When the sun arose over the land the next day, the air was filled with the aftermath of last night's storm. The ground was waterlogged, a few of the younger trees fell from the ferocity of the winds and some were devastated by the bolts of lightning. But all was calm.

Inside the house, both Tanya and Cosmo lay asleep, the blanket the only thing covering them as they lay together, after the storm they created through the fire of their passion. Neither of them stirred until the sun was reaching its peak.

Tanya was the first to wake, slowly opening her eyes to see she lay atop Cosmo, her head laying just at his heart. She stayed there for a while, listening to its calm beating. Trying to not wake him up, she slowly lifted her head and shifted her torso, while carefully pushing up so she could sit up on the bed, moving her long, luscious red tail into more comfortable position.

Looking out the window, Tanya saw all the damage there was and how much water was still on the ground. They wouldn't be able to leave the house but that was fine. There was nothing that needed doing and nobody in the village would be worried about her, they knew she stays at Cosmo's every now and again to help him. This gave her freedom to think of what they could do while inside. Spending the whole day in bed was an idea, but she decided she wanted to do something...more...something more special.

As she continued to ponder what to do, Cosmo slowly woke up from his slumber. Feeling the soft material underneath him he knew he was on the bed...And the slight weight next to him must be Tanya. Letting out a slow and loud yawn, Cosmo slowly pushed himself up and shifted his white tail out of the way so he could sit without hurting it.

"Morning Cosmo" Tanya said happily, putting her hand over his while they sat together in bed, the blanket covering nothing but their lower bodies now.

"Morning to you too" Cosmo replied, his voice still a little sleepy "How long have you been awake for?"

"Not that long" Tanya said, through a yawn of her own "Just been doing a little thinking, the ground outside is bad so..." Moving her paw onto Cosmo's.

"So..." Cosmo replied, with a knowing smile

"Looks like we got the day to ourselves inside" Tanya sporting her own smile now.

"Hmmm, we could stay in bed a little longer...or we could enjoy a day together" Cosmo suggested, the grin still all over his face.

"Both sound so tempting but....Let's go for spending a day indoors together" Tanya replied.

The pair's grins grew even bigger as they got out of the bed and got dressed, both being really playful. Tanya was moving Cosmo's breeches out of his way just as he was getting close to them, and he retaliated with tickling her whenever he got close to her. Sometimes in places that delayed getting dressed even longer.

The sun reached its zenith in the sky before the pair had finished their antics. By now Tanya was blushing a bright red and Cosmo was stifling a lot of giggles. The pair made their way, arm in arm, to the kitchen where Tanya suggested she'd make them some breakfast. Tanya lead Cosmo to a chair by his small table and then went over to the pantry.

"So, what would my fox like?" Tanya suggested, smiling because she knew he was hers as she was his.

"Well, I would like more of my delightful vixen but I guess some of the leftover meat will suffice." Cosmo absolutely grinning by this point, he was enjoying teasing Tanya and he knew she was having a good laugh too.

"Well, if we went for the first one, we wouldn't eat at all today" Tanya said through giggles "Hmmm, there's a bit of chicken and pork left. Which would you like?"

"Surprise me" Cosmo said while his grin was stuck to his muzzle.

Tanya took some pork, bread and a few other items from the pantry before going over to a counter specially made for when Cosmo wanted to make his own food, all the knives were carefully laid out in an order so he wouldn't grab the wrong knife by mistake. Tanya remembered when he nearly cut himself when he was trying to get used to the order, she was glad he didn't have any more mishaps afterwards. She set the bread down on one of the various raised boards and cut a few nice thick slices before swapping knives and adding a thin layer of butter to the bread.

"Would my foxy like his meat cut thick or thin?" Tanya suggested while checking the pork to make sure it still smelled and tasted okay.

"I'll go with my vixen's choice, but knowing her, she likes her meat thick and juicy" Cosmo burst into laughter and Tanya was glowing red again while she was preparing the breakfast for the pair.

Tanya brought the food to the table and they both ate heartily while teasing each other some more. After they finished and Tanya had moved the plates over to the wash bowl, she returned to the table and sat down in Cosmo's, wrapping her arms around his neck and planting a small kiss on the side of his muzzle.

"Mornings will never be boring again" Cosmo said happily as he pecked at Tanya's muzzle.

Tanya giggled a little before kissing Cosmo on the lips this time, and replying "They sure won't, so what's say we make something good of the day before daylight fades?"

"I like that idea" Cosmo eagerly replied "What do you have in mind?"

"Well~ how about we start off by you giving me a backrub and going from there?" Tanya suggested, blushing a little as her mind went to the deep south.

"If it so pleases you Mi'Lady" Cosmo said whilst putting on an accent that would pass for a nobleman.

Tanya went into a fit of giggles before standing up and taking Cosmo's hand in hers, leading the both of them to the coach in the main room. She gently pushed Cosmo into the seat before laying down, with her back across his legs for easy access.

Cosmo slowly felt around her back before moving his hand in slight motions near the top and base of her back. Slow motions with slight pressure and Tanya was already beginning to relax, she was in the capable hands of her best friend, lover and holder of her heart. She left out a few soft quiet purrs which made Cosmo smile, this was telling him he was doing a good job and Tanya was relaxing.

This back rub continued for a while, the sun was making it's slow descent and was almost back, below the land. Tanya fell asleep a little while after the back rub, Cosmo only continued because he enjoyed the experience and he loved the feel of Tanya's soft fur. Cosmo slowly stopped with his back rub and leant back, carefully seating his arms on the back of the coach when he located it. His mind was abuzz with what has happened over the past few days. He managed to leave his house, he's in love with a beautiful vixen who was quite happily napping over his legs. He thought about why he didn't try to be closer with her before, but the only answer his mind gave him, was that the time wasn't right. Things now are great, and will only keep getting better. Wherever the beings of Love and Fate resided, they cast a moment's gaze on these two and guided them. Cosmo simply smiled and let his head roll back, steady breathing and a calm mind soon drifted him off to the land of dreams.

The sun had long finished its descent and the moon was taking its place up in the sky, casting its' own light down on the land. Of the pair, Tanya woke up first, blinking slowly and having a little stretch before she looked out of the window to see it was fairly dark outside.

"I must've fallen asleep for a long time" She said quietly to herself.

Tanya tilted her head to look at Cosmo, his slow moving chest and no response to her movement told her that he too was asleep. She thought over what to do before her stomach had its' own input into the matter. The low, quiet rumble told her what she needed to do. Slowly, she moved backwards, taking care not to startle Cosmo. It was only when she was sat upright on the coach that she quietly called Cosmo's name, shaking his shoulder gently.

"Cosmo....Cosmo...." Tanya called quietly

Cosmo slowly came around from his sleep and moved his head forward, letting out a little yawn before asking "How long were we asleep for?" Another yawn escaped his lips.

"Well, the moon is on the rise so I would say quite long." Tanya said a little sheepishly before her stomach had another bout of 'input'.

"Sounds like someone is hungry" Cosmo said through laughing, although his stomach chirped in not a moment later "Let's go eat."

Tanya took a hold of Cosmo's hand and together they walked back to the kitchen, Cosmo finding his seat while Tanya got the various items ready to make a light stew. She grabbed the chicken and various spices from the pantry, along with a handful of other items. It wasn't long before a cooking fire got started and Tanya was keeping a careful eye over the pot.

Cosmo's nose perked up soon after she started, the food already started to smell delicious. From what he could tell, Tanya was making a spiced chicken stew for the both of them. Something hearty to fill them up and keep them warm. Cosmo suddenly remembered that there wasn't a fire going so the house would get cold soon. He slowly got up and got his bearings before heading to the door.

"I'm just going to get a fire going, I'll be right back" Cosmo said before making his way to the main room. He used his sharp sense of smell to pick out where the burnt out fire was, taking extra care here, he knelt down and gently pressed a finger tip around the fire to see how many logs were left, counting only 3, he reached to the side and picked out a few more. Placing them into the fire and added a small amount of straw into the mix, he reached for the matches used to start the fire. This is where Cosmo took extra care, studying the box to find the strike side before opening it and inspecting a match. Without the ability to see he decided to use his sense of touch to gauge the size of the match, the distance from the fire and the tip. Using all these, he carefully position the match and box above the straw, struck the match and heard the familiar sound of it igniting, before dropping it into the straw and moving his hands away.

"That, was fairly easy" Cosmo said to himself with a smile. Maybe in the future, he will be able to do it a little faster. With the fire going, he stood up and made his way back to the kitchen, where Tanya was just finishing off the stew and pouring it into two small wooden bowls. Once done, she took the first bowl to the table and placed it in front of Cosmo, leaving the spoon facing his right hand.

"Here you go, the spoon is on the right hand side." Tanya said whilst going to fetch her own bowl.

Once she had placed her bowl and seated herself next to Cosmo, they both began to eat. After the first mouthful Cosmo was absolutely loving the food, it smelled so good and tasted even better.

"Your stews are absolutely delicious Tanya" Cosmo said while moving his head to 'look' at her.

"I used the last of the chicken and added some spices, this is fairly simply compared to the other stews I've made you before" Tanya replied happily, the compliment from Cosmo making her blush slightly.

"Well, now that you'll be here all the time. I guess I can look forward to more of this delicious food." Cosmo said, laughing at the last bit.

Tanya simply smiled and turned to kiss Cosmo gently on his lips. Nothing more needed to be said, they both ate and enjoyed the stew, once finished, Tanya took the bowls to the wash pot and made a mental note to clean them up tomorrow.

"Let's head to bed shall we?" Tanya suggested, taking a hold of Cosmo's hand.

"A chance to sleep with such a great vixen, I would be an idiot to pass up this offer" Cosmo happily replied, standing up and letting Tanya lead the way.

Both Tanya and Cosmo went to the bedroom, where they both undressed and cuddled up in the bed. The warmth of the fire spreading throughout the house, they both soon fell asleep in their lovers embrace.
