The Human: Chapter 1
First chapter of my first story! I really hope I dont get writer's block.
The void Aaron was in taunted him with images of his past. His life was flashing before his very eyes. Gruesome images of his mother's untimely death, horrific sound created as his father was slain before his very eyes. Aaron felt every breath get slower and slower. He felt his internal fire slowly dim. Who knew magic could fail in so many ways. A terrible darkness began to fill Aaron views. Darkness advanced from the corner of his view. A tunnel created from his lack of air. He let out a terrible scream to fight the dark, it was futile, the darkness engulfed his vision.
"I'm hungry" whines Jamie. One look at him and you could immediately sense his immaturity. It could be the Reptilian anthromorph's sneaky grin, or the fact that his khakis and shirt had Internet memes written all over it.
"I thought you were supposed to bring the food!" says Steven with clear annoyance at Jamie. Steven was an overall average Tiger anthromorph, he was medium-built but he was a bit shorter than average. His eyes darted from side to side as if sensing something terrible was to happen. Jamie and Steven never really got along, their friendship ceased and restarted from time to time.
"Great we are lost in the middle of the night without food, it can't get any worse." says Jamie.
As if on cue a flash engulfed the sky. The flash released a display of colors followed by a deafening noise. A shadowed figure fell out of the explosion.
"Look an ugly Fox anthro just exploded mid air!" shouts Jamie who barely had time to notice that Steven had already ran towards the explosion. "No Steven! There might be radiation or something" He chased after Steven.
After Jamie finally chatting up with Steven the victim of the explosion was put into spotlight.
"It's a..." stammers Jamie.
"Human" states Steven plainly.
