A life leeched away. - Written by Xinnova2

The world had always been a beautiful place, covered in mountainous regions, plains scattered around and sea's that outnumbered them with so much mystery within. Two great mountain ranges rose high into the clouds, their tops covered in white cold damp sand like substance that melted to the touch. The valley that lies between these two great ranges is covered in the rich green pastures that support the life from which comes from our small village of fifty or so; give or take the fact a new child is born every so often. Our village was always nestled comfortably between the two great mountains to help protect us from the harsh environment that had always surrounded us, but the harshest of cruel dangers didn't lie out there with the wild life or rough terrain; But within ourselves. Jealousy, envy and brutality were all quite common here in our lands as we were a tribal race of coyotes; having made it this far we didn't see the need to change our ways.

Having been protected for centuries by the great marshes that laid on the outskirts of the strong mountains, no one dared to step into them for fear of the dangerous creatures living within! Only the rival tribe ever dared to slip through such harsh conditions, as they themselves made such their home every day. The race of reptilian crocodiles were adapted to the marshes and knew well of its many dangers, having been around for just as long as our own kin. It wasn't uncommon for our two tribes to meet and offer a trade of goods and supplies, so we would constantly see their scaly hides in and out of our tribe's wooden fencing.

Enough about that though, let's talk about something rather more important than all of that. About a certain young coyote and one who was rather well loved; respected and with an ego that would strangle a dragon! I suppose not everyone was blessed with my strong bulky build, or my dashingly handsome good looks. Was it truly wrong for me to wish to flaunt such things and show off the body of a god? Perhaps it was these very traits that put me in the place that I am in now? My brown and grey fur was washed daily, to give it a sort of shine even though I worked just as hard as all the other males in my tribe!

Perhaps I should have seen it all coming, but like a deer gazing into the lights before it's been struck I continued on with no a care in the world. After all the adults of the tribe all looked up to me, or so I would have believed as I stirred up from my slumber to meet the new day! Our tribe used the skins of our prey to fashion that of small huts, mine just so happened to be one of the finest. I never really thought much on it, that I was so perfect at everything. My father had always just thought it was good fortune to have such a talented son, and I foolishly allowed myself to be absorbed into who I was and what I could do!

I stretched as I exited my hut wearing only a tan skin vest and the gift I was given by my mother, a pair of short jean pants that came from the outside world. This heightened my spoiled nature as all the others were forced to wear their loin clothes. I had begun to make my way through my normal rounds of showing off for the lady's, and adding the elders in our tribe with their various tasks; when I saw her. The prized daughter of the tribe's leader, she was perhaps the most precious gem of all the woman I have ever met! I knew as soon as my strong yellow orbs met her soft blue's that she was the one I wished to claim as mine, though I had little doubt being the greatest of the young males that she would want nothing less than my perfection.

Having just finished doing another meaningless task of finding fresh meat for the tribe, I found my precious gem skinning a buck for its hide. I couldn't help myself but to drop my fresh kill and casually move over to her, placing my hands gently on the glistening silver fur on those slim shoulders; I began to massage them tenderly. She began to let out a gentle moan to the wonderful feeling of my digits pressing into sore muscle! It was another of my many gifts I must admit, all the females loved it when I touched their bodies with those strong, rather firm hands of mine.

"Tannis you're such a tease!" She spoke with a soft playful giggle in her tone.

"I can't help but tease something so pretty as the snow that graces our twin peaks above." I retorted with a smug smirk and witty charm that I had to say was another of my fine qualities.

"Mmm so you would compare me to that of frozen water?" She replied with a soft smile, glancing back at me as I saw her wink.

"Frozen water that I would soon melt, water being the start of all life" I exclaimed with that same unwavering charm that held a hidden meaning as I saw her blush, losing her resolve.

"You would have the once frozen water bring life to your loins, and then ask the same water to care for the sons and daughters. Are you sure the water is ready for such a task?" She commented with a bit of her own worry now, having poured a bit of emotion into our strange conversation.

"No one is ever ready, they are claimed and when the moon rises tomorrow I shall claim your frozen depths as my own" I proclaimed as my massaging hands dug in a bit to hear her moan once more as she closed her eyes tight, I knew she was mine and now she knew it as well as I was the strongest I would get first pic.

Our traditions were just as old as our tribe, and yet it suited me just fine as I would no doubt steal alpha from our leader one day. But little did I know, as my friend Shane stood not far away with one of the crocodile outsiders; that my long term plans would come crashing down on me. As my massage ended, and I graced my princess with a soft lick upon her neck I made my way back; moving right by Shane and his new friend. The scruffy looking brown furred coyote male caught me as I was walking past with an arm around my neck, forcing me to stop and move into a conversation I was unprepared for!

"Tannis, so I've heard you're the talk of the tribe now? That you could even be the first to pick a mate this season as well, good for you bud!" Shane spoke smoothly, baiting me as he fed into my ego so easily as I just smirked and accepted it with a nod.

"But no male can ever call himself a male unless he takes the challenge of adulthood!" He continued, causing my ears to perk at this having never even heard of such a challenge!

"What is this challenge you speak of Shane? You know I'm up for anything!" I boasted, almost like that of a real fool.

"Oh I know you are buddy, I was counting on that" He chuckled as he motioned with a hand towards the strong, brutal looking croc wearing nothing but nature's design with his strong arms crossed over broad muscular chest. He stood at least eight feet tall!

"This here is Talon; he comes from the other tribe just inside of the marsh. He told me such a rare story of the male's write passage into manhood" Shane explained with such coated words, but my brain wasn't even registering any of this now as my eyes for some reason couldn't look up at this Talon guy.

"Shane, our little friend here looks scared are you sure he's the great hunter you spoke of?" The large croc finally rumbled out towards us both causing me to shiver, but then retort with a snarl!

"I'm that and so much more! I will show you both, just tell me what to do!"

I couldn't see their eye's meeting, nor did I acknowledge the grin's both of them now shown so devilishly as they laid out the challenge for me. In the marsh lies a creature known as the bog leech, we had heard stories of them and how they enjoyed feasting on the energies of the living. But none in our village had seen one, to kill one would mean I would be the first to ever do so, but at the same time I was so curious as to the feeding habits and what it was like to be within one of their bowels. Slowly having my energy pulled from my body, and then once I was near fading into an unconscious state spat back out again!

The only one I have ever told this secret to was the coyote I was now following into the marshlands, Shane knew all my secrets as we had grown up together since birth. He knew me as well as I knew myself, and we had always been in such strong competitions but sadly I had never lost to him yet. We made our way into the deepest parts of the marsh, seeking to find one of these great leeches just before it was about to snag a prey.

"You know Tannis, if we find one of these great leeches you could always try out that thing you have always wanted to do with one" He grinned, speaking teasingly to me as I felt an elbow in my side.

"R-really?" I blushed a bit through my brown fur on my muzzle as I looked to Talon who only nodded with a smirk as Shane wrapped an arm around my neck!

"I already talked to the big guy about it and we came to an agreement, we will be out here waiting until you wake up. It's a once in a lifetime chance for you bub" He continued as we moved to a clearing, and there it was; the creature of legend!

Its great body was easily double my size, having a dark purple top and a lighter purple bottom with a white line moving in between them like that of a soft cream. Its front was nothing but mouth as it opened to give off a sort of yawn as it crawled around the marshy soil. My eyes just locked onto it right away as I toned out everything around me as Shane's words just kept going on and on I'm sure. It was possibly more beautiful than what I had first imagined, and the way it seemed to wiggle as it slithered around made it so hard for me to break my gaze from it.

Which was easily resolved as another hard elbow struck me against the side of my ribs, causing me to snarl a bit as I glared at my friend; who only smirked at me as if it felt so good to hurt me. Oh how I wished I would have allowed my instincts to take hold, it was such a rooky move to allow my ego to outweigh my instincts. I could have picked up on everything so early as I moved towards the leech, stealthily creeping up on it; my two companions within the safety of the bushes as they just watched it all unfold. I felt my heart pound so hard, as if it wanted to leap from my chest and run away leaving my body a lumpy corpse. My feet clenched against the loose moist dirt of the swampland, my body slipping closer and closer to my goal as fear began to sink in!

What was I doing?! I was facing off against a creature I had never met before, that I had never once even known existed as I turned my head back to Shane as if to question to sanity of this! But alas, it was out of my paws now as I saw the surprised expression as I turned to walk back to them allowing my instincts to finally come to me. But then it happened, like looking away just as you take a needle in the arm. One of the largest of leeches was high above me in the tree's just waiting for me to move under it again, before leaping down and with maw wide it slammed down over top of me to completely engulf all that I was!

The fleshy insides of the large creature seemed so thick and moist as I fought so hard against their constantly contractions! I howled out as fear swept over me, I knew that my friends would soon come to my aid. The fleshy walls seemed to cave in on me; I felt the leech flop down on its belly causing me to howl out once again! But I didn't feel any hands upon my captor's body, nor did I hear anything but the gurgling all around me as my air began to turn thick and foul! Where were my friends, Shane and Talon; had they abandoned me in fear for being devoured as well?

On the outside, still behind those same bushes the two conspirators of my demise sealed their deal they had made. My friend Shane was never gay, but he must have been so willing to do anything to get me out of his way. The great tree seemed to rock forward as the great croc drove himself hard into the smaller, weaker coyote as he fulfilled his end of the bargain to the croc who was never really a friend at all. Either way, it didn't change anything; my screams never met on their ears as the coyote howled out as his virginity was stolen by the greedy and lustful croc! Bending him over a large root of the tree the croc easily overpowered the coyote as he drove himself repeatedly into the squealing male as he felt his pucker spread wider than it had ever been forced to before even with meals he had eaten whole!

I would never have to worry about such things, as my thoughts rushed over my own survival now; but even that was bleak as I felt the crushing walls of the powerful leech as it sucked away my very energy, forcing me to become still and docile! The leech didn't move from its spot, as I felt myself losing the battle of consciousness now as darkness gripped me and took me from the fear and terror of being inside of this monster, knowing that it would soon spit me out. I clung to that so tightly, the hope that everything would be alright as I passed out inside of the leech; just as the great crock busted a nut inside of the small coyote claiming the coyote as his for the night!

"My my, who would have thought you little dog's would make such great lovers" Talon boasted as he pushed Shane to the ground, allowing him to pull free from his large cock!

With a grunt the coyote fell to the ground, with panted breath he just rested there fearing that the croc had ripped him in half. But it was all worth it as he grinned toothily; it meant he was now the top of his generation and that he would now get to claim the alpha's daughter for himself! The swamp was a dangerous place, but as Talon pointed out to Shane just to follow the same path back; he would find his way home in no time. Who knew if the two of them ever met again after that, but one thing was for sure; Shane now had a bargaining chip with the swamp folk. He slowly rose to his feet and began to make his way back to bring the grave news to the tribe.

Light soon returned to me, as I found myself lying on my back in the swamp in the same spot were the leech had claimed me. My yellow eyes just gazed up at the sky now, was everything just a dream? My eyes gazed around not seeing any of the leeches, nor did I see my friends from before as I too rose to my feet. Was this all just a sick joke? As I made my way through the swamp, I knew the way I came would be the best choice. I didn't take in the fact I heard no sound nor did I see a single creature in the swamp.

My feet felt lighter than normal, my chest was rather cold as I began to make my way into the village I had known all my life. It was empty now; everything was in its place as it was before I left for this challenge to gain the loyal love of my future mate. But not a soul resided in the once thriving village, was this all just a dream now? I found the spot where the beautiful daughter had been skinning the deer for its hide as I settled down onto my rear to take up the knife. Loneliness had gripped me so hard, what was this plain of existence I had now come to call my own? I gripped the knife so hard before it slowly fell through my hand onto the ground, my eye's gazing at my hand as it began to fade into thin nothingness!

My mind raced as I held up my other hand to measure just what was happening, only to find that my other was fading as well! Tears began to fill my eyes now; the once proud male was now reduced to crying like that of a child as everything felt so out of his control. It was like a horrible nightmare, my head jerked back to howl out now! "Why is this happening to me?!" I screamed out, almost hearing an echo all around me as I felt a tingling coldness in my feet.

My heart sank now, as I beheld my own two strong legs soon matching that of my arms as they too turned ghostly and faded into nothing! Was this some sort of curse given to me? I couldn't comprehend the reasoning for which I was being treated with such cruelty; was I losing my mind? The fading didn't cease as it traveled over my body, causing me to appear as if I was floating in the air. Taking in all I had known, images from my mind seemed to be escaping me as I forgot even the simplest of memories! My last thoughts were of the beautiful face of the daughter, the thoughts of finally having a family. All of which seemed to fade from my thoughts as my head slowly joined in and faded as well!

In reality the poor coyote was being digested away from a hybrid type of bog leech, Tannis was just unlucky to have been found by such a creature. Though the croc and his friend Shane knew well this was where the hybrid's lived and hunted. It was only a matter of time and for poor Tannis timing was almost too perfect. Not only was his energy drained; but soon his body would be digested as well and that wasn't even the worst part! As his spirit was now caught between two plains of death and living the leech began to absorb that energy as well fully consuming all that the coyote is and was! His body slowly melted away into a soup that was soon absorbed into the fleshy walls of the great leech as it claimed him fully and added him to its fat. His spiritually energy just added flavor to what the leech had already tasted as it would no doubt spend days turning the poor creature into more of its own body mass!

While back in the village Shane embraced the leader's daughter under the moonlight, pressing himself against her. Claiming her with his mighty male hood as it plunged into her hungry cunny's lips to be his for this season of mating; having told the whole tribe of the horrible accident that befell their once mighty Tannis and the hybrid bog leech that took him from them. Easily taking the girl and the tribes pride as his own now that his greatest rival was no more!
