Prologue- A Page from History
Most ponies learn the story of how Equestria was formed at a young age, the story of how the three tribes, the Pegasi, the Unicorns, and the Earth ponies, came together in harmony. What most ponies don't know is that there was a fourth tribe called the Pure Ones. These ponies seemed to live in a strange city surrounded by enormous walls that they called the Everpure City. The ruins of this city were discovered in what is now called the Everfree Forest. Inside these ruins were many written articles of their short history. While the other tribes fought with each other, this tribe seemed to avoid the quarrels altogether. As the blizzards that brought the three tribes together disappeared, so too did the Pure Ones. It is unknown where they went because no evidence of their destination was ever discovered.
No Pure pony had Pegasus wings or a unicorn horn. They all had silver-colored eyes and were born with a symbol on their forehead signifying what power they had. The powers that a Pure One could be born with varied greatly, from controlling the elements or the weather to reading and controlling the minds of other ponies. Why these ponies had such great power is unknown and, unfortunately, we may never know.
