Prologue

Our first contact with a species we didn't know about was an experience that we first revered. We picked up a signal in the middle of summer which signal we couldn't translate in the beginning. We started to translate the signal as days went on and found the signal was broad casted in all languages. The signal was a simple and well thought out one. This one was a message of peace and a cry for help. They needed our help and space to colonize a small portion of our world. We would receive a huge jump in our technology if we accepted. USA responded first and even set aside several spots of land that they could easily use. Many scientists and theorists demanded USA send another message changing it's mind. We had a response and even an incoming craft within days as USA deliberated.

Many other countries replied in fear they would be left behind. We received a message that they were confused and thought USA spoke for the world. They refused to argue with other countries and simpled asked if we could accept them. The United Nations agreed that we must all accept them after we confirmed that they aren't carrying deadly diseases. The ship stood in orbit as the UN deliberated then started sending down vaccines and samples of their physiology. All the world leaders and scientists agreed that we could accept them after looking over the countless information we received. We welcomed them with open arms and smiling faces.

Our faces turned to fear as we saw what they were. They weren't completely human and more looked like our animals from earth. We accepted them as we moved them into warehouses that were made into containment units. We studied them for months before we let them loose. We were more afraid of how society would accept them or kill them off. We created a watch group in order to keep them from harm as a result of this fear.

This watch group became a powerful entity and named it simply AMPK which lead many other watch groups to watch the watch group However, AMPK had a much bigger task then simply peacekeeping. The places we chose didn't fit many of the different species that the aliens represented. The group started to look through differently areas and settled on many parts of the world that came close to making the species comfortable. Thankfully many of the places they found that the locals were willing to accept them. This story takes place in one such location that follows agents from AMPK, a group, and a town as it's swallowed in this new world.

A group of black suits with glasses were standing around as one of them started to talk as they waited in a parking lot in the middle of the desert. "Good to see they chose the best for this task. Right agent Fry."

A guy smiled a little as he combed his frizzled hair, "The best in the business. I just hope we aren't here in the sun for very longer. These black suits don't do anything in the sun."A female agent with black hair brushes her hair out of her face as she ignored them. She knew something wasn't right and was looking around for clues of why. The wind started to pick up as they heard a door open. All of them looked to find a door that seem to float in mid air. They knew this technology too well as none of them was surprised. This was one of the many technology they got from the aliens.

A woman with white hair in a black suit stepped out. "Agents, we are here in this desert to have you start training. You'll be starting to stay here indefinitely. As such, AMPK would like to make sure you are prepared. So you will be staying in your suits for the next few weeks." She emphasized on "will" as she spoke. Her words were harsh to them as one agent tried to take off his coat. They all became rigid as finished. She motioned them inside as she stepped aside.

They started to form a line as they funneled into the building. They formed a line inside the building as some of them removed their sunglasses. The white haired lady stood in front of them as the last of them removed their glasses. She picked up a set of folders beside her then started to hand them out.

"Learn who are in these folders. We need to make sure that every single one is implanted into your mind. The reason behind it is because you will be watching these families. Know their habits, their diet, and even their motions. You need to know them better than yourselves when we are through." She picked up another stack of folders. "These will be your room mates. Know them also better than yourselves. You need to predict their actions before they do so we can stay ahead of them. They are not really dangerous but could easily become a concern. Many of which may amount to nothing but we better be prepared. They could easily get hold of alien technology and destroy the world."

The female agent raised her hand as the white hair lady finished handing out the folders. "Aren't all these supposed to come with a psych eval?"

The white hair agent removed her glasses. "Agent Kyo. I hate to tell you this but not all of them had an evaluation as the others. Which is why we chose you for the task. We know your specialties and know you will make an evaluation in the field." The white haired agent smiled at Agent Kyo, "the families know that we can request to have them moved if they are in any threat. So don't feel bad if they have to move."

Agent Kyo looked at her opened folder to see a guy in Hawaiian shirt. He was smiling and laughing with another person with blond hair. This still picture of him was attached to his profile. She flipped through more and noticed a lot of information that was lacking as she tried to paste what she could from what she had. She let out a sigh as the white haired agent spoke again.

"Let's get started. Shall we?"
