pet dragon PT1
4 part story, this is how much i've improved since being away,
I have always wanted a dragon, I don't know why but I always have, I've always wanted to know what they are like to live with, are they really hard to look after or is it all just a owning a dog? Feeding it, taking it for walk, or flying, well today I would find out.
As I walked though the park I noticed a bush that was broken, the park itself was a bit un-tidy, rubbish everywhere trees missing braches or having something hanging from them, but this bush wasn't broken in places, it was broken in one place as if a first had been slammed though it like a basket ball or a foot ball, as I looked I saw an egg, it was too big to be a birds egg and anything else that lays an egg this size is either dead or no longer around.
I picked it up and it was warm but cooling, I wrapped it up in my woolly hat and then walked home, I didn't run as that would look strange like I'd just nicked something from under a bush, I then got home and called out, mom was out and so was dad.
I should really intrudes myself, my name is Fred, a dull name, I'm a nice boy about 5' ft something, easy to get along with, doing well in my lesions, my hair is golden brown.
As I ran to my bedroom and put the egg in a box with a heater under it, it was a project for my school work that was scrapped as I though I was going to be getting a pet lizard but nope all I got was a game for PC on lizards and dragons, I turned the light on and the egg seemed to be happy it was right under the light, I covered it over with some old clothes.
The egg was a great green and blue colours, I turned the heating up in my bedroom, so that it was nice and warm in case it hatched, I took my clothes off until I was in my underwear it was that warm.
I looked at the egg, making sure there where no marks or to make sure it wasn't just a joke, I then looked up dragons on the internet, but all that was good for was telling great story's of these none real creatures, I then looked in a book I got for my birthday a few years ago, and to my surprise I found the egg! Green with blue bits on it, it was a Percy dragon, calm and tame natured they are very easy to look after, but they get fat if looked after too much, they can grow very fat, they are an indoor dragon but do like to go outside to fly around and eat so as not to get fat, there main colours are green a great green, they eat mostly meat but like some vegetables too, mostly cabbage, this has the side effect of gas, they cannot breath fire but can growl and very playful, they grow to the size of an 4x4.
I looked at the egg it moved, I was so happy I was going to own my own dragon, okay I'd have to find somewhere for it to stay as it was going to get big, I started to look for dragons things, I found a nice collar for him or her, I then found a bowl for food, I was ready all I needed to do now was wait for it to hatch, I watched it as I play on my games I then put on some music and the egg moved, it was a country music CD it seemed to like this so I left it to play as I herd my mom's car pull into the drive way.
My mom called me to dinner and I put my egg under my bed and put a note on the door saying, beware dragon on the loose please close door, I then went downstairs to eat dinner.
As I closed the door and went to have dinner the egg moved and cracked and hatched, the little dragon looked around and yawned, then looked around and got out of the box, its colours where green a wonderful green that was dull now but when it grows up it would shine so bright.
As I ate dinner I looked at my food, I had a few green left, some baby carrots, I liked them but I saved a few, I then saved a bit of my stake too, as I finished my dinner I grabbed my plate and ran upstairs, mom called up to say bring the plate down, I wasn't listening I had my dragon.
As I closed the door behind me I looked and saw the bits of egg shell on the floor, I then got the box out and there was the remains of the egg, I then looked and felt something land on my shoulder I yelled and then looked, it was my dragon, it was a wonderful dull green colour.
As I looked at him I'd found out it was a him, as the symbol on the egg bits was in the shape of the male logo, he sniffed me and I lightly put my hand on his head, he purred and rubbed up agents me, he then sniffed and saw the food, I emptied it into his bowel, and he munched away.
After this he was full, he crawled into his box and yawned going to sleep, I looked at the time and thought about going to bed, but I was too excited, I had a dragon!
In the morning I woke up and walked to the door, closing it behind me, I then washed myself as mom left and dad soon afterwards, I then saw my dragon looking out of the window, I put the lead on him which he sniffed and bit but I said no and he soon got use to it, I lead him downstairs and out into the backyard.
He sniffed and went though the long grass, if I wasn't for the lead I'd have lost him, I then looked and he pounced, he'd caught a mouse, he then ate it, I looked at him and tapped him on the nose saying no again, he looked sad and then went back into the long grass and then came out, I saw another thing move in the grass it was the mouse I then pet him and said good boy.
We sat in the yard him mostly chasing the butterflies around, I just laughed and watched him, I then though he needs a name, and a good name, nothing silly like mine, I then thought of names, duke, Justin, I then thought of a name, Lexus, after the car, it seemed like a good name, I then called him, he ignored it at first but soon knew that was his name, Lexus.
The afternoon came soon, little Lexus dozed on a rock that was warm I picked him up he went silly and rolled over and I tickled his tummy, he purr enjoying this, as we got in I put him in his box and he purred happy, I then got ready for dinner, being out in the garden was great for him, but for me it was tiring, as he snoozed I went downstairs to watch some telly, I left the door open though!
I dozed off in front of the telly, I didn't know the door was open, Lexus woke up and looked at the door, it was open, he pushed his nose though and sniffed, he then crawled around looking and sniffing, he then saw another door open, it was the bathroom door.
Lexus wandered into the bathroom and looked, he then crawled and slipped around on the leno floor and hit the bath, the shower curtain was just low enough for him to crawl up, he then jumped and landed in the sink, knocking over my dad's shaving gel, he sniffed it and pushed the top, out came some cream, he smiled and pushed again really enjoying this.
I still was sleeping by the time Lexus got out from the sink, he then sniffed and looked into the mirror, he saw himself and feel off the sink, landing into the lawndy basket, he crawled out one of dad's shocks on his nose and he sniffed it and turned greener, he shook it away and tumbled out of the basket, and shock off from his tail one of mum's best bra's.
Lexus sniffed and then found the stairs, he crawled down them and crashed into the hat rack, it crashed down, I snorted and still didn't wake up, I was quite a heavy sleeper.
Lexus then found the kitchen, he sniffed and found the bin, he jumped up but just slide down, like a bit of food missing the bin and sliding down, he then flapped his tiny wings and lifted on the grand a little bit, he then flapped more but soon got tried and flopped onto the ground, he then looked and pushed a chair to the counter top and crawled up, he then sniffed around on the work top, he then sniffed and lifted up a container, in it was cookies, he sniffed one and bit it, he then smiled and bite again, Lexus ate two before feeling full, he then herd me snore, he grabbed one and then with his tail carried another one.
He found me and crawled up my leg, I felt it a little and stirred, I then looked and saw him, I picked him up and he offered me a cookie, I then dropped him and ran into the kitchen, it was except for the tabletop, it was covered in some white foam, I sniffed it, and then ran upstairs to the bathroom and saw the mess, I quickly cleaned this up, I then went back down and saw he Lexus was gone.
I looked and followed the white bits of shaving foam on the floor cleaning them up, he was in my dad's study, I looked and he was in the paper bin crawled up and sleeping, it was warm, right near the heater, I sighed and picked him up, putting him in my lap so as he couldn't do any more damage or go into any other rooms.
He purred in my lap, I then wondered if there where more of him or whether he was the only kind, I then watched some telly and saw the news.
In local news, the FBI are on the look out for any strange eggs, they believe the eggs to be alien or not of this world, they have already found two eggs in a basket but from the looks of the basket on screen now, there should be three, one egg has either dropped or has been taken, the eggs are green and blue, please if you know anything then contact this number.
The eggs on the screen where the same colour as Lexus's, I then looked and saw what else they had, they had found a dragon, I real big one, it was at a zoo, he had been shoot down and was now trapped, the other dragon as they never travel alone, must be looking for its friend.
I sighed and petted Lexus, I would have to take him to see, if this was his family.
