Being Human
#1 of old poems
I wrote a sestina about the evolution of humans into furries. Yay, me! :3
You are a human,
relying on science,
making every mistake.
You envy every animal
for its lovely fur,
and inside you are searching.
Beasts are always searching,
but they are not human.
They scratch at their fur
and ignore your stupid science.
You are just another animal
making another mistake.
To humans' fault, our worst mistake
is that we're busy searching,
so they forget that we're an animal,
and you forget that you're human.
You take no heed to your science
as you shave off all your fur.
You think the only difference is the fur,
but that is your mistake.
The truth is there's no more science
that could end their constant searching,
because they are flawed and human,
and you are becoming an animal.
Why don't you believe you're an animal
as you step into your fur?
Do you think that being human is jut a big mistake?
Stop your stupid searching, and just listen to the science!
God created science
and designed every animal:
there's the answer to your searching.
And we proudly wear our fur,
believing this is no mistake!
And we are only human.
This animal is not the only one that uses science;
we are all searching for a way to fix every mistake.
But I'm still dancing in my fur and waiting for you to admit that you are human.
