All right guys, this is a second story line that I decided to write. Originally was going to put this in with my first book however I thought it might be more interesting to make people wonder what happened. Which will be told in a backstory first half then will reveal all of it further along.

CHAPTER 1

"Honey, will you please get the newspaper while you are up?" Daphne called to Alva from the dining room as she went about having breakfast with their two children. Alva all ready finishing up cleaning the kitchen and cooking breakfast for his family and was about to join them when he got the request. With his wife working during the night, he took care of their two girls and Alva found comfort in the task at hand however something weighed heavily on his mind at that moment.

It had been about a year since he had told Tirol, his best friend and a person that he considered as a brother for a number of years, to never come around his family home again. Now the friends have always had arguments in the past before and had stayed friends nevertheless Tirol's last visit was one thing that changed everything for the friendship.

Tirol had showed up with an almost mysterious woman that Alva had never met before standing behind him with a kind face upon her being; Alva didn't feel that she could be trusted for anything. Nevertheless, he welcomed both into his home with open arms asking how his old friend was as neither had been able to chat with each other for some time.

Sitting down, the four chatted with Alva's daughters greeting Tirol like an Uncle although the couple had asked him to become their eldest daughters Godfather. He had kindly declined because he didn't feel like he was the right choice for the job; however that didn't stop the two from considering him as one.

Everything seemed to go well when Tirol went about explaining to Alva and Daphne that he wouldn't be around town any longer as he had been offered and taken a job in a different location. Once there, he had met the mysterious woman whose name is Miri having been chosen as her bodyguard and in short time his fiancée.

When he had asked where and when the wedding knew that the family would want to attend it, Tirol offered a smile letting them know that the date and time had yet to be decided. However when Alva asked what kind of job Tirol being a bodyguard with did he turns secretive about things not revealing it. What made things confusing was the fact that he told them that it was top secret even if they were friends he couldn't really tell them what he did with what he claimed without ruining their lives here forever.

When Alva went outside to smoke wanting to continue chatting with his friend leaving Miri and Daphne to talk, he figured that Tirol would be more open with the mysterious woman not there. However that wasn't any different.

"Alva, trust me I wouldn't be able to tell you, if I did you wouldn't believe any of it." Tirol explained looking pained about it.

"Does that woman have something to blackmail you from telling the truth?! Is that it?!" he asked in a distressed voice.

"I am sorry, my friend...it's complicated, I can't explain." Tirol said. And the whole thing went downhill after that in which the two departed on bad terms. Nowadays, Alva found himself regretting the last words that he had with his once friend.

Letting out a sad sigh as he headed for the front door remembering how he didn't even go to the wedding even after Tirol had sent an invite to him showing that he had no hard feelings toward Alva, he went about ignoring it. That was the last that he had heard from Tirol and it was a lot harder on him. Closing his eyes for a brief second before he pulled the door open to find Tirol standing there bruise, bloodied and clearly exhausted ready to collapse on the ground from the possible loss of blood and who knows what.

"TIROL!" Alva called barely catching his friend before he fell to the ground. "Daphne! Call for an ambulance!"

"NO!" Tirol yelled as his friend helped him inside passing the startled children and Daphne as he was helped into one of the bedrooms in the back away from the children allowing Tirol to lie down on the cushion.

"Who did this to you, pal?"

"Pack...exiled...Miri...my child..." he tried to explain however he found himself on the verge of tears from just the memories.

"You need to go to the hospital, you don't look well." Alva told him taking an inventory of Tirol's wounds that he could see. It was apparent that he was indeed been beaten and slashed by something sharp that impacted on his body.

"Protein is the only thing that I need and I should be fine." He answered through pain voice and sobs clearly in some kind of pain and or suffering causing Alva to wonder what his friend had experience.

"What? Come on, pal-"

"Some kind of meat will be fine...trust me." Tirol told his friend causing Alva to shrug in helplessness knowing that there was no talking him out of it. Going back into the kitchen where extra portions of the breakfast plating up bacon, ham and egg before bringing it back to the bedroom putting it down in front of Tirol.

Before he could ask any more questions, Alva stood back in surprise as Tirol went about eating the meat in quick chomps and even further of a surprise when the once fresh wounds began to quickly heals over completely leaving no evidence of them ever being there except for the traces of blood. "Okay, what's going on? You were clearly wounded and now you are healed after eating that."

"You wouldn't believe me even if I told you." Tirol answered feeling the pain and numbness slowly leave his body allowing him to become relaxed once more.

"Try me." His friend told him sitting down as Daphne took her leave to attend the children leaving the two friends. All Tirol could do was sigh and start explaining everything from the beginning in which he met Miri and what happened the last night of her Heat as he called it. Alva took great care in listening to every word however when Tirol got to the night of his first full moon did him call everything to a stop. "You are a werewolf? They aren't real."

"Ha, that is what I said until I saw Miri change right in front of me...that's when I became a believer."

"All right, if you are one like you claim, change right now in front of me."

"Let me get some rest for a while, I have been running back here for the past 6 hours." Tirol answered allowing his head to rest back on the pillow his eyes already closing before Alva could say anything forcing him to drop the subject. Letting out a sigh before moving toward the door hitting the light to darken the room to allow his friend to get some proper sleep before closing the door behind him.

Out in the family with the girls coloring allowing for Daphne to sit at the table looking at papers that were sitting there mysteriously appeared. Alva was about to ask where the papers had come from until he saw the bag that was seated next to Daphne's chair that he quickly recognized as it belonging to Tirol when he showed up.

"What's all of that?" he asked plopping down on one of the chairs that seated at the table picking up some of the papers in one of the stack.

"Don't know, most of this are reports on someone named Jason included are known locations and hideouts to something dealing with a major blood bank located in Washington state." She said going through the files pulling out a single piece of paper that looked like a personal message. "However this is what concerns me...it's from a doctor that sent it to Tirol about 3 days ago..."

Looking down at the message, Alva tells terrible for his friend as one part of the mystery flew open quickly by the message:

Tirol,

I am sorry after all that you have been through right now but it is my regret that I thought you may want to know this. If we had gotten to Miri a lot sooner...we may have been able to save the child. I am truly sorry for your loss.

However we were able to close up the ruptures that Miri had sustained during the incident and her natural healing abilities has made sure that her womb and reproductive organs are still in healthy shape and will still allow for you both to have children.

Again I am sorry for your loss especially given the past months events, please contact me if you would like to talk or having any questions, or concerns.

Thank you,

Dr. Mitchelle
