DEAD FUR , chapter 2 - just what I needed

"looks like well be going to the same school together I guess then eh?" Kevin said to me as my mind began to wonder looking around. "huh?... oh yeah right right , sorry my mind was wondering" I said nervously trying not to look stupid and make a bad first impression in front of him. "haha you better be carefull about that at school they wont go so lightly on ya." He said as he punched my shoulder jokingly and laughing "yeah well , ive seen the worst of the worst with teachers" I said confidently. Just then my mother came to ask me something "kian sweety can you help the movers with a few boxe- oh hello there , im tracey , kians mother" my mother said as she came up to see what I was doing. "helo mrs.tracey , im Kevin im your nextdoor neighbor." Kevin replied back trying not to giggle "oh joy kian you've already made a new friend and hes our neighbor!" my mother said happily looking at Kevin then at me "well I have to get back and finish a report but it was great meeting you guys." Kevin said as he was about to turn around to leave "great meeting you to Kevin I said as I gave him a hug then ran to help the movers with a few boxxes" . something though had caught my attention. I could've sworn I saw him blush when I hugged him. Oh well I shrugged the thought aside and continued moving boxes out of the uhaul and into the house Right after I took the last box out of the truck and braught it upstairs , it was my box so I just set it in my room. Me and my mom went to drive around to see what this new town had to offer. We both hopped into the car and started to head out of our new neighborhood and into town. We stopped at a few good places to check them out. For some reason I couldn't get Kevin off of my mind. There was just something about him that I liked... which was weird. As I was thinking to myself about everything that was happening I barely heard my mother speak. "well here we are kian sweety , your new school youll be going to" my mom said to me excitedly as she parked the car into the visitor parking center . "wooo" I said sluggishly as I got out of the car and waited for my mom before walking up to the front entrance. As we were walking to the front door my mom and I started conversing Mom- kian , sweety just please try to have a positive outlook on this Kian - and how should I do that , I just had to leave everything behind... Mom - I know sweety... but.. try please? For me? Kian- *sighs and smiles* alright , I will We walked into the main entrance and I looked around the building "man this place is huge!!!" I said aloud with a big smile on my face me and my mom walked and tried to figure out where the main office was. Luckily for us it was right to the next of us. We walked inside the main office and was greeted by a fox , had to be in her early twenties she was wearing a bullet for my mate v-neck tshirt , along with skinny cut and dark pants , her hair was a pretty good length and was tossed over one shoulder. "hello there , im ms.atkins how may I help you two today" she said leaning on the counter of the main office desk "um hello there , im here to enroll my son kian " the fox seemed to have known we were coming because for some reason her facial expression changed drastically from super happy , to kind of scared and worried look. I tilted my head as she was walking away and saying "right then , I shall go get the main principle and he can talk and help you guys through the process." ... "mom did you see how her face changed so fast after you said my name" I said nudging my moms shoulder "I know kian... that was weird as fuck.." tracey my mother said "mom! " I said , "watch your language it's a high school , you're an adult your suppose to be a role model" I said to my mother. (ok I know none of you are interested in the enrollment process so ill just skip it) As we left the school and got into the car the whole car ride home my mind was racing even more thinking about Kevin (still for some odd reason) and the way that girl reacted when she herd my name oh well I shrugged them both off for now and just turned on the radio and tried to find a radio station. Luckly I found one fast it was 101.3kgot and to my surprise my favorite song was playing , and me and my mom both looked at each other and smiled big and blared the radio and started dancing in the car , well I did and my mother just moved her head and her arms with them still on the steering wheel "tonight were going hard hard ha ha ha hard (hard) Just like the world is ours ours our our our ours (ours) Were tearing it apart part par par apart (apart) You know were superstars WE ARE WHO WE ARE Were dancing like were dumb dumb du-" For some reason the radio cut off and we could not for the life of us find a station "huh.... weird" I said confused oh well we were already back into our neighborhood and pulled up into the driveway and went inside. I decided to fully explore my new house while my mom started cooking dinner. I manauevered my way around all the boxes spreaded across the house to get to the doorway and there was a door that I did not notice when I first came inside. I looked around to make sure my mom didn't see me and did what any nosey person would do... opened the door slyly and closed it right behind me. It was pretty dark and I couldn't find a light switch , so I reached inside my jeans pocket and pulled out my zippo lighter , flipped the top open . spun the wheel and sparked the flint onto the rope in the zippo to light up. It gave me little light but enough to at least see in front of me and the steps. i will say this for a two story house that looks like it was just built . the stairwell was creeping me out and I got a pretty bad vibe but I just shrugged it off and crept down the stairs when I stopped at the bottom of the stairwell I tried to find the wall and moved my paw all around to find a switch , luckily however it was right next to the bottom step. Once I flicked on the light switch the whole place lit up and as soon as it did , man I got the weirdest vibe ever. I stayed at the bottom of the stairwell looked around. "man this is a huge basement " I said chuckling to myself. "I could do so much down here" I said to myself as I started to walk around . something however caught my attention that was hanging from the wall. "oh fuck yeah!" I said running towards it. Soemething that was finally in my skill range to practice with.
