Sorry for the late upload...but this thing called real life got in the way...I've also Been watching Death Note...hehe anyway this is still on my iPod so without any more waiting let's get go. ..........

As segolia laid down prone in a bush with his sniper held out and ready he knew that this snap Ambush had to work...otherwise they are all dead. About 15 feet to his right Snake had crouched behind a tree and was keeping his weapon trained on the tree tops. Whitpen was behind a fallen tree With his eyes scanning for the slightest movement.

The idea of a snap ambush was to quickly ambush your followers with a quick burst of fire and then get out of there before the targets know what's happening.

Segolia's view consisted of a large open area of low grass and plants with very little trees for cover. A perfect kill zone. As he watched the area his mind wandered back to Ghost. The moment he got pulled through that arch he didn't hesertate to jump in after him. But is he even still alive? Does he even know we came after him? Segolia cleared his mind of these thoughts before they expanded into doubt.

The air seemed so quiet and still. Almost like this part of the world was frozen in time. His mind began to wander again, this time thinking off Graves, Hunter and Driver. Did they even make it through? But this time his thoughts changed, then he said to himself "I bet hunter would order the arch to let him through."

Whitpen then spoke up "so it's on your mind aswell" he sighed. "let's worry about that later, right now we have other problems"

After that quick speech the scilence reterned. The deadly scilence as it was known in training. It's the kind of scilence that only ever happened right before a firefight.

Seconds later a twig snapped somewhere infront of them. All 3 men tenced up and their grip on their weapons tightened. Segolia then slowed his breathing to steady his sniper more. What ever was following them was about to show itself.

Hunter had ran Driver and Graves right up to the rocks that they had spotted in the distance. Driver was breathing hard due to Hunter not letting him slow down for a second. The rock spire seemed to spiral upwards and reach the hight of 4 men and it was about 40 inches thick. The rock was a dark black with silver markings engraved onto it.

Graves saw them and said "these look like the ones from the arch" he reached up to it to brush his hand along it. When he touched it a sharp pain shot through his whole body and by pure instinct he jumped backwards shaking his hard.

Hunters face was showing no concern for Graves when he said "what's the matter? Stone too heavly armed?"

Graves looked at his hand "that thing is freaking freezing!!!" he showed Hunter his hand as it had a thin layer of frost that had formed over the points of contact.

Driver spoke up "how the hell is it cold? It's been in the sun all day, unless..." Driver opened his arms and said in a loud voice "Ersing!"

He steped back expecting something to happen. But the rock stayed as it was, looming over them.

Graves said "well it worked for the arch." he then started walking around the strange rock taking in all of it's sights and details, while the sun was glareing down on his head. "well I'm as clueless as Driver with a map."

That comment got an annoyed "Hey!!" from driver

Hunter then said "so it's unknown to us...and we found it first. You know what this means boys?" without waiting for an answer he said "that means it's now ours."

Driver replyed to Hunter "I don't want this man...it's creepy!"

Hunter shouted "Wrong answer!!! I'm pretty sure you meant OOH-RAR!!...now since your so motivated about this you will be the one who works out what it is." he then spotted something and his tone of voice changed "and why it hasn't got a shadow."

Graves then said "What?!" but upon looking at it he too saw that this rock was casting no shadow at all. "ok this is the strangest thing I've ever seen and I've seen some really strange things in my life."

Driver then stated "hey you know we heard water? Well what if this links to that somehow?" no-one answered him. "fine then I'll find out" he then carefully looked at the symbols on the rock and drew them on his note book. Meanwhile Graves was flexing his hand to check if it was ok.

Hunter spoke to driver "Driver you and Graves keep working on this, I'll try the radio again." he tapped his ear peace and started talking into it in the hopes of reaching anyone.

Whitpen, segolia and Snake were ready to fire at a seconds notice. Yet none of them expected the little enegetic voice that broke their mood. "hehe you guys are funny...what are we playing?"

The voice came from right behind Segolia and without a moments hesertation he abandoned his sniper, turned, grabbed the owner of the voice and put his knife to their throat and was about to slash when he saw the eyes. He was looking into somethings eyes. But they were deep green and young and scared.

The figure was struggleing against Segolias grip when Snake came up and jammed the barrel of his weapon into the figures chest and shouted "You think you could sneak up on us?!?! Well...did you?!?!"

The figure coughed out a "please...don't." it then begain to sob.

Segolia got a better look at who he was holding. It looked like a fox, only crossed between a human aswell...it looked male by the build of the body...he was wearing a green leather strap going around his bare torso that had a bow and arrows attached to it. His orange fur had been dotted with what looked like gold paint that had been put Into a whole seires of swirls and patterns. He also had a knife attached to a belt that he was wearing. But the thing that stood out most for Segolia was this Fox seemed young...most likely a child. Segolia dropped the child on the ground and stood up saying "hold your fire!"

The child was coughing and holding his neck, Segolias grasp has clearly Hurt it. Snake seemed in a rage "what are you doing?!? It will kill us!" snake started pulling down on the trigger until Whitpen quickly hit the weapon upwards and a shot rang out as it went through the trees above them.

Whitpen looked Snake directly in the eyes and said "I don't care what this is! We do NOT kill children!" he looked back at the fox anthro laying on the ground. He seemed to be in a state of fear. Whitpen turned back to Snake "Segolia...make sure the kids ok...Snake stand down."

Snake looked almost betrayed "your letting it live?! That monster!!" he pointed at the child with a shaking hand. "what's wrong with you sir!"

Whitpen slowly let go of Snake and said "We are NightStorm not TigerForce."

The mention of TigerForce made Snake flinch. TigerForce was another patrol that had a very good reputation for killing more innocent people that enemy targets. The type of things they do sometimes was so bloody that no-one even dares to mention it. TigerForce ended up being killed via Firing squad for numerious war crimes.

Snakes rage subsided a little bit "but sir..."

Whitpen cut him off "no buts Soldier I am not having one of my men kill without meaning!...Segolia how's the kid"

The child spoke up "in called Sam...not kid."

Segolia then spoke to Sam "a thank you would have been more fitting."

Sam stood up still rubbing his neck. He only got up to shoulder hight on the men. "you guys are mean. That other Human was better."

All 3 men felt like they just got hit by a tank shell...other Human? Who did he mean? Segolia said in a rushed tone "what other Human...where?"

Sam giggled and said "I don't know his name but he was in my village...the village of the Red fire...the village I live in, they were bringing him in as I left."

The 3 men looked at each other and all seemed to know what the other was thinking...Ghost was alive..but captured.

Sam spoke up again in a child like voice "have you got any food? I didn't pack any"

Whitpen pulled put a fruit bar that was wrapped up in silver foil and handed it to Sam who took it with a curious look. "what's this?" he then sniffed it a few times before poking the foil. His ears twitched and he laughed at the sound of the crumpling foil.

Segolia sighed and said "you pull that off first, here I'll do it" Segolia took the bar and unwrapped it before handing it back.

Sam then asked "what sort of animal is this?"

Snake shouted "it's not an animal you idiot now shut up!" a quick glare from whitpen made Snake receade.

Sam then said "my Dad was wrong not all humans are evil...only 1 in 3." he then giggled which also got a chuckle from Segolia and Whitpen. Sam then popped the bar into his mouth and greadly gobbled it down! "mmm this is nice!! I like human food"

Whitpen then asked "where is this other human? He might be a friend of ours." whitpen seemed to be very relaxed around the armed Fox, almost like he trusted him and vice verser.

Sam said " I can take you to my village. It's not too far...I can't wait to tell everyone what you did to the blood fang tribe!"

Segolia said with confusion "Blood Fang? ...do you mean those wolf things? Wait...you saw that? How long have you been following us?"

Sam just giggled and said "those guys hate us, they always attack us and..." Sam seemed to loose all of his happyness and suddenly just get depressed.

Whitpen said "Sam...are you ok?"

Sam muttered something under his breath which only Segolia heard...it sounded like 'Mum'

Driver had been writing things down in his note book for a while now, Hunter had given up on the radio and had had some of his rations. Graves putting a freash bandage on his injered left arm. No-one really spoke, all were deep in thought about this strange black rock that towered above their heads. Until Driver stood up shouting in exitement "I've got it!!"

The other two turned towards him awaiting his explanation. "well you see these two symbols only show up once." he pointed to a drawing of a spiral with a skull in the middle that he had drawn and beside it was a square with another skull in the middle. "these two are the key."

Hunter and graves both looked equally confused "the key?" said Hunter "the key to what...and how did you work that out?"

Driver started pointed at different symbols saying "well these two are both what struck Graves and this one here looks like it means danger...but over here" he walked up to the Black stone and reached his hand towards it. Before the others could stop him he put his hand on a symbol that looked like a water droplet. "is conpleatly safe" Driver looked pleased with his finds.

Graves said "I don't get it."

Driver sighed and said "it's quite simple. This rock has defences. One of which you trigered. But the skulls tipped me of...this is some sort of sacrafical rock. So I knew that this symbol is just like the ones I was studdying before we left... It means something along the lines of "blood for life"

Hunter then said "you lost me at 'i've got it'."

Driver sighed and pulled his hand back, but in doing so he grazed his hand on the rocks edges and a small trickly of blood ran Down where his hand had been.

Driver was about to explain it again when suddenly the rock shook...then got stronger. Until suddenly with a force that made the 3 men fall over a dark cloud shot out off the rock and slowly swepted across the sky, blocking out all light from the sun. Over the noice hunter shouted "Close formation, don't fall away from each other!"

Then the dark cloud engulfed the 3 men.

Meanwhile back with Sam, Segolia, Snake and whitpen they were all talking and walking after Sam back to what he claimed was his village when they saw a dark shape rise up from the distance. It almost looked like smoke. Sam saw it and was in shock. "No...it...it can't be...oh please no!!"

Segolia said urgently "what's happening!!?!?"

Sam turned to then with fear stricken eyes "The Darkness!"

Ooohhh what's the darkness...what did Driver just do and why is Sam so scared of it? Well you will find out soon.
