Rachel's hunt for a decent roommate continues!

The next one she tells Jade about is a Rabbit, who's impressive strength holds back many secrets.

This is the last part of this three-part story arc, I hope you all enjoyed it!

Rachel glared at her computer's loading bar, now at a pathetic 50%.

"I've told you about that Possum, right, Jade?" She called out.

Jade lay back on the bed, smiling at her. "Yeah, you did."

"Ok, what about that Cat?"

"Hah! Oh yeah!"

Rachel turned around, and smiled back. "Great, because this next one was even worse."

"Worse than that Possum? Oh man, I can't wait to hear what you did to her!"

"Actually, she wasn't that bad, compared to the rest. Her boyfriend, however..." _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Rachel lay down on the sofa, using the round end of her TV remote in a way that certainly wouldn't have been covered by the warranty.

"Yo, Rachey!" She recognized that voice. The tone, the intonation, it could only be Toby.

"Ladies and gentlemen" He announced loudly, as he walked into the room without knocking, "We have our next contestant for our gameshow, "Who can spend more than three days rooming with Rachel?". He was closely followed by a White Rabbit, who's expression showed she clearly didn't share the same enthusiasm that he did.

When Rachel heard them come in, she quickly sat up, placing the TV remote down on the desk.

Toby handled the introductions, or at least tried to. "Bianca, this is Rachel, Rachel, this is your new victim. Enjoy!" He walked out, slamming the door behind him.

Rachel decided to try and make friends with this one, because for some reason she was never sure about, she usually got along well with Rabbits, Cats, and anything else that has a reputation for being sexually active. "Hi, I'm Rachel Newberry." She happily extended her left arm for a friendly handshake.

Bianca seemed to examine the hand before shaking it. She squeezed it tightly, purely to show off her strength. "Left handed, huh? Great. Anyway, I'm Bianca, nice to meet you."

Rachel smiled back, in a lot of pain. "Wow, that's a strong grip!"

"Yeah, well, ...yeah." She shrugged, not expecting that reaction.

At that point, they both started sizing each other up. Bianca looked slim and athletic, and quite muscular. She seemed rather amused at Rachel's thin, weak, hybrid body.

When she was done, Bianca asked "What are you, anyway?"

"Guess." She responded, tired of people asking that question.

"Well, looking at your shape, form, physique and height, I'd have to say... some kind of Cat?"

Rachel burst out laughing, and farted loudly as she did so. "Wrong!"

She covered her nose in disgust, and narrowed her eyes. "Wonderful, I'm stuck with a skunk again."

"Again? What, you mean your last roommate was a skunk? What species was it?"

Bianca sighed, and looked out the window. "She was a Hooded skunk, she was thirty-something, and she was morbidly obese. Seriously, I could have thrown her through a window, and she'd have bounced a few times, before landing on her ugly, greedy little face, and smashing it up." She looked back at Rachel, examining her again. "Well, at least you look nice enough."

"Uh... Thanks?" Rachel wasn't sure if she was being insulted or complimented.

"So anyway, I've never been that into the whole "species" thing, but still, I've never seen anything like you before."

"Oh, right." She stood up proudly, her bushy tail in the air. "I'm a hybrid, actually. Half Skunk, half Squirrel. Hybrids actually aren't as bad as people think. I blame the hybrid stereotype on books and TV. You know, the one where the hybrid is always crying in a corner, moaning about how much it sucks to be different, and the only one of their kind, and stuff. To be honest, I like how I look." She stroked her white-striped tail, which started off brown at the base, but changed to black as it got to the tip.

Bianca stared at her silently for four seconds, then said "Great."

There was another awkward silence, seventeen seconds long.

"So, Bianca, what do you like to do in your spare time?"

"I work out."

"Anything else?"

"I like The Pirate Party."

"That sitcom about the pirates living together, dating, and sometimes boat-fighting?"

"Yes."

"Ok, who's your favourite character?"

"Bork."

"The big guy that doesn't talk much?" Bork was her least favourite character, simply because she never liked the dumb characters on TV shows. She preferred the loveable rogues, the criminal masterminds, or the happy girl who's always happy, and never gets sad. Those ones were her favourites.

"Yes."

"So, uh..." Rachel was running out of conversation-starters. "...Have you read any good books recently?"

"Yes."

There was another awkward silence, lasting fourteen seconds.

"...Can you tell me the names of those books?"

"That would take too long."

"So, you read a lot of books?"

Bianca glared at her. "No."

And with that witty parting comment, she went into the kitchen, lied down on the hard wooden floor, and started doing some push-ups. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Later that day, there was a knock on the door. Rachel looked up from her magazine, which according to her, she only read for the articles, and walked to the door. She looked through the peep-hole, and saw a large male Tiger, possibly a bodybuilder. His arms were folded, and he was glaring at the door as if he could somehow intimidate it into opening itself.

She turned, looking into the kitchen, and saw that Bianca was now doing sit-ups. If she was counting correctly, she had done 32 so far.

Rachel didn't trust the Tiger standing outside, but she felt confident that Bianca could probably fight him off if she had to.

While she knew this, she still couldn't stop herself from raising her tail in fear.

She nervously unhitched the first lock, unbolted the second lock, and opened the door.

He glared at her as soon as the door was open. "Finally." He grunted.

He pushed past her, and went into her house.

"Excuse me," Rachel began, "But who are you, and what are you doing in my house?"

"Relax, hot stuff. I'm not here for you. I'm here for Bianca Sagend, she told me she was living here."

"Hot stuff?!" Rachel though to herself furiously.

Bianca walked in, sweaty and tired. "Hey, could you keep it down?"

The tiger looked at her. "Bianca?"

Suddenly, she seemed to be a completely different person. She leaped across the room, and into his arms. "Garde!" She shouted, as she kissed him passionately, wrapping her arms around his torso.

Rachel stared, completely silent. "So... do you two know each other?"

They stopped kissing, and glared at her simultaneously, the silent version of "Yes, captain oblivious."

"Well, I'll just leave you two alone." She grabbed an empty red handbag and a straw hat emblazoned with a fake flower. She left the apartment, and decided to go to the newest nightclub in town. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Later that night, Rachel returned home with her bag ripped, the fake flower ripped off her hat, and several small rips in her clothes. She ran into her apartment, slammed the door shut, and locked both locks.

"Wow. I'm never... going to be allowed... in that nightclub... ever again!" She said while panting, her back against the door.

She went over to the sofa and lay down, breathing heavily, stroking her tail to calm herself. She was never really sure why, perhaps it reminded her of how she had one of the most powerful repellents in creation with her at all times.

She heard some screams of pain coming from the bedroom, and decided to think of that later. She got up, and ran into the room, tail standing on end, and what she saw horrified her.

Bianca was bruised, battered, and getting smacked around the room by Garde. She was crying out in agony, and Garde seemed to be enjoying the screams of pain. He punched her in the gut, then in the face, then grabbed her by the throat and pinned her against the wall. He growled at her, and his face showed that he was getting some sick, twisted, sadistic pleasure from this beating.

"Please... Please stop!" She begged, tears flowing from her eyes.

He smacked her in the face, and shouted "Shut up!"

Rachel winced, her body still racing from the adrenaline of the earlier chase. She had never seen anyone get beaten up so badly. Bianca was clearly in pain, and this jerk was enjoying it, hurting her even more!

He punched Bianca in the gut once more, and she decided she couldn't take it anymore.

Rachel often got into fights, but hen she didn't want to fight, and just wanted to send a message, she'd gas them, humiliating them. However, she could still fight without it, using her squirrel reflexes and speed to her advantage. They were so good, that she could take out a room full of people without lifting her tail. However, the way this man was treating her roommate, she decided that he didn't even deserve the honour of getting his ass kicked by an angry squirrel.

Rachel spun around, her tail standing on end, her rear end facing Garde. She concentrated, and her two spray-nipples, or nozzles, or whatever they were called, poked out from her rear. She inhaled deeply, and grunted.

A thin stream of foul-smelling fluid was ejected from her, and it landed on the front of Garde's shirtless body.

The effect was immediate. He dropped Bianca and stepped back, coughing and gagging. She fell to the ground, moaning in pain. Garde was clearly hurt, but she wasn't done yet.

She sprayed him again, aiming for the face this time. She hit her target, and it landed right in his eyes. In addition to smelling unbearably bad, skunk spray in the eyes really stings.

He screamed in rage and agony, clawing at his face. He seemed to be trying to destroy his nose, to stop himself from smelling that awful, hideous scent that would be stuck on him for the next few weeks.

Rachel still wasn't done. She charged at him, knocking him over, and started scratching his stomach. He certainly wasn't enjoying this anymore, as she felt her claws draw blood.

She was halfway through writing a rude word on his chest, using her claws to scratch scars that formed letters, when she felt somebody knock her over.

"What are you doing?!" Bianca demanded, outraged.

"You were, and he was, so I, and then..." She couldn't talk, adrenaline and revenge overpowering her body and mind.

Bianca slapped her in the face, and shouted "He was my boyfriend! We were enjoying that!"

Rachel felt as if somebody had flipped some sort of switch inside her mind, as all of her rage was suddenly gone, and was replaced by confusion and regret. "You were begging him to stop! He was hurting you!" She stood up straight, talking to Bianca.

"It's all part of the thing! How could you do this to him?!"

"He was hurting you!" she repeated, nervously.

"We enjoyed it! We like pain! Sometimes I hurt him, sometimes he hurts me. Sure, I prefer it when I'm hurting him, but you can't do this! Why do you Skunks always go straight to spraying at the first sign of something not going your way?! I hate you!!!" Bianca thought of all the times she was sprayed back in high school, and how much she trained so that she could kill them within the time limit.

She thought of everything she missed out of, because it went to a skunk who threatened to spray everyone if they didn't get it.

She thought of how Garde had a similar life, and their hatred of skunks was often a topic of conversation at mealtimes.

She thought of everything she hated about this disgusting, useless species, and focused all of her hatred into violence.

She punched Rachel in the face, knocking her back. She stepped back and jumped off the wall, using the momentum to punch her in the stomach even harder. She started kicking her while she was down, hurting her as much as she could before she went in for the kill.

Rachel's mind clicked back into fight-mode, and her guilt was suddenly gone, replaced by disgust and loathing. "You sick freaks!" She screamed, as she rolled onto her knees, her rear end facing her newest target.

Her tail stood on end, and her nozzles, which were still out, sprayed Bianca. She reacted differently to Garde, curling into a ball and weeping silently.

Rachel left the apartment, covering her nose. While she enjoyed the smell of farting, she certainly did not enjoy skunk's spray, especially her own. At that distance, you don't even smell anything, it's just such a sensory overload that you feel your nose burning in unbearable agony.

She got out her old, outdated phone, and texted Toby as she ran down the stairs, "I sprayd Bianca and her abusive BF. did it to save life. GET OUT!!!!" She didn't really believe that, she just needed an alibi, and someone to protect her. If word spread that she sprayed someone, and it was unprovoked, she would be hunted down like a criminal for the next few hours.

She guiltily glanced at Toby's door, then decided she might as well tell him. She'd have one hell of a bill to pay for the fumigation. She got out her wallet, and prayed to every god available that he would accept an IOU. _______________________________________________________________________________________________________

Jade threw her head back in laughter. "And this actually happened?!"

Rachel smiled guiltily. "Oh yeah. Just check his back balance, you'll see the thousand-pound loan he took out to get the building cleaned. The cleaners didn't really do a good job, by the way. The whole place still stunk for weeks."

"So, have you heard from those two since?"

"Well, there was supposed to be a lawsuit, but it was rejected when they found out that those people enjoyed the pain. Obviously, the judges aren't into that sort of thing!"

Jade laughed again. "It's a good thing, too. It would be one hell of a controversial case! "Confused Hybrid who thought she was doing the right thing, VS A non-married couple that enjoy some weird stuff"? Or, "two people's love was interrupted by an evil trigger-happy Skunk"? Man, I'd love to see how the internet would react to that case!"

"It'd probably react the usual way."

"A flame war?"

"You bet your feathers there'd be a flame war!"

"And you can bet your tail that I'd be right!"

They both laughed again, and hugged.

"I love you, Rachel."

"I love you too, Jade."

Rachel kissed Jade on the right side of her beak. "By the way, the story isn't even over yet."

She smiled back, and stretched her wings. "Nobody's story is truly over."

"Oooh, that was a good one." She got out a pen and some paper, and quickly wrote it down.

"So, are you going to finish that story?"

She smiled her adorable, untrustworthy, but sexy smile. "Nobody's story is truly over."
