*This story would never have been possible, without the love and assistance of Kitty Cheetah, who can be found here -> http://www.sofurry.com/user/view/profile?id=121522 - for without her linking me to the wonderul and inspiraitonal story, being my friend and 'part time editor/revision mistress) it'd never have come, so give her some love, it was the song she gave me, that inspired it...*

For hours, Alex had stalked the Doe, pausing every so often too kneel down in the dark forest, looking for her elusive trail; a broken twig, a sot of blood...anything. With a grunt, he noticed a few drops of blood flicked he assumed, from the Doe, and a few feet on, an unmistakable hoof print on the soft loam. He had hunted her all day and well into the night - the full moon providing the illumination as its silvery glow dappled down through the trees...letting him continue his relentless hunt.

He had missed a clean shot - he still hated himself for that, but he knew his duty - to hunt her down and if the poor creature still lived; offer her a quick end. As he quickened his pace, his breathing coming easy, he pushed through a particularly thick patch of brambles and his heart skipped a beat and he froze as if suddenly paralysed.

For in the grove ahead of him, beneath the moons silvery splendour, his eyes fell upon a creature of such beauty. It had a human form, but there any similarities to a human ended. It danced with such grace upon its black cloven hooves, spinning and twisting; its hips swaying sensuously to some music only it could hear. His eyes drank in this vision of loveliness, yet his mind could not interpret what it was seeing - for this - this creature, appeared in form to be human, but its body was covered with a gossamer like fur of a dark woodland brown, the wedge shaped tail raised high and showing the white underside. He saw the unmistakable black ear tips of this feminine creature, and as it spun about, singing in a rich, melodious voice in a language he could not comprehend, he saw the muzzle marking standing out in the silvery moonlight - and his mind tried to understand - this - thing...was a Whitetail Doe...but no Doe he'd ever seen.

She danced and spun in a wide circle, and as he stood staring, a pale, eldritch blue flame sprang up as she danced the circle, before turning back to the middle. She danced with such beauty, he felt his heart grow calm and placid, before she paused and stared at him - her dark, soulful eyes feeling to him like they could see inside his very soul. She stopped her dancing, then held his gaze for several minutes, and he stared back, unable to move - so shocked was he. With a blink of her widely spaced, dark eyes, she smiled shyly, then curtseyed deeply, crossing one furred leg in front of the other and brushing her paws down her thighs and away, as she completed the curtsey too him, then made a unmistakable gesture of summoning to him.

As she smiled wider, she whispered softly, repeating her gesture.

"Come, come dance in my circle, dance for the spirits, the moon and the skies - "

His hands lost their strength and the gun fell from his nerveless hands as he felt her voice pull at him. He stumbled towards her as the enigmatic young Doe kept her dark eyes fixated on his. Her smile grew as he approached the circle of blue flames. As he drew to the edge, she waved a paw at him, keeping her eyes locked on his - and he wilfully stepped over the boundary of the circle....

*

He gasped, as the blue flames flared brighter, then they swarmed over his boots and he gasped as it ran like water over his boots, then began moving up his shins....

"NO!" Alex screamed, staring incredulously at what he knew could not be true or even possible.

His thick hiking boots melted away painlessly, and as he watched, the socks went up in a puff of eldritch smoke and he stared at his pale foot - before the toes began to run like wax, welding themselves together and his foot began to painlessly twist and reshape itself, quickly forming a black cloven hoof. As the flames slid up his shins, his thick jeans melted away into smoke, and he saw the flesh and bone reconfiguring itself, a brilliant white fur replacing the pale human skin.

"No...this can't...this can't be happening!" Alex screamed, his eyes wild in shock and fear, as the blue flames swarmed up his thighs, his belly, his chest...faster and faster, the flames consumed the human form, changing his body as it went, and he dropped to his knees, staring as the eldritch blue flames ran down each arm - leaving the white fur in its place and he shrieked as his fingers began to fuse and run like water, forming three distinct fingers, with black hooflets at each end and a semi-opposable thumb. His screams were silenced when the blue flames swarmed up over his head; doing their magickal transformation. A long muzzle pushed forwards painlessly from his face, forming the distinctive shape and colours of a Whitetail, as his human like ears twisted and grew longer and longer, the white fur being offset by the black ear tip markings

Powerful antlers sprouted from his head, between his ears and grew into an impressive eight point rack, as he clawed at the ground and squealed; his voice less human and more a primal cervine scream of fear and confusion...as the Doe smiled and knelt down on one knee, then lifted this new stags proud and regal head to look into his dark brown eyes. Her eyes sparkled with such love, compassion - and he was sure - an intelligence beyond mortally possible.

Her eyes sparkled lit with passion, and pierced his once stone heart, driving away his fears and anger, as she tenderly lifted him to his hooves, her paws feather light against his chin, as she smiled and gently leant forwards, kissing him on the lips before she bowed her head, gazing up at him through her thick eyelashes.

"Come dance in my circle, dance for the spirits, the moon and the sky... Dance with me now, my dear lord Cerunnos..." She whispered, gazing with such love and compassion. "Come dance with me, dance for joy, in this warm summer forest, beneath the pale moon that shines upon us...."

*

They danced together, and together they sang, their beautiful voices rising heavenwards as he gave himself completely and deeply to the young maiden who had entranced his heart. She called the quarters; to her they at once came, as she turned her muzzle on him, her face full of love, as she wove the magicks with her beautiful voice. He felt the fur prickle on his nape as she danced and she sang, her voice rising and falling in a natural rhythm. He knew not the answers to the questions his mind asked; he was only vaguely aware as he stood enscorcelled as he watched her dance in the night. As the magick grew and crackled at the edges of the circle, the blue flames danced ever higher, until she spun towards him and enfolded him in her grasp, her lips parted, as she gazed lovingly into his eyes.

"Come to me, come to me now, my dear lord and lover, my dear Cerunnos - " She whispered.

He took her by the paw, and she smiled shyly up at him, before with a grunt of longing, he pulled her against himself, and her cries of longing pealed forth as he took her maidenhood in one swift stroke. Her virginal blood trickled down her thighs; too spatter against the ground - yet their lovemaking was not cruel and violent - if anything, it was a beautiful thing - her cries turning to moans, as he consummated their love. For hours, her eyes lit with passion and warmth, did they stand intertwined as one - their combined love growing as the the eldritch flames danced beneath the moons silvery glow.

*

As they finally stepped apart, both filled with the spirit of the Lord and Lady, did the Doe twist away and begin to dance once more. She raised her voice to the heavens, and a beautiful chant sprang forth. For she begged the Goddess for her blessing, as Alex watched on. Her paws swayed in time with her hips, her hooves dancing lightly across the moonlight drenched loamy soil, as she continued to sing like a Skylark. Alex was left in an almost trance-like state, feeling the power she was raising from the very earth rising to an incredible crescendo.

"Come dance in my circle, dance for the spirits; of the woods and the skies..." She whispered, as she turned back towards him, her eyes sparkling with such love and trust.

Alex come to her, and once again mounted this lovely young doe - her moans of pleasure mixed with his own, as they consummated their love before the eyes of the Lord and the Lady. Such was the power they had raised between them, Alex fought his urges, and the Doe squealed and squeezed down along his member, making him throw his head back and utter a low, drawn out moan. As their mutual orgasm struck, she lifted up her head and he kissed and licked at her throat, tasting the salt of her sweat.

"In perfect love, and in perfect trust, we consummate our love - " Whispered the Doe softly. "Before the Lord and Lady, we honour them both. For that which I do, was once done to me - three times good, and three times bad - that which I do now, shall be returned to me..."

Alex blinked as he felt her nibble his throat, and he moaned, tilting his head back before he gasped and felt her paws lock tightly around his back - and her teeth shear into his throat...

*

Alex awoke at daybreak the next morning, still in his half human and half deer form, as he moaned and shuddered from ears to hooves. As he struggled to his hooves, he glanced around in confusion and bewilderment - for the forest was alive with sounds he had never known as a human. Raising his head, his cervine nostrils flared as he smelt the scents, and the sensations overwhelmed him. Everything stood out in such amazingly vivid colours, his ears flicked too and fro as he twisted about, his hooves kicking up a light dust from the loamy soil.

Weakly, he stared at his new paws, turning them too and fro, as his eyes widened in disbelief. He spun around again, searching for a sign of the Doe, her circle which had burned with such beautiful glow - even the altar which seemed to have been made of natural stone - all of it, there was but no trace. He dropped to his furred knees, his hooves clicking against each other, as he threw back his head an wailed - in this moment - he knew his life had forever changed...

he fell onto the soft soil, beating his paws against the ground and kicking his hooves, a tantrum just like a Fawn denied a treat - as the sickening horror and grief flooded his body. For over an hour, he gave voice to the emotions that tore at him; and he knew, he would never be able to return to the life he once knew...

At last his bitter tears finished and he lay clawing at the ground, his hooflets gouging a the soil, when his sensitive new ears heard a faint clopping. Twisting his head around, he saw a feral Whitetail Doe slowly approach, then to his surprise, she stopped a few paces away, then knelt down on her knees and her gaze locked on his with a look of such love and joy, but a terrible sadness as well.

"May well you find forgiveness," She whispered, her voice that of the Doe who had danced the circle the night before. "For that which you have done..."

He stared, his mind reeling in horror, as she glared at him, before she began gagging and something clicked against her teeth. With a disgusted grunt, she spat a badly deformed bullet so it landed near his outstretched paws, then rose back to her feet.

"Now you know the fear you have caused, the pain and the grief, for now you are as me, and now, shall you know the fear... For I carry your fawn within me now young Buck - for already the new life grows - she will learn of your foolish pride, your willingness to hunt and, most of all - shall she learn of your downfall...." She spoke quietly, but her eyes began to narrow in rising anger.

She spun away from him, her tail giving a dismissive flick, before she vanished into the woods - leaving this frightened and confused young Buck...
