#1 of Monika Ramirez

This is the backstory for my OC Monika Issabel Ramirez. This chapter really doesn't have anything that is too adult in it, so I have it marked as clean, but other chapters are going to get more graphic and the rating will be changed. So anyway, enjoy!

Sunshine filtered through the window, spilling onto the floor. In the cage in the corner, a yellow canary started to sing sweetly, welcoming the dawn. A soft breeze rippled the curtain and blew up into the sheets on the bed. Monika groaned and rolled over, pulling the blanket tighter around her. She wasn't ready to wake up. Not yet.

The snow leopard growled as her bird continued to sing. She knew it was morning. That was clear by the sunlight on her carpet. But she had been having the most wonderful dream. One that involved a handsome man, a sunset, and lots of wine. She didn't want it to end.

Sighing in defeat, she opened her blue eyes, brushing her blonde hair back off her face and looking up at the ceiling. She didn't want to look at the clock, she already knew it was way too early to be awake. She threw her arm over her eyes, groaning, then turned her head slowly to the side. Peeking out from under her wrist, she looked at the clock. Six-thirty. Damn. Frowning to herself, she threw the covers off and stood, stretching again. Her tail flicked lazily behind her as she walked to her dressing table.

Monika was not your average looking Spaniard. Her hair and eyes were unusually light for someone from Argentina. She only stood five feet six inches, and was covered head to toe in pure white fur, dabbed here and there with pale black spots. The tip of her tail looked as if it had been dipped in a bottle of ink, and was the darkest spot on her body. Her eyes were bright blue and sparkled when she smiled. Blonde locks cascaded down her back, stopping at her tail. She had several men after her, but only one mattered to her.

Rodolpho worked at the market on the corner. Actually he owned it. His family was friends with hers, so they practically grew up together. She spent most of her time as a teenager writing her name and his together in hearts, day dreaming about him instead of paying attention in class. She had still managed to pass. When they graduated, Rodolpho had been dating an older woman, a college woman from Spain. She was a tall, slender, graceful greyhound named Maria. Monika was no competition.

Maria never liked Monika. She seemed to have find something annoying about the cat when they were together, so it made it hard for her to spend any time with Rodolpho. She dated around, here and there, but no one could ever quite take his place. He was strong, he was handsome, and from what she could tell, he was well hung. She continued to fanaticize about him, even when she was sleeping with someone else.

Eventually Maria had walked away from Rodolpho. She had to return to Spain, revealing to him that she was engaged back home, and that things had been fun. Monika was there to pick up the pieces. She had never seen him so down. He wouldn't even leave his bed some days. But Monika was there to force him out, to pick him up, and get him on his way.

It took him six months to recover from what could only be described as a crushing blow. But Monika was there. She stood behind him and supported him when he thought the world had turned its back on him. To thank her, he took her to dinner, meaning for it to be a thank you, but instead, he poured his heart out to her.

"Monika, I have a confession to make," He sat his glass of soda back on the table, wiping his mouth on a napkin. Monika looked up at him curiously. "I love you." She almost choaked on a piece of bread. Those were words she had longed to hear since they were kids. "I've always loved you. But I didn't want to admit it." She dropped her fork.

"So why are you telling me this now?" The words came out a little more harsh then she intended, but he wasn't phased.

"Because I can't help it. I have to let it out." He kissed her then, and they had been together ever since.

Her family had been beyond words when they found out, even went so far as to talk to his family and start planning the wedding. Monika simply rolled her eyes and walked away whenever the subject was brought up.

There was no denying they were a beautiful couple. At six foot two, dark hair and eyes made the panther the envy of all her friends. They wanted to be with him more then they were willing to admit, and never would have said anything to Monika.

She spent her days in school, studying hard to become a paralegal. Her cousin was going to start a law firm in Buenos Aires, and he promised to put her to work, but she had to pass all her classes and graduate in the top 15% of her class. She planned on it.

Her nights were spent with Rodolpho. When they were tangled up with each other and the sheets, they were at the club, at the bar, or out in public. Monika didn't mind. So long as she was with him.

Monika made her way to the shower. Letting the water run over her body was her favorite way to start the day. She washed, stepped out and dried herself off. Dressing simply in a halter top and jeans, she stepped into wedge sandals, grabbed her backpack, and headed off to class.

Rodolpho met her for lunch. The giggled and chatted, eating quickly, then finding an abandoned bathroom for some quick sex. Monika was glowing when she returned to campus, kissing her man quickly and heading off to finish her day. She only had a few more weeks left, then it was time for graduation. She couldn't wait.

She met up again with her boyfriend after classes, and he escorted her home. They cuddled on the couch, she made him dinner, and they eventually fell asleep on the couch. They only woke when his phone went off in his pocket, waking him. He slowly eased Monika off his chest and answered before she could wake up. She settled back comfortably on the couch, still asleep as he walked out the door.
