Brrring! School was out at Glacier High School. Blossom gathered her things and walked out of Science class. It was a chilly day, and she had forgotten her coat at her house. After the rush of animals tapered off, Blossom started to her home. The walls were covered with pictures of Blake Redwood, a senior and rap artist in the school. Although Blossom, a freshman, liked Blake's music, she wasn't as crazy about the tall, muscular, red-furred fox as other girls were. Suddenly, her ears perked at a weak cry. She turned her head, and saw a boy slumped on a tree. His arm was bleeding heavily, and he was unconscious. Blossom ran to the boy and bent down. She protruded a first aid kit from her backpack and opened it. She carefully cleansed the wound with an alcohol pad, which woke the maroon-furred fox, who seemed to be in 4th or 5th grade. He stirred, and his eyes slowly opened. "Hey, are you all right?" Blossom asked. "I-It hurts." The fox rasped as he glanced at his wound. "Don't worry, it'll be fine. Let me just wrap your arm in this bandage." Blossom hummed quietly as she dressed his injury. The fox was surprised that this kind, white-and-blue-furred fox was helping him.

"There, all done! Now, let's get you home." Blossom said. "By the way, I'm Blossom. What's your name?" she added. "Fire" he replied. "That name sounds familiar...oh! You're Blake's brother!" Blossom exclaimed. "Wow... it's really nice to meet you. Come on, let's get you home." Slowly, Blossom helped Fire onto his feet and inquired, "What's your address?" He gave her his address, and the two ambled to Blake's mansion. Along the way, Fire explained what had happened to me, "After school ended, the 5th grade bullies came up to me and started saying mean things to me. They said that I'm just a shadow of my brother, and that I'll never be as good as him. Then, they started hitting me." Fire sniffed as tears rolled down his cheeks, "It was really scary. Thank you for helping me." Fire started to cry. Rose bent down and wiped his tears, "It's all right now. Don't cry." She soothed him. After a few more minutes, they reached Blake's house.

"This is my house." Fire said. He reached for the doorbell and rang it. Almost immediately, a wolf in a black suit opened the door, "I'm sorry, but this home is restricted. You are not allowed to..." The wolf opened his eyes and gazed at Fire, "Ah... Master Fire. Why were you so late today? Who is this fox?" he questioned. "Hold it. I need to speak to Blake. Now." Blossom stated. "I'm sorry, but that is not..." "CALL HIM!" Fire shouted. "As you wish, Master Fire." The butler obeyed reluctantly and pressed a button on a machine next to the door. "Please send Master Blake to the door, someone important is here to meet him." Another voice responded with an OK. Soon, Blake stepped down the magnificent stairs behind the door. "Ah, Master Blake. Master Fire has requested you to come. I will leave you alone for now." The wolf left the room. "Hey, Fire! Who have you brought here... and what happened to your arm?" Blake asked. "I found your brother unconscious and slumped on a tree. His arm was bleeding heavily. I put a bandage on his cut, but you might want to take him to a doctor." Blossom explained. "Thank you very much. Hey, you go to Glacier High, right?" "Yeah," she replied. "Anyway, thank you so much for helping my brother. I don't know how to thank you." He said. "No, it's all right. I mean, anybody would have done the same." She tried to hide her blush. "By the way, what's your name?" he asked. "Blossom." She replied. "Hey, I like that name. Thanks again, Blossom, and I guess I'll be seeing you soon?" "O-ok, bye." Blossom managed to stutter.

OH MY GOODNESS I JUST MET BLAKE REDWOOD!!! Blossom excitedly typed in her Facebook chat with her best friend Jasmine. NO WAY, YOU'RE JOKING!!! Jasmine immediately replied. Blossom quickly gave a summary of how the contact occurred. I thought you didn't like him that much, though. Jasmine electronically interrupted Blossom exaggerated version of the event. After a long time of thought, Blossom finally replied: Eh... he's actually pretty handsome.... I knew this would happen someday, Blossom. FINALLY! YOU REALIZE THAT THIS FOX IS AWESOME! Jasmine typed, stifling laughter. Blushing, Blossom quickly sent a bye to her and shut her laptop, daydreaming about the beautiful fox.

"So you're telling me that you MET him?" Jasmine repeated her Facebook conversation with Blossom. "Yup, but let's not talk about this. I don't want word to get out, especially to the stuck-up Tripod." Blossom replied. The Tripod (that was what Blossom called them) was made up of Flower (a green and pink furred rabbit), Petal (a white-furred dog), and Leaf (a green-furred wolf). They were the snooty seniors who adored Blake, and always attempted to flirt with him to gain his love. They never succeeded, though, as Blake had no interest in these types of girls. They wore plenty of makeup to look pretty, but they never did and never will. "Let WHAT get out?" a familiar voice cried behind them. Whipping around, Blossom and Jasmine realized it was Flower, the leader of the senior clique. "Mind your own business, Flower." Jasmine spoke with an icy calm. Jasmine was very good at keeping her calm, no matter how irritated she became. "I heard what happened between YOU," Flower pointed at Blossom, "and my future hubby BLAKE! I'm warning you, you better stay away from him. He's MINE, got it?!" Flower raised her voice. "Just shut up and mind your business, you poor excuse of a fox!" Jasmine spoke. "Why am I even talking to the likes of you?" Flower harrumphed and walked on her imaginary red carpet (that seemed to be everywhere) to her only two friends and several other girls that worshipped her like a goddess.

Blossom and Jasmine plopped themselves into their 1st period class seats as the bell droned. AP History with Mr. Snorman was their only class together on Fridays. After a boring review of geography, the bell finally rang. A few seconds after Blossom left the room, she collided into someone. Startled, she dropped her books. Slowly, she bent down to collect the items when a familiar voice spoke, "Hey, are you all right?" OHMYGOSH Blossom realized who it was. She lifted her head, trembling, and came face to face with Blake Redwood. "Oh, it's you! I remember... Blossom, right?" "Y-yes..." "I'm so sorry, I guess I better watch where I'm going next time." Blake grinned. "You have AP History too? You must be pretty smart, because there are only seven freshmen in this class this year." "T-thanks." "Well, we better be getting to class now. Bye." Blake rushed into the room Blossom had just left.

"TWICE in a week?! That's so cool!" Jasmine exclaimed as they walked out of Glacier High from the afterschool program. "I better hurry to catch the bus; it's starting to snow!" she shivered as white specks of ice drifted from the blanket of clouds above. "Ok, see you!" Blossom called. Brr! I better put on my jacket now Blossom thought as she zipped her backpack open. Then, she realized that she had forgotten her jacket at home. Oh well, it's my fault. I wouldn't be freezing my butt off for 20 minutes during the walk home if it weren't for my carelessness. I should've asked Jasmine for her extra coat. Blossom carefully stepped on the already coated sidewalks. It was 5:00 when the sky gradually became darker. Blossom didn't like to be out when it was dark, as the streets of Glacier Town became very frightful at that time. Blossom decided to take a shortcut to her house through a dark alley. As much as she disliked it, she was very eager to get home. Suddenly, the sound of footsteps resonated from behind Blossom. Quickening her pace, she stepped through the seemingly endless street.. Her fur wasn't protecting her, as it was October. Blossom's tail felt like an icicle as she walked through the alley. As time ticked by, the snow accumulated and the temperature dropped until Blossom couldn't stand it anymore. She ambled into an open light, shivering. Two hands flew onto each of her shoulders, and Blossom turns around in fear and astonishment.
