Issue #1-5

point Review

Alright lets start this book out right the front cover is a nice little spread of various red lanterns including the leader and founder of the red lantern corp. Atrocitus smack dab in the middle of the cover. Of course the cover has others who don't even appear until Issue 3 Save for two.

You start the comic in SECTOR 666 ...Of course it does because when I think good guys I think of the number 666 that makes sense...It seems some blue aliens torturing another alien just simply because it's fun and pleases them but there seems to be a problem. There bored with torturing the poor alien. One of the blue creatures tells the leader that there is a funny looking creature coming there way on board there ship and leader tells him to let it in and may the gods take pity on it and....TWO PAGE SPREAD OF OUR HERO!!!!! Not really A blood spewing cute fuzzy blue kitty.........wait what? it's a two page spread of a blue kitty going RRRRR...ok then lets see where this Kitty hero takes us. The blue aliens proceed to verbally spew about how they want to skin the kitty for it's fur at which point the red lantern kitty meows at them with red word bubbles telling us what he really means I think...The kitty then proceeds to make all the blue aliens his personal scratching post for two pages, Spewing his acid like blood one and tearing the scalp off another. Eventually the cat gets over powered and shocked and it looks like it's the end of the comic and the Red lantern series until suddenly the ship has been hit.

BAMMMM Atrocitus tears through the ship wanting to know what they are doing to his cat. This is of course the real hero err anti hero of the book. His entire people were destroyed by the guardians and his life was filled with rage and that's how he became the red lantern #1 He proceeds to start killing literally everything that isn't a red lantern and rescue his poor little kitty.

Flash forward to Sector 2814 EARTH London an old guy is getting his brains bashed in by a brick by some punk because he has a cell phone. Humans ladies and gentlemen proving to be the smartest creatures alive since letting murders go free so Jesus can die. This scene literally has nothing to do with the comic at this point other then to just show us there is rage everywhere , everywhere meaning earth.

Back in sector 666 on the planet ysmault we see that Atrocitus has brought the cat Dex-starr....Dexter cute isn't it safely home to heal. He see's his fellow red lanterns acting like the rage filled savages they are and fighting. He orders them to stop fighting and Bleeze tells them they cant because of there rage filled hearts they cant think. Atrocitus tells her that he doesn't want her to think he wants her to follow orders which of course leaders her to ask the question "Orders?" Ok when your corp. is filled with people who don't understand what your orders mean...you need new work. Bleeze of course laughs at this how she can laugh when she is full of rage I don't get and walks away. Atrocitus believes there is more to her then just mindless rage and proceeds to banter about it for a page

Next scene we come to has Atrocitus moaning and complaining about a guardian who happens to currently be dead and how he wished he was alive just so he could kill him again. He is angry because years ago in another comic the Man hunter robots came and killed his entire kind save for him including his wife and child.

Back on earth The old man who was getting beaten by a brick earlier is now dead and his grand children one named John the other named ray are talking to each other. John asks who could do this to an old man and ray says there is all kinds but at least Grand dad put up a fight. that's right grand dad aint going out like no bitch. John asks if a 73 year old man can put up a fight why can't they which ray responds they should let the police handle this Ray upset how john is acting decides to punch his brother yes there brothers in the face cause he doesn't like his bullshit attitude.

Back on Ysmault we see that Atrocitus has just finished burning himself in his rage blood and stabs the dead guardian. Confused as to how a dead Guardian can still bleed. He see's a vision of rage involving different species and decides the universe needs vengeance to right the wrongs and he needs a willing army to do that in other words he needs "Followers willing to follow him into the jaws of death, and worse."

We end the first issue with Bleeze rallying the red lanterns speaking incoherently about rage and Atrocitus asking if the red lanterns really need him. End of Issue #1

Issue Number 2

Lets start with the cover. A nice red background with the word RAGE in big lets A joker faced person holding there ring up. Spoiler its not the joker. Lets talk about covers for a moment this is one of those Covers that make no sense or Lie to the reader to get them to buy the comic. This particular comic makes no sense The joker face shouldn't be there.

We open this issue on the Planet Ysmault Atrocitus is talking about how he is going to full fill his mission and how he is to decide which rage is worthy and which is not. He then talks about Ghan IX a planet that is engulfed in Rage and of course that means this is a FLASH BACK SCENE, and we get a nice little Two Spread page Two aliens groups Locals and non locals are warring.

We move to the Military like Non locals flying over the planet talking to each other. Trooper A is talking to Trooper B about Maybe the Locals aren't so bad and that he just wants to get out of here cause he has a wife and child and of course The ship he is on and the ship that is flying wingman gets attacked by who else the Locals. Trooper B in true Douche fashion proceeds to tell Trooper A how his "Friends" are firing on them. The pair bitch a bit and decide to return fire.

We move to three Local kids talking Yep you see where this is going don't you. The troopers can't tell that there kids and fire upon them Killing all of them except the little girl at least I think it's a little girl.

Trooper A and Trooper B think they just killed adult locals and of course celebrate. The Girl they left alive seeing what the non locals did to her family scream in RAGE!!!!! And wants them dead. Atrocitus of course happens to hear this scream of rage and shows up. He flies at the two Troopers in there fighters, the fighters of course Fire at Him not knowing what it is or why its coming but its not them so KILL IT. They of course hit Atrocitus and he is stunned momentarily. The troopers scared out of there mind that he is still alive radio for back up and then reflect on there lives. But its to late Atrocitus rips through there ship like butter. Atrocitus in the only moment of Bad assery grabs one of the troopers telling him he only needs one and flies out of the ship leaving it to crash into a mountain side.

He takes the trooper to see the act he had committed and The trooper shocked that his yellow screen didn't tell him it was children look at the bodies of the dead children he and his now dead friend just killed. He is devastated he killed the children because he thought they were carrying weapons when they were just carrying sticks. Atrocitus tells him he is a douche and the trooper tells himself that Atrocitus cant kill him because he has a wife and child and if he got killed who would be an instrument of justice for the,. Atrocitus responds by spewing acid burning fire blood all over the man killing him.

The girl runs up to Atrocitus and he speaks to her. She drops the doll Atrocitus has a flash back within the flashback and then proceeds to pick up the doll and hand it back to the girl. He grabs the Childs arm which of course scares the child. He tries to tell her He means no harm but she runs away with her doll with him left to simply apologize.

Back on the planet Ysmault Atrocitus still talking to the dead Guardian says the little girl reminded him that some rage was worthy then others while a dead man reminded him that it's a complex universe. In order to fulfill his mission he is going to need help. He needs intelligent help. So as such he is going to select one of his fellow lanterns to be his second in command and restore there intelligence. But which one. End of Issue #2

Issue #3

Again we will start with the Cover art. Yes I will be doing this for the entire Review. This is one of those Covers I love. It depicts a Female Character this time Red Lantern Bleeze my favorite red lantern bathing in a shower of Blood. It's beautifully drawn she manages to look sexy as well as dangerous. And that's all there is it's not flashy it's not bunched up with characters I love it.

We start this issue In a pool of red stuff I can only assume blood. Atrocitus in word bubbles is telling us that he threw Bleeze into the Blood lake. That he is hoping she remembers the struggle the brief fight and that there wasn't any point of asking him not to. We cut to yet another TWO PAGE SPREAD kind of. I don't really know what qualifies when it comes to panel bubbles. Atrocitus and several of the Red Lanterns look at the blood lake as Atrocitus talks about how his red lanterns are and army that will bring retribution to the unjust universe. You see he has chosen Bleeze to become his new second in command and some how throwing her into the lake of blood is going to make her smarter and not just let her drown.

I also want to state that this issue takes place after an Issue of green lanterns the new Guardians.

We move to Bleeze who is currently in rage ramble mode. You see becoming a red lantern pretty much means you lose the ability to function like a normal person, all you can do is think about rage. Eventually Bleeze hit's the bottom kicks the bottom and starting moving to the surface. And suddenly she remembers exactly what made her become a Red Lantern. Yes this is a back story issue. Better then a flash back issue because it tells you back-story. Bleeze's mother was killed by a Yellow lantern who then proceeded to rip her wings off of her. Bleeze used to be a angel like creature.

Sector 2814 Earth

Ah yes we are back to the plot about the brothers and there dead grandfather. Ray the violent one has found the guy who has murdered his grandfather. The guy being a typical douche does the whole got evidence didn't think so routine and closes the door on Ray. Ray's answer is to Light a Molotov cocktail and proceeds to Throw it at the guys home. John attempts to stop Ray with logic about how he will end up in prison but ray proceeds to tell john he is a spineless wimp and they should get revenge. John getting slightly angry tells his brother that he is tired of being made out to be the bad guy because he has common sense and goes to hit his brother. Raymond tells him he should hit him and that it will do him some good. John making sense once more tells his brother he doesn't want to hit him because getting angry wont do anyone any good. And john responds by punching him He then proceeds to tell him that he is just as angry as him the only difference is John is a coward where Ray is not.

Back to planet Ysmault Atrocitus tells Bleeze that she must be angry with him for forcing her to undergo the transformation from stupid rage filled thing to Intelligent creature. Bleeze now capable of intelligent thought proceeds to admire her surroundings by saying how ugly the place is and that she has never really seen it till now. I guess when you have forever Rage face scenery tends not to matter. Enter Face smashing Keyboard joke here.

Atrocitus tells Bleeze she now has the ability to appreciate she has to thank him for and Bleeze responds by telling him that it doesn't matter he still thinks she is clearly still stupid. Atrocitus responds by telling her that he can see the greater understanding in her eyes. You get to look at her eyes...she doesn't look grateful she looks pissed. I would be pissed off to if I was having a drunk stupor and then suddenly was thrown into a lake. Way to be a buzz kill there Atrocitus. Bleeze tells Atrocitus she is mad because he gave her back her pain. She looks fine to me so let the Emo begin. Apparently when you become a red lantern what turned you into a red lantern goes all the way back into your brain and you forget about it but you have to use that rage to power up your rage powers so you can do your raging so yeah if she couldn't focus on her rage before how did she Jesus I think I just hurt my self...moving on. Atrocitus tells her that she will get over her emoness and to stop the red lanterns from doing there normal red lantern rage thing. Bleeze then tells Atrocitus she can't do anything because the transformation has left her quite traumatized from remembering how she became a red lantern and as such she is useless. Atrocitus then tells her he has a way to fix that.

Planet Havania

Atrocitus has brought Bleeze back to her home planet which Bleeze says she has no home. Atrocitus tells Bleeze he discovered something about the Sinestro corps. Member that because her unwanted suitor to which Bleeze says what's the point she already had killed him in a very succubus way. Atrocitus then says what he found out. Flashback back-story scene It seems two Havanian males were chatting up a the Sinestro corps. Member telling him about Bleeze. How she is this beautiful thing. He tells them that she sounds like half the girls in the place. They proceed to tell him that she is pure that both have tried and failed and that the yellow lantern gets what he wants so there talking to him. The one guy s friend tell him that she would probably find the yellow Lantern beneath her because he doesn't have wings. The yellow lantern wonders why and gets a response that they thing she would find him repellent he ask for her name.

Atrocitus tells Bleeze that she had turned down many suitors and that most went back to lick their wounds but Count Liib and Baron Ghazz wanted revenge. See Bleeze told them that she would rather do something very unpleasant then to spend a single night with either of them and she says she let them down as easily as she could. Atrocitus tells her this is a great chance to exact retribution for what they caused to her. Bleeze tells him she is grateful but first she wants to visit her mothers tomb. Atrocitus openly against the idea that his red lanterns should grieve for anything expresses his distaste for such only to be told frankly to shut the hell up. He kindly retorts by telling Bleeze he isn't some idiot suitor and if she ever talks like that again he will end her.

Bleeze now being choked mutters that atrocities' own entire existence is to take retribution for what had happened to his loved ones. Atrocitus having been pretty much owned tells her to be quick about it. This is were I start to dislike the Atrocitus character and lean more towards the Bleeze character. She just seems nicer to me as a person in general. You will see why later.

Bleeze now getting her moment of peace with her dead mother proceeds to spit on her corpse and tell her that she is the reason for all her misfortune then puts on the cute face and tells Atrocitus that she is done and they can move on.

Next page we see Turrets are firing at our heroes one manages to hit Bleeze and of course she shrugs it off like it was nothing. They eventually get to the turret gunners and demand to know where They are. Meanwhile a palace guard is telling the Baron and the Count that the Counts house was ransacked by the red lantern pair and that they were coming for them. The Baron and the count don't understand how they were linked to the Sinestro corps Member but proceed to say that they wished they were there when he tore bleeze's wings off. She was of course abused and raped by the said member. An alarm goes off and they make for a private estate. The Red Lanterns start killing the guards as the count and the Baron run away Liib then gets attacked by Bleeze and tries to complement her on her beauty only to get his head cut off Bleeze stating that, that girl no longer exists.

Bleeze then proceed to look at the other winged man who is begging for his life which she grants to him. Atrocitus in his dick move tells her that he forbids it. Bleeze tells the man she will spare him not out of charity but because she might some day come back and honestly in what I like he is going to have to live in fear of what she might do to him just like she has to live with what they did to her. I really like this as she shows a sense of compassion but at the same time she is showing she isn't willing to not kill him and that gets ruined by Atrocitus who proceeds to stab the man throw the chest with his claws.

Atrocitus tells Bleeze that Red lanterns should never grant mercy that they should be pitiless so basically all job interviewers out there. Bleeze tells him that her way is just at Pitiless but more subtle. Atrocitus tells her that he doesn't give a shit its his way or no way. Bleeze tells Atrocitus if that's the case he should have left her a brainless rage face.

Back on Planet Ysmault Bleeze is shown following the first order to get the red lanterns to stop being rage faced. Atrocitus states he likes this but then when Bleeze turns to him and shows a smile he worries. Atrocitus talking to the dead guardian worries she might start a revolt of the red lanterns. And that he will have to be very careful around her.

End of Issue #3

Issue #4

Again we start with the Cover art. Honestly it's a nice little splash of the characters that this comic focus's on only problem is I don't remember there names. They are all fighting over a red lantern ring which the caption TO THE VICTOR GOES THE RING implies they are fighting to become red lanterns. Spoiler alert...this is a bullshit lie...

Again we start on planet Ysmault. It's just rolling off your tongue by now isn't it. We see a random Red lantern flying through the planet at top lantern speed. We see that this Red lanterns name is Skallox as Atrocitus is chasing him. Skallox having not being dipped into the blood ocean of intelligence. Again name rolls off the tongue tries to register Atrocitus' name. to which Atrocitus smacks him out of the sky. Atrocitus telling Skallox he just wanted to talk to him but then is dumb founded when all Skallox can say to his question is RAGE SKALLOX RAGE. Ok maybe making it so rage is the only thing your guys think about is not such a good idea. Perhaps it would be wise to dump them all into the blood ocean of Intelligence so you can have a army that can actually TALK TO YOU!!!! Just saying.

Atrocitus proceeds to cut his neck and then in true vampire style bit's Skallox's neck to receive information. He see's a vision of the past when Bleeze was saying in red lantern rage speak if it was possible to kill Atrocitus with 2 others and Skallox. Atrocitus can't make out the rest of the words at the meeting though he tries.

Bleeze shows up and asks what Atrocitus is doing with Skallox. Atrocitus tells her to get out of his way. Bleeze reminds him that he made her smart for a reason and she thinks he shouldn't do what he is about to do. He tells her pretty much to fuck off and proceeds to toss Skallox into the blood ocean. He then points to a big round red lantern and tells him YOU TOO.

Bleeze wants to know why he would do this because each one of them is damaged and traumatized otherwise they wouldn't be wearing the red rings of rage and entering the blood ocean forces them to relive there trauma and to be sentient again. Why you wouldn't want to be sentient is beyond me but ok. Atrocitus turns to see the third red lantern from the vision named Ratchet grabs it...and throws him as well into the blood ocean. Sheesh and he said he didn't want to do this to one of them.

Bleeze states in the only moment of hers that I don't really like that she survived because of her breeding but only barely and that the three Atrocitus just threw in might not come out alive She asks why he did that to there Lanterns to which Atrocitus responds Ours? I thought there were MINE.

And now we move to see the three lanterns sinking in the ocean and of course this means BACK STORY!!!!! First we start with Ratchet. I can't really describe how ratchet starts on paper but I will try the best that I can. He is basically a tentacle thing that is in a germ free environment I guess. He gets into a suit and makes his way to another set of tentacle things. Him and his friends decided it was time to face each other for real and he met with one and removed his suit. This story doesn't really work for me either people I'm trying my best. He gets found by tentacle security and is shot being told to not expect clemency.

Back to Atrocitus he is still trying to figure out what Bleeze and the others meant when they said Atrocitus Kill and doing so to the dead Guardian Krona. He wonders how Krona became his confidant and how fitting it is for him to find comfort in its rotting corpse. He thinks about beating the information out of Bleeze but then reminds himself that Bleeze would fight to the death, and that his guess work might not be enough to condemn her. He seeks a shadow figure that runs off and assumes its Bleeze and gives chase. Atrocitus angry that he can't catch the figure flies off his planet and goes on random rage induced attempts at providing vengeance to the galaxy.

Back on earth. John and Ray are at it again. Ray is asking John for help because his act of Dumbassery has brought the police down on him. John tells Ray the last time he tried to help Ray punched him in the face. Ray tries to explain that he firebombed the guy who killed there grandfathers place for the right reason because revenge is always the right reason. Ray tells John he will hide and that he is sure ray will help him John tells him he isn't going to do that. Raymond of course furious tells John that he will get arrested and he will lose his job. John tells him he should have thought about that before tossing a Molotov at someone's house and that this blind rage will get the better of him that jail time might do him some good. Ray in an act of rage doesn't understand how it can be good to which john tells him maybe it will teach him responsibility. Ray tells john that he is a cold hearted bastard. The fight for a moment to be interrupted by the police telling Ray that they know he is in there.

We cut back to Ysmault

We see Bleeze waiting for the three to come back up. Here we learn the big round one is named Zillius Zoxx. And then we go into Skallox's back story. Skallox is being held by two guys with a third guy asking him where the Cyber eggs are. Skallox claims he doesn't have them but the bad guy knows how greedy Skallox is so he must be lying. Skallox tries to tell Lancer that he has been a loyal servant doing all his dirty work to which lancer Tells his two guards to get the truth out of him and to use the oven to do it. Skallox in fright screams that he can still serve and be of use. AND THEN we cut back to the blood ocean to where the trio are still down remembering what caused them to become red lanterns in the first place. Ok hint when you do a back story it helps if you provide endings for each one in the comic you start it in.

We wend the issue with Atrocitus Sitting alone wondering if he did the right thing or if he just destroyed three of his best lanterns He tells himself he needs allies but currently there is only one person he can tell his secrets to and that's Krona. Who happens to suddenly be missing from his grave. Krona is gone.

End of Issue 4

Issue #5

Alas its time for the final issue and the last cover. This time it's a nicely done cover of Bleeze and Atrocitus fighting each other with the caption the BATTLE to LEAD the red lanterns.

Our final title opens on Ysmault. Atrocitus is angry because the Guardian Krona whom he thought was dead has gone and disappeared. And well since Dead bodies don't do that he flies to Bleeze hoping to find some answers. Bleeze of course is just "Thrilled" To hear Atrocitus calling for her, and BAM two page spread of Atrocitus grabbing Bleeze. Atrocitus in his rage filled madness says he was a fool for trusting Bleeze. He obviously thinks Bleeze is the one who took Krona and thus has decided to punish her. Bleeze of course has no clue as to what Atrocitus is talking about. Atrocitus asks Bleeze where Krona is in the nicest way possible just for her to respond that she didn't know he was gone. Atrocitus doesn't understand and she tells him what use would the dead Corpse serve her. He tells her that the moment he boosts her intellect Krona goes missing and he has lived way to long to believe in coincidence.

Atrocitus then tells Bleeze that who else could have done it when they are the only two who have reason to which Bleeze tells him maybe he overlooked the fact the Krona might still be alive. Atrocitus ORLY face then proceeds to take a panel.

We see a shadowy figure mumbling about the pitiful old fool and cut back to Bleeze and Atrocitus looking at the empty spot where Krona used to be. Atrocitus tells Bleeze he will need as many hands as possible to search for Krona and to go see what's taking Skallox, Ratchet, and Zillius Zoxx so long. Bleeze tells Atrocitus that he doesn't know what it's like down there and that she has some personal demons waiting for her down there. Atrocitus gets that flash back about The four speaking about possibly plotting to kill him and tells Bleeze that they are her demons she should deal with them. And she needs to find his lanterns. Bleeze asks if he is really doing it for the lanterns or if he is really trying to just get rid of her. To which Atrocitus responds by smashing her head into the ground. Yeah you can see why I've started rooting for Bleeze in this so far. He then proceeds to throw her into a wall and cause her to bleed out of her mouth and nose. Dex-starr shows up again to which Bleeze tells the kitty that its master will attack me once to often which Dex-starr does the hissing thing to. Bleeze dives into the blood ocean seeing that it isn't affecting her like it used to and makes her way to Ratchet where we pick up the back-story from the last issue. Joy....

We see that ratchet is being punished for breaking the biggest law in his society and as such has had all his tentacles cut off. Eventually he is force fed. They keep it like this for twenty years allowing for subtle rage to build up in the creature. He starts to Hallucinate previous events. Eventually he longs to be alone but his Hallucinations wont leave. His rage continues until a red power ring appears a new tendril from his body appears and touches the ring.

Back in the present we see Atrocitus Flying about his planet He is happy I think that Krona is alive. And then suddenly he gets hit by a dust cloud that hurts him. A shadow figure appears and Atrocitus attacks it we see blood splatter and then a panel of nothing.

Back to Bleeze we see she has dragged Zillius Zoxx and Ratchet out of the blood ocean. They ask her why they are here. She responds that they have a purpose and are on a mission. That they have been created to seek vengeance and brutal justice for all who have been violated and wronged. Ratchet asks who decides who is worthy of retribution. Bleeze responds by saying They do. It appears they are judge jury and executioner. Zillius finally speaks telling ratchet to shut up and if he could find the people who hurt him he wouldn't need a judge. He then wonders were Skallox is to which Bleeze tells him that she couldn't find him.

We see Skallox still in the blood ocean as we go back to the past and see he was thrown into the fire. His flesh burning. How he lives is beyond me and I thought only the black lantern rings can reanimate the dead but hey this is not my work. We see his face burn off before he pulls it off to reveal his skull again how he isn't dead now is amazing to which we see a red power ring find its way to him.

We cut to Bleeze pulling Skallox out of the blood ocean. Skallox is telling her that he served the person who pretty much burned him loyally and he was killed for it. Bleeze tells him the universe can be a real bitch sometimes.

Ratchet noticing that Skallox wasn't a very nice person in his past wonders if Skallox could receive a ring that there crusade doesn't seem to have any morals to it. The wicked feel rage as keenly as the innocent and the wicked too are deemed worthy of a red ring. Zillius Zoxx tells him that He has had his brains back and already Ratchet is hurting them and needs to shut up.

Atrocitus smacks Zillius out of the way and tells them what they are doing here. They are there to hunt down the Criminal Krona. And then does the Iconic Red lantern Oath. With blood and rage of crimson red ripped from a corpse so freshly dead. Together with our hellish hate we'll burn you all that is your fate. And this has brought fourth his entire lantern corp. in a nice shot

Meanwhile we see a power ring heading towards a planet and we are back on earth

Raymond is being arrested for Firebombing the man who killed his grandfathers house and is begging his brother john to save him. John just watches and is hoping that time in prison will do his brother some good. Ray makes the dumb ass mistake of elbowing one of the cops in the face to which the cop gets pissed the three officers proceed to start beating Ray with there batons Remember its 11 strikes before its police brutality Ray. John like a dick watches the cops beat the living shit out of his brother as they literally beat the man to death right in front of his family pretty much making sure the three cops not only lose there jobs but will probably not even be able to work as security guards at the local mall. John has watched his brother be murdered right in front of him. He goes to his brothers corpse the cops now gone suddenly and we see a red ring fly up to him. John Moore of sector 2814 you have great rage in your heart. John transforms into a red lantern and five issues of subplot finally come together. John can no longer contain his rage and has his sights set on the cops and that ends the Issue.

My thoughts are the series up to this point. Red Lanterns starts out decent enough. It gets you into several characters Including Atrocitus and John and Raymond Moore. Though the Subplot of John becoming a red lantern takes a god awful Five issues to do I find that it's honestly a good plot. He is like every kid that is told to bottle there anger and has done so for years and it takes a major moment to finally let it all out which of course turns him into this monster like thing. I look forward to what happens to John and where the writers will take him because he is considered the first Human to become a pure Red lantern that wasn't already a lantern.

Next we have Atrocitus and Bleeze at first I really likes Atrocitus character and I actually felt sorry for him. But as I started to get to know the Bleeze character I see that Atrocitus doesn't really see anyone as an equal and is willing to use anyone to get what he wants. Where Bleeze even though she was a stuck up snob girl was murdered because of how she was brought up. She continues to get mistreated by Atrocitus and I honestly am rooting for her to eventually lead the Lanterns. She is by far my favorite character in this series.

As for the plot there really isn't a connective plot. It's mostly back story on Atrocitus Bleeze and then two issues for Back story on Ratchet and Skallox. That's honestly not a good thing and they couldn't even give the reader a back story on Zillius when they even provide how John Moore becomes a red lantern. Honestly if your going to due a multi back story arc you need to do it for everyone.

How do I rate this series. I like it. It's one of my main titles of the new 52 that DC put out and Issue #6 continues to impress me. Its got a mix of good action as well as subtle drama that makes me wanting more after every issue. Sure some of the covers are misleading like Issue 4 but you find that a lot in comic books.

Do I suggest it to new readers of the DC universe. Yes but only if your mature. I don't really think kids are going to understand the meaning behind the rage induced actions of Atrocitus. He wants to kill Krona because Krona was responsible for the Genocide of his people. You see he doesn't mean to be scary as you see in Issue #2 with the little girl he just wants revenge for what happened to his entire race.

My finals words on this series. I never really was a DC fan until lately. My friend got me into reading some of the green lantern stuff and I really liked the red lanterns. I'm sure if you give this book a chance you might like it as well. It has memorable characters great art and good visuals and right now one hell of a story arc. I look forward to Issue #7
