor as Kodyax frees Aurora. Sirocco gets down to their position as the fortress starts to shake and collapse. Kodyax orders Sirocco to follow him and since there is no time to argue so she just obeys.

The submarine in question is plated in gold as Kodyax just rolls his eyes at the hubris of Doctor Doomsday. The three of them pile in and somehow Aurora has absconded with Doomsday's notes which helps them figure out how to operate the sleek, shark shaped ship. They submerge and exit the hidden tunnel that is the only way in or out of the sub pen just as said tunnel is collapsing but with skillful navigation they manage to get out just in the nick of time and get picked up by the Sun Raider soon after to sail home in relative luxury as Aurora shows her gratitude all throughout the trip home with Natasha's help.
