Silnis

*****

It was back to school after a long, yet fun, break and I couldn't have been any happier. I spent my entire break in Hawaii with Markus and it was a total blast! Life couldn't be any sweeter to me. I was walking towards Art when I suddenly bumped into someone.

"Oh, I'm sorry!" I apologized, bending down to pick up a binder I made the person drop. Coming back up, I handed her the binder and my face suddenly turned to one of confusion. I knew almost everyone in this school, but I'm not sure if the girl I was looking at was someone I knew.

"Thanks, I'm Kelly by the way." She said in a cute, almost kid-like tone. She was a wolf like me, though her fur was pure white without the grayish color like mine.

"A-are you new here by any chance?" I asked her, curious.

"Yeah, my parents and I just moved here during the break." She replied, adding a small giggle at the end.

"I'm Silnis, nice to meet you. If there's anything I can do to help than don't hesitate to ask me." I told her, giving her a friendly smile just as the warning bell rang. "Well...I gotta go. I'll see you around!" I waved her goodbye before running past her to Art, not wanting to be late. I arrived and sat myself down just as the tardy bell rang, breathing out a sigh of relief. Mr. Sawyer walked in as well and started the day off with a warm welcome.

"Welcome back class, I hope you all had a wonderful break! Today we'll be starting a new project. You or a partner will make a composition of a natural landscape. It may be done using pencil, ink, paint, or pastels. Today, you'll start with planning out your composition and you'll have a week to complete it. This project will be worth eighty points so I expect everyone to give their best effort in this." He explained before waving us off to get started. Markus and I instantly got together, greeting each other with a small kiss before getting started on our project.

"Oh, did you see the new student?" I asked him, curious.

"No, why, did you?" Markus replied back, sketching out some hills for the background.

"This morning I did. We kind of bumped into each other in the hall and she seems pretty nice. Her name was Kelly." I told him.

"I'll be sure to keep an eye out for her, but why don't you work on the trees? I'm not that good at them like you are." Markus complimented just as he gave me a sloppy lick on the cheek. I giggled before working on my part of the composition.

The rest of the morning classes went by fairly quickly and by the time it was lunch I was starving. It was Pasta Bowl Monday and that was one of my favorite things about Monday. It was a medium-sized bowl of pasta with sauce poured over it and a breadstick was always included with the meal. It was chicken alfredo today and I absolutely adored it! I could practically eat three bowls if I wanted to! As I waited in line for my pasta, I was replaying the events of Spring Break when I felt a tap on my shoulder.

"Silnis is it? Hey, is the pasta here any good?" I heard someone ask. I twisted my head to see who it was and was surprised to see that Kelly was here.

"Kelly? Oh, hi! Yeah, the pasta here is simply amazing! You have to try it! I promise you won't regret it!" I cheerfully encouraged her, jumping up and down in pure excitement.

"Okay, I'll hold you to your word." She agreed, playing with her hair and trying to look casual. A few guys at a table near us started checking her out, even whistling out loud at her which she didn't seem to notice. Kelly had skin-tight jeans on that showed off her legs while she wore a sleeveless blouse. Overall, she did have that attractive feeling to her, but that's just me complimenting her. The line scooted up some more and it was finally my turn to get my much desired pasta. Our school had a chef, Faith was her name, who came to our school every day to cook the specials we had and no one can deny that she made the best food.

"Good afternoon Silnis, so what'll it be for today?" she asked me.

"I think you already know the answer to that Faith." I told her, getting a hearty laugh from her.

"Chicken alfredo coming right up!" She said, scooping up a generous amount of whole-wheat pasta into a bowl and then adding the sauce before laying the breadstick across the bowl.

"Thanks Faith, you always make the best pasta." I complimented, grabbing a fork from the silverware bin on the side.

"Just doing my job to feed you all, right?" She replied with a bright smile before moving on to Kelly.

"I'll have the same thing as well please." Kelly asked. Faith gave her the same serving and smiled happily at her before moving on to the next student.

"You can come and sit with me if you want to Kelly." I offered her, getting a small nod from her as she followed me to my table. It was just me at lunch, though I didn't mind. Markus had teased me with the idea of switching lunches so we could be together, but I told him that we were on our last term of school and that switching lunches wasn't going to be that easy as it was the first term. My table was by the window and even if it was bright I still enjoyed sitting there. Kelly made herself comfy across from me as I shifted my things around on the table to make some more room for her. "Sorry for all the clutter. I like to study and do homework here after I'm done eating. I hope you don't mind."

"Naw, it's fine with me. I could tell you were a pretty smart guy when I first bumped into you." She complimented.

"Thanks. I could tell you were a nice person when I bumped into you too." I complimented back. She was about to say something else when two guys came up to us and asked us a question.

"These seats taken?" one of them asked, gesturing to the seats on both sides of Kelly.

"No, they're empty. You can take them if you want." I kindly offered, expecting them to drag them off to their table, but they instead plopped right down next to Kelly.

"So, your name's Kelly right? Are you new here beautiful?" the guys asked, pushing aside their lunches and focusing instead on the beauty before them.

"Yep, that's my name. I just moved here during the break and today's my first day here." She explained. I could tell that a questionnaire was coming up so I just sat back and ate my lunch before going on to work. I couldn't help but listen in on their conversation every once in a while as the guys were literally flirting with her half of the time. I couldn't help but roll my eyes at them as they clearly didn't know the first thing about romance. The bell suddenly rung and I grabbed my thing to leave, waving goodbye to Kelly as I zoomed to my next class.

Afterschool, I was looking all over for Markus because he didn't meet me at my locker like he normally would. So I had to ask around until I found him working out in the school's weight room. He was busy doing benches and didn't notice me until I popped right over him and leaned down to give him a kiss while he was still lifting.

"What'cha doing?" I asked him though it was pretty obvious. He muttered something like one-hundred and ten before dropping the bar on the handles and coming up with a big puff.

"Working out." He answered, grabbing a towel from nearby and wiping away some sweat.

"Why's that?" I questioned.

"Just wanted to get in shape and build some more muscles." He told me, going over to a mirror and flexing to see any improvements, "So...you see any differences?" I went over to him and pinched his biceps, finding them tough and solid. They were a bit bigger than when I last saw them. I don't know if he was expecting this or not, but I lifted up his shirt and started to feel around his mid-section. So far everything was just as solid as his biceps were.

"Impressive...you must really work out." I commented, feeling around a bit more and hearing a soft murr coming from him. Letting his shirt fall back down, I wrapped my arms around his neck and gave him a long kiss, letting out tongues mingle and explore our mouths.

"I love you so much babe. I would do anything for you." Markus said, resting his head on mine and just gazing into my eyes.

"Really?" I questioned.

"Really." He confirmed.

"Then go take a shower. You smell like dirty gym clothes." I teased, getting a small chuckle from him.

"Wanna join me?" he asked.

"Sorry, I just took one this morning and my limit is one shower per day." I teased some more.

"Aww...I was hoping for some "fun" while we were together in there." He joked.

"Well your "fun" will have to wait until later." I told him, getting a small puppy whimper before he kissed me again.

"Alright fine, I'll wait. But you better promise me we'll do it later on. That scent of yours is starting to come back and I don't know if I can hold off for long." He said with a smile before leaving for the showers. I could only sigh as I knew that I was going to have to please him one way or another. But who said that I was complaining?

I knew I sounded like I was desperate for sex with Silnis and all, but there were two things that drove me to mate with him more: His scent was just enchanting to my senses first of all, but the most important thing was that I needed to mark him more so that no other male wouldn't try grabbing Silnis for themselves. I couldn't let anyone try to take advantage of Silnis again like with what happened in Hawaii and with Josh. It hurt me to see him hurt. My promise to him was that I wouldn't let anything hurt him, and I was dead-set of making sure I kept that promise to him. Silnis...I said I would do anything for you and I meant that with all my heart. Nothing will ever stop me from loving you.

After my quick shower, I headed out of the locker room and was heading to the cafeteria where Silnis would always wait for me. I wanted to see him desperately so I started power walking, but I eventually started running. I guess this is why teachers don't want you running around in the halls because just then someone came out from around a corner and it was too late for me to stop before I hit them. I tried to slow down to minimize the impact, but I still hit them pretty hard and sent us sprawled on the floor.

"I'm so sorry!" I apologized, getting to my feet and helping them up.

"It's all right." They apologized, making it clear to me what gender they were. If it was a guy than everything was fine, but it was a girl I had run into. Some gentleman I was. She got back up and brushed herself off, muttering to herself that this was the second time she got rammed into today.

"I'm sorry! I didn't see you until the last second!" I apologized again.

"Really it's okay. I'm fine." She said, looking up at me and smiling to show that she was unharmed. I hadn't seen her face here before so I assumed that she was the new student Silnis was talking about.

"Again, I'm sorry. I'm Markus." I introduced myself, wanting to give her my name at least just in case she wanted to report me or anything as I felt really bad for what I did.

"I'm Kelly. Nice to meet you." She introduced herself, offering a handshake as I gladly took it.

"Are you the new student here?" I asked, wanting to confirm my curiosity.

"I am. I just moved here during the break. How did you know?" She questioned.

"I heard about you from a friend. I think you know him. His name's Silnis." I explained. Her face lit up a bit when I mentioned Silnis, leaving me to believe he left a good impression on her.

"I did meet him. He's really a nice guy, very polite and good mannered." She complimented, though I didn't need anyone to tell me he was a complete angel.

"Well, it was nice to meet you and all but I got to get going." I told her, suddenly remembering that Silnis was still waiting for me.

"Oh, all right, it was nice to meet you though!" she said to me as I hurried down the hall. As always, Silnis was sitting at a table working on his homework just as I he heard me barreling towards him and greeting him with my famous kiss meant only for him.

"You ready to go?" I asked.

"I'm ready when you're ready." He answered, packing his things away in his backpack before we walked out to the student parking lot. We weren't in any rush to go home or anything so we took some detours to pass the time. Thankfully my vacation time wouldn't expire until three more days. So that meant three days to spend precious time with the love of my life. We stopped at the Cinnabon and grabbed some cinnamon rolls for us to snack on before heading on down to the park. There, we just sat on a park bench eating our snacks and enjoying this time we had together.

"I met the new student, by the way." I told Silnis.

"So how was she to you?" he asked me, still munching on his cinnamon bun as mine was long gone.

"She was pretty nice and very friendly." I commented, Silnis nodding his head in agreement.

"She is, but earlier at lunch these two guys were flirting with her and she didn't seem to notice or care. I have to admire her for that. If that were me, I'm sure I would've felt disgusted." He said, taking another bite of his cinnamon bun.

"Or," I said, scooting closer and wrapping an arm around him, "I could've been there to scare them off. Your mine after all and anyone else who wants a piece of you has to go through me." I started growling playfully, holding Silnis tightly against me as I snarled at the wind, pretending it was some other male who wanted his grubby hands on my angel.

"Don't let them take me away from you! Please protect me my valiant knight!" Silnis played along, whimpering playfully.

"No one's going to take you away from me! Don't you worry my Juliet!" I said while Silnis gave me a puzzled look.

"Juliet? Since when did I become Juliet?" he questioned.

"I'm just having some fun Silnis, but you are like Juliet in my opinion." I explained, smiling spiritedly.

"Well if I'm Juliet, than you have to be my Romeo!" Silnis proclaimed, putting on his own impish grin.

"Then shall we kiss my Juliet?" I asked, already knowing the answer.

"Yes we shall my Romeo." He answered, initiating the kiss by pressing his lips against mine. Though we've kissed many times before, every kiss with each other was just as special as those before them. I wanted to kiss a little longer, but Silnis stopped short, looking at me with such love and meaning in his eyes that I couldn't help but sigh in adoration. "You kiss by the book." I chuckled when he said that, considering he just used a quote from the book that Juliet said to Romeo when they first met.

"I love you." I told him.

"I love you too." He said back, leaning his head against mine. We held each other there for a while, hearing nothing but each other's breaths and the soft whistle of the wind. I had my eyes closed and when I opened them I saw a girl from afar watching us with curious eyes. Thinking that other people may be watching us, I back away slowly from the embrace as to not make Silnis think that something was wrong.

"Come on, let's get going. It's getting late." I said, taking Silnis' hand and leading him back to the car as I glanced back at the girl. She was still watching us, following us with her eyes as I couldn't tell who it was. Deciding to ignore her, I got Silnis into the car and pulled away from the parking lot just as I noticed that the girl was gone. That was creepy. I wondered who she was?

I was working alone in art, busy finishing up our project. Markus had gone to the counseling office to talk to Ms. Zimmerman, our school counselor along with Mr. Pepski. He didn't say why he was going to the counseling office, but he just told me he had to go and talk to one of them. I was using watercolors to color in our project, being careful not to mess up when I felt somebody sit down next to me. It couldn't have been Markus as he would've surprised me with a kiss or hug. I looked to my side and saw that it was one of my long-time friends, Jacelyn, a really sociable fox girl who didn't mince words if you made her upset or angry.

"Hey Jacelyn, what's up?" I asked her, continuing on my project while talking.

"The usual, as always. How are you doing?" she asked back, brushing her hair behind her ears.

"Same here with me." I answered, dipping my brush in the green and coloring in the grass and hills, "So how have you and Andy been getting along?" I was expecting her to tell me how much of a sweet heart her boyfriend was, but her answer to my question was very surprising.

"Oh, that douche, I dumped his sorry ass just yesterday afternoon." She told me, her expression unfazed.

"What happened? You two had a good thing going and then you dump him now?" I questioned, confused. Those two had fallen head over heels in love with each other just last year and they always couldn't get enough of each other's' company.

"So he took me out to Star's Place and we were having an amazing time together. We were in a good conversation when I suddenly had to use the restroom. I excused myself for like a minute or two and when I come back, he's gone! I asked a waiter if they had seen him go anywhere and they told me he had gone outside with some other girl just after I went. When I walked outside, I couldn't find him anywhere until I heard these small noises coming from the back of the restaurant. When I got closer, I finally realized that the noises were moans and grunts. What I saw there Silnis left me heart-broken and furious. Andy was there, fucking the daylights out of this girl who was pressed up against the wall and moaning like a slut in heat. I didn't even know who the fuck she was, but boy was I pissed. I charged right in there, ripping those two fuck bunnies apart, and started calling Andy all sorts of names that should never be uttered again. Needless to say, I broke up with him right on the spot and walked home myself. When I got home, I cried like I never cried before and got rid of all the junk that Andy gave me when we were still together. That motherfucker didn't even call me to say that he was sorry! At least I could have forgiven him then, but nope, I never got a single fucking call from him! I bet he brought that slut home and was still fucking her without a care about me!" she explained, huffing and puffing at this point. It's a good thing she can talk in a hushed voice and still exclaim or otherwise we would've had a big problem with Mr. Sawyer still in the room.

"Calm down Jacelyn, just breathe. Let's talk about this. Did you happen to talk to Andy this morning?" I asked. She shook her head firmly, telling me she didn't and didn't even want to. "Why would he do that though? Did you do anything recently to make him feel upset?" Again, she gave another firm shake of the head. Hmm...this doesn't make any sense at all. Andy was never the type of person to have sex with some random girl while in a relationship. Sure, he did have his mischievous side, but that only amounted to pranks and jokes. This didn't make any sense at all.

"It's fine Silnis. Besides, he's out of my life now. I probably won't be dating for a while now." She said, getting up from her chair. "Don't let Markus slip away from you like Andy did to me. Always watch him and observe his behavior." Her expression was a serious one when she said that. Was she warning me just in case Markus did ever do that? He wouldn't do that to me. He promised me after all...right?
