To Wish Upon a Star

Author's notes: Author's notes: Ugh... it's hot... slimy... and I think I'm going to pass out. The weather here... sucks to say the least and it's not helping my desire to write, but the show must go on! >__> Anyways... Like before, the characters in this story are all based off people in my life, so I don't own them in any way -smirk- if only =/

By the way, I'm starting to realize I need people to encourage me to write every now and then xD So if you want another chapter, feel free to bug me in any way you can:

Chapter Two: The Crazy Night Life

Now what we're testing today is to see how gravity affects an object that oscillates. I want everyone to set up their apparatus like so. Make sure the pendulum is in the center of the photo gate so it can take an accurate measurement of the period of each pendulum swing. For your lab reports due next class I want you to graph the total time it took over the length of the string that the pendulum hangs from.

Brian groaned to himself, in any other situation, he would be happy that today was Friday, but Fridays meant Physics 101 Lab at eight in the morning with the worst professor he has. Being the only other guy in class, the professor always aimed his comments and questions in Brian's direction. It almost seemed like he was trying to spite Brian for ruining his all girl class. "This is stupid, I'm in physics, not cooking" he murmured, slightly agitated with his elbows propping his head up on the lab table. Suddenly, Brian heard his name being called, kicking him out of his little daze while sending a paralyzing shock down his spine.

"Um, yes sir?"

"Since you were paying attention so well, when I say calculate g, what are we referring to?"

If there was one thing the fox could say he was necessarily good at, it would be fighting off his teacher's attempts to fool him in class. Not to mention that he had taken physics in high school, so none of it was new in any way. He put on his best "Pfft, think you could stump me?" expression and wore it with pride as he turned around and sat up, all eyes on him now.

"g is equal to gravity, so if we did the experiment right, g should equal gravity, which is negative nine point eight meters per second squared."

Like always, Brian decided to breeze through the lab experiment, taking all the data and doing the pointless calculations as quick as he could, as if by getting out of class earlier he would bring himself one step closer to night time. Night time of course, meant his little date with Kerry to the gay night at Club Claws. In the fox's mind, whoever came up with the quote "time flies by while you're having fun" needed to be shot. His take was that time slowed down when not having fun as Brian's eyes glanced once more at the clock, making it the sixth time in the last four minutes. Eventually Physics 101 Lab ended, then social studies, and the never ending Math 110. Finally, he was free; the fox's hopes high in the clouds by then.

Walking on the cobblestone pathway leading to his dorm, Brian suddenly felt a pair of arms flinging themselves around the arctic fox's neck, accompanied by a sudden "Hey sexy" echoing in his furry ears. The only thing holding Brian back was the sweet tone, clinging tightly to those two words.

"Ugh~! Kerry, I swear. You're lucky my reflex's are off today, otherwise I would have just elbowed you square in the muzzle."

She chuckled playfully, still holding onto him loosely as she whispered lightly in his ear: "I'm just getting you ready for tonight. You're going to be hearing that a lot, I don't know what to expect tonight, but I can tell you that a gorgeous snow white fox like yourself will get lots of attention your way, and not to mention a few paws in your--"

The white furred fox groaned to himself, knowing full well what the next word was going to be, trying his best to catch the word off the tip of her tongue a little embarrassed, his paw covering up Kerry's muzzle as fast as he could.

"In my fur, we're going to a dance club Kerry, not a strip club. I doubt every male there will be bumping and grinding one another" he thought wishfully to himself, unable to imagine how he'd manage attention from every fur in the club.

Brian was very naive and innocent for his age, without any relationship experience in his life; he was basically unaware of how attractive he really was. Being incredibly attractive while being inexperienced and naive is a dangerous combination in any situation, lush white fur covered the boy's slender, slightly feminine frame, his eyes tinted with an abnormal bright shade of azure blue. His friends never truly understood how someone so attractive, and who's body begged to be touched in every possible spot, could have barely any relationship experience whatsoever.

The fox's mind and body were two different things completely. While Brian's body displayed a cute and innocent boy who needed someone to hold, his emotions told a different story, of the cliché world of pain behind the empty smiles. His love life was a fraction of what was expected of a normal teenager mostly because of one person in his life. When Brian was sixteen years old, in the process of questioning his sexuality, he fell in love at first sight with an adorable snow leopard by the name of Jordan. For a good year and a half, Brian followed the white leopard as he went through males every other month and never considered the fox a possible option. Brian always felt betrayed, the long nights of dreaming about kissing for the first time with Jordan never materialized to anything. Always being the person to turn to in times of need equated to nothing but the feeling of being purely empty and worthless. No matter how hard he tried, Brian was always on the short end of Jordan's affection, despite being there every night he needed someone, being the taxi service to drive him to his mate's house and pick him up. Eventually Brian realized he was nothing more than a resource for the leopard, who never really had an intention of being with him. His "relationship" with Jordan proved fruitless, only turning out to be endless nights of sobbing, loneliness, and three trips to the hospital for attempted suicide.

Mix all that with bullies in school, family issues, and drama with friends and others, and it all formed a dismal abyss that controlled the arctic fox in ways he still couldn't understand. He's shy from being picked on so much in middle school. His inability to form a relationship with people he loved was simply a result of his trials and tribulations associated with the period of time in which he slaved over himself to unsuccessfully win Jordan's love. His quick reflex developed throughout his pre-teen to early teenage years where he tried his best to avoid being bruised from the multiple times he was beaten up in a week. Shortcomings aside, Brian hid his past from others well.

The time between three and nine o'clock was mostly spend into one giant nap, until he woke up, realizing he was supposed to be on the shuttle headed to the city in exactly forty five minutes. Forty five minutes on a normal day would probably be enough to take a shower, get dressed and pack up to head out. Once the idea of finding someone special tonight came to mind, Brian stressed out about every little detail he could fret over. Miraculously, he got himself together, all cleaned and dressed up, waiting in line with Kerry for the bus in only a half hour.

The club itself had relatively no line, seeing as furs with deviating sexual orientations were definitely a rarity in the area. When the two of them first stepped into the club, two things instantly came to their minds. First, how large the Club Claws was, second, how many attractive males were in attendance that night. The normal voice tone was drowned out completely by the deafening blast of the club speakers, projecting trance and techno loud enough to be heard two blocks over. It got quieter downstairs, in the lounge area of the club, where there was an open bar and a karaoke station set up in the corner. Having already lost track of Kerry, Brian sat himself down on one of the lounge couches, listening to the karaoke singers. Relaxing there was the fox's way of being shy and distant from everyone without looking the part.

A few songs in, people started to approach him, almost as if they read into his little guise. Brian's attention was interrupted for a moment when he felt a breath of hot air against his neck, as a muzzle slowly inched its way to one of his fluffy white ears. A voice suddenly took place of the skunk on stage who was singing horribly. The stranger's muzzle pressed against the twitching snow white ear as he began to whisper "hey cutie, are you interested in coming outside for a three way...?" Shaking his head furiously, Brian didn't even turn around to acknowledge whoever was creepy enough to ask a stranger for meaningless yiff. The night went on and as each person got off the stage, the urge to get up himself and sing became more and more prevalent. The second he had gathered up enough courage to at least look at the song book and see if any interesting songs were available, a rabbit sat near him. They both greeted each other with nods of the shy sort, nothing was said until the brown furred bunny leaned in close as if he was going to say something, paused for a moment, then finally did. He simply asked at a normal voice tone "hey, I think I've seen you around campus. Do you go to Bobcat University?" Brian nodded to the stranger who still hadn't given a name or an age, only the fact that he appeared to be stalking the arctic fox.

"I'm Brent... and I'm a sophomore, I live off campus so chances are you haven't seen much of me" the bunny boy grinned, getting a little too close every time he spoke. Out of nowhere, he gave a light little nudge to the fox, as if he was trying to obtain Brian's attention once more. "So how come you're not in the gay club at school, I know a few guys that would love to get to know you better, including myself" Brent whispered, ending his sentence with an innocent, yet playfully seductive giggle. Brent was something special, and Brian could surmise this by himself almost instantly. He couldn't tell what it was just yet, but the chemistry between the fox and rabbit was astounding. As quick as they met, the two were separated when Brent ventured out into the endless sea of furs, also known as the dance floor. Brian never saw him again for the rest of the night.

Eventually, the karaoke room got boring, roughly around the same time the fox was reunited with Kerry, who had an invitation to a dorm party back on campus. The crazy night life never seemed to end at school. It was already twelve midnight, yet it seemed that the party was just getting started. The pair of foxes contently rode the bus back to school, sharing their stories of how Kerry met a rabbit who was a sophomore much like who Brian had met. It was a shame that Brent ran off before he could get at least a phone number, but that was immensely overshadowed by the fact that Brian faced his no longer insurmountable fear of crowds to get up on stage to sing "Never Leave" by Seether at the karaoke lounge.

A half hour passed before the two of them got into the upper classmen dorms, trying to find their way through the endless maze-like corridors of the Wood's View dorms. "Here it is... I think, room three...forty...five...? No, next one" Kerry groaned, struggling to grasp the concept of the numbering system in the dorms. Brian wasn't a happy camper either, seeming a little anxious to meet even more new people. "Well, if this is three forty four, wouldn't three forty five be right across the hall? Maybe... hey there it is. Jeeze, talk about a wild goose chase" he shrugged, approaching the door. He pulled back his paw, getting ready to pound on the door loud enough to be heard, but before he could follow through, the handle turned downward and the door opened. That's all there was to it. Like that, two freshmen had pulled off a remarkable social feat. They had snuck into the upperclassmen dorms to attend a party.

Any college junior would have taken one step into the room and immediately stepped out. There was nothing special about the "party", almost something passé in the eyes of the experienced. There were eight people just drinking and talking in the common room, the radio playing music off the mediocre student produced radio station. The two fox's were greeted and treated with a strange amount of hospitality from the drunken crowd. Kerry and Brian passed themselves off as transfer students for the night while they sat around and talked about subjects like the war and religion with people who've had a few too many cans of beer.

The clock struck two thirty, and everyone was beginning to pack up and head back to their rooms, preparing for massive hangovers in the morning by stocking up bottles of water. They were trying to drink as much as they could to flush out their system before going to bed. "Hey, Brian, you're the only sober one here. Would you mind helping me bring the chairs back to my room?" a voice shot out from the room, it seemed to come in the direction of a tiger that had been drinking a lot over the course of the night. Being one who always offers a helping paw, Brian nodded, beginning to stack up some chairs, dragging them to what he believe to be the tiger's room. He tried to get all the chairs in one quick batch so he could catch up with Kerry to say goodnight before she went into her room. The arctic fox unstacked the chairs, starting to organize them into what looked like their rightful spot until his furry ears twitched furiously in shock. The door behind him had slammed, and when Brian looked back to see what it was, he found the tiger stacking up chairs at the door, as if to barricade the exit. What he saw was followed by an exchange of faces and a few sentences on behalf of the tiger. "Okay now here's the deal you fucking slut, I'm going to give you three choices. You can either one, give me head, two pose naked for a lot of pictures and videos, or you can let me feel you up and touch every inch of your sexy body" the tiger growled proudly, like a predator that had his helpless prey cornered, granted that right now Brian felt like a helpless prey. All the fox could do was try to defend himself, which proved useless after a few minutes of grabs, punches, and kicks. Now in no position to bargain, the fox was being fastened to the wall by the tiger's paws, one holding him fiercely by the neck, the other secured his two wrists. The stranger acknowledged his success with a malicious grin. "I'll make it easy on you", he claimed, still tightening his grip on his white furred prisoner. "You seem like you've never even been loved before... you worthless little scum. I'll let you off easy because you're a pitiful little fox. If you don't move, or try anything stupid, you'll get out of here with your virginity still intact, do I make myself clear slut?" Brian was in no position to fight back, so he simply allowed his body to be violated. The pair of paws that held him down was now exploring their way over every square inch of his unwilling yet supple body. His clothes stayed on but were remiss in their purpose as the tiger's paws inched their way over the boy's sheath and tail hole, creating a euphoric but guilty sense of pleasure in Brian's mind. Everything after the initial actions remained a blur in his head for a very long time.

The night finished with a broken spirited fox, stumbling his way back home through an eight hundred meter walk of shame to the freshmen dorms. He needed someone to talk to; someone to hold him, but there was no one. Desperately, he flipped through the contact list of his cell phone, and tried to call anyone that would be up and willing to talk.

"This is Kerry; I can't come to the phone right--"

"Hey this is Brandon, sorry I couldn't--"

"Hey! What's up? Not much man other than the fact that this is Mike's answering machine--"

"I'm sorry, the number 596-5687-433, is not available--"

"Alex isn't here right now; please leave your name--"

"Some friends..." Brian whimpered, completely crushed and demoralized, no one was around to even talk. Never in his life had he felt so worthless and dirty. All he could do was to look up into a sky which appeared to be a canvas on which the stars were painted along in a fury of meticulous brush strokes, illuminated by the glow of a pale moon.

"Star light, star bright, first star--" Brian interrupted himself, growling at the top of his lungs in pure distress "Ugh~! It was a fucking airplane!" he cried, dropping to his knees, unable to carry on, stopping a few feet in front of the door to his building. Right there he curled up in a ball and cried his heart out for ten minutes until he could regain what composure he had left and headed into the building, struggle up a flight of stairs, open the door to his room and curl into bed, lonely and ashamed. No one was there to console him, or remove the dismal feeling of being completely worthless to everyone.
