The first part of DDS...

Day 2:

Jessie, Alexander and Maxwell woke up at around eight-thirty and were given their physical examinations before they were given breakfast by the assistants of the research team. After breakfast the three men were allowed time outside to stretch their legs up on the roof of the building. However, it was only afterwards when they were truly allowed to interact with each other when the science team gathered everyone into the workout room on the sixth floor. Immediately there was both tension and connectivity between the dragon, Great Dane and kangaroo as carnal energy crackled throughout the expansive area between the three males, or actually between Jessie and Alex. The reptile gave the canine some serious eyeball time as his golden orbs traced every line on the slightly muscular looking canine's form.

Eagerness was easily discernable by the researchers taking notes on the far side of the room out of the way.

The beginnings of a conversation between Jessie, Alexander and Maxwell were tapped for prosperity once the three of them were allowed to go about their business, unhampered by the nosey white coats behind them;

"Hey, nice to meet you guys," Alexander cheerily offered his hand to the red/black/gold dragon and received a heavy handed handshake from Jessie and then a much more quick and unsure paw grab by the black furred kangaroo named Maxwell.

"Same here," Jessie purred at the slightly shorter Great Dane. A crimson tinted blush ran across Alex's face as he stared at the reptilian face above him. The large black spotted canine then let his tail duck down between his legs and made no move to stop it when the whip thin appendage curved slightly and gave a happy wag.

"Yo," Maxwell bobbed his head once and then stepped over to a set of weights hanging on a near full rack. His preferred form of physical exercise usually consisted of walking back and forth down the block where he lived, but today he felt twitchy and decide to use the hand weights to build up his arm strength. Besides, the 'roo thought to, his biceps were starting to flab a bit.

The dragon and Dane both ignored their other companion and instead chose to ogle over one another. It was clear that the reptile had plans to take the other man for his own personal possession, if the glimmer in his eyes was anything to go by. Jessie smirked and then moved closer into the obviously submissive Great Dane personal space so much so that Alexander had to take a couple of steps back just to breath.

"ugh, I-I..." Alex trembled from where he stood and tried to lean away from the taller dragon as Jessie peered over him.

The blunted tip of the dragon's snout found itself trailing down next to the Great Dane's choke chain and a naughty smirk happily crested along the reptile's muzzle as he breathed a long, drawn out sigh along the black patched male's neck.

"Nice collar," Alexander blinked and lowered his eyes to the steel chain before quickly looking back up at the dragon. Just as he was about to say something Jessie cut him off, "I think it would be very helpful with putting you in the right position; that is to say, on your knees."

Alexander let his mouth drop open as his mind processed what he had just be told. It was obvious that the Dane was about six steps away from having a panic attack as a large red scaled hand lifted up and then grabbed his chain before twining broad fingers around the metal loops.

Jessie wasn't one to let an opportunity pass him by, especially one as tempting and obvious as this. He wasn't sure what was going on with this experiment but so far he couldn't complain about. Holding the subby Dane and then using a fraction of his strength to pull the other down, Jessie nearly purred in satisfaction as he watched brown eyes stare up at him with both growing need and desire. This was exactly the way the dragon preferred his men, both submissive and willing to his whims. Besides, there was only so much fun to be had in physically having to dominant someone just to get them to obey you. And after a while, breaking arms and kneecaps just kinda got old.

Alex felt his legs turn into jelly and nearly collapsed down before the scaled male onto his hands and knees as instinct screamed into his head to bow to the reptile. The Great Dane had never been around someone with such an overwhelming aura of domination like what Jessie excluded before but now as he stood underneath such force it was like standing before a force of nature, the power of the dragon was just so great. Dull whimpers ghosted free from Alexander's lips as the raw need to give himself over to the other man coursed through his very blood all the way down to his hardening cock. And had it not been for the dragon twitching suddenly and then releasing the Dane with a jerk Alexander would have done just that, however, thankfully for him, he didn't have to.

The red and black dragon blinked as pain trailed the back of his head, turned around and then looked down at a spare ten pound hand weight that lay innocently onto the floor right next to his left leg. Golden eyes rolled up and stared into Maxwell's own grey colored orbs as the uncertain 'roo blinked at empty right hand curiously.

"...sorry?" The kangaroo rubbed his head and then walked over to pick up the weight before turning and completely ignoring the motionless reptile.

As stated before in his personnel profile, Jessie didn't blow up on people quite often, despite his hidden aggressive persona, but when he did...it wasn't a pretty sight to see. Thankfully for the kangaroo, Dane and other men and women watching the three test subjects, the reptile didn't immediately go over and strangle the marsupial. Instead, Jessie rubbed the back of his head where the beginnings of a knot were starting to swell in the back of his skull, and then sighed loudly. Totally ignoring Alexander now, Jessie didn't take offense when the Great Dane to scurried away on his hands and knees instead, the dragon made his way over to where the weights were lying on their rack. Picking up one of the hundred pounders and flipping it casually back and forth to test its weight, Jessie took the metal between both hands and then calmly, without even breaking a sweat, snapped the piece of iron in two before grinding the two pieces of broken iron into two large balls inside of both of his hands.

Obviously, someone had taught Jessie how to control his anger to the point where he could channel his rage into short physical bursts before it coiled and then exploded on some hapless victim.

However, no matter what could have happened, what did happen afterwards was that the dragon, Dane and 'roo spent the next four hours working out together and getting to know one another while giving each other spots on weight benches. Conversation flittered between family, schooling and then jobs and romantic interests. It was curious for all three of the males to find out that each one of them were gay, well Max claimed to be bi-sexual, and all frequented the club known as S-N-X. Apparently, Maxwell sometimes worked taking out trash and washing dishes for the owner of the club, who happened to be a friend of a friend's uncle.

Jessie seemed to be the most evasive when it came to admitting what they all did to earn a living; Alexander was very forth coming in his pride about his apprentice chef position while Maxwell outright stated that he was a bum and homeless. Neither Jessie nor Alex batted an eye at the 'roo when Max admitted this, but it did force something out of the dragon to where he mumbled that he worked as a bouncer. It might have been because the dragon knew that he had it just a tad better than the older male since he had been recruited early back after he had graduated high school for his position.

Luck and timing, Jessie had told the female cheetah that had interviewed him when he had been given his psych test. He had been damned lucky to bump into the right guy to hire him on after his first week of so called 'freedom' from the dullness of the educational racket. Born one of seven hatchlings meant that Jessie wasn't given much by his parents and had come to expect even less out of life, so when he had to move out of his home state to start working for his new gig he had never bothered to look back once he got off the train in the city he lived in now.

Alexander had it a little bit easier since his parents were well off, however, the Dane never flaunted or preened. He was much happier the way he was now, with his one bedroom apartment and very large trust fund, the latter he failed to mention to the others. Working an honest day's labor was more rewarding for the canine, not to mention having people really appreciate his work as an apprentice chef, than sitting around somewhere buying large assortments of crap items just to satisfy his own tediousness with life.

As for Maxwell; if it could be said that having nothing was the greatest happiness in one's life, well Max seemed to have taken that ideology to the bank and cashed in big. He had been kicked out of his home early and yet had found the streets and embraced them with open arms. Never working anywhere for too long and sleeping wherever he could find a place that didn't bother him too much, the black 'roo was the epitome of comfortable in nothingness.

It still boggled the scientific team's minds as to how this man could have gotten on the panel to be a candidate for selection, but no one was daring enough to ask the higher-ups. The entire project had been set up at a gay club where Jessie worked, from time to time, and a large pool had been drawn to get people who would fit the criteria of what was needed for the experiment. But then again, the one thing that had been necessary for a candidate to be selected was that they had to be both fit and would not be missed if anything...unfortunate were to happen because of the testing. Wavers and legal forms had all been signed by the dragon, Dane and roo so the company the scientist worked for were in the clear legally if anything went wrong.

Morally on the other hand...

Well the three thousand dollar cash incentive had been more than enough to quiet the concerns of the subjects in question. Not that Alex needed the money, however after having had a spat with the head chef over something trivial the Dane was more than happy to get a week plus off from his job to let things blow over. Jessie was there mostly because he could really use the money to pay down on the flat for the next year, not counting the bills, and his bosses had pulled a string or two for him. Max, well the 'roo was there because nobody would really miss someone like him.

More talking and more weightlifting later, Jessie had flat out came out and told the other's, when they had mutually agreed to take a breather from their workout, that he was horny and lonely and hoped that after this was all over that he could see the Alex and Max again. Though there was a consensus between the group that the dragon had been directing his statement to the Great Dane rather than the 'roo and that 'no' would not be tolerated. Before the canine could say or do something to get himself into a situation that he might have regretted later, a piece of the ceiling fell onto Jessie's head. The sudden impact made the dragon hiss and then groan as he tilted his head sideways to find Max looking up at him questioningly.

The scientist still taking notes of the others were baffled as to what in the world just happened. They all had seen how the reptile had casually moved himself over to encompass much of Alex's personal space from where they sat together on a bench overlooking the room. The dragon had wrapped a thick wing over the right side of the black patched Dane's shoulder and pulled him closer into his body. And just as he was about to lean down and plant a heated muzzle lock onto the canine's mouth...a piece of debris clocked him right in the noggin. No one could explain it but that was exactly what happened. So why in the world had Jessie looked over to Max and given the kangaroo a dirty look still mystified everyone else present.

For his part, all the marsupial had done was tilt his head to the side and look around Jessie's bulk to watch the dog's reaction and then just leaned back into his seat so sigh heavily. It...whatever had happened couldn't have had anything to do with the black furred 'roo...it wasn't logical nor practical to even think so. This being the case the research team just chalked it up to an accident...the same as when the ten pound weight had flown out of Max's hand to hit Jessie upside the head.

Mere coincidence...nothing to worry over.

The cleanup crews were already under way and anyway and besides, it was time to move on to lunch.

However, for Jessie, even knowing that there was no way it could have happened, logically speaking, the dragon had a sneaking suspicion that the subby Great Dane had a guardian angel with an attitude watching over him. Raising a hand and rubbing his aching head, the reptile forced himself to uncurl his wing from around the Dane and then move away from Alexander to grab a wet towel to place over his skull.

"Amazing how things keep hitting me in the head," Jessie chuckled even as he glared murder over into the 'roo's direction.

"Maybe you have bad luck?" The kangaroo spoke so casually that the dragon almost believed him, that was until he turned to look at Alex, who was just getting up from the bench, his hand still covering his groin curiously, and then walked over to the black furred 'roo.

"Right,"

Despite whatever was going on with the dragon and aerodynamic objects, the budding closeness between the three seemed to form bridges between all of the males as they were called out for lunch. This was very much apparent when both Jessie and Alex were made to laugh as, right after they left the room, Max made a stupid joke about something trivial that caused all present to burst out laughing. It seemed that the somewhat gloomy 'roo possessed a humorous side to himself that he let loose every once in a while.

Jessie made passing remarks to Alexander during their walk about how much fun both of them could have together, this caused the Dane to end up blushing a lot and wagging his tail furiously, yet whenever the dragon tried to make a move on the dog something would always end up hitting on the side of his head. Actually, to recall everything that flew at the dragon on the ten minute walk, it was a pen, a doorknob, a mop and finally a chalkboard eraser.

Nobody was really sure what was going on, or where that eraser had come from since there weren't any chalkboards on that floor of the building, but Jessie was seriously starting to question whether some twisted god had it out for him.

Right as they entered the cafeteria, almost completely empty save for a few people sitting together in a corner watching the three men and jotting down notes, Jessie reached a hand over to grope Alex's taunt butt and just as his claws got centimeters away... a clipboard found itself up against the reptile's noggin. The person who had been holding said writing tool over at the only occupied table in the room blinked in shock for several once he realized that he had lost the item in question. Everybody blinked because the impossibility of the situation was just too paramount to understand really, though Jessie gave Max a few suspicious looks when the roo just looked at him in ennui.

A shrug by the dragon gave the illusion that the reptile didn't mind but almost everyone around could see the tension in the scaly shoulders growing and knew that violence would ensue if Jessie were provoked again. And sadly, again came very soon, because while in the line to get what they wanted, there was a vast assortment of cooked meats and vegetables on display for the test subjects all lined up together on several long serving carts, compliments of management, Jessie ran the length of his tail along Alexander's backside, making the Great Dane freeze slightly. It wasn't more than two seconds after this when a large mug sailed into the back of the dragon's head...only to be caught before it could hit home.

The dragon grinned ferally before crushing the ceramic into powder and then smirked haughtily over at Maxwell...only to find that the roo had passed him in line and was talking to Alex and making the other giggle almost boyishly. A heated snort pushed itself out from the dragon's muzzle but Jessie said nothing in favor of piling on several pounds of meat onto his plate.

No reason to pass up good food if it was being offered, the dragon surmised.

Thankfully during their meal and several minutes afterwards there were no more peculiar incidents with flying utensils. This may have had something to do with the fact that Max kept himself between the reptile and Dane, or it might have been because Jessie was too busy to stuff his face full of food to bother the canine. Whatever the case the scientist happily watched and documented the habits of the three subjects and then, once the food was consumed, they walked the three back to their respective rooms.

Back inside of their rooms Jessie, Alexander and Maxwell were allowed some time to digest before being told, via a loudspeaker, that they would be given the injects tonight as the first part of the testing procedure at two o' clock. Each of the men accented to what was about to happen and made no bones about what they had signed up to be a part of. So when two o' clock rolled around and the doors to their rooms opened, with men in lab coats stepping in with various needles and syringes placed neatly along rolling carts, all three rolled up their sleeves and stuck out their arms expectantly.

The looks of surprise that came to them when they were told that they had to take the shots via their backsides were priceless, to say the least. Jessie tried to fight off his annoyance as he growled and stripped his shirt before flipping to lie on his back on his bed; the reptile's wings were folded neatly along the ground to be out of the way, while Maxwell sighed in great exaggeration before doing the same, though sans wings. It was Alex who was the most uncertain and nervous as he hesitantly took off his shirt and was coaxed to lay down before being rolled over by the doctor assigned to him.

A few grunts and punctures later the three men were injected with, what they had been told, was a new muscle growth hormone. They were told that this new chemical wonder had the possibility of increasing both muscle mass and density in their bone structure, giving each of them extra pounds in days rather than weeks. The truth of the matter was that the scientist didn't know what would happen to the three men. They had been given the biological pathogen weeks prior and been told to make a miracle.

Apparently, test rodents and canines had flourished underneath the effects of the pathogen, becoming stronger, faster, more intelligent and superior to the average creatures of their species in nearly every way; the venerable superman drug, as it were. However, control of the prior subjects had gone...awry...resulting in the destruction of property and substantial loss of life when it was deemed that the injected creatures needed to be 'disposed' off...for practical purposes.

That was why it was decided, by someone with an IQ that might have been scarily close to their shoe size, that the pathogen would be better suited to be tested on creatures with more intelligence and a higher sense of morality to possibly control said negative side-effects. Of course since this was reality and not a bad B-movie military personnel were stationed just a floor below where Jessie, Alexander and Max were residing for the moment.

Just in case.

"Is that it?" Jessie asked and was answered by a nod before being told that he and the others would be spending the rest of their time inside of their rooms so that they could be monitored until dinner was ready, this meant that the dragon was going to be alone for the next six or so hours before being called. Knowing where his thoughts could take him if he lingered on them for too long Jessie immediately went to his computer and found the playlist he had made from yesterday and clicked it into to play.

Both Alex and Maxwell asked the same question and were given similar answers before they were left to their own devices. As with what happened the day before the Dane found the book he had been reading earlier and returned to its pages while the 'roo went to try and find something to listen to on the computer he had been given.

For the next several hours the three men were allowed to be in peace while the pathogen worked itself inside of their bloodstreams and nervous systems. From where they had been injected it was noted that not one of them tried to scratch themselves or shuffle around in an annoyed mannerism to relieve pressure or sensitivity along their spines. This was a good factor for the scientists since it meant that neither the dragon, the Dane nor the 'roo would ask any uncomfortable questions about the injections. After all, there was only so much that three thousand dollars could keep silent.

The hours ticked by slowly for the research team and the dragon, Dane and roo, but as with all things time eventually found its way towards a favorable hour for the group and soon dinner was ready. Jessie, Alex and Max were taken back to the cafeteria to eat and once they finished with their evening meal the three were trudged right back to their rooms. No other kind of odd happening went on with the three men for the rest of the evening, a good sign for the scientists in a way since they weren't sure just what to expect if something did happen. When all three test subjects rolled themselves into bed, after returning to their respective rooms, Jessie, Alex and Max quickly fell to sleep after setting their clothing on racks to be cleaned for tomorrow.

With no muss and no fuss it seemed that things were going to turn out flawlessly for everyone involved in the experiment.
