The region of the five temples

This is a supplemental needed later in the series to understand some references.
Just north of Unova there is an island region. There are nearly impassable mountains too high for most aircraft. Traveling by foot is a hazardous journey. The steep rocks and jagged cliffs make the climb a real challenge. Add to the fact, but the large plateaus on top of the mountain range are in high altitudes with oxygen bottles a requirement. Baring through the mountain range is limited at best. You can see rayquaza flying in its natural habitat. The region name comes from the satellite images of the region. It has a large mainland and several hundred islands out to sea. The only way to travel there is a three-week voyage by ship. Then, smaller vessels are required to travel. There are few roads on the islands. The roads are on the mainland. The five temples that name the region are massive. They can be seen miles away carved out of mountains as one single piece. Humans are uncommonly close to pokémon in many aspects. Human population is about half of any other region. The pokémon population is 40 percent larger than other regions. Trees are abundant, but due to language barriers and currency exchange rate logging is impossible. There is no central governing body. Pokémon live freely in the region stating from small towns and villages to great cities. They learn to read and write a little from a young age to allow peaceful communication. They can become more literate if they want to have more wealth from goods or knowledge. They also tend to use alcohol regularly. Humans and pokémon work on farms to feed the many who live in the cities. Currency is common, but trade is more abundant for small transactions. Larger islands have there own currency made for them to control inflation. The humans speak old Kanto from a dialect of about 5,000 years ago. It does the same with there writing. Humans do not use poké balls to catch pokémon. Instead they defeat the pokémon and when it wakes up they ask it to fallow them. This means a trainer must have a minium of ten pokémon with them and they're young and mates come with them. They can leave whenever they want and after three days the rule is they left the trainer unless it is due to late stage pregnancy which the rule is one month. Many trainers bring baskets for that reason. The mother can now carry her young in the basket or the trainer does under the mothers watchful eye. Combat is different, and it does not just involve moves and agility. The pokémon also uses their bodies' moments as attacks. Hurling the opponent clear into a wall or ceiling if inside. There are five gyms in the league, one at each temple. The battle is canceled if the combatants begin to mate. They are closed in the mid winter when female pokémon goes into heat. During that period fights are over breeding partners, sometimes to the death. They usually last two to five years. Some are documented infancies that the mate till one death of one partner. Pokémon as a group are extremely diverse not based on type alone. They are green vaporeon from parents of an eevee evolution and an opposing type pokémon. The females give live birth except for flying and bug type pokémon. The DNA of most of the pokémon has recessive traits. Like actual posing reproductive organs. Type is not necessary for reproduction. Travel there is very dangerous. The people believe that poké balls are a form of enslavement and only needed if the pokémon is in near death due to fighting. They are released after they are in the pokémon center for medical treatment. If the pokémon kills the trainer, they were not worthy to be a trainer and live. This rarely happens because they must respect their pokémon. If they use a poké ball to catch it, they deserve death. This causes problems for trainers the learned from other regions which are told this several time. It is considered disgraceful behavior and they are banished if they do not release the pokémon and apologies for the capture. Other risks are the diseases of the region. A poké virus variant can migrate and kill humans. There are two types of poké virus in the region. The first is deadly to humans and pokémon. The second allows the pokémon to have increased strength. The first poké virus type has caused dozens of pandemic over their recorded history. The virus first causes sores that are yellow. Then, it starts rotting the skin. Finally your organs begin to shut down due to a septic blood poisoning. Death usually occurs in one week. The humane thing is to kill them when their skin begins to rot, then any treatment is too late. The temples are all ninetales in shape. The central one is called by humans "The temple of the wise." The pokémon call it " The temple of the reborn." The story goes that a wise ninetales foretold her return as a goddess to lead the region to peace and wealth. She would guide the next prophet of the past to avoid the previous mistakes that wiped out the world and caused mass destruction. The temple has two sections. The exterior section has the largest arena in the region. Battles and sport events happen there with great excitement and praise. That is the league's central location. The inner temple has had a tomb that contained a ninetales and mightyena. They are on a loan to a museum in Unova. The inner temple has a shrine dedicated to one ninetales. The name of that pokémon is kept secret as it is a test. The name is well known but, is sacred almost a taboo to speak it. To the south there is the temple of medicine. It is a researcher or doctors dream. Hundreds of books, models, and diagrams are stored there. A young researcher could start reading and die out of old age. Pokémon biology is the main part of the temple. Medicines formulas from the region are stored there. Their entire medical knowledge is for anyone to see. Extra copies are stored in a different location so, it the temple is destroyed the data is not lost. To the west is the temple of courage. Fighting styles include humans wresting pokémon, pokémon battles, and other forms of training. To the north is the temple of wisdom. This is where pokémon learn how to read and write. This allows for smoother communications between humans and pokémon to avoid future conflict. Humans learn there to at a young age. Humans and pokémon also learn in local schools. Only the best and brightest learn at the temple. The final temple is to the east. It is called the temple of history. Stone carvings depict the first pandemic and the rebirth of civilization. The humans who left to reclaim the world after a thousand years in slumber tried to fix their mistakes. The human race is from those individuals. It also tells the story about the pokémon who kept the knowledge around and started the region's philosophy about humans and pokémon. The survivors were immune to the poké virus that mutated into the second type of poké virus.
