It all happened in an instant, and in that instant new beings a being were born, the Mutants. Most are good, some are bad, and something is coming for them. Join Shera as she partners up with a new punk mutant to help save Earth from it's first threat.

"Unstable"
It all started twenty years ago, it started as any normal day and night around Earth, people got up to go to work or laid down to rest their bodies for the night but that day everything would change for the human race. On September 23, 2023 ten strange spheres fell from the sky above and landed on the earth below. No one knew what it was and when they opened up something strange happened, the people around it and in the building surrounded them collapsed. All around the world people fell ill, but what was stranger was that scientists couldn't figure out what caused them all to fall ill. After an investigation of the exposed area they concurred that it was radiation of some kind. Was it a attack from another country, possibly, but that theory was put to rest after what happened next.
It was a miracle, all the people who were exposed were better in a matter of months with no side effects whatsoever. Something wasn't right, further investigations had to be done to the spheres. While they studied the objects they kept an eye on the patients. Something wasn't right with them, they had a strange feeling that something had changed in them. Their research came to a stand still once they made the biggest finding they found in the patients blood. The radiation wasn't hurting them, it was fusing with their DNA, it was preserving their body as it was both inside in out, their bodies and organs would never age, they would live so as long as no one killed them. The biggest discovery was yet to come though.
The senior scientist named Kevin Malcovich kept an eye on his daughter, she to had been contaminated by the radiation after she had finished her shift at the local Wal Mart. Not only was his daughter acting different, but so were the other patients, they were showing signs of powers only found in comic books. Super strength, super speed, had the radiation caused all of it? That was the only explanation, why else would no one else be effected but the patients? Although some thought of this as a disaster waiting to happen others thought of it as an opportunity. Leader from around the world gathered at the U.N to discuss what should be done about the "mutants". Some suggested that they gather them all up and put them in a camp of some sort, but that was rejected due to the number of infected. They had to do something or else the infected wouldn't be able to control their powers. Finally it decided that instead of a camp each country would be required to build one expansive research building where the infected could live and learn to control their powers and maybe even help humanity. Only time would tell, but hey, they had all of eternity.
It was a nice, sunny day in the city of Salem, the sun was up high and everyone was off to their jobs where they would live a normal everyday life. Near the center of the city was the M.S.C or the "Mutant Study Center", a building that was sixty stories high and quite wide. There were numerous testing chambers and training stadiums inside and so far nothing bad had come from it. Today was a pretty special day because they had a few new mutants to study. It had been over two years since the last one came in and now, from what was told, there were three others. It was time to call up Shera. Unlike the scientists she didn't work with chemicals or anything like that, instead she worked on helping the new recruits control their powers. Now Shera was a drop dead gorgeous woman, long dark pink hair, tan skin, not a back body either, and didn't look a day over her age when she was infected, 24, but she did have one flaw, her temper. She absolutely hated it when new recruits disobeyed her orders. She would either threaten them and force them to train with her, or use her super strength and beat their faces in until they were out like a light. Yes she was truly a princess.
All new recruits were held on floor twenty three and kept there as the group of scientists tested their physical and mental strength. There was no time to waist, the sooner she got the update on them the sooner she could get to work on training them.
"Ah, Shara I'm glad you could make it. As you know we have three new specimens here today." Dr. Gerald Jenkins said as she walked over to the window where he was standing.
Inside were two boys and one girl, who all looked pretty healthy, running on treadmills.
"Don't call them specimens, their going to be your friends and you don't them killing you when we greet them."
He gulped a bit, but them turned his attention back to the window.
"Well first we have Alex Luxen, age sixteen when he was infected. His physical strength is average but his mental strength is pretty high up there. We have yet to determine what powers he has yet though so it's probably best to hold off on training him for the time being." he stated
"He might have potential, but his physical strength has to improve before he starts training, get on that as soon as you can."
"We will get on that right away. Well next we have Ashley Pat, age thirteen when she was infected, one of her powers is invisibility, both her physical and mental strength are a little above average, but they could use improving."
"Are there any worth while people here?" she asked as she crossed her arms over her large chest.
"Well~ kind of. Next we have Daren...."
"Daren who?"
"He doesn't have a last name, his name is just Daren. According to him he snuck into the quarantined section of the city and was struck ill by the radiation that still lingered in the area."
"So your telling me we have no info on him at all?"
"Well, he was nineteen when he was infected and he doesn't like anyone to touch the hood of his jacket. That's about all we know, he admitted to having powers but he refuses to tell us what they are. We did test his mental and physical strength though and both are pretty high up."
"So we have a hard ass here huh?" she replied as she cracked her knuckles.
"Just give him time, this is a new life for him so he's probably nervous."
Just as they both were about to head inside to greet the new recruit's the glass window shattered and out jumped Daren. Shera turned around when she heard the glass shatter and watched as he ran down the hall to a nearby window. To make sure he didn't get away they surrounded him and took out the special tazers designed to neutralize mutants powers.
"Look kid, this isn't a game." one of the scientists said as they stepped closer.
"Sorry gramps, I don't play by your rules."
They felt an enormous pressure push against them before they saw him jump through the closed window.
"Call security, we need to retrieve him before he does something terrible!" Gerald yelled
While everyone else was getting up Shera was already on her feet as she watched the punk jump from ground to the top buildings. He certainly could jump.
"Don't worry Shera, we will find him for you."
He didn't see it then but she didn't look the least bit happy. Was this kid serious? If he was there to train he was going to play by her rules.
