Chapter 63: Blast From The Future.

Two days have passed since that fateful reunion. A human parent has finally met her child that was supposed to be hospitalized for unknown medical reason. The child is suppose to be in coma because of an incident that occurred seven months ago and yet, this child is wandering around finding his own cure in the Digital World and the game in form of a Digimon. Now the family has become merrier with a new family member from the Digital World, specifically at the Beginning Village. The mother has adopted a Digimon called Chibomon at that village. She is quite energetic and has a strong determination to learn more about parents and children by insisting become the child but the mother agree and the child didn't.

On the next day back at Gennai's mansion, the mansion is like any noble traditional Japanese style house; Large mansion and with large garden with pond and decorations. However, there is a different. The mansion lies dormant at the bottom of the lake in the Digital World for protective reason. Thus some school fish swimming idly near the mansion or waiting if someone will feed them. Of course the scenery can be occurred when it was peaceful, until somebody burst the serenity.

"VILVET, YOU whelp!!" A loud booming yell broke the silence and the fishes scattered away from the mansion. Al woke up suddenly being tied on the futon for no reason. He had a high suspicion on whose the culprit is. He struggle to stand up with both his claw and feet bind and hop to find his new sister. Once he saw the Demiveemon, he started the chase. "UNTIE ME SO I COULD SPANK YOUR BOTTOM TILL BLOODY RED!" He yelled at her.

"Not in your life, big meanie." She taunted while running away as fast as her two feet can. "It is best that you stay here."

"Oh I'll STAY all right, so I can bite your tail off." He replied still chasing her by hopping around like a Chinese vampire ghost.

They were running and hopping at the corridor and make a huge ruckus which woke everyone. All of them rubbed their eyes trying to dust off the sand on their eyes as they trying to find the source. Some human will surprise to see a small creature running fast in front of him/her while the Digimons looked around and for those who unfortunate will fall butt first.

Sarah came out and slowly asked everyone. "What's all the ruckus?" She asked while rubbing her eyes.

The Demiveemon saw her and screed halt ready to jump. That goes unnoticed to Al because he is so determined to catch her no matter what. Once she stopped, he jumped forward to dive head first with maw ready to chomp her. She saw it and jumped high to dodge him. He saw her and surprised. He fell with a loud thud followed by a stomping on his head. She uses his head as a jumping pad to jump toward Sarah.

"Ow... I bit my cheek hard." He grumbled.

"What is going on here?" Sarah asked as she saw Al was tied up with claws on his back and both feet tied up as well.

"Big Al wants to bite my tail off, mommy." The Demiveemon answered.

He heard her and struggle to look at his mother. "Well, she started it first. He tied me while I was asleep."

"She...?" Sarah asked him and looked at Demiveemon a bit confused. "mommy...?"

"She is Vilvet, the Chibomon you adopted and my adopted little sister." Al explained with grunts. "She's evolved."

"Is that true, Vilvet?" Sarah asked while looking at Vilvet with angry look.

"You said that you don't want to see him hurt or troubled, so I tied him up." She innocently replied.

"Oh honey, you shouldn't have." Sarah said by shaking her head lightly.

"But I was trying to do what you wish for, mommy."

"I know, dear." She answered while rubbing Vilvet's head gently. "But like I said many times, I can't do anything to stop him when duty calls. I just hope that he would return safely, or at least alive."

"But wouldn't that make you sadder?"

"It does, but I believe in him. I believe that he would return and that makes me happy. I just wish to see him return with a happy smile."

Al heard her and thinks back to his normal life in the past. He always put up a smile back when the families are whole. The father came home from work; he gave a big smile to his father. Having dinner together, he gave smile to the family. Seeing the parent attended during the parent day at school, he smiled. Those were the happy thoughts that stuck on his mind, until that eventful day where his life turned and there is no more happiness.

He have lost count for how long has it been, until the small smile sparks again when meeting with Gatomon. Speaking of her, she is clawing off the rope that binds him. One thing for certain, it is hard to untie the rope unless it was cut.

"Now what should you say to your brother?" Sarah asked Vilvet.

Vilvet looked at him still a bit agitated. "I'm sorry, Alphonse, for tying you up."

"Yeah, I'm sorry for yelling at you." He replied. In the end the rope was cut and he starts rubbing the muscles under the rope. "But please, don't do these again." He starts stretching and walked towards the kitchen. Since it is too early and he is awake, he took some fruits for breakfast. After his stomach is satisfied, he went to the monitor room to see if the old forbidden document has been deciphered upon the exact location of the X-Virus.

"Yes we found it." Andromon replied.

"But we never suspect that it was in that whirlpool." Ken added with grunt.

Al heard the grunts and wondered why. "Okay, what's with the grunt, Ken?"

"I've been there before." Ken answered. "That's where I took Devimon's power to create Chimeramon, the true source of dark and evil Digimons."

"And that's where we would probably find the X-Virus." Black responded. Al, Ken, Andromon looked at him. "I warned you though, it is very dangerous and it will bring you to insanity. You might not be able to come back."

"I will do anything to solve this condition and kill that Ed Bastard. He had caused enough trouble to everyone." Al answered. He heard a gasped and that comes from his mother. "Mom..."

Sarah walked slowly and kneels down so her eye level is the same as his. "Must you go to a dangerous place?" She asked.

"I know I shouldn't, mom." He answered avoiding eye contact. "But I have to do this. I've been through a lot of things that almost cost my life. It scares me, but it is my duty to protect the worlds." Sarah tried to respond while she shook her head, but he stopped her. "Look at me mother, you may not notice but I've changed. I'm not the same kid that always weak, coward and always think of myself. I've grown to become the boy you proud of."

"But you heard what he said, Al." Vilvet respond. "This will kill you, and you make mom sad again. I shouldn't apologize to you, you jerk." She dashed forward to do sucker punch at him.

Al is ready this time and grabbed her head so she couldn't reach him. "Call me what you like, Vilvet. But I can't abandon the duty that involve saving the world."

"Grr..., you don't understand." She yelled.

"No, YOU don't understand." He yelled back. "This isn't a battle-like you like to play with your friends. This is a battle to save the world. This is what we called responsibility. It is the task we must do whether we like it or not. So I suggest you to stay out of my way."

Vilvet's face started to scrunch and cry out loud. Sarah pick her up and try to ease her up. "That is not the way you talk to your sister."

Al lowered his eyes. "It's for the best, mom. I don't want her to be killed. Not ever again."

"Funny way to show your responsibility." A new strange old voice responded. This alerts everyone.

A strange flash coming from the same room and a weird circle appeared as if it like a tunnel. The Digimon starts defending and the human starts avoiding. A single figure appeared from the light. "Settled down, I'm not your enemy." The figure said and the light vanishes. There stood an old man wearing magenta glass, magenta shirt doubled with jean jacket; green jean short and a cap less cap. He may be old with a cane to support, but everyone are highly suspicious of him.

"Who are you and what are you doing here?" Black roared at him.

"Like I said I'm not your enemy." The old man said. "I'm here on an errand."

"Funny way of doing an errand, what kind that involves coming here?" Al asked.

"I'm looking for some people to help me on something." He replied. "And I've heard that the heroes are here."

"Unfortunately we can't tell to a stranger that suddenly appear and know about us." Black answered.

"Hmm... a wise word. Just call me clock maker." He introduced himself. "I'm here because I need some help with my problems."

"Why should we believe you? For all we know, you are just a spy, clock maker." Ken asked.

"Yes, you are talking about Edward. Lucky for all of you, I didn't work for him, and this is my proof." He answered as he reached into a pocket and reveal a device to the Destinies. The size of the device is similar to a phone, with a screen at the center and a weird turntable below the screen. Above the screen there are several strip gaps who knows what for. The color of the device is black.

"What is that?" Ken asked.

"This is a Digivice." He simply answered. Which gave gasped from everyone.

"That is impossible." Andromon said in disbelief. "The structure is far different than the one we have."

"That's because it doesn't exist, yet."

'yet...?' Al thought about it for a moment and it ping in realization. "Tell me, clock maker. Are you from the future?"

The old man snickered as the others were shocked in surprise. "For a Digimon, you are sure smart, if that is your real body." Al's eyes started to squint giving a dead glare to the old intruder. "I also know who you really are, boy. And so does the rest of you. I just wanted to borrow several of your team and then we walk off. I also promise that they will return safely and unharmed."

"How many do you want?" Al asked, not removing his glare at him.

The old man shrugged his shoulder. "The more the better."

"What do we get in return?" Al asked again.

"Now that's a tough question." He put the digivice and starts scratching his beard. "How about I tell you where to find him, if it is sufficed?"

Al thinks for a moment. He needs to go to the whirlpool that Ken mentioned to obtain the X-virus in full force. But if he sent his team on who knows what kind of mission from the strange old man, the mission will be delayed and the world will grow worst unless he goes to that whirlpool by himself or with the remaining team. So far, he had: Tai, Matt, Izzy, Sora, Mimi, Joe, TK, Kari, Davis, Yolei, Cody, Ken, Takato, Henry, Rika, Kazu, Juri, Kenta, Suzie, Jake, Zane, Derek, Black, Amelia and himself.

"Well, I'm still waiting for your answer." The clock maker said waiting for his answer.

Decision has to be made, either reject the task and wait for the enemy shows up or accept it to find the location and delay the X-virus mission.

"Here is my answer."
