**Auther note** This is the start of the story, you won't find any yiffy scenes as this is the lead up to it, you will find some nudity though. The following chapters are much more yiffy if you don't care as much about the backstory :) Enjoy

Part 1, A secret exposed

A score of the swiftest squirrel warriors had been dispatched to track down a thief. Traveling lightly, they set a very fast pace for themselves. The warriors were determined to catch-up to the thief and recover their stolen relic. Following the bandits trail took them far out of their homeland forest and into unfamiliar flat lands. Losing the cover of trees made the squirrels nervous, as they knew their natural defenses was gone and they were wide open. Despite the risks each was willing to take them in order to recover their precious cultural treasure.
As the sun rose on the fifth day the band of 20 caught sight of their foe. Not far across the plain was a lone figure, a thief fox dawned in black. Not used to being pursued so far he had began to tire and slow up. Now with no where to hide and in plain view the squirrels moved in for the kill.
As they quickly closed the distance they were also approaching a wide river. "We must catch him before he makes it across the river." The commander spoke, for he knew none of them could swim. Everyone doubled their effort to the point of exhaustion. They closed the remaining distance quickly.
Realizing the band of angry squirrels were right on his tail the fox pushed himself to the limit, he had reached the steep incline that lead down to the river. In desperation he leapt over the rocky embankment and rolled as he it the sand below. Nill the toughest of the squirrels was right on his heels. Nill also leapt recklessly over the edge after the fox.
The rest of the band took the extra moment to safely climb down the ledge, as they watched Nill disappear around a rocky bend after the fox. Nill had stumped his foot paw as he landed which cost him some distance as he limped for a few steps. The fox had rounded the bend out of view first but Nill was determined to catch him.
Following the fox's paw prints in the sand Nill rounded the corner out of view of his comrades. As he came around the rocky wall he could see the fox standing on the shore, but he was not alone. Nill slowed his pace as he drew his sword quietly. He watched the fox standing before a group of other creatures. His first thought was they must be accomplishes, but he soon noticed something strange. The other creatures standing around were all females.
Before Nill could decide on a further course of action, the large ferret that was standing across from the fox snatched the thief by the throat and hoisted him off the ground. Maybe they weren't in cahoots after all, Nill thought. He continued to watch the armored ferret girl strangle the fox as he failed his arms wilding trying to free himself. During the struggle Nill watched as a carefully tethered velvet bag was tossed from the foxes grip. He knew the item he was after was in that bag.
Nill was about to step forward and announce himself as a friend when suddenly a small mouse maid moved up alongside the struggling fox and without a word ran a spear through his side. Nill froze, considering this new development. He wondered just how far they had traveled, thoughts of rumored amazons here immediately filled his mind. Looking around at the other females in the group he realized they were all armed to the teeth. Altogether there were about 30 of the female warriors grouped about. After accessing the new danger he slowly backed away, prepared to tell his friends. As he turned to leave shouts of his warrior friends rang through the air as they rounded the bend.
Looking in Nill's direction the large ferret tossed aside the lifeless fox. Nill locked eyes with the deadly female; he saw her sneer as she pointed a claw tip at him. He knew this was trouble. Hearing his comrades coming closer he stood his ground as the group of amazons ran toward him. He lifted his sword preparing himself, but to his dismay he realized just how fatigued he was. As he prepared himself the first of his allies came around the rock wall.
Talli was Nill's closest friend, and even though he was much smaller in stature then his perfectly built friend he was no less trained and agile. As he rounded the corner he saw his friend standing ready in an attack pose, confused at first he opened his mouth to ask what was going on. But as Talli finished turning his head he saw the group of warrior maidens running towards them. Cursing he draw his sword quickly and took his place next to his friend.
"Bout time you guys arrived." Nill commented.
"Why are they attacking?" Talli asked between breaths.
"I think they're amazons, they killed our thief." Nill replied as more of their friends rounded the corner to join their rank. The rushing group of amazons slowed up their pace as the squirrels ranks filled. The squirrel commander stepped forward, he was the most seasoned veteran who had faith in his fighters but he was very worried as he watched the slowly approaching enemy. His warriors were very tried from a five day forced march and they were slightly outnumber and out armored. But he still had hope. Being a warrior of the old days he began to grin with confidence as he realized they were facing all women.
"Take them down, we must recover our relic." He spoke as the female warriors were upon them. Without another word the two groups clashed.
Right off many of the squirrel warriors fell, finding themselves too fatigued to complete with their fresh foes. They also found the amazons were no less trained in battled then themselves. The remaining squirrels soon found themselves encircled by their foes. Standing back to back the squirrels prepared for the worst.
Looking around fearful Talli observed his fallen comrades laying about the beach; he realized many of them were still alive. Just beyond the battle he spotted the velvet bag. "If we can break through somewhere we can still get the relic." He said thinking aloud.
"I don't think that's a good idea." Nill replied as he swatted away a spear thrust.
"If we don't get it everyone's lives will be in vein." Talli said as he made a daring rush toward their foes.
"Wait!" Nill cried concerned for his friend, but he was to late. Talli rushed headlong into the enemy. Picking a target he judged as easiest, he rushed strait toward a smaller mouse fighter, using his momentum as a tactic and body as the weapon he slammed into the smaller creature blowing her over. In a moment of victory he had a clear view of the bag laying put a few paces away. In a split second the bag vanished from his view as something large and black filled his view. The large black female ferret had stepped to block Talli's path as he ran head long. In a fast motion the ferret swung her outstretched arm striking the squirrel in the head.
Talli felt the word jump, his vision blurred bright white, he felt his body falling but never felt an impact. The bright light quickly faded into black as he passed out. Seeing his friend fall, Nill roared loudly as he broke through the amazon ranks, the remaining squirrel warriors all of whom looked up to Nill followed his move. Nill breaking free reached the ferret kicking her in the back knocking her to the ground. As he raised his sword to finish her off he was stuck in the back of the head with the spear but.
The small mouse warrior felt the sting in her paws as her spear butt cracked over the squirrels head. Nills body went limb instantly and fell to the ground next to his friend.
With the commander dead and their idle stuck down the rest of the squirrel fighters stopped. The fight was over and they had lost, they lowered their weapons prepared to accept their fate.
Talli awoke in a strange location. As his eyes opened he found himself staring up at a wood beams that crisscrossed above him. He could tell he was lying on his back and against something soft and warm. The light in the room was dim but Talli could tell others were around him.
"You awake?" A familiar voice said from above him. Talli let his eyes focus on his friends face.
"Nill." He spoke finding his throat horse. "What's?" He started to say.
"We're being held captive and all crammed into this little room." Nill replied as he tried to sound cheerful.
"So is that why I'm lying in your lap?" Talli asked as he realized the warm touch he was feeling was his friend.
"Sure that's why." Nill replied. "The others are all right; well there are only 15 of us now." He said answering Talli's question before he even asked. Talli remained quite for a moment taking in the thought that five of their comrades were now dead.
"What are you thinking kid?" Nill asked looking down at his friend.
"Don't call me that." Talli said. "I'm like a year younger then you." Nill laughed.
"Then get off me." He said as he pushed his friend over and onto the hard floor. Talli hit the cold floor with a thud.
"If I had known it was such a hard floor, I wouldn't have objected." He commented as he sat up. Talli looked around the dimm room at the familiar faces of his friends. Most where sitting quietly in despair. Still feeling a glimmer of hope Talli began to maneuver himself around the room attempting to cheer each of up.
Nill watched his friend go to work trying to improve the morale in this hopeless situation. His friend had always had a knack at cheering everyone up when times were tough. Talli had always been very approachable to everyone, he was the guy everyone liked. As Nill watched he couldn't help as his mind kept wondering back to the severity of the situation. From what he knew about the Amazonians he feared for them all. He knew they were a ruthless band of barbarians composed of completely female furs who not only despised males, but killed them. All the stories he had heard about them all ended with, 'they don't take prisoners'. Now sitting in a cramped cell being held prisoner was the only part that stumped him. Unless it was just a holding cell while they awaited their execution, no matter what things were very grim.
A few minuets later a sound of movement and whispering voices could be heard outside the sturdy cell door. The captives inside all sat deathly still as locks on the door began to clank. Talli made his way back over to Nill and quietly sat down. He still had a smile on his face, but behind it Nill could sense the worry and despair growing in his friend.
"Whatever happens, we die as squirrel brothers." Nill spoke proudly.
The door was forcefully pulled open and a bright light filled the small room. The squirrels inside had to avert their eyes for a moment before they adjusted to the suns light. With their eyes back in focus the captives watched as the large black ferret stood in the doorway, in her paw she held a bright white cane. Without a word she beckoned the prisoners out of the cell waving the cane.
"Line up, everyone out." A white mouse spoke from behind the ferret. The defeated furs hung their heads as they shuffled their way outside. Lined up single file they walked in the open morning air. Talli felt the refreshing air blowing through his fur; it was nice to be back outside he thought.
The squirrel band was marched slowly through the Amazon village to the town center where a wooden planks had been place along the ground forming a stage a few inches off the ground. As they arrived a rough looking female rat stood dressed in black garments. She held a long staff that had a forked end. Standing before the prisoners she herded them in pairs onto the stage, making them form three lines. The squirrel's spread out and stood shoulder to shoulder as if in line for a military inspection. Out of habit they all stood up strait and posed as they had been trained to do.
Once they were all lined up a group of amazon's approached and circled the stage. In the front row of the crowed stood the black ferret, white mouse and a few others dressed in much finer outfits. They were obviously the ones in charge Nill noted in his mind, if something were too happened and he had the chance he knew who to go for first.
As they stood in place they remained silent, the captives begun to feel themselves becoming very nervous. Once their strait postures began to slump and they began to look around fearful the cloaked rat spoke.
"You slobs undress now!" she shouted cracking her stack against the wood floor. Startled half the warriors quickly removed their over shirts dropping them aside. The rest followed suit quickly after. "All your clothes." The rat snared. Hesitating for a moment the prisoners looked at each other. With an angry grunt the rat swung her staff striking one of the squirrels in the leg. "Now!" Without another moments hesitation all the squirrels slowly removed their pants and undergarments exposing themselves fully. All accept one, who was standing in the far back of the line. "Are you deaf?" the rat scolded as she marched across the stage. "Is he deaf?" she said angrily as she struck another squirrel as she passed.
"No." Talli said quietly still holding his pants up.
"Then why are you still dressed?" The rat spoke as she slammed her staff down on the ground.
"I would really rather not." Talli said seriously.
"Would you rather I stick these prongs in your eyes?" the rat said curly as she waved the forked end of the staff in Talli's face.
"Just take off your clothes." Nil said standing in front of Talli. "It's not worse than being beaten or killed."
"For you maybe." Talli spoke to himself quietly as he slowly began to lower his pants. All the prisoners had turned their attention to him.
"Heads forward!" the rat commanded as she prodded Nill forcefully with her staff. All eyes returned strait forward.
"Thanks." Talli whispered to the rat.
"That wasn't for you." The rat sneered as she prodded Talli in the ribs. As his pants dropped exposing his privet region Talli felt so nervous he felt sick. His body was beginning to shake.
With a nod from a vixen dawned in purple garment, the rat began to move through the lines of captives moving her staff up and down their bodies.
"See it's not so bad, you look fine." Nill said chancing a glace back at his friend.
"Well I'm not fine." Mutter Talli. "What is she doing now?"
"Looks like we're being inspected." Nill whispered.
"For what?" Talli asked. Nill didn't reply he just gestured toward the crowd gathered around with his head. For the first time Talli took a moment to look out at the many beautiful female faces that watched them. Among them there were quite a few squirrel maids.
"What?" Talli said in disbelief.
"It's the only way they can get more amazons." Nill said. "They're probably picking out the best of us for."
"The best." Talli interrupted sounding worried. His smaller physic was far from what anyone would consider the best.
"Don't kid yourself, you look good." Nill said trying to reassure his friend.
"Quite!" the rat snapped as she prodded Nill. Slowly she moved her staff across his body; it didn't take much to see his muscles through his fur. He was an example of a strong virile male. Unable to help himself he held his breath and puffed out his chest. He couldn't help but grin as he saw the reaction of the females in the crowd. They may hate males but he knew he reminded them all of their natural attraction.
Talli watched the rat hag inspecting his friend in front of him; he began to feel extremely nervous once more as she turned her attention to him. Closing his eyes he hoped it would be over quickly.
Talli felt the wooden stick gently gliding around his arms and legs, unlike his friend no one was able to see his muscles through his fur. Finally the stick traveled down to his groin. The rat skillfully used the forked tip to part through the squirrel testicles, moving them aside, suddenly she let out a gasp at what she saw. Quickly withdrawing her staff she began to retreat away toward the Purple robed fox and her enclave. Talli hoped she had not noticed, but he knew she had. He also realized he had heard someone else gasp as well.
"Heads forward!" cried the rat as she scurried over to the fox. All heads remained forward. Opening his eyes Talli looked as his friend standing in front of him. His mouth opened as if to say something but he could not find the words.
"Just one thing." Nill whispered keeping his head strain ahead. "Did I just see?"
"Yes." Talli admitted shamefully. "I'm a hermaphrodite."
"So I saw." Nill continued stunned.
"My vagina." Talli replied getting embarrassed. "I'm still the same guy." He corrected quickly. Nill just stood silent in front of him twitching his tail slightly.
"Alright all of you line back up; we've got new homes for you." The black ferret called as she marched into the middle of the captives. A few of the squirrels bent over to pick up their clothes but where quickly scolded. "Leave those; you have no more need for clothes here." Embarrassed and belittled the remaining squirrels lined back up hanging their heads low. "Take them." The ferret said gesturing toward the white mouse who happily guiding the squirrel at the front of the line.
"Lets go." She said leading the way.
As the line moved away Talli began to move into place. Before he could get too far he felt two strong paws grip his shoulders. Startled he looked up to see the ferret standing over him.
"You're staying right here." She spoke holding him in place. Talli had no choice but to stand alone as he watched his brother's disappear into a large building on the other side of the square. The last one in line was Nill who glanced back at his friend as if he wanted to say something, but without a word he was pushed into the building with the rest.
"Well we have an interesting situation here now don't we?" The vixen spoke as she folded back the hood of her purple robe. Talli now turned his attention to the remaining amazons in the square with him. The fox, ferret, rat and a squirrel remained. All the others had left.
"Please I can explain." Talli began to say trying to think of something to explain.
"Quite." The rat snapped.
"Easy Greatn." The fox said to the rat. "We will ask the questions here; please don't speak unless we ask you directly." Talli nodded. "Let me see." The fox continued gesturing to the rat. As the old hag moved forward with her staff Talli suddenly felt his arms being gripped tightly by the ferret over him. Find himself pinned, he couldn't resist as the ferret forced him to spread his legs apart farther. Talli found it very uncomfortable as he stood almost doing the splits. His exposed testicles dangled free below his cock. The rats forked staff once again gently probed them as they were lifted out of the way.
Talli's small citreous and labia were now visible to all the ladies. Talli started to struggle, but finding it pointless, a second latter he felt faint. He had never been so exposed in his life.
"Remarkable." The fox spoke intrigued.
"How do we deal with this Vonya?" the squirrel maid said addressing the fox.
"He can to us as a male and a warrior." The ferret said.
"That's enough Greatn." The fox said waiving the rat away. Obeying she retracted the staff from the squirrels groin letting him relax again. "But he has a women's physic." Vonya said addressing the ferret.
"He has no breasts, thus he's a male." The ferret said.
"Not all of our sisters have full breasts; some have chests as comparable as his." The squirrel maid reminded. "Why don't we ask?"
"Not a bad idea Terra." Vonya replied as she turned her attention to Talli. "Release him Derny." With a frown on her face the ferret obeyed letting Talli stand on his own.
"What's your name squirrel?" Greatn asked sternly.
"Talli." The squirrel replied.
"That doesn't tell use much that name could be male or female the ferret said.
"So which are you?" Greatn asked bluntly
"I don't understand." Talli stuttered.
"Do you consider yourself male or female?" Vonya asked. Not hesitating Talli answered.
"Male." He said as if scripted.
"There, you see." Derny said.
"Wait a moment sister." Terra said as she turned to the confused squirrel. "It would seem to be he's been going as a male because his outward appearance would say so, but what about how he feels?"
"That's nonsense, he just said he's." Derny said as the fox motioned for her to be quite.
"Is this true, do you disguise your feminine self because its easier for others to accept?" Vonya asked. Finding himself confused once more Talli stood silent for a moment before replying.
"I guess so." He admitted. "I've never told anyone that I'm." He paused hesitant. "a hermaphrodite."
"You see it's more complicated." Terra said.
"But I'm not gay, I'm a guy." Talli quickly added.
"If you're not gay, then the last time you mated was it with a male or female?" Derny asked hoping to clear everything up.
"I.." Talli started but stopped. "I'm a virgin." He admitted.
"You've got to be kidding!" the ferret laughed as she began to walk off. "Decide what you will, you know my thoughts of what to do." She called back as she left.
"Don't mind Derny she can be grumpy at times." Terra spoke kindly to the squirrel.
"Do you find yourself feeling extra compassion toward the ones around you?" Vonya asked.
"I really don't understand." Talli said, yet in his mind he thought about times he always felt more sensitive about things then everyone else. "I've always been one of the guys." He added. Talli soon found himself standing alone as the three remaining maidens backed away to converse in private.
"I think she's just been trapped, pretending to be a male, that's my vote." Terra said.
"There's no way to tell, he says he's male, I think we should go by that." Vonya said.
"If he was female though, he would make a great sister." Terra whispered to the fox.
"Why don't you just test him?" Greatn said butting in. Everyone looked at her puzzled for a moment. "Put him in a private cell with the most virile male, we will found out if what he is then.
"Very well, let's do that." Vonya replied liking the idea. "Go get the most virile of that bunch and put him into the mirror room, we'll clean up our friend here and drop him back in a bit." With nods of agreement the females broke their huddle and went different directions.
Terra slowly walked over to Talli taking his paw in her hand. "Good news, we decided not you kill you." She said sweetly. Taken aback by the casualness of her comment Talli found himself being lead off by the paw. "Come with me, we will get you cleaned up some, you are quite a special lady you know." Talli thought of questioning her but decided it was better to keep his mouth shut. He just followed the squirrel maid silently.
Talli found himself standing outside of what appeared to be a bath house. Still confused by his new situation he was not complaining. He had always feared a day when his sexuality would be exposed and under the circumstances it had gone far better than he had thought. They were not repulsed or offended by his duel sexuality. But they were acting very strange.
"Ok you can come in now." Terra spoke as she approached. "All the sisters have been cleared out; we will be in there alone."
"To do what?" Talli asked nervously as he thought about what Nill had said about needing them to make kids.
"To clean you up, you're quite dirty." Terra said as she led the way.
The bath house air was warm and sweet. It was heated by a natural underground source that left the water at a warm comfortable temperature and a steady flow of water that slowly moved through keeping it fresh.
Talli realized just how long it had been since he had even thought about taking a bath. The first thing he thought about was to take off his clothes. Terra giggled as she watched the squirrel herm realize he was already naked.
Talli found it amazing how quickly he had gotten used to being nude. Slowly he stepped into the warm pool. He just stood chest deep feeling the water churn about him rinsing away dirt and grime from his fur. As he relaxed in the water he watched Terra as she sat on the edge of the pool watching him intently.
"Why did you do this to us?" Talli found himself asking.
"You mean your male friends?" Terra asked to clarify.
"Yes." Talli responded.
"It's written in our ancient laws that males drive the evil scourges onto the world. So they have been forbidden to enter our lands. We've spent our whole lives to ensure their corruption and evil has remained far outside of our borders." Terra explained.
"So when a group wonders too close?" Talli inquired.
"They are dealt with, and put to death." Terra replied coldly.
"How could you!" Talli began to call out as he splashed across the pool grabbing at the maiden.
"No no!" she cried out. "Let me explain." Before Terra could Talli had her in his grip. She had let her guard down for a moment and it was all Talli needed. He pulled her out into the water and was preparing to force her under when she managed to explain. "You're friends are safe!" she cried.
Calming down Talli released his grip letting the girl go.
"We don't kill them anymore." She said. "We found over the years by exterminating every male we found our numbers began to decline, we have to make exceptions now."
"Nill was right." Talli said amazed. "So you are going to use us to."
"Mate with, yes." Terra finished for him. "The more virile males we capture we will keep as slaves to serve and to provide us baby girls."
"I'm sorry I got you all wet." Talli said feeling foolish. "and for attacking you, I had just thought you were going to hurt by brothers."
"You care for them a lot don't you?" Terra spoke softly as she waded closer looking into the herms eyes.
"Not like that!" Talli cried out. "I mean, they're friends and." He paused thinking about his feelings.
"You feel more than that for them don't you, but you never knew why." Terra spoke. "You've got a females heart Talli." Talli tried to think of something to rebut with but she was right, he knew it somehow, he not only shared female genitals but also feminine emotions. His world suddenly seemed upside down, he had been fighting against his female half for so long, ignoring and pretending it was not there, but his body was shared equally between male and female, he was a hir. "We're returning you to your friends now, don't worry we will take care of all of you." Terra said smiling. "By the way, are you really a virgin?"
"Yes." Talli said feeling ashamed. "What about you?" He asked back
"Of course." She answered. "Around her very few of us have even seen a male. But with your friends here that will be changing soon."
"Thanks for talking with me." Talli said as the squirrel maid began to pull herself out of the pool, her wet clothing weighing heavily on her.
"Now it's time for you to go." She spoke.
"Will I see you again?" Talli asked concerned as two guards came forward pulling him forcefully from the water.
"We will see." She replied as she disappeared into a side room.
