Uh oh, another fail story by me! It's just story writing practice that's all ^^

It's about my soulless adoptable Desdemona, which I categorized as a daemon, being an assassin that kills souls instead of the body of the victim and was hired by someone with telepathic abilities whose identity shall remain unknown.

Don't ask why I thought of that, it just popped in mind days ago and decided to try it out, okay? :3

A young woman was the only person walking in the park late at night. The trees were big and full of leaves that blocked the glow given off by the full moon in the sky. The slender female looked mostly human with fluffy and canine-like ears and tail. Her hands, most of her tail and ears, and outside her arms starting from the shoulder were cyan color that blurred into her dark skin. They also had small line markings going across those canine-like features and limbs in a more brighter color. Her dark colored face had those markings as well, but around the cheeks and over her green eyes. The rest were barely seen through her bangs from her long light green hair. She wore an sleeveless undershirt and a pair of footless leggings in black. She covered her shirt with a short kimono and tied it with a teal long and narrow sash. Her pair of arm warmers and ankle socks were also that color. She took her time walking without worried expression on her face in her wooden sandals and held an oil umbrella over her head.

She looked left and right, only to see trees blocking her view. She just continued and looked down the walkway, sighing in agitation, but not at her limited view. Moments later, she heard something above her, like a few small branches snapping, and stopped. She looked up at the source, raising a brow at what was in front of her. What jumped down from the tree by her stood a male wolf. He wore ripped jeans and unzipped jacket over his detailed build and wore no shoes. There was also a knife and its sheath attached to his waist, but was barely seen due to his hand hovering around it like he was getting ready to draw it. He gave a smirk, examining the female humanoid from the head down. He chuckled and said, "Well, aren't you a cute one!"

She stood in place, spinning her umbrella and didn't add a single expression to her face. "Thanks", she said. "Now if you excuse me..."

The wolf crossed his arms and shook his head, still giving the same smirk to her. "You must be new to this part of town. Why would a sexy girl like you be walking here alone after midnight?"

She sighed in agitation. "I've lived here longer than you did... and I'm going for my night stroll. Now move..." She started walking slowly and not looking at the canine, just went right by him after shoving him aside with a bump from her hip and continued down the walkway.

The wolf looked puzzled, just watching her leave him with no problem at all. He then growled and pulled his rusty knife out. He sharply turned around and yelled, "Who the hell do you think you are?! You're not leaving unless I say so, you hear?!"

She came to a stop and smiled to herself. "I know that my name is Desdemona." She turned around and spun her umbrella again. "But what about you, for someone so tough and bossy?"

"Much better..." The wolf huffed and replied with, "You can call me Wesley..." He gave a big smile at Desdemona and slowly moved toward her, tossing the knife from one hand and back to the other until he gripped it with his right. "...and you and I are going to have a fun time. Well I would, but..."

"Hmm... Wesley..." She grinned to herself and thought, Target spotted... Preparing to eliminate...

A deep, masculine voice replied in her mind with, "Excellent, now don't fail me."

You paid me for a reason, you know... Desdemona stopped grinning to herself and observed the wolf slowly moved forward to her. The humanoid sighed to herself and dropped her umbrella to the pavement, then rushed to Wesley. The canine pointed his knife at Desdemona and stood in place. He then blinked when she gently placed her hands on his exposed chest then her forehead. "Um", he said, "what are you doing?"

Desdemona rubbed Wesley's torso slowly, still keeping her head where it was. "What does it look like to you?" She was really hiding her grin again from the canine. "No need for the knife, hon."

Wesley just paused. "What are you, easily submissive?"

Desdemona closed her eyes and responded with, "Maybe? Now please... put the knife away." She watched from the side with one eye open as the wolf instantly tossed his rusty weapon away, vanishing into the grass. Shutting her eye again, her grin increased into a big smile, exposing her sharp teeth, then thought, Too easy...

Wesley slowly moved his hand upward, just to roughly place it on top of her head and tightly grip a handful of her hair. Desdemona winced and closed her eyes tighter. Wesley smirked and took his time making her look up at him. He noticed the female's weren't visible, so he demanded, "Before we get started... open your eyes. I want to see them." He groaned loudly and shielded his own eyes with his free hand when Desdemona opened hers. A brief flash came from her pair and they glowed bright green. Wesley lost grip of the humanoid's head and used both hands to rubbed his eyes, groaning in pain. He staggered backwards and fell to the ground. "What the hell?!"

Desdemona sharply shook her head and straighten out her hair, still exposing her teeth in a more sinister way. She took slow steps towards the wolf groaning in agony. Once she stood next to his body, her hands started to develop an aura in the same color as her eyes. Then she put her hands together, forming a knife out of her neon green aura and gripped it tight in one hand. She went down her knees and placed her free hand on Wesley's chest again, feeling his rapid heartbeat with her palm.

Wesley finally decided to bring his hands off his eyes and opened them. They were red and bloodshot from the bright flash. He whimpered slightly from the irritation in his eyes because they were tearing and twitching. He looked up at Desdemona once more and gasped, staring into her glowing eyes with fear. "What are you?!"

"Oh, no one special", Desdemona replied. She twirled her knife and continued, "Just hired to do something, that's all..."

"Yeah right", Wesley yelled, noticing the knife made out of her aura, and attempted to move. But her hand that was planted on the wolf's chest gave off more of that same material as Desdemona's weapon again, but this time it developed on her palm and sparkled briefly. Wesley strained and grunted, trying his absolute best to get up. After a few attempts to go mobile, he moved his head up and stared at his body he was trying to function. His eyes widened and hyperventilated, starting to panic. "I can't move!! What did you do to me?!"

Desdemona stop twirling her knife and held it underhand. "Aw, poor thing..." She scratched an X marking on Wesley with it and stopped from hearing the wolf whimper constantly. She just chuckled and said, "Sad... You went from tough guy... to this in a few minutes." She crawled on top of the wolf with both hands on the knife. She raised it high and over her head. Her evil grin showed Wesley her teeth once more, making the canine whimper loudly.

Wesley's bloodshot eyes were shut tight once Desdemona swung her makeshift weapon downward at him with all her might. Seconds went by, Wesley opened one eye and focused on the green object pierced through his chest. He opened both eyes just to blink them a couple times. "That...didn't hurt me?"

"It's not suppose to", replied Desdemona. "This... is what it does." She pulled on her knife sharply, quickly cutting the wolf's torso wide open. The open wound didn't shed no blood, but instead gave off a weird green glow as bright as her eyes. She extracted her sharp object from Wesley and held it underhand again. The other hand was slowly placed inside the glowing opening, making the canine's body jerk and eyes slowly roll to the back of his head.

With ease, Desdemona pulled out a white and transparent version of the wolf by his neck from his now lifeless body. As Wesley gasps and surprisingly looks at his body that gave off its own bright white aura, Desdemona raised her knife once more and violently impacted onto Wesley, right between his eyes. The see-through figure couldn't even gasp his last before it poofed into white smoke.

Her ears flicked as she smiled from watching the ghostly smoke levitate then vanish in thin air. She huffed from looking down at the deceased body she was still mounting. The green light inside the deep cut she made slowly dimmed until its glow vanished from the motionless being. "And that's what you get for disturbing my stroll", Desdemona said with a chuckle after her weapon disappeared and eyes went back to their normal state. She stood back up, wiping the bit of dirt she had on her leg coverings, then stretched her arms and gave a light groan in the process. While reaching out for her open umbrella, she thought, I know you paid me to kill him and it was satisfying, but... why a low life rapist?

"Because", replied that manly voice in her mind. "I want to see how you handle your victims as an assassin-- how you destroy the soul instead of the body itself. I've never believed that, but... now that I see it, it's quite an interesting ability for a daemon like you."

She grinned as she grabbed the handle of her umbrella and let it relax on her shoulder, letting shield her from the moonlight again. Why thank you for the compliment and giving me such an easy target.

"After seeing that performance...I got another job for you, and this time I'm paying you double than the last one. Interested?"

Desdemona continued down the walkway and away from the body, rubbing her chin and giving off one last smirk. I'm listening...
