#25 - Saddled With An Unstabled Partner
#25 of The Many Perversions of Romari Susi
Romari Susi is a dirty old wolf, the emperor of a mighty nation, and the joint-CEO of a massive worldwide corporation; he's well respected, and is closeted from the rest of the world, though it's a poorly kept secret at best. He shares his bed with his straight-laced secretary, co-CEO, and mate Neal, who is a flying fox (AKA, a fruit bat). Luckily for their domestic tranquility, Neal is rather open to his mate's wide-ranging romantic exploits.
Joining them in their adventures is the captain of their imperial guard, a raccoon named Taxas.

Imperial Assistant Neal:"What's the matter, Captain? You seem tense."
Captain of the Guard Taxas:"It's Sully. Remember how he said he wanted a stable relationship?"
Neal:"As I recall you were rather ecstatic about it."
Taxas:"Right. I'm starting to wonder if maybe he didn't mean what I thought he did."
Neal:"Having second thoughts?"
Taxas:"And thirds, too." *Hands Neal a card and a stack of papers* "Read the card."
Neal: "'You are cordially invited to'...? A wedding invitation? Are you getting married, Captain?"
Taxas:"Keep reading."
Neal: "...'the spiritual union between Sullivan Goldenrod and... Greased Lightning'? _ He's marrying His Excellency's _feral breeding stallion?! This is... Is this a joke?"
Taxas:"Afraid not, sir. I talked to him and he has the paperwork filed with the Board of Matrimonial Ceremonies. Apparently the new appointees His Grace selected for this term are a bit more...liberal than the old ones. So long as it's legal, they'll approve it, and since he revised the marriage laws to allow for 'nonstandard partnerships'..."
Neal:"But...the horse is His Excellency's property! How can this... What? And what are these other papers? A summons to a trial? For 'willful and repeated counts of enforced sexual misconduct and slavery'? To a feral?! This doesn't make any sense!"
Taxas:"I know! I thought Sullivan was happy with how things were!"
Neal: "'...marriage rights afforded to the empire's citizens...' '...forcing an unwilling citizen to engage in sexual activities against his will...' '...seizure and sale of his offspring...' '...organized slavery ring...' '...severe statutory criminal offenses'?! This is outrageous!"
Taxas:"Yeah. Sully could've at least broken it off with me before getting engaged!"
Neal:"Captain, if the emperor and I manage to avoid the six life sentences we're faced with, remind me to talk to you about your attention span and the order of your priorities. They're in serious need of reorganization."
