I looked at other TV channels all news about the dragon. The dragon itself was quite, as if it was waiting for something. Most dragons would be roaring like mad growling breathing fire and trying to escape or eating anything around it, this one wasn't then I saw why. It was chained down; both back legs where chained with elephant chains, when a female elephant goes into season, they keep the males away by chaining there legs down, unless they do want young ones, but if they don't they chain them up to stop them breeding, the dragon's front legs where the same chained down, the neck though wasn't. It looked sad, I felt sad.

Lexus yawned tried from his little sleep he then saw the TV, he looked at the dragon on the TV screen and called, it was a small little roar the kind a kitten makes, cute but then on the TV the dragon moved, only moving its neck, as if it had heard little Lexus's call from so many miles away. The dragon did nothing though, just lifted its head up a bit then put it back down again letting out a breath of smoke.

I turned the telly off, I knew what I had to do, I had to plan how to get in there and set him and the eggs free, but as I thought how to, mum came in.

I looked and panicked, I stuffed Lexus up my shirt, he wriggled as I walked, this tickled, I tried to keep the giggling to a low but Lexus was crawling all over me as I walked past mom, she was in the kitchen and then she noticed the cookie bin was open, I giggled loudly as I got to the bottom of the stairs she coughed and asked me, "Did you have a snack?" She asked me as I put my hands over Lexus to stop him moving. "Yes, I got a bit hungry so I had a cookie" I lied as I felt Lexus move again, "4 cookie's you mean you piggy! Oink, oink"

She petted me on my head, I giggled but not from this from Lexus moving around under my shirt, his feet where like little pads so every time he moved it tickled me like a father duster but more warmer.

I ran to my bedroom, he crawled out and coughed, he had been chocked a bit from where I put my arms over him, I stroked him and he looked at me purring, he'd soon forgiven me, I then looked over the internet for local zoo's.

I found out where the dragon was but I couldn't find where the eggs where. I got the plans for the zoo, from the internet, its great the internet, you can find anything if you just look, as I looked on the map of the area where the zoo was I circled where the dragon was, I then saw Lexus looking on, almost like he was studding the map, he came over and put his paw on an area which was fencing, I looked at him and he looked at me as if to say, there is a weak point there.

We planed out the whole night, how to get in how long to free the dragon, where to store the dragon was a hard part but we decided a field, then we got ready, we'd strike at midnight.

We looked for stuff, mum and dad where watching telly once they sit in front of that box there glued to it. I went into the medicine cabinet and found some sleeping pills, when I was born dad had trouble sleeping so took these. In the mean time Lexus had crawled down the stairs being careful not to bash into the hat rack again like last time, and grabbed some rope and a bolt cutters from the garage. I then made a cup of tea and put it in a flask added the crushed pills to the mix. I then noticed Lexus pulling the bolt cutters to me he was about to drop them which would make a noise I picked them up just before he dropped them, he then ran back into the garage. I put the bolt cutters in my rucksack along with the flask. I then grabbed some food for the dragon as the people there didn't know what to feed him or might not have feed him. Lexus then returned and put something in my bag, I didn't know what but he put it in then got into my rucksack. I called to my parents that I was going out to a friends, they called back I didn't listen to what they said. I got on my bike and took Lexus out from the rucksack and put him under a blanket in the basket on my bike and headed to the zoo.

I biked for hours looking at the map for how to get there and then at 11 at night we got the zoo. Outside the zoo where loads of TV vans, all of local news channels and some from other country's all here to report on the dragon.

I creped slowly to the area where Lexus had pointed out on the map, I'd left my bike in the bushes to hide it so if anyone was walking around the perimeter they wouldn't know. I then looked on the blueprints or looked at a bit of paper; the one thing I'd forgotten to bring with me was a touch even though nearly ever birthday I'm given one. I then looked and felt around then I felt a missing bar and there exactly where Lexus had pawed out on the map was a gap. I looked, it was like someone had cut the bar away or something had gone though it, there was tape on no idea what kind and a sign saying something but it was too dark to read it so it was unreadable, I just looked and crawled in fitting though the gap as if it was made for me.

What the sign was or had said was "danger deep slope", but the ink had run from being there for so long as it was dark so I couldn't read it, I then went though the gap more expecting there to be ground but nope it was a slope. I slide down and hit the ground with a thud, the FBI there looked but thought it was an animal; animals always rustle bushes or make strange noises.

As I got up and checked myself over for damage from the fall/slide I was okay, just muddy, I then looked and saw a shed, it read janitor, I went inside and got an idea on how to free the dragon.

I looked around in the dark, feeling for a light switch or a touch then I found a touch, I then saw a overall and had a great idea, I changed into the janitor overall suit and found a broom and a cap, I just pass myself off as a janitor who is here to clean up the mess left by the FBI and news crews. I picked Lexus up and put him on my back he then crawled into my bag and held onto the flask.

As I exited out of the shed I looked at the map and followed until I got near the dragon I then started to sweep, "HOLT HOW GOES THERE!?" One of the FBI guys held his gun up to me, "Don't mind me, you lot I'm just sweeping up the mess made by you lot and the news" I sweep up the cups of coffee and remains of food on the floor. "Sorry, but who are you?" The other guy asked the one who shouted at me still had the gun draw on me, "Just the janitor, would you two like a cup of tea?" I asked as I reached for the flask which Lexus pushed up out of the rucksack with his back feet. "Oh please, we've not been off juity for ages and not had a drop of tea for ages"

I poured them out a cup of tea with the sleeping pills in them, they took the cups and drank it down, and ahhing at the taste then feel to the floor and dozed.

I then got the rope out that I'd also found in the shed and tried them up, Lexus grabbed the keys off one of the guards, I didn't see this, I then grabbed there legs and pulled them into a bush Lexus helping by pushing there guns under a bush.

The dragon was asleep when I got to the door, I opened the door and Lexus called out, the dragon woke, but moved only his head to keep quite. He growled and looked at me, Lexus then crawled very quickly over to the dragon and rubbed agents him. He purred at the rubbed agents the dragon; the other one just licked him and purred. I moved slowly in, again the dragon growled, I bowed, it was polite to bow to anything or one, the dragon then looked at me and lowed his head too, a reply bow. I then moved in and looked at him, he was a great dragon fully sized and in bad shape.

His colours where jet black, the kind that fighter jets are colored, his underside was a very nice silver, the shiny new kind, but both where hard to see, I only knew this from shining the touch on him. I then got from my rucksack the food and bolt cutters.

The dragon munched away on the food while he did I tried to brake the blots, it was like trying to cut though hardness. The bolt cutters did cut nothing, they made a mark but not though and though, I was trying hard to brake just one chain link but Lexus kept pulling at my trouser leg, I just said "no, bad Lexus let me work", then I herd a voice.

"He's only trying to help you"

I stopped and looked around, I then saw the dragon, he was talking but into my mind, it was strange as if because I'd been around Lexus I'd understood him and his langue.

I looked down and in Lexus's mouth was the keys, I then put the bolt cutters away in the rucksack. as I undid the locks the guards awoke and saw me in here they called for back up I was on the last lock. The dragon roared loudly and with one yank of his hind leg broke the blots, I was then picked up and he flew. Gun fire hailed and light up the night sky they where shooting at his wings, I could see they where damaged. Lexus held onto my foot, I managed to pick him up and put him in the rucksack but in doing so I was shot in the arm.

The pain of being shot was bad; I held my arm as the dragon held me in his arms.

The FBI sent there planes after us, but the dragon just turned and breathed fire burning one of there planes to a crisp and they ran, I mean come on, what would you do? Would you want to bring a dragon down and have the fame or been burnt alive in your plane, which would be your coffin until they found your black box?

We landed far away from the zoo in a field. The dragon dropped me and feel to the ground tried, the food had given him enough strength to do the flying and that cool fire ball, but he was now tried, I was too, but more from the bullet hit, Lexus noticed this and cried rubbing agents me.

I held my arm and comforted Lexus, the dragon then got up, just enough to roll over and onto his back panting like mad. I then looked at his wings, they where torn and looked bad, I don't know if that was from the gun fire of if was just old age but either way they had ripped more from the flying.

I found in my rucksack a sowing kit, back at the house Lexus had grabbed it this must have been the other item he put into my rucksack as we left. I knew how to sow thank to mom, my mom showed me when I was 14 she was sick and tried of me making holes in my trousers. I put the dragon's wing in my lap, it was strange, it felt like leather, but at the same time it was warm, I shock my head and sowed like mad on the right wing.

The dragon just purred thought out, he was weak and tried, his wings would twitch every time I missed this was from the wound, I would say stop that, and he would. The sun started to come up and I could see where we had landed, in a field of grass. I then got up after finishing the right wing and feel to the floor, the bullet in my arm had weakened me and sowing was really tiring, Lexus then licked my face, I opened my eyes, he was blurred I couldn't see him, I just uttered out in a weak last breath voice, "Your safe now Lexus, I, I, saved you"

I then closed my eyes and started to sleep I could only just feel Lexus lick me, but each lick was softer and lighter, I then couldn't feel him at all. I started to dream, I was on a cloud, it was white and fluffy, it felt so nice like cotton candy but like cotton wool, I then looked and saw the basket of eggs, they where hatching egg shells flaking off, they then did!

I looked and inside wasn't dragons, but two notes, one said an address the other was a map, I then saw them turned into fire, I tried to grab the ashes, but they went into my pockets, I then looked and saw nothing just black, I then felt a more warmer bigger tongue licking me like a dogs, big and constant, but dry and rough like a cats, I then woke up.

I looked, we where still in the field, I then felt nothing, no pain in my arm, I looked and the wound and bullet was gone, I then saw the dragon I was lying on him, Lexus was on my lap, I stroked him and he purred.

"I have healed your wounds" He said looking at the bullet. "who are you?" I asked still confused but wanting to know. "my name is carrier, I have no real name, we are born to do one thing, carry mothers and fathers eggs to other places, I was on my way to another place and thought I'd take a short cut though earth". "I'd hadn't been that way for ages, since the middle ages, everything changed, the next thing I know, three wingless things are attacking me, I landed or was shot down into the zoo, which from what I remember last time was a big area of dirt, I was then drugged with something and when I woke up I was chained up, and my eggs where gone"

He started to cry, I then thought of my dream and looked in my pocket and there where the two bits of paper, both with what I'd seen in my dream on them I was shocked but happy.

Lexus woke up and purred and rubbed agents me as I was awake and better. He then went off and played in the long grass, I'd brought along the lead so he couldn't go very far, as he explored the field, I got to work on the other wing of carrier.

By the time I was done the wings of the dragon where fixed, carrier got up and flapped them, the breeze was great, like a cooling gust of wind, Lexus then flapped his wings so small but cute, he then landed tried out from flapping them.

I then showed carrier the paper, he then looked and had no idea, but I knew where it was. Lexus then moaned and held his belly, I then held mine, I was hungry, carrier then coughed and gagged and out came some fish, well I say fish it was more a paste, but I didn't care, I had nothing for ages so I ate it, Lexus did the same. While we did this, carrier looked on, the sky was getting dark, we'd either have to go during the night or morning. Night was the best time, we walked and sheltered under some trees in a wood, me and Lexus dozed but not carrier, he stayed awake and watched the skies keeping an eye out for those wingless things. Before I went fully to sleep, he was looking and was doing something, I don't know what though, he had his eyes closed, was he sending out an SOS? Or was he trying to get more dragons to help him? All I knew is that those eggs in that place on the map where most possibility like Lexus, hatched and hungry or at the worse, dead. I put that aside and lie down on the fallen pine tree leaves, they where soft and warm, Lexus then purred and curled up to me and we dozed carrier still watching the skies as the sun set.
