Ozzen gives Sabot a present for his birthday, but then gets a surprise himself.

In The Pink

The bear looked back and forth between the two presents sitting on the table, both in identical white boxes with pink ribbons, a whirl of thoughts going through his head about which was the right one to pick.

"Umm, that one....?" Sabot asked the raccoon as he pointed to the present on the right side of the table.

Ozzen giggled. "Really? You want that one? Interesting."

"Uh, no, wait...that one!" Now he pointed to the present on the left.

"Oh, hmm, yes, I guess you would choose that one, though I am a bit surprised." The gray and black raccoon slowly reached for the present the bear had not chosen, but kept smirking at Sabot as his black paw hovered over the gift.

"Ahh! No! This one!" Finally the bear grabbed the present out from under Ozzen's paw, and guarded it tightly in his big arms.

The raccoon grinned wide and chuckled. "So be it." He removed the present on the left side of the table and placed it next to him on the couch. Ozzen swished his tail and addressed the bear eagerly. "Well then, open it!"

Sabot took a deep breath, removed the ribbon, and opened the box. What he pulled out was large, pink, and had ruffles around the middle. "Oh! You didn't?!" The bear practically squealed in delight. He stood up and held the garment up to his torso, as if trying to imagine how pretty he would look in the stretchy pink fabric. "I'm going to go try it on!"

The bear rushed out of the room before Ozzen could call after him. "Don't forget the tiara and slippers!" He sat back in the couch and smiled. The bear would just have to put them on when he got dressed.

In hardly any time, Ozzen heard some shuffling down the hall where Sabot had retreated, and was surprised as the bear took a flying leap into the living room, landing with a large boom that seemed to shake the whole room. At this, he placed his large paws over his head, did a little twirl, and finally bowed to the raccoon to indicate he had finished his dance.

Laughing and clapping with equal enthusiasm, Ozzen gave a toothy grin. "I dare say you are as graceful as a bear ought to be!"

Sabot stuck out his tongue. "I'd like to see you do better!"

The small gray and black raccoon smirked and shook his head. "Sorry, not what you chose." Before Sabot could reply, Ozzen fished out the slippers and tiara from the packed, and handed them to the bear. "You forget these, oh elegant one."

The bear quickly rectified his missing accoutrements and posed once again. "So, how do I look?" He had both arms above his head again, only now the pink and silver tiara glistened in the light of the room, his large legs were close together, ending in pink slippers that tied up to the mid of his shin with long pink ribbons, and the ruffled pink tutu sticking out from the stretched pink material of the body suit made for quite an image.

Ozzen stifled a snort. "You look like you're ready for your ballet lessons."

Sabot gazed down at the raccoon with an almost offended expression. "What ever are you talking about? I'm good enough to be teaching ballet lessons!"

Ozzen didn't ever try to suppress his laughter. "Good luck finding a class, Mr. Bear!"

As the raccoon giggled to himself, Sabot lowered his arms and smiled slyly to himself. "Oh, I'm sure I can find a willing participant or two." He sat down in the chair, trying not to crease the tutu, and leaned forward. "I wonder what is in the other package, though?"

Ozzen waggled a finger at the bear. "Uh, uh. You only got to choose one. That was the deal."

Sabot nodded, as if accepting the raccoon's rebuttal, but continued on. "Tell you what, if I can guess what it is, I get to open that present too."

The raccoon thought for a moment, then leaned in towards the bear. "And what do I get if you can't?"

The bear thought for a moment, then grinned. "If I can't, then I'll wear this to the mall."

A devilish smile crossed the raccoons muzzle, as if he truly enjoyed that mental image. "Sure. Why not?" Ozzen leaned back in the couch to receive the bear's guess. "What do you think is in the package?"

Sabot hardly waited for him to finish asking. "Another ballerina outfit. Only this one would be raccoon sized."

As Ozzen came out of the bathroom, he was pretty sure his face was just about as pink as the outfit he was wearing. "Why did I think this would be a funny gift for you?"

Sabot, who was waiting expectantly in the living room, beamed with delight. "Funny?! Oh my, no! That is adorable!" At this, he pranced over, making good use of his tutu, and put a raccoon sized tiara on Ozzen's head. "Also, I love the fluffy diaper underneath!" Sabot grinned even wider as he gazed down at the noticeable bulge puffing out the pink outfit below the ruffled tutu.

Ozzen instinctively grabbed at the tutu and pulled it down to try and cover the obvious bulk of the diaper, which only made him look more like a cute little cub.

"Aww! Don't be shy. You look perfectly lovely!" The bear patted the puffed out diaper, making it crinkle a little as he did so.

Ozzen batted the bear's paw away and grumbled. "I'm glad you're enjoying this, but now you've had your laugh, so..."

Before the raccoon could finish his thought, Sabot interjected. "You know, I am enjoying this. But it would be such a shame to keep it to myself. Don't you think?" He didn't wait for Ozzen's thought on the subject and grabbed the raccoon by his little black paw. "I think we ought to show these off at the mall, like you suggested."

"Wait! You guessed right, so you don't have to go to the mall in your outfit. We could just stay here and watch a movie or play Jenga?" Ozzen knew it was a lame attempt to alter the bear's intent, but he didn't fancy the idea that he would be the sillier of the two of them in a crowded mall, which is saying a lot when you're talking about heading out somewhere with a giant bear in a punk tutu and tiara.

Sabot merely picked up the struggling raccoon with one strong arm, flung open the front door, and stood in a brazen stance that showed he was ready to show the world what he was made of; pink lace and sequins.

"No, in a manner of speaking, we were both right. I guessed that you had a precious little ballerina outfit for yourself, but I didn't guess that you had a fluffy diaper to go along with it." He crinkled the diaper again. "So, I'll wear my wonderful gift to the mall, and you can keep me company!"

If Ozzen protested any more, and he most certainly did, it was lost beyond the front door of the house. Sabot closed it with a snap, and with all the grace a bear can muster, jumped and danced all the way down the street towards the mall.
