Chapter 4 of Leonardo.

Most chapters will have at least a view on both Leon's side and Jake's side.

Same day.

I reached the docks within ten minutes, seeing several people waiting to go into the ship. Some were humans, some were animal-like. All were heading towards what I wanted to go...for the most part. Rivalry Island: the annex of Powerage. Seeing what happened at the recent store, I guessed the same implied: money was involved. I had no use for money, or at least not till then.

I tugged on my shorts. "How the hell do people get used to this?" I adjust my shirt again, from the sides, then from the top. Right then, I had something more on the shirt. I looked to see what it was; I could barely see what it was. I didn't know what it was, but I later learned that it was called a hoodie. I pulled it up all the way quickly. It reached so far, it came back down on my head. I didn't take it off; I adjusted the hoodie, seeing it was oversized slightly. I found opening for my ears that I put in.

I walked over around to see how things went at the entrance. Cases of the people were thrown to 1 entrance being hauled up by an automatic inclined way. The people themselves were going up to a manual way. They were also showing a piece of paper to a guard, clipping on the piece of paper. I didn't have what they had...a ticket I believe.

I ran around to the other side of the luggage, seeing the others. I waited for the right time to go in on the luggage way. There was a large suitcase, big enough for me to hide at the time.

_ There's my chance_ I thought. I waited until it reached up to the incline. Once it reached there, I ran up silently and jumped up behind it. I held on to my tail, hoping no one will notice I was there. I dared not to go up, not risking the chance that guards could've done with me.

I went up with ease. Oh, thank you I thought. I found an empty spot where I could easily hide to. I ran over there and jumped over to it. I stood, waiting for the ship to go.

--

5 minutes into the wait, it still didn't go. I waited longer for it.

--

20 minutes into the wait. What the hell is taking so long?? I wondered. I then realized I still had my hood on. I took it off, feeling the cool breeze the opening came from. I saw that there were no more bags coming in from the entrance. Hm... I then heard footsteps; I ducked down.

I wasn't sure what happened next, but the footsteps came louder and closer to me then eventually faded out. I then heard a bell-like noise up on the ceiling. I looked up, only seeing the ceiling, and a speaker.

"Hello and welcome," the speaker said. It had a deep and old voice. "This is your captain speaking on the S.S. Delta from, well, Delta." I still have no idea what S.S. means. "Seeing we're close to our destination, but not close enough, the trip will take roughly an hour and fifteen minutes. Enjoy your stay on the Delta side of things on the S.S. Delta. Enjoy." It clicked off then.

_ Guess I'll have to wait an hour and fifteen minutes..._ I thought. I then suddenly tipped over a small bag beside the tip of my tail. It seemed light, but it wasn't. I didn't know my tail, or even the tip was that strong. The bag fell over to the floor, giving a large thump.

"What was that?" I heard from a distance.

"Haya," another voice said, "The storage room."

Oh crap I thought. I looked around to see where I could hide.

They ran in; there was light, so there was no need for their flashlights, which...they used anyway.

They searched around, seeing nothing out of the ordinary. They moved their lights toward the bag tipped over, and saw nothing there. They walked and searched, seeing what it was. After five minutes, they stopped searching.

"Must've been a fluke," the man with the Spanish accent said.

"Yeah, probably just a sudden turn on the ship..." They walked out, not sure what they did then.

I jumped in the air vent above me. I closed the opening so that they wouldn't notice. One thing that I was glad about is that the air vent has no lock to open or close it. I opened the opening and got out, putting the opening back on.

There was nothing to do then for the remaining time. All I did was sit and move around for comfort and for stealth from the security.

--

"Well...I'm guessing he went here?" he looked around the city of Delta with its large sites. He looked over to one of the buildings. "Whoa." It was a large tower that looked like a thin pyramid with a disk on top with some spike-things hanging around the disc. He had no idea what the building was called and neither do I.

He looked around at the people, noticing the same thing what I noticed: the clothing.

"I can't risk it," he said to himself. "I have to find a way to get some...what are they called anyway?" He ran around behind the bushes, seeing what he could find. He found something red on a bush ahead of him. He walked up to it, seeing it was some athletic shorts. "Oh, lucky, I guess."

He put them on; a perfect fit. He looped around in a circle. "Feels comfy. Wonder if I'll blend in here..." He walked forward, looking around. People kept walking, simply ignoring him. "Alright then..." He walked around the sidewalk for a while, seeing the buildings and stores around him. He stopped at a map on a stand. He looked at it, seeing Delta and, on the slight left of it, Crescent Forest. "Oh..." he said to himself, "...so that's what it's called."

He looked down, seeing another forest. "That's probably where he went to..." He looked at Rivalry Forest.

"Another one?" a voiced asked. Jake turned around, seeing the same girl I met before.

"U-uh..." Jake scratched the back of his head. "E-excuse me?"

She was leaning on one side, her hand on her hip. "Going to Rivalry?"

He looked away. "Uh...I-I think so..."

She giggled. "You're not from around here, are you?" Jake looked away.

"...No, I'm not." He responded.

"Well," she started, "I would show you the way to the docks, but they boarded like an hour ago. I'm Myla." She offered a hand to him. He shook her hand slowly.

"I-I'm Jakeli...b-but you can call me Jake..."

"Jakeli...well that's a cute name." Jake blushed, looking away from her. "Well, c'mon. I'll take you to my place." She took his hand, Jake caught by surprise. He didn't say anything, but just went with it. He let her run with him, wherever her "place" was.

--

I was half asleep when I heard, "Sorry for the interruption, but this is your captain speaking. I hope you're enjoying your stay at the S.S. Delta as most of us are. We're reaching our destination in about ten minutes. Thank you, from all of here, at the S.S. Delta. Opt and out."

I was then awake after that, looking down seeing a light blue blanket over me. What the hell? I thought. I never remembered reaching for a blanket. I looked around, seeing a guard on my left.

"Relax," he said, raising a hand. He was a raccoon, looked similar to Leslie. "No harm to be done, Leon." I was about to say something, until he said, "Living out here is good; not the best on what I hoped, but it's good for the while. I don't want to know what you're doing here; I already know. To be honest, I already know why." I looked down, feeling disgust within me. "It's not pretty," he said, "but I already knew it was bound to happen.

"I know where you're heading and it's not going to last very long. I already know you've met someone here; I know. It's Delta. You always meet someone there--new or old. I would help you out, but I can't do that right now. Sorry, but I have my own issues." He looks away, "Leaving her mother was not the best thing I've ever done, breaking Leslie's heart. I didn't want to do it, but it was for the best of things." He paused for a long while before breaking the silence. "Well, c'mon, ride's about to be over. If you can sneak your way in, then you can sneak your way out. And do me a favor," I looked at him, seeing what he had to say. "If you see Leslie for me, tell her... 'I'm sorry.'"

I didn't know what he meant by that.

The ship finally came to a stop, feeling a slow stopping motion from it. I looked over to him and nodded. I waited as the luggage entrance started to open, seeing how I can sneak through outside.
