Book One: How I Became a Soldier

Introduction

*muffled screaming*

He gets up off his bed, grabbing his Glock. He found it in while urban exploring in Philadelphia some time ago.

"Shit, shit, shit, shit! If that motherfucker touches her again he's gonna eat a fucking forty cal' aspirin" he says to himself stepping quietly to his bedroom door.

The screaming becomes clearer.

"Get the fuck out Steve! You say your going to leave? Fucking do it already! Fuck you, get the fuck out!"

He can't hear his fathers response over the sound of smashing glass. All he hears next is a door slamming shut and a truck start. He looks out the window to see Steve and his sister driving away through the sleet. He hears his mom, Karol, run upstairs and into her room, she slams the door and cries on her bed. Matt is angry, he's shaking. He squeezes the grip on his weapon hard almost pulling the trigger and shooting a round into the floor.

He sits on his bed, getting his gear together. All currently issued combat gear acquired through a few 'friends' of his. He pulls out an old bolt-action rifle from under his bed.

He thinks to himself: "When is the next attack coming?"

Since street gangs took advantage of law enforcement being unable to do their job, crime has risen and more than a few large right-wing groups are vying for control over Americas major cities. One in particular, calling themselves 'Die Armee für Amerikas Zukunft' or The Army for Americas Future, is slowly creeping into the already violent Delware County area in Pennsylvania. They have control of large portions of New Jersey and control the highly toxic Delware River area, particulary the portion that runs through Philadelphia.

This young man, Matt, has always wondered just how toxic this river is, he will know soon enough...
