Thunder is all mine.

"Digimon. Incredibly powerful monsters that desire the power of the heart, and will do anything for this power, even attacking those who hold this power. A fight that has been in the making concerning a new Hunter is about to begin..."

Digi-Quartz. The nexus located between the Real World and the Digital World, a place of many things, some interesting, some deadly. At the moment, the focus is on one who has wandered into the post apocalyptic location and is currently trying to find his way to freedom. A forest green dragon standing at seven feet observed the place curiously. Whatever this place was, it eerily resembled his own block that lead to his home. That is, if his path home was covered in moss and patches of digital energy were located in patches around the entire area.

Thunder scanned the area, looking for some way home. With his results bearing no fruit, the dragon sighed, his tail swishing slowly as he decided to lean upon a building, the memories of how he got here flooding back. It was just an average day on the way back from the gym, when all of a sudden, some of the electronics around the area began acting on the fritz. As if it couldn't get any weirder, a portal of some sort had opened up, swallowing the dragon whole. Even though the event had only transpired a half hour ago, it felt like ages since he had no idea where to go, if anyone else was here, or how to get out. "This sucks..." the dragon muttered.

"is that so? Funny. Last guy that wandered here was like a hyperactive rabbit." A voice interrupted. Looking around in a panic, Thunder couldn't find the source of the voice. He looked up on the small building he was leaning on to see someone's legs hanging over. "Coming down!"

It was the only alarm he was given before whoever was up there came jumping down. Diving out of the way, Thunder landed on the ground a few feet away with a grunt. In the same spot where he'd jumped, an anthromorphic clock like monster stood there, the seemingly gold finish now stained and some parts of the clock itself broken. Atop of the clock sat a stout looking human dressed in a pair of jean shorts and a matching jacket. He wore a green visor and a pair of goggles with a rose tinted lens. Before Thunder could ask any questions, the little human spoke. "Now then, I assume you want out, right?"

"Gee, whatever gave you a clue?" Thunder commented as he righted himself, having his tail wipe off any pieces of moss that were stuck to his shirt. He crossed his arms as he stared at the elderly man.

"Well then, before we do that. I have a few conditions I'd like for you to fulfill." A grin began working itself on the man's face. "There's a little friend of mine that I'd like for you to help out. You see, he's in a bit of a jam and he could use some help."

Not even a second after the words were uttered out of his mouth, a roar shook the entire place. Blinking rapidly, Thunder began looking around in a panic, then back at the old man with an incredulous look. He simply gave a look of his own that said that he wasn't joking.

With a sigh, the dragon agreed. "Alright, fine. What do I have to do? And would you mind telling me what...that thing is?"the dragon asked, pointing at the giant clock creature. The clock thing glared at him, but the forest green dragon paid him no mind. With a grunt, the old man leapt off of the clock monster, walking toward the dragon. Putting his arm forward, the dragon noticed that there was something in his boney hands. A white device looking nothing like Thunder had ever seen before. The thing had a light blue screen, a white selector like some seen on an old mp3 player and two black buttons on the side. "I want you to take this Xros Loader, but I will warn you of one thing." He began.

Why warn him of something now? Thunder was pretty much ready to shove the old man and take that thing if it meant getting home. His tail swishing left and right impatiently, the dragon moved his giant hand paw to take the device. Before he could even touch it, the man's free hand was put over the paw with a surprisingly strong grip.

"Digimon are monsters. They will do everything in their power to make you suffer. Those that wander into Digi-Quartz are marked and doomed for the life of a Hunter. You can either accept this fate bestowed upon you, or you are sentenced to wandering around here and most likely dying to the things that lurk in this place. Do you understand?" The elderly man explained in a heavy voice.

Thunder's golden eyes widened. If he didn't accept, he had no chance of going home. If he did, then these "digimon" or whatever they were, were going to go after him like a piece of meat for whatever reason he didn't know about. With a deep gulp, the dragon's paw moved to grip the Xros Loader.

"...I accept. If it means getting home, I'll accept the terms. From what you said, I have a chance of dying either way, but if it gets me home..." Thunder said with a nod. The old man let go of the dragon's handpaw, the Xros Loader glowing in a rainbow of colors before settling to a dark green finish. The dragon took the device and shoved it into his back pocket. Another roar shook the air, startling Thunder. The old man grinned devilishly. "Scared?"

"I'd be lying if I said that I wasn't." he muttered before leaving.

As the dragon left the area, the same grin was on the elderly man's face. "Turned green, huh? Looks like he has no idea what he's in for." He commented. The clock monster began chirping madly, as if he was cackling.

"Just freaking great..." Thunder muttered as he observed the creature below the building, circling around the area like a predator stalking his prey. This entire situation had gone way more out of hand then he had expected. After finding the "digimon" in question, he'd been attacked and he barely got out alive, but he had to sacrifice his shirt, which left him naked from the waist up. The dragon was extremely conservative about his attire, so this was a change he was going to have to deal with for now. Turning around, he and another creature were currently stuck on a rooftop and out of ideas.

The other creature stood at four feet tall, and an armored dragon that currently had a look of annoyance on his face. This was the "friend" that guy wanted him to find. Boss was his name, and he was currently lost and needed a way to get back home and had no idea how to accomplish that. Along the way, he had angered the creature down there, a Growlmon, he called it. A crimson red dinosaur with black markings and a head of shaggy white hair. The dinosaur stood at an amazing sixteen feet tall, not at as tall as the building they were situated on, but the dinosaur looked like he could destroy it easily. The attacks that he used were a testament to that as most of the location was partially destroyed.

"Nice going lizard lips. I almost had him until you showed up!" Boss snapped his jaws.

"Me!? I'm the victim here. A freaking old man told me to help or I had no chance of getting out of here!" Thunder cried back in response, crossing his arm over his bare chest, an irate look on his face. The two dragons glared at each other for a few seconds before they broke eye contact. Either way, they were stuck between a rock and a hard place and needed a way to get the hell out of here.

Taking the Xros Loader out of his back pocket, Thunder glared at, trying to find some way to get it to work or do anything. With a sigh, he swallowed his pride. Arguing over nothing was going to get them just that. "Hey, lizard lips." Thunder spoke up.

The ryudamon turned around to the forest green dragon with a raised brow. "What?"

"How about we team up? We have the same idea in mind. We need to get out of this place and fighting with each other instead of that thing down there is going to accomplish nothing, ya get it?"

Team up? The thought was utterly laughable, but he had a point. That Growlmon wasn't going to get bored of prey that ran, so the only option was to fight, but that thing was insanely powerful. None of his blades could hurt him or even pierce his crimson hide. But how the hell was this guy going to help? Aside from the thing in his paw the looked even remotely interesting, Boss thought of no conceivable way for him to do much of anything. With a grunt, the orange dragon walked over to the taller dragon, putting a paw forward. "Right then. But this is a temporary truce. Once we get this guy gone, I'm out. Got it?"

"Wouldn't have it any other way, Boss." Thunder agreed, shaking the dragon's paw. As soon as the two made paw contact, sparks began flying out of the Xros Loader, a ring of light encompassing both of their paws. The two dragons broke contact, the two rings of light still spinning and the Xros Loader's screen glowing bright.

"...The light of super evolution, huh. As if today couldn't get any weirder." Boss chuckled.

"Evolution? Mind filling in the holes here?" Thunder questioned.

"Just take that thing you have in your hand and swing it once a light pops out and I'll take over from there." Boss said as he began walking toward the edge of the roof. The Growlmon had let out another roar as he began attacking the building with his tail, the concrete building shaking. "Hurry up! I don't think the idiot is going to wait any longer!"

With a nod, Thunder gripped his Xros Loader, the screen emitting a ring of dark orange. With toothy grin, he swung his over his shoulder, a stream of light and the same rings circling his entire body. Today had started out so normal, and here he was teaming up with one monster to attack another one. The thoughts flowing through his head, he didn't even notice the words he cried out. "Ryudamon..."

"Chou Shinka!"
