You Probably seen this on Laruf's thing, but, as he did say I wrote it, Enjoy again :3

A shadow flitted past the corner of Lukas' eyes as he was chopping down a tree; he ignored it and thought to himself, "Its day time, nothing bad ever happens during this time of day." After that statement, there was a rustling in the bushes nearby. The otter cautiously approached the shrub, his worn out stone axe tightly wielded in his grip. "Wh-Who's there," he manages to stutter out as he prods the shrub for any form of life. Moving the bush with his axe and finding that nothing was there, Lukas then nervously laughed to himself. "Probably just my imagination," he said as he walked back to the tree he was cutting down.

After his nerves calmed down, Lukas continued to lop at the tree collecting the wood as he forgets about the occurrence that happened earlier. He chuckles to himself, "you'll make a nice log for some wooden planks." The otter set down his worn out and splintering axe for a nice otterly good stretch and yawn. "What tiring work cutting down trees are," he said while scratching his belly and leaning against the tree. "And once I get some of these trees cut down I will be able to see the nice sunset behind those trees," he says jokingly with himself.

"Oh, But I see you just fine," a faint but audible voice drifts through the forest to the otter's ears, sending a chill down his spine.

"W-Who's there?" Lukas shivered reaching towards the axe he set aside, as he squeaks out, "show yourself."

Silence, the only sounds that could be heard were the rasp breathing coming from Lukas, the chattering of a squirrel, and the squawks from the birds permeating audibly through the dense forest. Quickly gathering the logs, he rushes back home, while following the path of lit torches he set earlier in the dark, foggy morning of that day.

Once he arrived back to the comfort of his home, he was greeted by his pets' slobbering tongue. He had found them one evening while walking through the forest. "Down boy," he says gently, pushing the pet down before heading into the storage room. While storing the log pieces he had gathered, something caught his peripheral vision, something that was peering through the window. Before Lukas could see who was at the window, the figure was gone. All that remained on the glass was an uneven foggy circle left with the words; "I know where you live," scrawled in it. Lukas stared in horror at the slowly fading foggy circle then rushed quickly into his room in disbelief at what he saw. "I'm probably just tired, I'm seeing things," He said while he lay on the soft bed. Pulling the green covers over him and resting his head on the soft pillow, he spoke aloud to himself, "maybe a nice nap will clear my head."

Lukas was awakened few hours later by the sound of the front door slamming open and his pet barking and scratching at the bedroom door. Getting out his bed, he reaches for his gold encrusted iron cutlass, which he got as a gift from a group of pirate merchants. Dashing out of his room and quickly surveying the area, he saw that everything was normal. The door, his pet, the whole house seemed normal like nothing happened. Lukas relaxed slightly and walked over to his pet, who was sitting there, tail wagging happily. Running his finger through its fur, his fingers brushed up against something plastic-like. No it was something stiffer, something like paper. Pulling it out, he saw that it was paper and it had something written on it in dark red, blood. "Return to where all this began," was the only thing written on the yellowing paper.

Looking around the room more thoroughly, he noticed that something was wrong and that something was missing. "Now how did I miss that?" Lukas thought to himself while walking to the spot of the missing object. Running his palm against the spot where used to be a photo of him 4 years ago in a amusement park standing next to a black furred wolf, memories flooded his mind of living in the city. Before he used to live in the city but was forced to relocate to a cloistered forest due to this new law passes by the city mayor. Any name drawn would have to partake in a social rehabilitation and he was just one of the few "lucky" names drawn for this "honorary" mission. It was more like a prison to him and it was slowly driving him insane. Twenty years without any other civilized life would drive anyone mad from boredom and loneliness.

Shaking those thoughts from his head and focusing back onto the missing picture, he began to think, "Why would they take this picture? Is it because it's of the city? Or maybe..." He quickly rushed out of his home, following the same path of lit torches back to the clearing he made earlier that day. The path look different during sunset, it was less inviting and much darker. Slowing his pace, he drew nearer and cautiously to the said location on the note he found.

"Come closer," the chilling voice called out once again from the trees in all directions. "We don't bite."

"Show yourself or selves!" demanded Lukas

"We only want to be your friends," one of the many bone-chilling voices seemed to say and moved closer. "We mean you no harm." All around him, eyes begin to glow as the sun finally set beyond the mountains.

"If you mean no harm, then why do you hide in shadows?"

The otter panicked slightly as something slowly fluttered down from the trees to his feet. It was the photo except the face of both him and the back furred wolf were scratched out

"Don't fear us, we only wanted you over for dinner," the many voices simultaneously said while breaking into laughter. A laughter so insane that it would break the sanest of furrs into blabbering infants. "That is of course, you'll be the main course."

Lukas tried to run but his legs felt as heavy as lead making him unable to move. Looking around feeling frightened, he tried to find a way to escape, but found none. All around were thousands or glowing red eyes peering from the shadows. Helplessly, Lukas fell to the floor breaking into tears and shouting, "leave me alone!"

Footsteps echoed through the forest as a shadowy figure leaped onto the poor otter whose eyes were firmly shut as tears streamed down his cheeks. Fearing he would no longer draw breath he cries stridently not wanting to die. That was until he felt something familiar, a warm and fleshy press against his lips. A kiss. The otter relaxed slightly as his reflexes wrapped his arms around the figure on top of him, trying to remember where he last smelled this person's scent. Returning the kiss, he opened his eyes to a familiar pair of emerald green eyes that were glistening in the moonlight. A familiar scar ran down jaggedly across the right eye; that silverish pinkish colored scar almost seemed to glow in the moonlight.

"Hello, Luke" the figure softly said. "Sorry if I scared you too much."

Looking up at the figure above him, Lukas gazed into the face off his "assailant". The face of the assailant had a soft silky smoothed furred muzzle with the face of a black furred wolf with reddish ear tips. Lukas smiled and weakly utters out as he hugged the wolf tightly. "Kai? .... Oh Kai I missed you so much."
