Chapter 10: A happy family.
Five years later
Zack had gotten home from work. He walked into their cozy little home, hung his jacket on the wall, and walked into the kitchen. Amy had dinner made already. "Hey sweetie! How was your day?" Amy asked him. "It was good, but I'm glad to be home." He said with a tired tone. They both sat down and started to eat. "Um sweetie, there was something I wanted to talk about." Amy said staring into Zack's eyes. "What's on your mind?" He said. "Um well, I think maybe, it might be time for us to have some little cubs of our own." Amy said smiling at him. "Hehe, I thought you knew that no matter how many times I get to play with that cute body of your's you won't have any kids." He said with a grin while chuckling. "I know that silly, I meant adoption." She said with a smile. "I think that is a wonderful idea." He said giving her a kiss. "We can talk about it more in the morning." Zack said holding Amy in his arms kissing her. 10 years later.
Amy walked around the house trying to get it a little more in order. Zack would be home in a little while and she didn't want him to have anymore stress then he already had from traveling across the country to give seminars. A lion walked through the front door. He dropped his backpack on the floor and proceeded to rummage through the kitchen eating whatever was in sight. Amy walked into the kitchen. "Leo James Wolfe, you pick up your backpack right now! I've been cleaning this house all day." Amy scolded him. "Um sorry mom." He said picking up the backpack and casually tossing it onto the table. "Where is your brother?" She said. "I dunno, he's probably still walking, he is kind of slow." He said scarffing down his sandwich. The front door swung open and a little wolf walked through the door. "Jamie sweetie is that you?" Amy called out. "Yeah mom." He said his tail happily wagging back and forth. "How was your day?" She asked him. "Absolutely fabulous!" He said. Amy gave the little wolf a hug.
Leo was fifteen, he really loved sports. He was in football, track, and boxing. He was a jock but unlike his jock friends he wasn't an asshole. He really was an all around good guy. Jamie was also fifteen. He was more into music and theater, he had recently told to his parents he was gay, which wasn't hard for them to accept.
A large yellow school bus had pulled up infront of the house. A petit husky walked through the door. "Hey mom." she said. "Luna, can you please make sure your room is clean by the time your dad gets home?" Amy asked her. "Yeah sure." She said grabbing an apple off of the counter munching on it as she walked into her room.
Luna was fourteen, she was incredibly brilliant for her age. She enjoyed art. She had a lot of friends and loved the outdoors. All of them had known that their parents were both guys. Zack and Amy did nothing to hide it, simply because there was nothing to hide. The children also knew that they were adopted, but they were all adopted when they were infants, so in their eyes they really were their parents. They really were a happy family.
Zack's car pulled into the driveway. He got out, walked through the front door, and gave all of his kids a hug. "Hey guys, how are all of you?" He said. " I'm glad you are home honey." Amy said giving him a kiss.
They were a happy family.
