The stone steps sounded even louder to Basil's ears as they ran up the ancient slabs set in their winding curve within the great clock tower of the Academy, and the speed on its own was enough to make the young tiger feel faint.

"Come on!" Rufus beckoned, his own striped paw squeezing on Basil's as the steps flew underneath the two robed figures. "Hurry!"

Basil's heart thumped against his ribs as they kept on going the seemingly endless stairs, ascending the magnificent spire at a rapid pace. He was breathing had as well, more keen on the books than the errands of the body, and already quite out of breath.

It helped nothing at all that every step brought the soft cloth of his undergarments against the length of his aroused prick, standing upright from his sheath and now stroked with each movement he made. The brush of cloth against his barbs would've been enough on their own to cause the tiger's highly strung state, let alone the surprise run instigated by his comrade, Rufus, going up the stairs with a spring to his tail that could be barely seen swaying under the hem of his brown apprentice robes.

They said you had to go around the central core of the tower forty times before you would reach the top and its great gallery where the immense bronze bells hung. Basil had seen the ropes and the counterweights hanging onto them, the ropes as thick as his thigh, and the weights big as a horse, suspended many myriad of yards from the ground in this mysterious contraption.

Basil was quite sure that they had already gone up at least two dozen rounds.

Finally, Rufus, his friend, stopped, leaning against a patch of light on the inner wall that was cast by a slit-like window opening on the wall. He was breathing heavily as well, loud in the confined space of the stairway and the stone that surrounded them from all sides. The echoes made Basil's whiskers shake.

"Finally," Basil declared as he breathed heavily and pressed a paw over his chest to control the sting he felt there from the sudden exercise.

Rufus, leaning on the wall and smirking at his fellow striped cat, grinned confidently, like he always did.

"And we are right on time I reckon, Basil," the tiger smiled.

Basil could not help but smile back, always affected by the easy, mischief attitude of his fellow cat, and the way his eyes shined in low light such as the one presently inside the tower.

"You think?" the tiger flicked a humored ear.

"Oh yes," Rufus rumbled at his compatriot.

The tiger stepped away from the wall, leaving Basil no time to react before the tall, handsome cat was upon him again, kissing and stroking his paws down the tiger's back. Basil purred into the kiss. The sound turned into a moan when their bodies met properly, showing both of them that he other was still just as aroused as before, when they had first kissed and fondled each other behind the aqueduct. If only the novices hadn't come up the path from the kitchen garden, there would not have been a need for this mad dash here, up the tower. At least Basil had to take it that Rufus was resourceful, if nothing more.

And with nimble, swift paws that were untying the cord of his robe and slipping within the warm layers of cloth, stroking against the mound of flesh he found. Basil purred and felt his claws grip into the sides of his friend's robe, making sure he would not leave. Their purrs and rumbles filled their ears.

"Soon," Rufus nibbled on Basil's ear, bringing more moans from his friend's throat, a piece of his anatomy that vied for attention from the tiger's eyes as well. He wanted to hold him down there, deep down on an instinctual level...but he also knew that apprentices could not go parading the halls with bites on their necks.

"Please!" Basil purred, his eyes half open and his muzzle open for purrs as he was caressed and tasted.

"The clock will strike soon," Rufus breathed between clenched teeth.

"Yes!" Basil moaned.

"We won't have much time," Rufus breathed against his friend's face, pressing their bodies together, with Basil's back up to the wall the sun had warmed before. Their tails lashed out.

"We won't need much," Basil breathed out, kissing his friend eagerly for all he could.

Strong paws held onto his shoulders and guided him to turn now. Basil's paws instinctively moved to brace against the wall, and he felt a lick of tension go through his body, from his ears to the tip of his tail that was swishing against the cool stone steps underneath them. There was only just enough space for his footpaws side by side on one of the big steps.

The paws now travelled down his back and tugged onto fistfuls of cloth, pulling on his robes insistently. Basil's breathing had not gone down a notch since they had arrived, and now it became tinged with purrs under this fast, rough treatment from his friend.

"Soon," Rufus spoke hotly behind him.

BOOOOOOOOOONG!

The first chime of the great evening bells resonated through the tower, flattening their ears. It was not loud enough to make teeth clatter and eyes water as they had been told if you were standing right next to the bells when they began to toll, but still, it was still more intense than they had thought it would be. Basil's maw fell open in surprise, but his exclamation drowned into the higher-pitched din of the baby bell, accompanying the tremendous boom of the main bell, that would be struck for every hour that had passed yet for this day.

Rufus, momentarily stunned by the potency of the noise, did not stay still for too long. Added fumbling with their robes revealed a length of pink against the backdrop of the brown cloth. The sudden coolness made him gasp briefly, but only quickly. Soon he would be warm again.

Rufus stepped close to his friend and wasted no time, for he knew there was not more than what the bells would allow them, and he did not want to hurry more than was absolutely necessary. He already had to bite his lip, however, even from the feeling of guiding his leaking tip between the two round halves of the striped rear he could barely see from under the mess of cloth he was holding up to make vital space for his actions. He was being guided by sensation only, and that was not such a poor state of things, he thought, dwelling into the warmth and silky furs for only a second before he discovered more heat and bare flesh.

Basil tensed and pushed his paws more firmly against the wall, ready for what was to come.

Rufus rested his head, as if in a prayer, so that his forehead touched Basil's back.

The tiger held his breath and pushed.

"Agh!"

"Aaaah!"

They both snarled and grunted in a rather manly manner, when their masculine union began with the first, shattering moment of intimacy shared between the two males. Rufus was slick and the tip of his spear was pointed and made for entering into tight orifices, but this time, they didn't have much time for love play beyond the act of mating, and whatever slickness there was had to suffice.

He pushed again, and again, and they snarled.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUM!

The bells tolled, drowning in the noises that echoed of the walls, of sounds drawn out of throats by the rough slide of Rufus' hot length into Basil's awaiting opening under his quivering tail. His own prick jumped and spilled into his undergarments, encouraged by the strong sensations emanating from under his tail.

"Oh bless...ahh..."

It didn't matter whom spoke it, the bells made sure that no words could be made out, only vibrations, and the tremor of two bodies, joined in a carnal union by their lust for one another, now expressed in a rough, brief bout of rut in this hidden corner of their Academy. Basil filled his friend's rear and made it throb with sensation, all the while its tightness made him pant and wonder whether he could survive more than a few errand bucks before he was done and dealt with.

Their mating quickly began. Rufus ran his hips into a frenzy and pounded into the tight opening he was taking in lust and desire. The muscular folds kept gripping onto him, seemingly resisting the barbed length's drive into the depths of the tiger. Basil's claws pressed firmly against the stone, almost hard enough to leave marks. The burn was spreading quickly.

The bells rang.

The strange mass of cloth and man moved, faster than the bells, quick and fast. Sweat gathered and furs became ruffled, and the musk filled their noses, just as much as Rufus filled his compatriot's rear with his endowment on each hot thrust. It burned so good.

The sunlight almost had the time to leave their little square of gold amidst grey stone by the time the bells stopped, and Rufus stopped as well, or so it seemed for the tiger who had his hips slamming onto him. The panting tiger held them still for a beat, and then, clutching onto the tiger's shoulders, began to rock them at a pace unseen yet. Basil threw his head back and roared as the heat exploded through him, taking him as thoroughly as the tiger was doing to his backside. Heat spilled out of him and into the fabric of his underwear, soaking them fully. The sensation made Basil's face heat up.

"Ohhhhh!" he complained.

The paws on his shoulders clutched on him tightly as a sure sign that tension was spreading within Rufus' body as well. The tiger's hips wouldn't still even for his pleasure, but kept on thrusting throughout the variety of snarls and grunts and spurts of heat inside Basil's well-used rear.

Their bodies collapsed together, and for a while, they breathed as one. Basil began to purr, softly, especially when he felt a tongue grooming over his lips, as a wordless thankyou for the pleasures they had just shared. Rufus' paws felt firm, too, and he could still feel heat within...no...the heat was moving...

"Ohhh grief..." Rufus groaned as he slid himself out of the slick opening.

Basil gasped and felt his tail flicks down to cover himself, instinctually, while the feeling of heat persisted inside his body. His belly felt slick, too, and hot.

Rufus, ever the kind man as he was, even helped to tug his undergarments up and tie his cords before the two stood on the step, one on each side, as if simply sharing a conversation. They were looking at each other and they were smiling, toothily, just the way mischievous boys were meant to do.

"I think my ears are ringing," Rufus flicked his, smiling still. "Can still hear the bells."

Basil licked his lips.

"Perhaps it is not the bells that are playing wickedly with your senses, Rufus," the tiger grinned.

Rufus patted his friend's cheek with his paw and smiled.

"Next time you can play wicked with me and we'll see whether the ringing will persist," the tiger winked.

Basil's ears lit up with the promise, and added to the trickle of heat that still persisted over his belly. That embarrassment would need dealing with before they could join the rest of their friends for the evening meal, though.

Rufus, it seemed, was on the same mind, for he was soon gesturing for the stairs again.

"The bellmaster's latrine is down by the archway to the right when we get down," the tiger smirked.

They began to descend the stairs, with Basil walking with a noticeably tender gait, and with a paw holding onto the corner of his robe to prevent it from stroking against the damp cloth kissing his fuzzy, slick belly. He chuckled for so many rounds down the stairwell that it prompted Rufus to nudge him with his elbow and demand an explanation.

"Well!" Basil grinned. "The placement of the latrine!"

"What of it?" Rufus smirked, an easy smile that would have been fit for a bedroom, as the current situation warranted.

"Well, if it is for the bell master, and he needs it while he is at his duty...a long way down it is!" the tiger declared bombastically. "And in that condition, the time will feel to run at an especially languid speed!"

Rufus' laughter greeted the next golden light that split the stairway.
