A full month have passed, my children getting stronger each day. Dragon children grow fast, the amount of food given counting more than time itself. I heard my children could resist near to three months without any food at all. Hard to believe, but I'm not into testing when wild life near our house is enough to feed all of us.

Messengers of peace I remembered the story Magna started telling at the beach but was stopped by Eldaron. The following month, I had to prepare for the audition, but I still got curious. Rock was looking our children and the rest of the family was busy, so I caught with Magna to know what I should about our world.

"Mom you were starting a story back at the beach two months ago. I want you to finish it." I started.

"What story, darling?" Magna asked. Shi really wasn't remembering, I felt it.

"You was telling the story on which dragon had to hide. When you stopped, you've already said about how much a dinosaur could provide food for a family this big and I felt a big however on the way, but you were interrupted by Eldaron"

"Oh that story." Magna grinned. "Well the however you told about would come relatively soon, but not right now. Your people say that the age of dinosaurs ended on the ice age. They're wrong. I saw it with my eyes. The ice age itself was thanks to Degon. He wanted to have control over dragons as had Thyamat, still alive back there. He was the first dragon demon and decided he wanted to fight against Thyamat for control of dragons.

"The battle eventually dragged other dragons to fight for their sides. Our food source, though, haven't a choice in the matter. Or we ate them, or we killed them just to not feed our enemies. My family also took side on that war. We fought with all our strength against our enemies. It was back then when I met Eldaron. He is young compared to me, but he is handsome. I guess you also think that way. I fell in love by him and we had one egg. A single egg with our first and only son, called Noble."

"Noble?" I asked. "You mean the one who acted as"

"Noble's main talent is that he is fair above anything. He also control advanced light, what your people call 'Holy'. With Noble's birth, the first, and only, dragon war was ended. Our side lost the war."

"What? How's that? The world then should be a chaos!" I was puzzled then.

"It should if we had sided with Thyamat." Dizaly commented from behind me. "Our family at that time, Eliza, sided with Degon."

My eyes widened. That, at least, explains why Magna knows Eldaron.

"The exact day which the war came to an end, I had a mission with Eldaron to strike Thyamat's forces from behind." Magna continued "However, he never showed up. Only later I discovered why. It was one of Thyamat's spies that put me there and the dragon goddess hirself appeared in front of me. I had no ground anymore. It was only I and the goddess. I was dead, I thought. However, shi explained me what I told you when I met with you first time. Shi was already the second Thyamat and Degon had never noticed that.

"When I asked about why to choose someone from the opposite side, shi said that it was because of our ability, so it would be me or Dizaly there. However, Dizaly was far too young, so I was first choice."

"If you're asking what it have to do with dragon hiding, you will get surprised, Eliza." Dizaly commented. "After that, besides never engaging a war again, dragons started to fight among themselves for power. However, when humans started wars, dragons always intertwined. That brought the legends of gods and other human cultures."

"You said gods like Zeus and Poseidon?"

"Zeus was a dragon which long time ago decided to live among humans." Magna answered "He has power over climates disasters, like hurricanes and thunders. He was known as lord of skies for such abilities."

"Poseidon though was a handsome water dragon. He died after a battle long ago which brought death to all his children. Pyra was the only one to survive." Dizaly commented. I could see her eyes glowing in memory.

"Oh my" It was so much information

"On medieval epoch, dragons were first seen at natural." Magna continued "At first respected for their power, never used at full intensity near humans. However, a human saw the true power between two dragons and since then we were feared. And if our rage fell over them? What could simple humans do to stop our attacks?"

"Attack before being attacked" I anticipated.

"Right you are." Dizaly confirmed "Since then we decided to hide. Magna decided that dragons should hide till one of two possibilities occurred: or the humans forgot about us, or the humans were extinct."

"No need to say that Degon's army decided to terminate humans once and for all." Magna said. "However, after being converted to the new Thyamat, most of dragons decided to side with me and even with just ten dragons being enough to destroy humans, those who sided with Degon didn't want to have the wrath of Thyamat falling over them."

"Wait and about Egyptian gods?" I got curious.

"Some dragons can change form, Eliza. Have you forgotten?"

"Oh But still they were dragons?"

"No doubt." Magna grinned. "Most of them are still alive till now days. You may have even talked to a few of them without noticing."

"But why have you hid? You could have put humans on their place and shared world with them!" I was still curious.

"If you can do anything, it doesn't mean you should do it." Dizaly commented.

"With great power come great responsibilities" Magna and Dizaly said together, both of them siding with me and they hugged me, surprisingly.

After some time there, hugging each other, I felt my children with Rock all jumping on my back, what broke the hug and threw me on ground. Magna and Dizaly grinned as they saw me playing with them.

"She's so young for a dragon" Dizaly commented.

"But still so old mentally" Magna corrected. "She had lived another life, with other experiences. Even having the power of the Thyamat, also hir responsibilities, she is still trying to know her body's limits and no better way of doing that than being a mother."

"And so far, she had done a creditable job." Dizaly agreed.

Those two only knew what happened when ten dragon cubs jumped over them, asking to play. Dizaly and Magna grinned, joining the fun, while I got up, grinning.

"It looks like my mothers were talking about me"

I growled and my children came to me, now listening more than playing.

When they left, I couldn't help but grin. "This dragon language Why you haven't taught us how to use it?"

"There are lots of things that no dragon ever told a human." Magna answered.

"I guess it's time you open up with me." I said.

Magna and Dizaly looked deeply into each other's eyes.

"It's about food, mainly." Dizaly said. "What you said, that not all of your people hunts out of the season, but those who do just make enough for who don't."

"And thus our food rate is diminishing quickly." Magna finished. "Your people are going kill the dragons by hunger. And how we prefer to live than die yet, well we'll start eating whatever food source we have"

"Wait Aren't you talking about" I couldn't believe what I was hearing.

"If there no other way, yes."

"But must have other way! It's It's" then only a word came to my mind. Sadly, this was the same word that I couldn't apply on myself anymore: inhuman.

"Disgusting, I know." Dizaly tried. "I think this way too, Eliza. And relax, since it is our last resource. We'll try everything else before that."

"And if we chase the ones doing this?" I suggested. "As you said, while human, I could have faced a few of them and never found out!"

"They are the weakest dragons, Eliza. The ones which causes no harm to human by being so weak." Magna answered.

"Wait here... Are you saying that Zeus is a weak dragon?"

"Yes, he is." Magna answered. "They normally have no magic talents and have no special abilities as we do. They're common humans at most, with dragon's blood in their veins. Some are even breed between a dragon and humans."

Magna's head then, swung to a side. Shi seemed to focus on something and I asked mentally to Dizaly what it was.

It's a dragon calling the Thyamat. Some still don't see you as the righteous Thyamat and some just don't know you exists. Dizaly answered me mentally.

Then it was my time to turn my head to the same direction. The voice was that of a male, seemed rather poor in strength, but was for sure strong in presence.

Am I talking to Thyamat? He asked.

Not so sure about how to reply, I just did as with Dizaly. Yes, I am Thyamat. May I ask what you want?

I bring news about Eldaron. He said. Besides I do not side with you, I do not side with him either. Anyway, I have a particular interest in human kind, and along the years, I've seen my people killing animals when it's not needed. Have you been short in food recently?

That question got me off guard. That was exactly the topic I was discussing with Dizaly and Magna just before. Who am I talking to?

Another thing to get me off-guard: he lived among humans! How can so much coincidences happens so fast? I do happen to know it. When?

I felt he closed the link. I looked to my mothers once again. "Okay... That's strange..."

"What Quetz wanted?" Magna asked.

"What? You know him?"

"He's one exception from the rule. He is somewhat a powerful dragon. Not as strong as you or me, even after I lose completely my powers. But he is rather... disastrous... while on dragon form."

"What do you mean by disastrous?"

"He controls storms. On his dragon form, his power is so refined that the skies are an extension of him. If he cries, the sky cries. If he's angry, you get thunders. If he's really furious, tornadoes, hurricanes and such." Magna surprised me. I couldn't even say a thing. How the hell does he lives among humans without being suspicious? "However, he has an innate talent. He can seal his own power. However, the only time he does so is when he changes to a humanoid form. His dragon form is a winged version of Mizu, though."

"A winged serpent dragon?" I couldn't hold a laugh. "And my people said that god haven't given wings to serpents for a reason..."

The duo grinned. I called him again, mentally. Quetzalcoatl... I need an empty beach tomorrow. Can you help me with that? I can't leave my children by themselves with this imminent war...

I only control storms. If I do something, it will be great.

That's a problem. However, there's a cave at east of the beach. I met you there?

Oh... the haunted cave? Two cat girls disappeared there...

Haunted... I know it as Wonder cave...

_So you're one of the cats... H_e doesn't sounded all that surprised.

I looked at my mothers and grinned. "My duty calls me. I will be taking the children with me. May I trust you to have the horde out there trained for the war that is approaching?"

"For sure you can, darling." Magna grinned. "I may be loosing powers, but I'm still a leader at heart. Thyamat once, Thyamat forever."

<Rock! Kids! Get ready! We're going to the beach!> I could feel them cheering as I walked to the entrance.

<Mom?> asked a young female voice. My first daughter, which I called Silverstar, came to me. <I thought we couldn't go too near humans...>

<We're not going so near them, love.> I caressed hir face. This instinctively talking was really easy when you give yourself to it. <And after all, I will be there to grant that everything will be alright.>
